police are here to help people but what happens when cops discover that the fellow cop is involved with miners I hate you mother I know these four incidents are full of surprises and hard to believe that's how much my life changed I just it's like my home became a prison our first incident is about cop facing the truth that one of their team member is a p Ralph shorty March 2019 the police received a report about a man taking a minor into a motel room they arrived at the motel and knocked on the door announcing themselves as from the police department and saying they needed to check if everyone was okay he it's more police department man we just need to check on your welfare make sure you're okay we're not going away I don't care if you're good we need to see you and check on you partner yeah he said we're good you're going to have to come out here and talk to us we're going to get the manager and come in so you got two options you come out here and talk to us and we'll handle it or we're coming in after several knocks the door opened and the minor stepped out the officers then focused on the man inside telling him to come out and show his hands you have a juvenile in your hotel room not have Okay open the door and we'll talk to you real quick when be done come out I'm right here I'm right here come out before you get me worried show me your hands okay Ralph was found in a motel room with a 17-year-old boy at 3:00 a.m. when the police arrived and asked what was happening Ralph said he was just trying to have a good time so what was going on over here tonight man we were just hanging out and talking about life and stuff the officers suspecting Ralph didn't fully grasp the seriousness of the situation took him back into the room for further questioning take a seat on what's going what's going on with you man trying to a good time yeah what's your name Ralph Ralph what the police clarified the boy's age emphasizing the inappropriateness of the situation I'm sorry guys you're kind of freaking out yeah that's what we do he's 17 what do you mean okay I didn't okay but you got a 17-year-old hanging out with sh Ralph now with his head down insisted he wasn't lying about the boy's age I'm telling you he's 17 like I wouldn't lie to you like what what sense what sense does it make me ly to but listen what whatever you're doing it's a bad idea the officers however were not interested in his explanations believing whatever he was doing was a bad idea after their initial encounter with Ralph the police thought they understood the situation but they were mistaken especially since they didn't know Ralph's truth true identity a few days later Ralph was brought in for questioning which revealed more about the case Ralph explained that he met the boy at a coffee shop he owned named Holy Ground Coffee well how did y' meet at the coffee shop I'm I'm pretty sure of that um what coffee shop myfee shop it's called Holy Ground Coffee okay on the night in question the boy had called Ralph saying he needed to leave his house and um that night that uh he called me um he said you just need to get out of his house um I'm assuming I have I mean I thought he had told me that he lived with some friends and um he had told me in the past that you know it was hard for him to get clean cuz he was always with his friends that that were you know living with him on the night in question he decided to take the teenager to a motel Ralph mentioned that they usually communicated by phone calls however he soon noticed the police had a different understanding of the situation they asked if the teenager had come to Ralph's house to play video games to which Ralph replied it happened just once you said he's come to your house several times to play video games I think just once come to your house once to play video games uh and then you guys met at the coffee shop a couple of times okay what if I said that he told you you guys met through a Craigslist ad the very first time and he posted in casual encounters okay Ralph was shocked when juvenile told them that they met through a Craigslist to add that he posted in casual encounters and received many responses but Ralph wanted him to mess around with his wife while he watched the teenager showed up to do that but he found out that her wife was pregnant how old is your youngest child 5 months okay so he's telling me that when he first met you through Craigslist that you that he had posted an ad in casual encounters and that he had a lot of responses for it but that you said that you wanted him to mess around with your wife while you watched he said that he showed up to do that or you guys got together and started talking about that he found out your wife was pregnant and then said that that didn't never happen because she was pregnant the teenager is now 17 years old and Ralph has a 5-month-old child Ralph denied meeting the teenager through a Craigslist ad but the detectives had more information he has a conversation that he says he had that he had with you using an app called kick you know what that is okay well um he there's a pretty lengthy conversation on his tablet that uh he says is with a guy that is you that he um that is online or the kick kick ID is Jamie Tilly um and you told officers that night that that's your what what your online he he called me Jamie mhm and I'm not sure why okay they found a conversation on the teenager's tablet with someone someone using the app KCK under the username Jamie Tilly Ralph admitted the teenager called him Jamie but he wasn't sure why the detectives had chats between the teenager and Jamie Tilly discussing money for spring break so we we've got a conversation between him and this Jamie Tilly about um he says I need money for spring break uh Jamie Tilly says I don't uh really have any legitimate things I need help with right now would you be interested in sexual stuff he says yes this goes on that happened I come get you blah blah blah although Ralph acknowledged being called Jamie it wasn't conclusive proof that he was Jamie Tilly however the