[Applause]
[Applause]
I think I was trying to pass your truck
[Music]
so she's not really sure what happened
let me just I'm sure you want to call
you guys that process right now but
let's just call the police I took
pictures which is our protocol okay but
now you guys will take over so she
didn't want to involve the police At
first she was like well why you gotta
call the police officer because there's
damage to her Lexus I was like
maybe you you know okay you think you
hit something and what's your driver
right now uh okay
thank you guys
all right we'll have cameras on our
trucks okay good because they have to be
downloaded from the office all right
how you doing good good evening which
truck was involved
that's the truck who is the operator for
the driver
[Laughter]
all right just so everybody knows my
body One camera is activated okay all
right what happened can I miss
um so I live on
out of the buff fioris and I was looking
for a parking spot in the
garbage truck was there and I was
passing by and flipped the side of the
garden all right where was the check
exactly when when the accident happened
it was a great place
zero two
a truck was there and I pulled around
did I hit them or I don't know
the garbage truck stop
I think it was
okay all right you have the uh documents
for the vehicle your license
registration insurance card
so what he was telling me was that he
was um parked like a block away by the
liquor store and um they were they
weren't on the truck they were on the
side right and they heard the boom so
when they went to check the truck she
was gone so when they left that area and
they came around here I guess she came
back around and she told them no couch
[Applause]
okay
[Applause]
[Applause]
there's nobody in the truck when it
happened no if you were standing outside
they were standing outside they heard
the boom and then they walked over to
see what was the boom yeah of course she
already had took off
Okay so
Susan where were you coming from this
evening
um so
I had dinner with my girlfriend at
um
because the
oh my God
oh antique Bakery okay okay
how long ago was that you just left
there or no no we we left it we walked
around we got a slice of pizza because
we didn't really eat much there right
um did you have any alcoholic beverage
excuse me I did I had a glass of wine
okay because I noticed it so what we're
gonna have happen here is we're gonna
have another officer come down here okay
they're gonna run a couple exams on you
a couple field tests okay if you can get
through the test you'll be on your way
okay but they'll have to come down and
they'll run out run the few tests okay
all right
so if you want you can hang tight in the
car they'll be down shortly all right
what do you guys have so
that guy that will park a block away by
the liquor store they weren't like on
the truck they were
they heard a loud boom so when they go
when they went to go check the truck she
already had to call so they left that um
area and they came over here and then
she I guess came back around and
approached them saying hey you guys hit
my car
foreign
[Applause]
[Applause]
[Applause]
keep your light out because I'm gonna
utilize this line right here
um so just so I could see better what's
uh seven what's her name Susan
Susan my name is Officer Arroyo just
letting you know my camera is rolling
um
what's your full name Suzanne
okay
um do you wear contacts or glasses by
any chance okay would you
um do you have any medical conditions or
uh you take medications at this time
antibiotics for okay what kind of
antibiotics are you on um amoxicillin
okay
um
and you said you were drinking tonight
correct I yeah okay so but you wouldn't
be able to um nothing will stop you from
performing a series of tests correct
correct okay can you please uh stand by
this line please and face me
yeah like
that it doesn't bother her
[Applause]
again you don't wear any contacts or uh
glasses correct okay can you see the tip
of this uh pen what color is it well
okay so you're gonna keep your head
straight right your eyes are only going
to be moving by like your soul you're
not gonna do this your eyes are only
going to be following the tip of the
thumb okay okay you can still see the
tip of the pen correct what color is it
again oh okay
[Applause]
don't turn your head
[Applause]
okay
all right so we're going to be utilizing
this line don't start anything yet I'm
going to put you in a position first
you're going to stay in that position
and I'm going to explain the series
um how to perform the test and then
you're gonna when I say start then
you'll begin the test okay I will ask
you if you have any questions before
beginning the test just in case if you
need me to clarify everything okay okay
so right now
you're gonna put your right foot out
and then
your left foot your big toe needs to be
touching the back of your hair so you're
going to be at a here to toe position
okay and hands to the side
to the side
you're going to stay in that position
for right now keep them to the side
remember get a toe position so you can
look at me
so I put my right foot out and it should
be like this just look at her perfect
and you're gonna stay like this for
right now okay
so that's part one yeah try to stay in
that position right now okay
is it your shoes are you okay
you have different pairs in the car no
no so
you're gonna stay in that position we're
gonna take a series of steps you're
gonna count out loud
two
three up to nine then you're gonna take
a small series of steps
to get back into the same position
then you're gonna count out loud one
two three
and so forth up to nine all right do you
understand the instructions yes okay
you're gonna utilize this line as your
platform and begin a series of tests you
may begin what can I do without my roots
or no
um if that if that makes you more
comfortable to do it out your boots
that's completely up to you the floor is
wet so I'm just trying whatever's gonna
be able to for you to perform this test
well one two three
four five
six seven eight I'd rather do this on my
roots but okay it's up to you if you
wanna if you want to give yourself
another chance because do it without the
boots
it's up to you I just don't want your
anything to happen to your feet
[Applause]
[Applause]
hold on
you could get yes okay
[Applause]
you gotta do the small series of steps
in a circle and do nine steps back you
gotta do the small series of steps to
get back into that position remember I
told you got to turn around I thought
you said you said oh okay sorry yeah all
right I'll do it again
one
two three
four
five six
six seven eight nine turn around yes you
can face me now
[Music]
all right
so you could put no you can stop right
now where we're done with that portion
of the test if you want you can actually
put yours actually no because the next
step is like about the next test is
balanced so you'll probably be better
off not balancing on you all right so
you're gonna decide whatever leg you're
comfortable with
you're gonna lift it six inches off the
ground okay straight down
count one one thousand two one thousand
three one thousand four one thousand
five one thousand and so forth until I
tell you to stop all right your hands
gotta stay at your side at all times and
then you decide whatever like
um okay okay just give me one second
and
you may begin
keep going
do it again we'll keep going I didn't
until I say stop oh I'm sorry all right
and you may stop
Susan can you please put your shoes back
on
you need you call my hand if you need my
assistance I'm sorry
all right Susan can you turn them off
please
can we get your hands please you're
being placed under arrest
[Music]
thank you
I don't know what's happening so what
happened what's happening is that you're
being placed under arrest for driving
while in South Dakota
[Music]
thank you
