taking my phone away on August 15th 2020 in the town of Kella an ordinary traffic stop turned into a scene officer Blake shamanic of the Kell Police Department pulled over Dillion Point day for making a wide right turn a minor infraction that would usually warrant a simple warning however what should have been a routine procedure spiraled out of control when dillian decided to slightly roll up his car window uh-uh 320 go and send me a unit when you got available hey roll your window back down what's up name is Sergeant Shan at K Police Department the re being stopped today you made a wide right turn he turned from 729 to 377 any reason why you rolling your window up when I walk up to this car no sir you had you been driving it down for the past mile I just rolled it up all right step out of the car for me step out do not shut that window open it now step out right here face that direction face that direction put your hands right here behind your back don't move do you understand why you acting so suspicious I'm SC well what you were on your window up when I'm walking up on scene for a routine tra stop ain't nothing going on you roll your window up what does that look like to me I mean I'm just roll it up cuz I it's my for my safety for your safety yeah unsatisfied shamanic ordered him out of the car the tension escalated as dillian tried to explain meanwhile dillian's father Marco arrived on the scene concerned for his son he started recording the interaction a lawful act meant to ensure transparency nothing I rolled up my window take off that's my dad sir yeah I rolled I rolled up my window 320 give me unit code now and he got mad cuz I rolled up my window step right here I rolled it up back up step right your feet well that's what happened huh yeah you're about to be arrested for blocking the roadway if you don't park and get out I R Park and get out I park over there said I can it's my right you are interfering with my job you need to go park over there I'm just you I rolled up my window like you said it was my right through out my window no it's not this further agitated shamanic who then turned his accusations to award Marco detaining him for supposedly blocking the roadway and interfering with police duties you have any weapons on you no [Music] sir all right is your ID in your wallet yes sir why on Earth are you acting like this I just nervous man look it a routine traffic stop all right I've never met you before yes I know and then the first thing you do is you roll up your window like that okay I thought it was allowed so we can roll up my window and hand out my license how do you think it would look to me if you're rolling up your window when you walk up I guess suspicious a little bit suspicious so it's even more suspicious right you've been cruising it's a hot day you've been cruising right you window down yes sir and the first thing I do when I walk up is you roll your window up yes sir then I say step out of the car and then you proceed to roll your up all the way and I can I can no longer see you I can roll my window and and shut the door and lock it that's what I was told my dad by the the law the government okay when you're doing that you're taking away I can't see anything apart from the fact it's it's it's rude I I it's rude is it not I'm trying to have a conversation with you you R up the window and I'm trying to do my job the situation grew chaotic with more officers arriving and now you're taking wait just watch him what stand here yep ready yet arrest him what we're blocking the roadway blocking the roadway yep man for what sit down right here sit down right here sit down I'm not block sit sit down despite the initial stop being for a traffic violation shamanic began to suggest other motives hinting at potential illegal activities without any evidence you stopped right here in the middle of the roadway you got this on video this guy's arresting me for just standing here and now he's you get V BR grab my phone would you I got it no sir that's evidence do not touch that as neighbors's gathered drawn by the commotion and beginning to film one announced her intention to contact the news in this car ma'am do I have to give you permission to get in this car no ma'am no I'm get car turn know why with a wide turn because he's being placed under arrest he's being placed under arrest yes for what for well he's an adult you have to call the jail and to get that information from him are you kidding me you won't even tell me why you're arresting him for I cannot legally tell you ma'am that's just mother oh my this is a can I him before he no ma'am but if there's a message you'd like us to pass along we can do that for you what are you getting this for again to search a vehicle nope okay no you're not allowed to people with no evidence found in dillian's car or his father's vehicle which shaman had also declared part of the crime scene the officer's situation worsened initially shamanic faced a demotion from Sergeant to patrol officer so kids act as nervous as can be I said blade step out of the car he proceeds to roll out the car and I thought he was going to drive off on me hold the door open step he steps out no issue I had to go to detain him dad is cruising that road stops the Middle Road I said leave you leave you leave he's feeding son no this his neighbor he lives over here he's feeding uh son telling him what to do and I said okay and I said no no sir you leave said sir if you don't if you don't leave I said you're going to be detained for uh for blocking the roadway here and so then he proceeds to back up all the way Parks over there and he he walks up into my scene multiple times I said you're done you're underr want to take him into custody for the track violation interference and uh he resisted so he got sprayed taken to the ground he came out down the down there he's videoing us what was the charge on the husand uh traffic and interference so I mean he literally stopped in the road nowhere not no curve line or nothing starts videoing starts yelling I can't even talked to the sun and the sun was already acting so suspicious on me and uh so I'm pulling the Sun out in the in the process of handcuffing the sun when he's parked in right behind me and I said you need to leave you need to leave you need to leave and he wouldn't so you're being stopped from the trap stop wide right turn that's all that is all right