detectives were prepared with more evidence including a conversation where Jamie Tilly talked about needing money for spring break indicating a deeper connection to the case this says K I'll be down the street couple houses in about 10 minutes or so he says okay um so I haven't so so I have let me know so I have an idea then that person says I35 about exit in for at Fourth Street and then it says I'm here well um we've got a witness pardon me we got a witness that sees him get in a white Grand Cherokee and they follow that white Grand Cherokee to the hotel super Royal first two fourth and Eastern they follow the white Grand Cherokee first to Fourth Eastern then enter Ralph's white Cherokee the person who said this was on I35 exiting at 4 Street when the teenager got into Ralph's car the female friend now a witness followed them to the motel until they were in their room then the teenager's father who then called the police the teenager had been approached by a female friend but he had refused to disclose his whereabouts the police now had all the proof they had to lock Ralph up but they still needed a confession from him I don't want to be here not giving you an opportunity to to set the straight set set it straight and tell the truth it doesn't sound like anything I say is going to help prosecutors revealed that Ralph blamed the teenager for attempting to ruin his life even though the teenager was unaware that Ralph was a Senator to no one's surprise Ralph resigned from his position 13 days after the incident on September 1827 and he was sentenced to 15 years in prison and 10 years of supervised release Robert strand on May 25th 2022 detective Robert strand was arrested because of a tip from the national Center for missing an exploited children he was found to have 100 materials of child sexual abuse the officers asked him to set his paperwork down and calmly instructed him to put his hands behind his back and relax for the arrest aiming to keep the situation discreet sir can I have you do me a favor set your paperwork on the tailgate right there go ahead and place your hands behind your back for me go ahead and relax your legs relax okay I want to get you into this vehicle quickly okay but I don't want you to take anything you don't need to have two months before this arrest a search warrant for Robert's internet history revealed he had downloaded over 90 images of minor girls including infants being sexually abused the officers informed Robert that the arrest warrant was for possession of child pornography and sexual exploitation of children you've been in place at arrest where we' be getting arrest warrant for you Swant out today for a possession of child pornography or possession of a sexual exploitation of a child of a of children possession statute okay the biggest thing for me is I do this for everybody I don't want a big scene made about anything so I'm going to be as discreet as possible cooperate with me we'll be fine um let's get this portion done and do what we got to do they emphasized their intention to handle the arrest discreetly and cooperatively at the time of the arrest the officers explained to Robert the reason for his arrest and his present transportation to a Meetup point where officers from another Police Department would take over the case Robert was charged Ed with possession of child pornography and all the charges on the warrant Robert was taken into custody a situation that would typically make anyone anxious however his response showed he was calm he asked the officers to let someone named Sher strand presumably a relative know about taking care of his dogs he requested a notepad to write down the information and checked if the handcuffs were comfortable he then provided sher's name and spelling for the officers and reiterated that she just needed to take care of the dog the officers assured him they would inform Sherry once the search at his home was completed yes sir pick up your dogs yes yeah let me uh let me get my I'll have own bring me a notepad out I'll get the information absolutely we'll do that are those cuups good for you yes sir okay all right sir go ahead and give me the name it's going to be Sher Sherry strand SD okay is there anything that she needs to know other than just take the dogs just take the dogs okay as soon as they're complet at the residence with the search warant I'll let her know and we'll get that handled for you robbert facing a potential 5 to 20e prison sentence for his felony crime appeared surprisingly calm about this Prospect instead he seemed more concerned about his dog's welfare during his arrest meanwhile other officers were executing a search warrant at his home to gather more information about the case Robert curious about the specifics of the evidence against him asked the officers where they found the incriminating material so I know you probably can't tell me who were were our was it yeah was telling in the delet section uh sir I don't see I'm not that guy okay um so I know there was nothing yeah I don't I don't deal with the forensics I'm unaware of how that operates I mean I have a very very small um IQ when it comes to that but I'm sure that uh speci Agent P will be able to answer some questions for you absolutely okay I wish I did but I do not you're fine so what happens from there uh they'll go ahead and finish processing all the scenes okay um we're going to turn you over to real Rancho Police Department for transport and detention okay and uh is it going to be this jail here or santti do you know sir I don't I I'm unaware of how yeah I'm unaware how re Rancho deals with these types of detentions I'm I I don't know um but I'm sure you know We'll advise them um of who you are okay and uh so that'll be taken into consideration of course I really wish you guys would didn't cuz Rio knows me just as well the that's what's yeah the badest we we've made it a policy we utilize New Mexico State Police or local jurisdictional officers to transport for us so um that's kind of how we run the process Robert confirmed the