four-year-old was placed under the custody of his father as for Kira she was charged with First Agreement and taken to jail with a similar compassion for kids officers were left heartbroken when a 10-year-old boy was run over by a heartless woman who fled the scene shortly after I don't call it I don't yeah it's open his M stop what's happening what the the kid just ran right out in front of my truck I supposed to go get his mom stop moving around I seen my baby skin and bone you seen the bone hanging out yes and his Fe on December the 23rd 2023 officers received a disturbing 911 call a woman had run over a child with her vehicle according to Witnesses she had initially stepped out and blames the kid for jumping in front of her car however when she noticed onlookers starting to gather she fled the scene from the 911 call officers realized the case would weigh heavily on their hearts demanding both strength and result what hey does anybody got video cameras but I can't did anybody see anything I did I yeah care just this way from here look his shoe right there sheing okay all right man I'm you seen everything yeah okay just wait over there for me can you do me a favor wait by that car for me I they called it I don't yeah it's open open open yeah yeah yeah FD is going to call trauma alert uh open fracture on the right foot black male approximately 10 years of age conscious breathing alert I know anybody no but I I saw their car I saw her R over it and I know that woman yes I even know her house okay officers arrived on the scene of the accident noticing how distressed and concerned the community was about the injured 10-year-old boy to get more facts in the story one officer took the boy's mother aside who shared upsetting details and my kids was outside so I ran out the door like to check so when I came outside I seen him like on the floor like screaming right here okay where the first black mark is and she's still driving so I'm like coming up like hey hey like this like screaming still driving on the kids yeah she's still going with the car so I'm screaming like hey like this to her so I guess I guess she see me going like this she jumps out the car and then she pick him up and she's like why would you jump in the front of a car while I'm driving and she picked him up and just put him where you guys see him right now and I ran up to him and I just called 911 like instantly I could tell she was going to leave when she when she was already in the floor was the was the tire on him still like on his leg yeah oh so the which tire was it it's she was driving this way so this this side front tire yeah okay was the front uh the the front right tire was still on the kids B mhm and then you trying to Signal yeah trying to Signal her to stop and that's when she she back up or no she just stopped her car and then she when she tried to pull him the first time she couldn't pull him she got in she backed up a little bit got out and then she pulled him she was like why would you jump in the front of a car while I'm driving and then she got back in the car Witnesses at the same recounted the incident describing how the van's Tire had crushed the boy's foot after which the suspect fled the scene what she went which direction did she went another straight she went straight but she turned right here you see where these apartments are right here you can turn right there there you can park there she turned made her right right there okay and then she came back she made backed up that's what my friend have the on her ring camera she said I see when she backed up from my ring she backed up and she turned back and zoom this way your friend has the video of her turning it in there she don't have the like of her drag cuz she lives on the other side do you know who she is the lady the white no I always see her in here I don't know who she is okay can you describe her for me she have blonde hair she had a I think a green or black jacket mhm she was driving a green van she's skinny skinny and you gave the the dispatcher the tag for the for the F right I kept saying it but I can't remember right now okay was anybody else in the car with her no it was just only her and then her husband ran up here and said she went to the store okay she'll be right you talk to her at any point briefly after after yelling at her to sty or anything yeah I was like where you going you got away I called the police she was like no I'm going to his mom I know his mom that's what she said she was getting the car for but I could tell she was lying the way she was saying it didn't look like she was going to go call call a mom cuz you don't have to get back in your car okay they live right there right how did she seems to you when you talk to her uh what do you mean like if she was when you look at her I me did she see see she looked scared like she was scared but it didn't look like she was worried about him she was like basically telling him why was he in the road okay and she just drove off and she just drove off she went back this way Northeast 16th out and Northeast 4 street I'm going 1050 on [Music] it put it in drive for [Music] me hello I got to go get this kid's mom I have to go get this kid's mom he just ran right out in front of my truck the truck step out of the truck anybody else in the truck no it's just me I've got to go get this kid's mom dude you're not supposed to leave us soon she told me to go get his mom the truck he told me to go get his mom what the [ __ ] stop oh my God do not move okay he told me to go get his mom what's happening stop moving St stopping he told me to go get his mom guys he told me to go get his mom we're 10 for we got one white female there anything on hurt me he told me to go get his mom well I'm scared the kid just ran right out in front of my truck I'm supposed to go get his mom stop moving around clear the van yeah Jesus Christ am I am I not going to get