On December 19th, 2025, police responded to a disturbance involving an employee at a local business. Watch how officers handle the situation as a routine workplace call begins to unfold into something more complex. Here is what occurred. >> What's up, bud? What can we help you with, bud? >> I just got fired. >> You just got fired? Stay right there. I don't know if we're recording audio or video. >> Okay, so I I just came in. I was really having a bad day at work. >> All right, that's fine. >> Okay, before before I was starting, that's fine. She She told me punch in the clock. She went in the computer in the front. >> She punched in herself. >> I punched in herself and then told them I didn't I didn't punch out. She said I punched in 2:55. I punched in 2:55. And she was like, "No." So I had to take off and I left. I said, "Ma'am, I've been here since 5:00 in the morning." So they kept going back and forth, back and forth. I just said, "You know what? [ __ ] it. I quit." They said, "We'll call the police." I started screaming and yelling. I said, "Call the police. Do what you got to do. I'm exploring myself out. I have said I ain't touched nothing. I didn't steal nothing. It was a word of mouth. I only punched in twice. That's all I said, so I punched >> You have every right to be upset. >> I punched in at 5:00. Only on the laptop. I punched out at I just said I didn't hurt nobody. I didn't touch nobody. I didn't steal nothing. If you want to check, have no problem there. >> You don't have any weapons, do you? >> No, sir. >> You mind if I I have a weapon? >> You can check anything you want, sir. >> Just going to pat you down, all right? >> Yes, sir. >> Tell me no if you don't want me to. >> Okay, with that. >> Just so that we're all safe here. No, no, no, no, no. >> Hey, man. >> Oh, I don't want to shoot you, bud. >> That is not what we want to do to you boss. >> cooperating. I'm just trying to get out of this situation. All right, you're good. You're good. >> They turned like that because you can check my bag if you want. You're right. >> Oh, no. We just need your ID. Okay. >> I'm not going to lie. I'm going to have my ID. I don't I don't have my ID. I was working here. I live in Jersey City. What's my name though? My first name is >> Buena Ventura. My last name is Duran. >> That's the only it was just me. Yeah, it was very loud. >> The only reason we got called is because I guess you got loud. >> I saw y'all pull up in the I saw y'all pull up. I came down to talk to y'all. So, I mean if you want to talk to them, I'm telling the same story that they're telling I'm telling. >> Yeah. So, what's going to wind up happening is I don't know if there's damage to the lock. All right. We go in there and there's damage in there on the locker and that's all you did. We're not going to arrest you for that. They would have the right to do criminal charges for that. That's not something we're going to address. But, we have to document the whole thing. >> Why did you call them? >> I'm just going to ask that you give me you've been very cooperative. Give me all your correct information. >> Yes, sir. Matter of fact, here you go. Buena Ventura. It's only one out because it's too short. My name's too long. Buena Ventura is my first name Duran is my last. >> Okay. Okay. Spell out the rest of it for >> B U E N A V E N T U R A B U E N A V E N T U R A First name is Buena Ventura. Last name is Duran. D U R A N First name Address >> Do you know your social by any chance? >> Good. Go with the general. I told you. You got to do the morning show? >> No, no, shut up. Yes, sir. >> You rich? Yes, sir. >> All right, so I guess I got to just figure out what their rent is. If there's damage to the locker, again, we're not going to write >> No, there's no damage. There's more damage to my hand than the locker. I I promise. >> EMS? >> No, no, no, no. >> Sure? >> No, I'm all right. >> All right, that's what I'm going to check out. >> No, no, no, no. No, no, this was actually stitched. This was stitches, so it just got healed up. Yes, I'll be honest, very honest with you. That's how it was. The lady messed up my whole time. She said she wasn't paying me. I'm like, man, I've been here I got >> the issue that she wasn't paying you? >> Okay, so I went to lunch at 1:58. She forced us to punch out. We were supposed to wait till 2:00. She said, "Punch out now." Okay, punch out. They gave us 1 hour lunch. All I did was time to go back to work. All I did was punch back in. Sorry. All I did was