existence of child sexual abuse material on his phone and deleted it immediately after viewing it however in their search agents discovered a GIF of a girl between 6 and 10 years old being sexually abused by a man alongside photos of strand having sexual relations with a computer generated pre-teen mail after minutes of waiting for his transport Robert became increasingly anxious and began asking questions that had already been answered I don't know how much you can answer but was that found in the deleted section um I can't give you that right now it'll be listed in in the uh where it was found okay um in the in in in the arrest warrant yeah anything I knew about was okay all right that's why I was asking okay don't problem I didn't think I was being arrested for that all right okay yeah you're good okay so what what's next um what's next is uh R's coming they're going to transport you to their holding cell okay and then I'm going to finish out my warrant send it to my prosecutors prosecutors going to uh approve it and then I'm going to walk over here and get a judge to look to see if I can get a judge to sign the arrest warant once the arrest warant is signed out you'll be booked on that rest War all right anything other questions no no I I appreciate this okay thank you sir it is unclear whether the for 8 years years before his crimes were uncovered he was placed on administrative leave and charged with five counts of possession of child pornography after being released on a bail Robert was the balcony yeah she naked she's screaming yeah I think he's up there though Jeffrey Polo on June 10 2006 around 12:30 a.m. a woman called 911 to report a man peeking through her window when the police arrived they found their colleague Jeffrey beside the house Jeffrey was arrested and brought in for questioning the detective hoped for a reasonable explanation but Jeffrey's response left them disappointed when asked if he met with a police officer the previous night Jeffrey mentioned he was near a lake unable to sleep he explained he was considering buying a house in that area for his mother-in-law who is poor and on a fixed income he wanted her closer to them Jeffrey was checking out a town home for sale though it wasn't suitable he was mainly interested in the access to the lake he parked his car on a street he couldn't name near the lake but that's not exactly where he was found the lake he was talking about runs behind those houses the officer stated that he was in the vicinity at 1230 searching for a new home for his mother-in-law he asserted that he was merely returning to his vehicle when he was apprehended the detective found Jeff's statement implausible and inconsistent with typical police Behavior the detective questioned Jeff a cop with 17 years on the force about what he'd been up to he pointed out that police officers don't usually walk around houses at 12:30 a.m. Jeff again repeats the situation he insisted it made sense to him as he was checking Lake access even at that late hour the detective expressed disbelief suggesting it was a severe error in judgment for a cop to be between houses at that time Jeff defended himself saying again he was only walking from the lake to the road and denied doing anything wrong Jeff kept repeating his story to the detective you turned around and walked the other way okay I saw a figure stand stand I ah I just turned and walked back what okay what did he say to you then you would turned around and he was walk back what did he say to you then stop police and what else was he saying to stop police let me see your hands I don't Rec call everything he said I just said stop please I realize it so I turn around back I mean I if I realized at first he was he was he was just kept walking right towards you but my ini thought was it was someone that's it yeah you know it's not that's it not that's it despite his insistence the detective found it hard to believe and thought Jeff's actions that night were very suspicious the detective suspected Jeff had planned something sinister before he was caught the detective pointed out that Jeff was the only person near the scene where a woman reported someone lurking around her Windows the woman was described as very attractive Jeff denied prowling around her windows or anywhere else he explained that he walked between the houses to reach the road when he heard a dog barking Jeff maintained his story throughout the interrogation which lasted over an hour he was eventually allowed to leave the station but the authorities were not convinced by his explanation they could conducted an investigation that led to a shocking Discovery they found that Jeff had recently checked the license of the woman whose house was near the spot where he was arrested that night Found Records that our second victim had had her license plate run at a certain time and in place that just didn't make sense well the license plate had been run at that time by a incar computer that was logged in under Jeff pilo's login three years later all of a sudden Jeff P was found outside a woman's house at 1:00 in the morning trying to break in moreover the investigation revealed that Jeff had looked up two other women Christa Mills and Sarah comms girl these women had been violently raped at their homes by a man fitting Jeff's description the victim recounted her terrifying experience the attacker told her he was there to rob her and threaten to shoot her if she screamed she remembered him overpowering her in bed I was in shock absolute shock I looked at the door and saw the light there and something just didn't seem right he said that I'm only here to burglarize you I don't want to hurt you but if you scream if you make any noise I'll shoot you the next thing I remember is he was on top of me in the bed he actually taped all the way around my head so that I wouldn't be able to open my mouth at all tape over my eyes um so you couldn't see I couldn't see and then he took actually took the pillowcase off my pillow and put it over my head as well he seemed very assertive