you want animal control to take them I need going to die yeah no not man today we're discussing some cases of when cops became the unlikely saviors of dogs rescuing them from Evil hands and giving them a chance at a new life let's find out what happens on a really hot day in Las Vegas something had happened in the parking lot of a Walmart on South for a par Road it was July 22 2021 when a worker noticed something wrong three dogs were stuck in a car that was getting hotter and hotter when the police came they saw inside the car three dogs struggling because it was too hot there were two pugs one was 13 years old and the other was 10 years old trying hard to breathe there was also a 4-year-old German Shepherd who looked very sick handun of I have water but it's not really cold do you have water with you marijuana control 323 can you make sure the units responding to the Walmart 428 looks like it's in progress and8 their owner yania who was 62 years old had left them in the car while she went shopping she didn't realize how much pain her pets were in the oldest pug was having a hard time standing up and it was breathing fast and shallow which meant it was very sick from being too hot hey ma'am do you have a is there a husband with you right now no your by yourself stand your car it's okay even though it was urgent when yenia came back she wanted to take her pets home instead of getting them the medical help they needed the police knew how serious it was so they said the dogs needed to see a vet right away especially the German Shepherd who was very sick hey sge does she want do you want animal controller he has to get to a vet like now do you want animal control to take them I need does have choice I don't think she he's going to die yeah no no no ma' ma' you're not allowed over there you're not allowed over there will you take him to a yeah he to hot he too hot well yeah cuz you put him in a situation that you got too hot yes I agree I no see she'll go home I want to see what so she's saying that 100% with this hug if he doesn't get to a vet like right now it's going to die so can you guys take him cuz she said she just wants to go home with him yeah I can't go home please yeah I go home so as yeah if you want I can take the the dog for that yeah he we have a GV v as yania argued with the police it was clear that the dog's health was at risk the police decided to take the dogs to a vet clinic quickly focusing on saving them Above All Else sadly it was too late for the oldest pug it had seizures because of the Heat and couldn't survive after the dogs got help the case didn't finish yania got into trouble with the law she was arrested and accused of cruy hurting the animals on purpose she could have gone to jail for up to 12 years and had to pay $15,000 in fines from the hot parking lot in Las Vegas to another rescue let's see how cops become Heroes Again by Saving another dog in trouble in Sarasota Florida on May 11 2021 the temperature was a Hopping 115 fahit a pit Bulldog is stuck in a metal box like a car with no air conditioning the windows were closed and it was like an oven inside when the police got a call for help they rushed to where the dog was trapped they were worried about the dog because it looked uncomfortable panting heavily and drooling you look okay he looks a little angry yeah I would be to hi hi we T the okay I'm going to get your name in just a second [Music] [Music] okay haven't said something before but they had a problem they couldn't find the owner of the car and they were worried about the dog's breed pit bulls can be strong and might run away if they get scared breaking the window seemed risky the police officer at the scene was worried he saw it's a pitbull if he breaks the window he jumps out and starts attacking people everyone was tense and the dog's life was in danger I did it's not coming back to anybody that's why I couldn't give you a name oh wow of the resident so I mean how many people do you think you have living here or staying here right now got more than 20 I've already called the F and nobody can't we just break the window we can I don't want to do that just yet I I can do it that's not a problem what I'd like to do is try and find this owner but that dog is also a pit so if I break the window and it jumps out and starts attacking people take responsibility I'll take the everything the reason listen the reason I'm concerned is it's a pitbull and if the dog jumps out and starts attacking people we have animal services Animal Services is already coming about 20 minutes out Animal Services already coming the dog is still pting just right I'm trying to look I I got you I got you I'm trying to do what's best for for the dog and us right let me keep calling please please keep calling when animal services got there they looked at everything and decided that breaking the window was the best way to help the dog right away they thought about it carefully and picked a window that was farthest from the dog to be safe breaking the window let fresh air in and gave the poor pit bull some relief hi water yet huh ran the tags not coming back to anybody they're inside actually trying to get a hold of whoever doors are locked doors are locked the dog is panting and drooling all over the place but it's a pit pool so I didn't want to break it before you got here oh my God he's starting to go down yeah that's not good starting to go down so you want to get something that we can cuz I don't know if he's going to attack or not so yeah I tried the door enter and they tried and they don't know whose car this is they don't know whose car it is it's not coming back to anybody so I think we should break it at least get some air flow through there yeah to open the back window back window maybe do we have umz he's he's going down which is not good he's you know you ready yeah are you going to break it yeah so I mean he's on that side right now let's break this side you need a towel to break with or no just break it like that okay buddy yeah he's droing yeah well I mean breathing so can I take home uh they will probably have to take him first yeah I don't [Music] have come on buddy come on okay let me get man smell there the rescue was careful and the people helping were gentle because they didn't want to scare the dog even more the Pitbull seemed confused but thankful as they helped out of the car it had some small injuries from the broken glass but it was strong luckily they acted fast and the dog was saved from what could have been a really sad ending I don't want to come on buddy that water I gave you yeah just hold on a second I can only do one thing I know I'm sorry we're just Bo looks like she's bleeding now oh yeah I didn't know she might Ste on the glass so there's a little bit of blood I don't know if you want to check the feet once you get to wherever you're going that's a good boy it's the only cold water I have I have water the owner came back while the rescue was happening he explained what happened he rented the car and left the the air conditioning on for the dog but he didn't know that he turned it off when he walked away with the key fob he didn't mean for this to happen but it could have been really bad for his dog Animal Services gave him two tickets but they let him take his dog back home as we finished talking about these rescues and acts of kindness we remember how much police officers do to keep our animal friends safe we hope these cases make you want to be kind and speak up for animals who can't talk for themselves if you have cases like this share them in the comments thanks for watching stay safe and informed