punch back in. Sorry. At 2:00 at 2:55 I punched in. At 2:55 I saw my name Ben in the computer said Ben Durant punched in. Thank you. Go clock in. Go back to work. All I did was This is toilet paper in here. I bring my own toilet paper from my house. >> Okay. >> So all I did was bring toilet paper to the bathroom. I used the bathroom. I took a number two, obviously. Soon as I come back she goes, "You didn't punch in. You're not getting paid. You're late. I need you to sign this paper. You are late. You are not getting paid." I said, "Ma'am, I punched in 2:55. Please look at your cameras." "No, you didn't. You're not getting paid. I don't care what you're saying." She just had a snotty attitude and walked off. I got tired I'm going to be honest, I got tired of her already from a whole week, bro. She just mad disrespectful. Then I told the boss himself. I'm not going to even lie to you. I cursed the boss out. Cursed him out. I won't even sit here and lie and waste your time. I cursed him out. I was disrespectful. >> anybody at all? >> Won't sit here and lie. I I did tell her, I said, "Ma'am, you're playing I won't even lie to you, bro. I I think I might have just said I said I slapped the [ __ ] out of him. Won't even lie. Won't even sit here and waste your time. >> All right. Okay. >> That's all I didn't say I'll kill you. I'll come back and I'll >> what I was alluding to. That's what I was talking about. >> no no no no. All I said was man you don't know me. I said man I'll slap the [ __ ] I said don't play with me. I got two kids. I've been here. I got here 4:30 in the morning. I've been in here since 5:00. You guys had us All I told the big boss was you had me work 8 hours before giving me lunch. I was like normal hours anything after 10 is 4 hours and a 15 minute break. And he was like you could go now. So I said what are you firing me for? I said I never I didn't abandon my job. What are you firing me for right now? Oh we can't go on like this. I said because your your personnel messed up my hours and don't want to pay me. I said I'm just asking you to please fix my time. So as I'm leaving the street he goes I'll fix your time. I said so this is what it took for you to do it. So I I ain't going to lie I just told him I said [ __ ] you. I'll say [ __ ] you you piece of [ __ ] I said and I'm not going to lie I said if they tell me to have my money before I slap the [ __ ] that's all I said. I walked out. I punched the locker one time and I slammed the [ __ ] locker. I walked. >> I thought my guy down here y'all was already down here. >> Oh yeah we're here. What? >> I said nobody touched. Did it I didn't say I was going to shoot somebody. I was going to kill. I never said >> No threat no threat. Besides the slapping in the face was made. Okay that's fine. >> And I only said that at I'm not going to hit no female cuz I you know how it goes. I was just angry. It's the holidays. They keep doing this [ __ ] day by day by day. >> Yeah. >> I one of the fastest packing workers. I told him I do 800 packing a day. Don't not not even your full time workers do this. And he was like no you're right. But I said why is she playing around with my money and my time? I said I've been here almost 8 straight hours already. Then you sent us to lunch after 8 hours. I said come on this is not right. They had an attitude. So I called one back and I guess my attitude got me fired. So that's what it was to be honest with you. >> It's the overdose and give me their information. Run a search on him. >> And then I already knew what I >> I'm going to ask you up front you've been very honest with us so I don't I don't think you're going to lie. Do you know if you have any active warrants? >> I don't have no warrants. You check my name. >> All right we're going to. The only reason we're going to is because you did make statements that you you said you were going to slap him. >> No, hey do the procedure so I have no problem with that 100%. >> Do you know do you drive? >> No, I don't. >> Okay, so no tickets or anything like that? >> No, sir. Nothing at all. >> All right, so you you're going to be cleared then more than likely. All right. >> Talk to us. >> So like I said, what's going to wind up happening is we have to do a report. >> No problem. >> Here is it is what it is. >> coming back after you though. >> I was actually going to say if they were willing to give you your job back cuz it seemed like they were willing to fix it. You'll be If they were willing to give you your job