oh yeah sit down you sit back from me have you ever seen a normal school day turn scary here's the case about a school pickup that went alarmingly wrong a parent Under the Influence made the risky choice to drive their child home from school let's discuss the details of this eye-opening incident on February 24th 2023 a parent went to pick up their child from school people who saw what happened noticed the car driving strangely which made them worried about the safety of the child and the driver so they called the police in an emergency when the police got there the people in the house seemed confused and upset the officers wanted to calm things down so they asked politely about what had happened before they arrived they found out that the mother who had just come back from school so police started talking about the driving problem you want to go talk to them for a [Music] [Applause] [Music] second hey what's going on oh not too much he just uh I my wife came back from school and and from the school and I came back shortly after and then I know she gets migraines and all that during the day I know she went back up to bed and uh and then the officer here came to the door that's basically it yeah you do want I have a seat right here you do carry on your way over yeah I can't believe this I can't believe this is happening to me for a second yeah can you can I know I just showed up can you can I talk to over here oh my God I can't bre this can I talk to over here oh is this all about like some traffic oh no it was just they said at the school or something that she Dr up her or something and something like so I don't know I came back afterward yeah so the I guess uh we got a call from the school about uh driving r i don't don't fine the mother started acting more and more strangely and argued with the police because she couldn't understand why they were there the officers stayed calm and tried to explain that they were there because the schol was worried about how she drove but even though they tried to make her feel better the mother got even more upset and things got even more complicated because of the argument no I can't talk to you over there I can't believe it's happening to me I just nothing answered you in life but after me hold on I just showed up I have no idea what's going on can you tell me what happened I literally have no idea why are you so upset I'm upset have no idea oh my God I see you as the talk went on it became clear that the mother couldn't stay calm she kept going back and forth between saying no not understanding and being really angry she didn't want the officers there and thought they were up to something bad I have no idea what's going on literally no idea you NOA what's going on little I wish I was your life I'm just trying to talk to you like a normal human being oneon-one there's no stupid lock my God I don't know why you're so upset I really have generally have no ideaa what what's happened I don't know either what happened even though the officers tried to talk sense the mother said she was picking on her for no reason and started talking about her Irish background in a way that didn't make much sense are you a child you're acting like a child are you a child I did nothing to you you just push me Oh I pushed you because get off my back well we are you a child no are you why are you acting like a child no I'm Irish I'm Irish too you are not Irish because you were Irish this wouldn't happen to some an Irish person your finger on my face oh you're American aren't you yes you're not Irish but you're not Irish so don't come up to me p with your little green shirt and don't come up to me St Patrick say then her husband came and he was asked about what happened she said everything was okay and closed the door fast ignoring the school person's concerns but then the police were called because the way things were happening seemed worrying the husband didn't want them to come in but he finally agreed mom came pick up the guard today she drove up all the way onto the curb when they picked up their daughter she refused to roll her window down to talk to them they wouldn't say what was wrong the school representative followed her home as soon as she got in the garage the husband said she's fine they closed the door okay I come here to do a well-being check he's like not wanting to go get her he's saying she's sleeping he's not going I made him go get her she's stumbling down the stairs smells like toothpaste she admitted to going to pick up her daughter now she's all over the place yelling at us okay so okay what does the school ultimately want done do they not want her to come pick up anymore I don't entirely know what they want to do they just wanted us to come check on her when she came downstairs it was clear she had been drinking even though she was confused and upset she admitted to driving her daughter home then suddenly she started shouting at the police and couldn't understand why they were there good F by me home okay so why are you in my house then figure out what happened no we're P that did you just push my officer she did oh my God put your hands your back put your hands behind your I told you you can't put your hands on me I'm I'm not relax relax put your hand behind your back [ __ ] kidding me I'm not kidding you stop can you can you push your hand back [Applause] father oh my God you can we get her I know again stop st P me to me what is your problem talk you f right here yeah I'll take her are you are if this case made you strange driving because they were worried about her and her child's safety but the mother couldn't understand what was happening then things got worse when she tried to push one of the senior officers so the police had to take her to their station the whole time she kept saying she didn't do anything wrong the police talked to the husband to figure out what had happened he said it wasn't unusual for her to sleep when she had migraines and sometimes she would even pass out for a while but her being