The owner of the dealership stepped in and said Nailin worked in the business department. So what's your title? I'm the owner. Okay. What's her title here? She's a BDC. She works in the business. But Nailin kept talking about being a law student and wanting to call her lawyer. Another officer, Officer Barnett, came later. Oh, you're not leaving. I am. I am. Moving on from Nailin Tierra Let's talk about another horrifying story of Alex Barrett who worked at Amazon was caught stealing. He was caught taking products out of their factory, sealed packaging and hiding the empty boxes. He admitted to stealing three boxes of Apple AirPods pros. Uh, Apple AIr Watch. That was missing. OK, we were investigating it and being responsible for it. So what he did was he reached inside a Pod, took the item out, rip the package open, conceals it in his pocket. I see. He even had one of the stolen items at his workstation during the course of the interview, he's admitted to taking 3 boxes of Apple AirPods pros. In addition to what we have he's providing a voluntary statement. He does have one of the items on him now at his workstations. I can actually get a manager to bring his backpack down and everything so we'll recover those items today or at least one item that he does have on him. The security team at Amazon's West Mesa facility explained to the deputies how Barrett, a picker at Amazon, was responsible for moving items from large containers into bins for shipping. Who knows what he has on him? Oh, he already told me he has other stuff upstairs because we did a 30 minutes video, something to that clame, but you'll have another associate come over and he says or he has pocket and then they'll do a hand-to-hand deal. So, I mean, there could be drugs involved This is the Apple Watch. Yeah, this is the Apple Watch, right? So i I think he definitely opened that package. But he didn't I didn't know if he took anything out of it. IT takes it him a secound as it gets towoards the end of the video Here is when you can see. He will reach back in there. He takes a while working that package yeah. So he's back at it now. It looks like he's working at some more I think this has been pretty really good personally. Maybe right there. Right there. That's the concealment. Yeah. There's told me today They caught him on video, opening a package and taking a while to hide an Apple Watch and some beats earbuds. When the police talk to him at Amazon, he first said he didn't know about the thefts but then admitted to taking a few earphones and selling them. I don't know that. I absolutely don't know that because like I said, I don't know what's going on Okay. They are said I taken some products since investagition went on. They wanted me to confess. what I've taken. Okay. And i told them, the things that I've taken. What was it? Some earburds pro. Okay. Like the wireless one how many how many items. Four Okay, where they all this same item or different? Okay is like... were you going to like resell them or ? Okay The one thing I'll be honest with you I do really need to know is what when did it was it yesterday or it was today? month ago Oh, months ago. Yeah. Okay The police let him go thinking he would show up in court later. What will happen is I'll gather information from them we'll probably see you out of here. You'll be released and you'll get some you'll get some paperwork in the mail to appear for it later on. That's a best case scenario. If what you're telling me is true, I want to take you at your word because I think you're I think you're telling me the truth, then that that's what would happen if they tell me like, no, he took something today, like recently that would change me. I would have to take you into custody. But Barrett, 34 years old, didn't turn himself in. And now there's a warrant for his arrest for stealing from his job. If you're finding these stories interesting, don't forget to hit that like button. Share with your friends and subscribe for more An Amazon delivery man was caught driving dangerously, even driving up onto the sidewalk. OK, yeah. He just ran up on the curb. I'm gonna stop him. The police pulled him over and questioned him and found out that he was confused and said he was depressed all day. How are you doing today? Yeah, you're just okay here. What's going on today? i am actully running late. You're what I got you. You got a driver's license on you? what time you start working today? 10, 10 this morning? Yeah. You know what time it is now? it’s half 30. do you got anything to drink today? No. giving medical conditions or anything Depression. The officer asked him to recite the alphabet from E to W. You know, can you say the alphabet? Starting with E and ending with W? [Police Wireless] but he couldn't do the simple alphabet. Test the police asked him to do. They made him get out of the van and do some tests to see if he was drunk. Do me a favor, why don’t you hop on out here real quick. Allright? You set your stuff down there Sir, you can come back this way. just gonna go back a little, i mean. you don't have anything in your pockets or no nothing, No razor blades, no nothing like that? No, just.. OK, all right. Do you see yourself driving up on the curb, You noticed that at all? Yeah, I screwed up. Well, what was going on? I just wasn't paying attention. I mean, it was all down the road, though. You kind of, you hit the curb a couple of times, didn't you? Yeah, I was. I was done with my routing. I just screwed up. Yeah. The driver was asked to follow the officer's finger with his eyes and then perform a balance test, but he couldn't pass these tests. All right, do me a favor. Take your hat off for me real quick mate. you see, tip my finger here. Ahan Just follow the tip of my finger with your eyes, OK? Don't move your head. Just your eyes. All right. Don't move your head. Keep your head i’m sorry that's all right. All right. Next thing I'm going to have you do, if you just take a couple of steps back, they're kind of towards your bumper or whatever. You can put your hat back on. If you want all right? What I'm going to have you do is you're going to take one foot, whichever one you're most comfortable with, you're going to pick your foot up, one foot