back you know what I mean? >> That's out the window. >> I'm sure that's out the window nowadays. >> Nowadays, yeah. >> No, but >> It's the holidays. I don't want to see you you walk away from your job during the holidays. >> It's not that to be honest every man does need a job. I do need a job. You're right to you know to support my family, my kids and everything. I I'd rather respect you. >> I could say everybody has a breaking point. I get it. I completely understand. >> It's the way they treat people man like I'm telling like you're treating people wrong and he's like don't deal with it then. I'm like you're right. I'm not going to deal with it. >> So I I'm not going to I apologize. >> I don't want to say that. Make myself in the back. I did go off I did go off 100%. >> I appreciate you being honest. Hey listen you said this you said this has been ongoing and it's been building. So >> I didn't even want to waste your time. As soon as I saw I said oh they're for me. I I said they're for me. I I said I I want to go talk to. So there's two sides to every story. You're right. >> That's correct. >> I'm in the wrong 100%. I'm in the wrong. It could have been better ways. >> It could have been it could have been handled better but >> I'm not going to lie to you. I couldn't hold it no more. >> I couldn't. Listen I and that's what I just said. Everybody has a breaking point. I completely >> No more. No more. >> As long as you didn't put your hands on anyone. >> no no no. No. Not at all. Everything's on camera. Everything's on camera. >> Right. Good. >> They're starting that process now. >> No problem. So what's your first name? >> Yes. >> Can you go with that last part about the train station. Our our reputation precedes us. >> I mean All right, so Officer Magner just informed me that you are trespassing and not allowed on the property. >> I have no problem with that, sir. >> That's fine. Yes, sir. If you come back >> I'll be locked up. >> You'll be locked up if you come back and you trespass. >> 100% I won't be back. >> And what's that name? They're requesting that you don't get the bus right here. So, if anything, we can drive you to the train station to get the bus. You know what I mean? >> The only reason why I can't I take the bus. >> What I What I'm saying is the train station They have a bus park. >> Oh, it's a bus terminal? >> Yeah. Yeah, so we'll just take you to the train station. >> They're going to think I'm going to do something. >> They're going to think that you're going to run away. I don't know that, but just for everybody's sake, we'll drive you to the train station. That way >> Is he going to bring me back to Jersey City? That's all I ask. >> Sure, yeah. >> It's the Yeah, it's the depot, so it should go everywhere. Or even better, >> Where? >> you bring me to the hospital across the street from the hospital. >> I can do that, too. Wherever you want to go, you don't want to go where it's a little warmer out. >> So, listen, your your story matches up with what they're saying. >> Yes, sir. >> Uh based on everything, you're not allowed back. >> No problem. >> Come back again and you Uh Do you have any warrants or anything like that? >> I don't know. I'll be out in a couple minutes. >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. You want to go to a bus stop by the hospital? That's absolutely >> Yeah, man. I'd rather, you know, just I just want to get out of here. >> So, we're all on the same page then, okay? >> Appreciate you, man. >> Thank you, man. No, I I'm >> We're sorry. >> I gave it to >> It's all right. >> You're good. >> Yes, sir. Just give us a minute to confirm it. As soon as we confirm, I'll drive you to the bus stop here. >> Sorry. So, I'm embarrassed. >> Hey, you're good. You're good. Three people just crossed over. >> No, but but me I was just telling I was just saying, "Bro, see cops and police, don't [ __ ] play around like this in life." >> That's correct. We do not >> I don't like that reputation, but we don't like >> words. >> I was going to say if I would have came with an attitude, y'all would have had a triple time attitude. And then I saw you and I don't want to get shot. It's Friday. >> Listen man, that that that club device man that's >> The only thing that hurts me that will backfire on me is just losing the job. >> Of course. Listen I get it. >> But like I told him it's certain only certain >> You got to take so much. >> That's it. >> Respect levels I get it. >> But they did tell you I I didn't say I