when he talked not like somebody who's you know panicking he seemed like he really knew what he was doing he taped her mouth shut covered her eyes with tape and put a pillowcase over her head so she couldn't see she described the experience as extremely scary the attacker had a gun to her head and a knife to her throat constantly threatening her physically he seemed to know everything about her from her sister's appearance to her husband's car her work schedule and where she worked out she noted his distinct bright blue eyes confident she could identify him by his eyes christe and Sarah were shown a photo lineup to identify the attacker during the investigation even though he wore a mask during the attacks they recognized Jeff as the rapist specifically noting his clear blue eyes as a distinct feature after a long court trial Jeff was found guilty of 35 charges including rape kidnapping and stalking he was sentenced to 440 years in prison he tells multiple 12 12-year-old girls do you have any younger friends who are interested in older men I'll give you money to hook me up with them the younger they are the better jayen Devon in April 2020 the police got a tip that officer jayen Devon was involved sexually with a minor Jaylen didn't know about this and went to work at the sheriff's jail they took him to an interrogation room where he found out about the accusation the detective started talking about jaylen's personal life to relax him jayen talked about his tough work schedule of seven long shifts followed by seven days off jayen shared his email and phone number with the detectives not knowing they would be important later he also talked about how he used these for Facebook Instagram and Snapchat and I know when it comes to um Facebook you connect it to an email address do you know what email address is connected to it and then your Instagram account with same email I I think so yeah okay and I know sometimes with Snapchat they'll have you either sign up with a phone number or an email I believe it's my phone number okay very cool jayen seemed nervous Crossing his arms and swaying in his chair he knew being in the interrogation room meant something serious the police were investigating a photo linked to jayen they got it from Crim Stoppers a program for anonymous tips about crimes jayen a 5-year police officer was asked about this photo he said he shared it with his wife and some girls on Snapchat a long time ago the detective asked if he talked to a young girl on Snapchat uh we did receive um picture you know when we looked into it it looks similar to you so I don't know if you can take a look at the picture and just tell me if you've seen this picture before I have like 15 million things here so this picture right here yeah that's definitely me I went to grma okay so um this picture right here how old were you when it was taken I don't know 20 20 have you ever used this picture on any social media site um I think it was Snapchat back in the day yeah have you ever shared this picture with anybody on Snapchat um yeah probably my wife to be honest um I mean obviously I talked to other girls back in the day too but I can't remember ahead um if you had to guesstimate how many times you may have shared the photo how many times that one maybe just a couple times once or twice okay so definitely to your wife yeah okay so youve used that photo for your wife and you're about 20 years old in the photo you did share it on Snapchat um and then maybe some other girls you were talking to I mean yeah this was a long time ago so I don't really remember who it was okay um have you ever posted it as like your profile photo or that one posted on Instagram oh I forgot to ask you are your accounts is your Instagram and your Facebook are they private they are okay and I know Snapchat is all private right I mean you have to add somebody yeah I believe I had that yeah you can't request a friend yeah you can't just be anyone so that one's at least a little bit better where it's like you have to actively search for somebody right Jaylen admitted talking to females including a recruit but only with friends and co-workers he denied recent chats there were also some conversations that were exchanged between you and this person me mhm okay I didn't talk to anybody younger though not on Snapchat no not recently not recently no now you said all of your social media accounts are private right yeah jayen trained to control his emotions gave short and precise answers and avoided eye contact the detectives were sure that he was hiding something they knew more about his life than he expected they asked if someone was pretending to be him detectives sometimes lie about evidence to get confessions jayen knew this and suggested an enemy might have used his information um so is there any reason why the person would say they're you they're you and share your information sounds like it'd be someone that knows me then obviously obiously um I don't know who I don't have any enemies that would be doing something like that he asked the detective for specific details the detective mentioned his baseball and work schedule which surprised jayen because he hadn't shared these details recently can I ask what information was shared what they what they know um well um we know that you're a baseball player yeah I mean a lot of people know that yeah so that information was kind of shared okay um your work schedule it's been 5 years now worked here specifically the transition to 7 Days on 7 days off really the detective talked about a username J 17821 MH linked to a Snapchat account named J this username had jaylen's details like his jersey numbers and graduation year Jaylen denied knowing this account this Snapchat account was linked to jaylen's email and phone and had his details this account was used to contact a minor after more questions jayen asked for a lawyer the case involved four victims aged 12 to 14 and prosecutors said there might be more than 41 victims jayen pleaded guilty to his crimes and that's all for today's incidents when
