And do you have any idea where the taser prongs hit you approximately or Yeah, in my back. Oh, both in your back. Okay. And no other injuries that I need to document? Okay, and anything else that's you wish to to state right now or just You were just running and officer tased you in the back and you fell down. Yeah, I don't even remember what happened. I don't even know why I got tased. Okay. All right, sir. Thank you. Yeah, just be there. No. I wasn't aware of this door right here. That's why I was I thought >> no. The only reason I was over there is like how come my little sister >> No, I I heard that. I'm talking about when we first came. >> I'm like they're going. I didn't know anything about that door. I thought that was the only door. Yeah. All right, so Oh, you're going to need this area? Let's just go. So, [music] explain everything that was happening. All right, so from the very beginning when the first interaction or just today? Let's start with today and then we'll go back once I'm done here. >> today they came in. >> [music] >> They sat down right here. It was the guy and the girl. I have them on camera. They were in inquiring about three rings. One $10,000, one $5,500, and one $4,700. My associate was helping them and they talked about wanting to open a credit application. Now, they displayed an ID and my and I already knew when they came in, I was over here. I saw them cuz I helped them last time. I knew exactly who they were. So, I prompted my girl to go call security. That's when you guys were out here. I was like, "Wait." cuz I don't I didn't know what was going to go on yet. Then I heard my associate say, "Oh, this doesn't really look like you." That's when I got up as soon as cuz I knew he was giving an ID over. Let me go get you guys. I guess they had seen he ran. That was that. When he came in last time, this was on 5/19. Same thing except this time, it was probably around $7,000 worth of merchandise that he took retail from me. Um we were over here. They wanted to do a credit application. ID did not match the description. I actually have pictures on my phone from the last time. Did not match him whatsoever. He wasn't giving me an accurate name. Then he wanted to do a progressive lease. That's the next which [music] is it's not a it's different from a K card. So, we needed banking and routing information. He then displayed a debit card with the name of Cameron. And when he handed it to me, I said, "But this isn't the name on your ID." That's the exact same one. I have a picture of it. I can show it to you on my phone. It's the same exact one. I was like, "This doesn't match." He goes, "Oh, I gave you the wrong one. Let me go to my car." He goes out the door for about 2 minutes, comes back in. He goes, "Here you go." I'm looking at it. He went outside and scratched the name off. It was a blue card. He handed it right back to me. I was like, "I don't feel comfortable. I'm so sorry." He argued with me, "What are you accusing me of?" And I was just like, "Nothing. I just don't feel comfortable running a credit application because ID that does not look like you. The name doesn't [music] match the other one." They left. I called the cops. Um they the guy came over and took the the report from me. He also went to the Jared's and did the same thing and they were aware of it because I called them. That was on 519. They were like, "No, we're not going to help you. It's not we can't. There's nothing we can do. It's not coming up." They they acted like this was someone's account. Now that that application you said that he tried to fill out, do you usually have that still like Um >> the credit card application or was that electronically or what is it? >> It goes away. But I can I have like if I go He the thing is is we looked into it last time. The debit card that he was giving Cameron Richie, he was arrested. He lives with Cameron Richie. They know each other. They were arrested. They were committing fraud. I think they got arrested last time for trying to do a some kind of weird thing with an undercover cop where he was like a the cop was selling something and he tried to take it and not pay or whatever. They got arrested for it. All right. So this is the one he tried to use today. >> Yes. And then I can show who other Richie people presented that to you as I'm sorry? I would get them the statement that was you know presented that to you as his identification. >> That was you? That was her. >> Oh her. Okay. Okay. Okay. Her. I thought it was me but this time it would be her. All right. Yeah. Yeah. And yeah. Yeah. Listen. In your wallet, there's two $100 bills. You have $200 cash. I'm confirming that's all the cash that you have. Yes, ma'am. There's two $100 bills. Okay. Can you please raise your right hand? Do you swear to Do you swear the testimony you're about to provide