was going to kill somebody. I was going to shoot I'm just screaming. I told her I was trying That's all I said. >> Yeah, hit the lights. >> I hit the lights. >> I take my hat off. >> Thank you boys. >> I said you've been nothing but honest. >> Yeah, it's nice to meet you live though. Well, don't get me wrong. You probably will run into people that will make some [ __ ] up until you find out >> Oh yeah, that's fine. That's usually what happens. >> What I really wanted that I see they didn't do was the one with the camera. That's all I kept asking. You didn't want the cameras. >> Well, that seemed like it goes back to whatever the issue was a week ago. The person talking to you directly. >> Well, that's what >> If that's an issue that might be something you'd have to call like maybe corporate about. >> Well, that's just a waste of time doing that. I'm as cold as y'all are. >> Yeah, you picked the worst time. You couldn't do this 20 minutes ago before the rain and everything before it drops the temperature drops. >> It happened It happened right after we came back. Literally 2:55 that's when it happened. >> Or you just waited an hour to call you guys. >> That's all they did. >> Yeah. >> We was arguing for about an hour. >> Really that long? >> It's almost about that long. Yes, sir. >> I wonder what took them so long. I just >> What took them so long but the main boss just got going in. Okay, you're going to keep going. He goes we're not going to change it. He said why you not going to change the time? He's like you you really He said you're really bitching about 7 minutes. Every minute counts. >> Well, yeah if they're >> He said if I was late 7 minutes I'd be fine. >> They're telling I was just about to say That's what would happen. Yeah. Right? right. Every minute does count. >> I finished all my work so you can't say abandonment of dismissal right work. >> Job abandonment? >> Yeah. Yeah, so I made sure I finished before we got to that part. >> Is there anything you want to get back at? >> No, no. >> We have a a few dispatches. >> I was just telling them though I have a my father the name is the same as mine. >> Okay. Is he a senior or >> He is a senior. Yeah, June so hopefully that'll come out differently. >> What's his What's his birthday? >> It's not the same as yours. October 29th maybe 19 no. >> Trouble is he ever used your birthday? >> [ __ ] my father is a career criminal. Guaranteed coming out from the >> Oh, there you go. >> 100% >> So he might have used your He might have used your your date of birth before. >> about it one thing good about that is wouldn't they have fingerprints if worse came to worse? >> Well, we would have to bring you to headquarters and then fingerprint you to verify it's not him. >> That takes about 5,000. >> No, no, no, no. That's for That's for verification. For verification like I said I can't >> here did you know it was me walking out the door? >> As soon as I saw you, yeah. So originally I said I I don't see anybody here because we were told that staff was going to meet us here to walk us over to you and then they already gave us a description over the radio. As soon as I saw you walk out that's why I said are we here for you? We're here for you. Okay. All right. >> Have I ever came here on before on some [ __ ] >> Yeah. >> Yeah, we've been here before. >> Wasn't it dishonest? >> Not dishonest. >> It rarely is. >> You be like man we lock people up coming here. >> Oh yeah, we have, yeah. Never been dishonest. >> Uh-uh. >> You would not be a very good career criminal. I'm telling you that. You would rat yourself out so quick. >> It's not It's not about like I feel as I didn't >> No, you didn't do anything. Yeah, listen like I said >> and I didn't come here on some Jersey City it would have been different. They probably would have slammed me first and then be like, "We're here for you." And I'm like, "Okay, my name is" >> Yeah. >> It's different man but I That's what I was >> Like I said as soon as I told you to stop where you are and I saw you weren't trying to approach when you realized hey okay yeah you know what let's keep space. >> So that's why I said it's different. I'm just This It was out of that all I prayed when I saw the second car I said, "Oh, they got the canine. They're going to let the canine out. Here we go. Here we go." >> No, no, no, no. We are uh well trained in what we do. We're We're good at reading. >> You don't want me I I'm just I need to ask you something. That's all I need. God bless you. God