up, whichever one you choose, point your toe. You're going to look down at your foot and count to 30 by thousands. OK, do you understand that there's hands out your pockets, hands down to your side, and then one foot, whichever one you're most comfortable with, count to 30 by 1000. You can begin whenever you're ready 1, 1 thousand 2, one thousand 3 one thousand 31 thousand. Ahh. Keep going. Keep going. You have to, yeah... 3, 1 thousand 6, 1 thousand 7, 1 thousand The officer arrested him for driving under the influence OK, do me a favor. We're going to place your hands right behind your back. All right? I'm going to place you under arrest for driving under the influence, OK? Is there alcohol in the car or No. what happened today? You just have a couple. For one, you're working or all right. Have a seat right here. When the police looked in his van, they found alcohol I know, I think I bet there's going to be booze. Yep, here it is. All right. I'm going to get him out of here. At the police station, they found out he had drunk a lot. The driver named Sersig was released on bail and pleaded not guilty at his first court appearance. The case is still ongoing. Now discuss another unexpected story of Kallie Lewis Kallie Lewis was arrested for stealing from the hardware store where she worked in Arkansas's. She and another person, Nicholas Preston, were accused of planning to steal over $1,000 worth of items. Lewis, working as a cashier, helped a man steal by not scanning items and taking off security tags. From what he's saying, basically a male accomplice of hers, their male acquaintance, actually came up with a card to her register. She removed the security tags and didn't ring up that merchandise whatsoever. And you said it's over $1,000. Yeah, just the one items. $600 got you. And and then that night she got in a vehicle. A white Pickup. White pickup with? with the sides and a line on the top. And then the next day when he walked out with the stuff and went out They are same couples. Okay. now you have footage of all of that, correct? Yeah, he would. Yeah, he would he's going to take information and everything There he is, He is the manager, he could tell even more. I've been with her for 20 minutes. she refuses to give me this guy's name or anything Yeah. She clearly let’s him walk with all this merchandise twice. Okay. and the first time she even takes this charge, take a security device and stuff off of the formula, walk out the door and we have an assistant manager should be in here later and says she got in that truck the night before when she left Alright, yeah Okay I've got her writing this She refuses to admit to anything. So I've got her obviously writing down a statement of what she said have. Okay, okay Well, my partner, he's talking to a detective and see what our next step is going to be, the total stolen goods were worth more than $11,000. The police were informed that Lewis had been seen getting into a white pickup truck with a male accomplice. While you guys are talking to her in there and I'm looking at the video, I can scrounge up all the item numbers and get you total of it. Yeah, yeah yeah We're gonna need a total. I don't mind. She says her mother's in jail, so she's probably seeing the process. Okay. So Kallia Since you are known mistake, So here are the officers. Would you like to take a look at them, maybe ask you a few questions or just to try to get the rest of this the store manager showed the police videos of Lewis letting the man walk out with the stolen items. Despite Lewis not admitting to the theft, The police collected evidence, including the videos and the statement from her. When the police talked to Lewis, she didn't cooperate much. They told her she might not be allowed back in the store and explained her legal rights. They found out that items worth about $90 was stolen on Friday and about $977 on Saturday, this is the total on Saturday that we could identify. There was another item on there that we couldn't figure out and there's the picture, the Saturday one. I got the pictures on the screen and the Friday one right now, i’ll go get you that total, Okay. Okay, so this one was Saturday. This is $977 Yeah do we know that apparently Friday that the small items were purchased? [Police Wireless] Okay, but those are the ones you purchased, right? This is what was purchased [Police Wireless] All right. Yeah. All right Miss Kellie um, what's your birthday? 1990. I'm pretty sure they are talk about what's going on. So we just want to know some things, and then we'll see what we are going to do afterward, All right? So just hang on tight, and we'll let you know. All right. Kelly Lewis was then arrested for theft and taken to speak with a detective. Stand up, spin around. Put your hands behind back for me. You're going to be placed under arrest for sufficient theft of property. Okay, We’re gonna go talk to Detective Hudson, which at that time he's going to read you your Miranda rights. I'm not asking you questions or anything of that nature because that would infringe on your rights. I'm not going to do that. Okay, Can i just leave it here because, I’m gonna be walking? No, because you aren’t allowed back in the store. Yeah just go ahead and take it. Where’s the lockers at? How long will i be staying in jail? Right now, You're going to go talk to a detective and that's going to determine what's what's going to happen. At the police station. Lewis wanted to tell the truth, but the officers told her to wait and talk to the detective. They also said they would find someone to look after her child. Can i just be honest with you? I would rather you say that for a detective, because that's going to be a statement and I don't want to violate your rights. So save that real quick. once I get to the precinct, I will call your friend or anybody i can get to take care of you, Okay? Sound good? the case against Lewis. And Preston is still going on. They are charged with planning to steal more than $1,000 worth of items from the store. That wraps up our investigation through some truly shocking stories. It's a reminder of the unexpected turns a life can take. What are your thoughts on these cases? Share your opinions in the comments sections.