so aggressive that night was really unusual he didn't know about any mental health problems like bipolar disorder but he said she had been to the doctor for different things before does she have any mental health issues H I don't know when she gets these migraines she goes cuz I mean she was pretty uh she was pretty like riled up I pictur the fact maybe just let go my hands let go my pants you understand you're under arrest right now under arrest for what for what what did I do you push me I push you I push you oh I'm under rest for pushing you look all my hands I kill you you the police asked the woman to get out of the car but she wouldn't this made the officers even more worried she was already in trouble for hitting someone which she said she didn't do her husband said she sometimes had a glass of wine in the evening but he couldn't think of anything that would make her act like this didn't die I swear to God [Music] all right let's get out of the car I'm not getting out of the car you have to get out of the car I'm not getting out of the car come on car I'm not getting out the car because I don't know what's happening out of the car you have to get out of the car I'm not getting out of the car what is your first name I'm trying to talk to you like a human one-onone trying to talk to like a human can you step out so I can talk to you I can you're aine I'm [ __ ] out damn you need to start listening okay oh you need to say what you need to say as things kept going the woman got more stubborn she started calling the officer's mean name saying they were lying and being mean but at the same time she kept saying she didn't do anything wrong she was really confused when they accused her of hitting someone because she didn't think she had touched anyone she argued with them more and more as they insisted she did hit someone you're a liar who did I B who did I call you you fre me who did I B her and you did I B her you you when you battery I didn't B that are we getting out are you getting out of the car hold on did I B him did I B him tell me did I B him I can you you hey you're nothing but a all right let's just you can take your focus off of him my I did not batter him bed me I never tou oh I battered you okay during the whole thing her behavior went up and down a lot sometimes she was confused sometimes angry and sometimes she just couldn't believe what was happening she kept asking herself if she really did what they said she did she just kept saying they were wrong and she didn't do anything it was clear that they couldn't talk to each other anymore then you're going to be dragged out of I'm too scared you're going to be I'm too scared to get out of the cam because you're you're you're I okay I'm not getting out the C on camera I'm not getting out the car okay listen I'm not going C it's all done it's all done you have to it doesn't matter that's said I B him he I'll tell you what if if I sent him that way I never even looked at him listen listen if he goes over there and you deal with her and me will you get out of the car no what about me what about i b about said I B did I back did I back you tell me the truth even though she was being defiant she kept asking why they said she hit a police officer because she didn't remember doing that she said mean things to the officers like they had nothing else to do with their lives she kept saying she wasn't drunk and making fun of how they were trying to handle things the officers tried to stay calm and explain how serious it was like driving badly but she just wouldn't listen so you're so drunk I don't even know what you're saying oh I'm not drunk you I'm not drunk but you have nothing to do in your life dear nothing you want to you want to turn on me don't you I don't want to turn on you I I didn't want to arrest you you want to be like this like like high cop we didn't want to arrest you we you didn't want to arrest me but you took me here you want to arrest me you arrested me didn't you you arrested me made your decisions today I didn't make my decision you drove on a sidewalk I did not drive on any sidewalk that is a lie that is a lie that is a lie that is a lie as they kept talking the officers gave her a choice she could either get out of the car by herself or they would have to take more legal action she didn't trust them and wanted to make sure certain officers wouldn't be around her finally a female officer convinced her to get out of the car by promising to take off the handcuffs and talk about things more comfortably inside we don't even don't don't even we're not we're not going to kill her stand right here okay name's Carol hi Carol I'm Sergeant Shuster okay I'm going to be in charge of what's going on here in the lock up all right I don't want to see that well going be here for the moment are that hor okay me you okay yeah okay just for nothing on you yeah iugs of my life like I'm called in here like a mom are you not like embarrassed I I I don't know what happened yet you're not embarrassed no I don't know what happened yet okay so um um what do I what have I done I don't know yet is what I want to know okay I know but I want to know what have I done I'm I I'm kind of mad oh trust me I know you know what TR you're right you're right right so let me help you get out of here you're right don't even don't even bother with her what have I done when Carol got to the police station she met Sergeant Schuster who would take care of her case even though she realized she was arrested Carol couldn't believe it she asked the officers about the charges against her unfortunately Carol was accused of several serious things not cooperating with the arrest hurting a police officer badly driving dangerously and putting a child's life in danger during everything that happened she kept fighting back and didn't realize how serious it was and how it could affect not just her but also her family and other people involved that's our look at this incident it's clear that the incident involving Carol not only