bless you. >> He's a baby. >> 43 Just turned 40. About 3 years ago. Thank you. Well, cops like you. Come to Jersey City. >> We're good. We're good. >> Killing here. Only thing I ain't going to lie, I shouldn't be saying this on the camera, but [ __ ] it. Only thing about Jersey City is police officers got some beautiful women. >> You are not wrong. You're not wrong. I'm feeling them. I love this department. We get backed very well. Our chief backs us very well, so. >> On his way to Jersey City you get some cake tacos. >> That's what we're waiting on. >> We are also waiting for that. >> freezing our asses off waiting on that. >> Would you still be able to give me a ride home? >> Yeah, while we wait. >> No. No, not necessarily no, because if we are eating at >> Just in case I got >> If we run into a situation where it turns out that you're wanted, then it's >> That's a whole different thing. >> It's a whole 'nother ballgame. >> Which one Which one of you is a sheriff or a lieutenant? You know it's one of you. >> You So, we don't have a sheriff. We're municipals. We have lieutenants, but neither >> But neither of us. So, sorry. You guys play softball or baseball? >> No, no. I used to play baseball in high school. I'm just My body's >> No, no, something like that, man. >> No, no. I >> Cops are fighters. We do one >> Well, they do one thing. >> We do one strong arm. >> No. >> Jersey City Three arm strong? >> No. >> 17 years after that I lived on Vailsburg. 17 years on You want me to say softball five years in this? Yeah, I never lived on Armstrong. That's crazy. >> Did your dad ever live on Armstrong? >> Haven't seen him since I was 18. >> That's my concern. Would he use your birthday? >> I hope not. >> Have you ever got popped for anything? >> Only time I ever been locked up in my life was 2000 when the Twin Towers fell. 2001 Yeah, October 9th, 2001. I got locked up for riot attack. I threw a little pebble at an Indian after the towers fell and I Crazy part was I did 3 months in Kearney. My first time going to court, my first time after 3 months they gave me 2 years probation and let me come home. I said, "Look at this shit." >> Yeah. >> And I wasn't smart after that cuz when the cops came I looked at the cop and said, "Oh, go ahead take me. I'll be home in 45 minutes." I can't go home and read my play. I was so mad. >> That's because you made the comment about being home in 45 minutes. They're like, "Yeah, we'll see about that." Where did this temperature drop off come from? >> I I don't I don't I have no idea. >> Right after the rain. >> Yeah. >> It was beautiful right before. Yeah. >> So was I. It was hot as hell up there. I was in like flop sweat. I came out and it's raining and freezing. I'm like, >> Jeez. >> I need like a full on sweater right now. >> Jesus. >> This is so nice. >> I don't know. I said y'all both young so y'all got fresh legs. >> I'm right there with you. I'm only what, 6 years younger than you? I'm right there with you. I joined late. >> to run, boy. >> Yeah, oh yeah. He tried >> He's ready to run, boy. >> Take off on He was a track star in high school. So take off on me and I'm not getting away. >> I was all right, man. I would be surprised I'm not running, man. I did >> Why do you think I foot pursuit if we're together? I usually just say you Yeah, exactly. I'll I'll bring the car around. You just go catch him. >> Last time you chased somebody? >> Right when I got out. It like really hasn't happened since >> You going to beat that [ __ ] no more. You run that means you did something. >> That's exactly what it is. No reason to run if you weren't guilty about it. >> And he said three arms tall. Holy [ __ ] Nah, never did that. That's dirty [ __ ] though. That's crazy how that popped up. >> Have you ever received mail there for anything? No? >> Not at all. >> Maybe maybe you never >> Never lived on Armstrong in my life. I lived at The street 17th. >> Right across the street then. >> Literally 17th. I live with my two kids and my wife. That's where I lived at. After before that I lived >> So that gives you what, 37 years? What did you do between the the ages of 1 and 6? >> My mother probably dropped me on my head or caught something. I don't know. >> I'm right there with you. >> Well, do you know what my name meant in English? >> What does it mean in English? >> Okay, so my first name is Bueno and Tuda. Bueno is good, obviously, and Tuda is adventure. >> Good adventure. >> That's my first name. >> Okay. >> My last name is