it is somebody getting his mom hello we are working on it chill out and relax and relax anything onse going to stick me no I'm the kid ran right out in front of my car and I'm supposed to go get his mom here Walk This Way with me no PD F 97 what the dude yeah FD is going 97 um y I got her can you please we are going to can't what's going on you're just being detained right now put your Fe in what's your first name who's getting his mom honey we're working on itom they told me to come down this street and his mom to be at the End of the Street Joanna j o a n n a feed in for a second the officers tracked the cruel woman down and when confronted she resisted arrest arguing with the officers instead she claimed she was searching for the boy's mother but the officers knowing the boy's mother belonged to the neighborhood she fled from weren't fooled by her baseless stories okay I wasn't trying to leave I live right there where it happened listen at the end of the day you still got to stop I did stop I told the lady I said I'm going to go get his mom and she said go get his mom the lady that was standing out front with me I got out of the car I checked I got him out of the street I set him down he said I need my mom I know where his mom lives because he plays with my son this happened right out in front of my house this is my wife who hit the kid in the neighborhood okay so do me a favor just stay over there for me okay for right now I don't know what the hell's going on she said she was leaving to go to the store and then my neighbor come banging on door and said she hit some kid okay she asked my phone I have no phone or nothing supposed to be driving the van it's my boss's work van okay all right oh my God I'm sorry I got my breath take a breath I just yeah I ran all the way over here they one of the cops said that they stopped her right down the street here so I don't know why she didn't stop I don't know what yeah so I mean nothing but trouble for me man all right take a breath let me know when you're ready yeah you yeah so yeah she uh hit a kid in The Preserves yeah where we live obviously left um and I stopped her here uhhuh and then her excuse was that uh they told her to go get the child's mom oh my God he lives in the neighborhood no absolutely course not she's saying that he obviously lives right there by our house so um I asked her to get out of the van she was reluctant to she started digging around her wallet so I said to take her out and she got a little froggy but she's not hurt you know we put we put her in handcuffs and she's back there she's detained right now so we're doing the investigation um as far as yes she has my phone pH my ID in it as far as I know the child is is uh is okay yeah I saw him out there you know before the ambulance come and picked them up but so I don't know what's going to happen with the van um you know what they're going to do so she's not even supposed to be driving work the situation took a turn when the woman's husband arrived and revealed that she'd been driving to his work without permission or a valid driving license and then as tensions escalated the suspect's behavior took a pretentious turn just chill out well I'm scared that little kid plays with my son I have no idea if his mom's there or not we are making contact with the mom it's okay oh my God I can't even wipe the sweat dude this is such I'm such a good person all I do is sit at home and take care of my kid that's it see he's mad for no freaking reason the Mother wasn't do it was right out in front of my house the do you mean where was I going to go I panicked I went to go get the kid's mom after dragging him out of the street chill so when am I going to jail because I went to go get his mom at the end of the day you were involved in yeah I know the kid ran right out in front of my car Ser it's not what I said I told you to chill out listen you were involved in an accident okay at the end of the day you were involved in an accident with a serious injury front of my car with a serious injury okay so just chill out relax you're being detained I never said you were under arrest but you are being detained I just got to read something to you okay yeah I'm required to warn you before you make any statement you have the following constitutional rights okay one you have the right to remain silent not answer any questions do you understand that yes do any statement you make must be freely and voluntarily given do you [Applause] depart I need my medication can just can yeah I need an ambulance now I don't know what's going on take a deep breath I can't take a deep breath I need I need an ambulance the woman tried to portray herself as a good person however her act didn't convince the officers one bit who were all too familiar with such tactics she was a woman who cared little for others and would have gone Scot free had the long arms of Justice not been able to find her officers once again spoke with the Witnesses on the scene a conversation that turned emotional real quick did you see the vehicle at all no you did not see the vehicle at all I was upstairs he was out here playing basketball can uh where were you at during this you're in the house as well all right can you just do me a favor and hang out by my car real quick I'll be with you on one second go ahead I'm sorry so you ran down here and then I T to the lady say she already called the police I was just waiting for you okay so you like did he say some kind of car hit me or what did he say anything all he said was mommy come here come here that's it okay and after that I don't know I just lost okay and what were the injuries that you seen I seen I seen my baby skin and bone you seen the bone hanging out yes and his it's all right it's all right listen he's going to a very good Hospital okay he's doing very good place his feet was wobbling and both of them are just the right one just the right