is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth? I swear. Okay, you can put your hand down. Tell me as descriptive as possible what you saw and what happened here today. But I need you to talk up cuz we need I was behind the counter. um the the ice cream corner and put up the razor series. I I don't really remember what I was doing when I saw like someone walking in running. I thought like maybe he was coming in to buy ice cream. He was He had dreads. I can't remember if like if he was white or black. I can't remember that. And then that's when I saw he run to the back. That's when I got scared. Then I when I see you coming, that's when I tried to hide under the You saw who coming? I saw the um a police officer coming. And then with the yellow taser, that's when I tried to hide under the um the top of the corner of the ice cream. Then he went He went in the back. Who ran in the back? The guy that come in that had the dreads. >> Okay. He run. And then after I I couldn't see what happened here when the police officer come after him. And after all I went outside and stand outside. Okay. So, when you say the guy that ran in with the dreads, right? He ran into the store where the customers originally >> No. No. No customers allowed in here. No. No. No. No. When he first ran in, the area where the customers come in to buy the ice cream, right? >> Yes. But then where did he go? Where did he run to? >> customers not allowed to. And where is that? Employee's only in the back. The back of what? The store. And is this like The kitchen area. >> the kitchen area, but customers do not come in here. Do customers even go behind the ice cream scoop counter? And then where is this employee lounge in reference to the the ice cream? Behind like it's in front of the ice cream. The ice cream is in front of the >> Yeah. Okay. >> They're supposed to be outside in front of the ice cream like behind the New York the glass. Okay. So, the customers do not go behind the ice cream counter. Okay. Is there anything else that we did not discuss that you would like to include or clarify? No. Did you agree to provide this statement on your own free will? Yes. Was the information provided in this statement the truth? Yes. The time is 17:49 hours. This concludes the recorded sworn statement. Out of camera. Oh. Okay. So, um grandma's coming to get you, okay? Mhm. You're We can't get a hold of your stepmom. We have no choice, okay? Okay. So, I'm doing you a solid, right? And not writing charges on you. >> from the last number you gave. You ran from us, okay? That is a charge in and of itself, right? So, you can go you could be going to juvie right now for that, right? And then you're with an adult or a guy that second time is trying to commit a crime, whether you know or don't know. With you. With you, and you're So, you could also be charged with an accomplice to a felony, okay? That's not happening here today. So, I'm going to ask you some questions, and I just need you to answer my questions, okay? >> Is that the like the Black man that was No, we're not tricking you. I'm not tricking you. I'm trying to do you a solid. >> but is your solid only if I answer these questions? >> No, you're still going with grandma. >> you questions about your safety is what we're going to do. We're not asking you any of these questions. >> on video from the last time in May at Kay Jewelers, okay? Can I zoom in? You sure? Oh. Yeah, this is from May when you when he did the same thing at Kay Jewelers, okay? So, I just want to know for your safety, right? Who is he to you? My husband. Okay, we don't We're asking you because we're worried about you, not to try to jam you up. I understand that. >> is he? Well, you guys know his age. Do you know how old he is? You're the one hanging out with him. >> Yes, ma'am. I do. Okay, cuz your mom says that he's your boyfriend. Oh. Well, that's my friend. That's a boy. You want to put it that >> Okay, do you guys have sexual relations? >> No, ma'am. You know, um, officers already questioned my father You know about this. Yeah. And they asked if he wanted to press charges against him. His answer was no. Against you? >> Yeah, so has the city of me, too. Press charges against who? The guy here today? >> Yes. For for what? Well, there was another incident and um I was with him and the cops just Well, I was taken to the station and boy and Okay. And my dad picked me up. Okay. >> And that's all. Was the charges against you? The battery charges against you? >> No. Against your dad? No. Who did he batter? What? He said battery. He's booked for some kind of assault battery. Oh, no. That was a it was a situation. Yeah, that's not my business to tell. So, you can ask >> Okay, then what are you talking about then? I'm just saying that was already asked of me. If he's having sex with an underage minor? >> is all been asked before. Okay. >> I already gave my answer. It's