correct. >> Okay. >> So every time you like I got to get off a roller coaster or something. Something. It's just embarrassing. >> That's why I don't got to do that job because I'm like [ __ ] See now I'm more calm. >> A lot more calm than when you first came out. >> It wasn't even that bad when you came out. It's just >> I was I was really >> I could see you were agitated. >> It was, man. Like for them to eat that [ __ ] bro, it's like come on. It's bad enough you you send me to watch you. >> After doing you in. >> Yeah. Like come on, man. I've been here since 5:00 in the morning. >> Do you need to go get your loved one? >> No, it's fine. >> Sure? >> Yeah. I got it. >> I can handle it. >> All right. >> I really hope they're not going to take much longer. >> I can hit Cole and be like, "Hey, what's the scoop there?" >> I try not to rush him. >> Oh. >> And he'll be like, "Shit, we're checking into it." He'll be like, >> Exactly. >> No, what happens after that is if you rush anybody on the desk, then they send you take it there. Take it take it what it is here. After we're we're from here they'll just start sending us on everything. >> Yes. >> Oh, you want to rush us? >> Exactly. Yeah. >> I was one of them once before I was a cop, so I get it. Sometimes it takes time. And again, because >> You like there or the field? >> I'm partial. Desk I like >> Yeah, both. >> But I like the desk. >> Depending on the weather? >> It's good. Right now, the desk would be great. But I I like the field, too. >> Man, that's even They they said I can't take the bus from over here. >> Well, at the end of the day, they can't tell you not to. So, if you really wanted to, as long as it's off the property, they can't tell you that. We're not going >> So, what I did what I did you want to take that? If you guys escorted me over there >> As long as you're not going to go back on the property. >> No, I'm 100% not going to care. You can take whatever Oh my god, it's life, sir. I would not even make you waste your time because let me tell you, I already know if you guys come back out here a second time, there ain't no talk. >> Yeah. >> So, I'm not even trying to go through that. >> Well, yeah, cuz now if you come on the property >> You're going to be like, "Bro, come on. I just told you." Just click click Oh, [ __ ] It's I'm not trying to be like >> So, as long as it's not on the actual property, which it shouldn't be. It should be on the road way. >> I can cross the street over there and sit right there. >> We'll uh we'll just drop you off over there. >> Thank you, man. I appreciate that. Watch, man. I'm going to you know something. >> It's a great question. >> go Yeah, I got it. >> What's going on here? >> He is our guy K9 >> No, no, no, no. He's uh our seasoned vet. He's on 14 years now. I'm on 11. He's on 14. He's a seasoned vet on the on the squad, man. That's why he was so calm when you came out when he was just in the truck doing whatever you tell him. He knows. >> He's like, "Fuck I'm going to walk my like [ __ ] ass off." >> No, actually. The first thing we were thinking is cuz you really don't feel like doing any of that. It's too cold out here. Plenty of that. >> You guys show respect, man. I really do. >> I told you as soon as as soon as I told you to stop where you were and you stopped, I was like, >> Stay in the >> I was like, >> Oh, [ __ ] >> I was like, "No, no, he's he's all right. He's fine. He's not agitated with us. He had an agitated situation. That's all." And like that's the problem. A lot of times we respond to things people will take Obviously, they get their agitated They're upset. They'll take it out on us >> cuz we're here to do our job but you you immediately just like oh [ __ ] yeah you're right it has nothing to do with you guys let me explain my my problem with the [ __ ] I work in the truck in the truck and it's gone. >> I'm telling you right now it's because of your father's information popped popped it up. >> Hey so >> got to work they got to work through it and everything. >> They they got your social >> They got to work through it to make sure you know what I mean. >> All all I heard was nothing what all I heard was nothing but >> Which again it could just be your father's information. >> If you want to let them know the only time I've been locked up like I told you was October 9th 2001. That that is definitely come up. >> I'm not that he he is a junior so there's an issue. >> I I told Matt that I just had to say to me give me the database problems.