any reason you are acting this suspicious about what is in the car today or what is on you there's nothing on me do you understand why that's extremely suspicious and concerning to me I thought it was my right to roll my window you can roll the window up sure yeah I was going to crack it so okay that's what I was trying to do and then you got mad try to pull your gun on at me I did I pull my gun on my holster no but you you put your hand on it I walk up to every TR off with my hand on my holster right so if I if would you have any issues me searching your vehicle today no but I don't want you to it's my right you correct it is your right it is your right but if I walk back up to that car without searching it and if I slow marijuana that's not going to be good for you do you understand that sir okay kid right now is only detained to sit in the back of my car we've had a very lengthy conversation he's been reasonable I'm quite certain there's narcotics in the car so I think I'm going to arrest him for the wide right turn he's got history narcotics he's he was telling me give me all sorts of Clues so I think I'm going arrest him for the wide right turn but before we go any further the some of the neighborhood had come out was already outside they approached us in the middle of the uh affecting the arrest and the use of force they were videoing this there's one gentleman over here white male weing a I think it's a white uh t-shirt or white long sleeve shirt he's already making claims about wanting to call the news and he was videoing everything and I think the female that arrived on scene I haven't talked to her but I believe that is since I'm I'm about to I'm going go notify him officially he's in custody and I'm going to begin the search inventory of his vehicle the father's vehicle is the single cab older model F-150 so he had left the vehicle when the incident well he left the vehicle whenever he was taking a custody on the sidewalk over here but it is part of the crime scene so now that he's in custody I believe we need to take care take that vehicle as well correct it's it's it's it's behind this one it's it's parked on the next street car it's parked in front of a driveway but it's parked in front of the driveway the gentleman that is videoing us claim they to call the news for dillian and Marco the aftermath was a mix of relief and Vindication the charges against them were dropped Their fines were refunded and they received a settlement of $200,000 from the city for the ordal they endured now discuss a really interesting case of someone who is being punished by our legal system on December 24th 2022 in santosa County a traffic stop unfolded that was far from ordinary the sheriff's deputies stopped a car driven by 24-year-old Alexis Porter because it was swerving all over the road the deputies suspected that Alexis had been drinking because she was slurring her words and her eyes looked blurry would you stop weaving how's it going man shut the vehicle off for me deputy's always the Sheriff's Office all right the reason you're getting stopped is you're all over the road got a call about you about reckless driving all right what's going on tonight sorry I got to get home all right how much have you had to drink tonight not a lot not a lot all right when the officer spoke to Alexis she admitted she was coming from a friend's house and was trying to get home and you have a license on you yeah all right where are you coming from my friend's house your friend's house where's your friend live at on uh Vicky Street Vicki Street yeah all right all right you know where you you live at yeah I live off of of uh I live off of Stewart Street Stewart Street you do you know where you're at right now yeah I know I'm at G you know what street you're on yeah what street Stewart Street you're not on St Street all insurance again what I ask for insurance your what my insurance okay and where's that at it's right here despite her claim of not drinking much her behavior suggested otherwise the deputies decided to consequently she was arrested for driving Under the Influence when you start the test do not stop all right it's going to be a continued motion all the way down those series of small turns and all the right don't look at me Alexis was taken to the county jail for processing wa oh my god did you know how purpose I'm sliding all over oh if you sit back in the seat and stop crying so sit back all the okay I'm not you're not worried about I'm falling I'm very worried about it no you're not very very very concerned about your safety not worried about my right there in front her attempts to avoid arrest through seduction and bribery were unsuccessful and she faced serious legal consequences for her actions on Christmas Eve in mid 2022 an ordinary day turned tense in Ohio when two teenagers were spotted by police while selling water on the streets the officers believed the teens were obstructing official business setting the stage for a dramatic confrontation you're right oh now you got repeatedly told going nowhere no you going to jail for real what yes for obstruction obstruction yep for how long I don't know it's between you and the judge what 41 I told you guys multiple times step out of thead stop stop and listen God gave you two ears and one mouth so you need to use all right can I talk to you absolutely once I'm done explaining this I told told you multiple times stay out of the roadway as soon as I got out of the roadway to detain you to get your information which I'm allowed to do all right so look you did so I'm not I'm not done talking I'm not done talking so once I tried to get your information you continuously tried to remove your arms from my hands that is obstruction you are trying to cuz why is you touching me for it because I told you guys multiple times stay on the street you did I can't get a hold of you cuz you're right that's what said then I hop out on you now all of a sudden not going the street I was in a corner the whole you guys got a replica in the bag three teens ended up handcuffed and thrown into patrol cars all without a clear understanding of why they were being detained the officer tried to justify his actions stating teens were arrested and charged with obstructing official business and resisting arrest yet details about the aftermath remain unclear as we finish our cases we see how quickly things can go wrong when
