So, a couple things. One, you're not wearing a seatbelt. And two, the tag on the car the last two characters hold the green is missing. So, the tag is face, so you can't read these last two characters in the show. Not a big deal. It's just a minor traffic stop. Uh do you have the registration for the tag that's on the car cuz that's not this. That's not the tag that's on it. What am I doing? The numbers on the tag did not match what should have been on the vehicle. According to the records, the correct plate assigned to the car should have had completely different characters. Even more concerning, the plate appeared to have expired years earlier and was not currently assigned to any vehicle. Where you off to today? To To South Carolina. So, that tag that's on it expired in 2015. It's not assigned to any vehicle. I don't know. So, maybe somebody switched my my tag or something cuz I have I have a regular tag. I don't even know why I would have put that one on there. I mean, I have a tag for it. The tag that was on there I don't know if I lost the tag. I have a like you know what I mean? I don't know why that was on there. Maybe somebody switched it or I don't I don't know what to tell you. I don't know. I don't know either. Where is my registration? The vehicle was considered illegal to operate. That meant it would have to be towed. You want to have her get out. We're going to end up towing. Ma'am, can you hop out on that side for me? For what? The woman kept arguing that they had no right to search the vehicle without her permission. The officers explained that this was not a consent search because the car was being towed, they were allowed to do an inventory search to record what was inside before the vehicle was taken away. The tag that's on the car is not supposed to be on it. So, we have we have to take the tag off the car. Okay? Without a license plate on the car, the car is not allowed to be operated on the roadway. So, it has to be towed. It can't be left here. It clearly didn't match the In the end, Sarah was charged with several offenses. These included possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting an officer without violence. Later in court, she was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. For [music] the other two charges, the court withheld adjudication, meaning she was not formally convicted on those counts. She was sentenced to 18 months of probation. However, after repeatedly violating the terms of that probation, she was eventually taken back into custody. The court also ordered her to pay $918 in fines and fees related to the case. According to available records, none of that amount has been paid. What do you think about this situation?