no. Okay, well, that wasn't us. So, when we see you here with an older guy and I just got off the phone with your mom, your stepmom My stepmom? Yeah. I thought you couldn't get a hold of my stepmom. She couldn't come get you. She couldn't get you. >> Oh. Oh, okay. We got a hold of her. She just couldn't come get you. Okay. And so, we told her what happened and she said the guy you were with was your boyfriend. So now, because we're cops, we want to make sure you're okay, cuz you're not going to jail. I'm okay, miss. We want to make sure that you're okay and that he's not doing anything to you. I'm okay. And nothing's being done and no sexual relations >> Against your will? Look, we don't care if you're having sex. We just don't obviously want it to be against your will or with someone that's way older than you. >> I think I would let you know if it's against my will, for enough. Or well, no one else can hear me. I think I would let you know. Oh, we would hope so. That's why we're here taking our time out to make sure you're honestly willing to talk to you like moms cuz we have kids. And your mom's not here and she's at work and your grandma's on her way. So, when we see you on video a couple times with an older guy and you look like you're kind of giving us attitude so you don't look like that kind of timid or shy, but we're worried about you. Like it seems like you can handle yourself and somehow you got here. Was he driving? How'd you guys get here? >> right. I don't even know if we have a car. I think That's the other guy. How did you get to the mall? I don't know. Okay. All right, that's good. All right. Um and your parents are aware that you you hang out with him? This guy? Yes. Do you have other boyfriends? >> No, I'm not a like, no. No, not like that you like that he's making you have. No, I'm not. >> Okay. We're honestly asking. We don't Your mom just your stepmom just said that it was your boyfriend and then we realized he's way older than you. Yeah, okay. But, no. I'm not going to tell you. >> rather us not ask than like ask than not give a about you, honestly? >> ask. There are other girls that are made to do sex acts by a man, right, against their will and they're scared because a guy will beat the living breaks off of them, right? >> And we saw he has a violent past. >> And he's much older than you. He's like 25 years old and you're how old? 16? Yes. >> So, we're talking 9 years. It's I'm going to be straight up, it's not normal that a 25-year-old male wants to be with a 16-year-old female. That is not normal. It's not good. >> It's not normal. And I can only talk to you from coming from a mom place cuz I have kids older than you. The path that you're going down with him is going to lead you nowhere. This is going to be life. Now, this is the second or third time you've been in cuffs because of something he has done, right? He's making choices that are going to screw you up as an adult. And I'm not talking sex or anything. I'm talking like getting catching charges cuz you could be catching a couple significant charges right now. Definitely could. So, I'm just trying to open your eyes and if and if there is something that we can do because this situation is not it's not okay it wouldn't be okay with me if you're my daughter. He would not be with you. I promise that. So, this is not an okay situation. >> and it's not normal. It really isn't. Most 25-year-old guys do not desire a 16-year-old girl. And they shouldn't. So, we're here asking make sure you're okay. Not he's make not making you do anything. Cuz your parent your mom said your stepmom said it was your boyfriend. So, we're just concerned. That's it. >> what she said. I don't know why she said that. Okay. Well, we're following up with it. >> Okay. Well, even if he's a friend, it's not normal. Even if there's no sex, right? >> That's true, too. >> It is not normal that a 25-year-old is wants to hang with a 16-year-old. And he involved him involved you in crimes cuz that's at least two just from that we know about. Never mind all the other ones we don't know about. So, if I ask stepmom has he ever Do you stay the night at his house? Does he stay the night at your house? Cuz I And I just want you to be honest cuz I can I'm going to find out. I'm going to call stepmom and ask. And I'll call his parents. I'll call who he lives with cuz I know that already it's in the system and ask them. So, I'm just asking you to be honest with me. That's it. To be honest with you, miss, sometimes I stay the night >> Okay. >> at his house. >> Okay. I appreciate your honesty. So, that's even more concerning but honestly because it's not it's just it's just not a >> the room with him. Like don't say you sleep on the couch. You know you sleep in the same bed. And he's not a friend. >> We already eat. Don't like attack me. No, we're just trying to be honest cuz we know you're not being truthful when you say he's a friend. Okay. Like Like I don't know what you guys want me to tell you. Nothing bad is happening. If there was something bad happening, I would tell you in this enclosed room where no one else can find me in there. What grade are you going into? Are you enrolled in school? Um I'm going into 11th grade. Okay, you're going to start school where? I'm enrolled in Florida Virtual. No. So you do it from Okay. Yeah. So you do it from home or whatever? Yeah. How long have you been friends with him? Um a couple months. And where where did you guys meet? Be honest with me. I don't feel like answering any of your questions. Do I have to? This is just like I don't know. Okay, but the fact that you're not going to Okay, you don't have to, right? You just read me my rights, did you not? But that's fine. This is not This is separate. This is completely separate. I'm not asking you any of these questions. I know. >> I know. So here's the thing. So here's the thing. The fact that you don't want to answer the questions is going to raise a red flag and I'm going to push this case all the way through. >> How did you meet, she asked. Um we met from a I met him through a friend that goes to Florida Virtual. High school. A girlfriend? Yeah. If you want me to be honest >> No, no, no, it's fine. I was trying to buy weed. Okay. Thank you. I asked this girl, I was like, "Do you Do you know a plug?" Okay. >> And it wasn't him that was the plug. It was a different boy that was driving and delivering, but he happened to be in the car. Okay, so then when you bought the weed, then what? And I and I got in the car then after I went home like he just ran away. Well, actually I found his Snapchat. You don't just find a Snapchat if you don't know a name or a phone number. >> Unless you would like ask like, "Hey, what's your first name?" >> So, right. So, that's not finding. That's Okay. So, he hooked you up with drugs and then you started hanging out. >> No, I did not say that. >> The other guy. The other guy. Yeah, but he was in the car. So, you get high together and you hang out. >> smoke. I just bought it and went home. Okay. And then you moved in with him, which is fine. Um okay. So, is there anything going to be anything weird on your phone when we go through it? When who goes through it? >> When the police go through it. Uh Nudes? Anything? You might want to be honest because we're going through it. Cuz it's not like >> Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. We can get a search warrant even if stuff has been even if stuff has been deleted, we're going to get it off. And again, it's because we're worried about you. You're not like a suspect in anything. >> I know that, but like >> don't have to be worried. There's nothing to be worried about. Like isn't the question is you should be asking my grandmother if she wants to press charges on this man for whatever and whatnot. Well, I wouldn't even say that right now. Like Again, let's let's go back to when we dump the phone. Even deleted stuff. >> Yeah. What are we going to find between you and him? Nothing. So, we're not going to find nudes. No, no. >> going to find inappropriate sexual conversations or sexting. No. No. No. Okay. What about his phone? Yeah, cuz we have all three of his phones. We have three of his phones. >> Mhm. No. We're just talking about it now with you, so you have a chance to explain it and get ahead of it. Again, you're we're not looking to arrest you for >> like It we're honestly asking you these questions to make sure he's not doing anything to against your will. The sheer fact that he's that much older is a problem. >> And the sheer fact that she met him through another girl at that attends Forest Hill. Yeah. >> [snorts] >> I didn't meet him. I met the guy driving. Right. And he happened to be in the passenger seat. Okay. Well, I think that, you know, we just do our best to get you from here with dump all the phones, the four phones, his three, hers, and then if there's lies, then we just then charges will be forthcoming because we're asking you to be honest. So, if we dump the Okay. If we dump the phone Hold on. If we dump the phone and we find nudes, That's just like If we find nudes, do you understand that lying to us, right, in complete police capacity because we're looking out for your well-being and a possible crime that's been committed. That would be against him. Not Not against you. Do you get just the fact that you're 16 is him taking advantage of you just that you're because you're young age? I It doesn't matter if you consent or not. Your young age Your young age in itself is a problem. Okay. I understand that, miss. But like Okay. At the end of the day, it will be my people's choice. It won't be the state's choice. >> actually, it is because you're too young to make decisions for yourself. >> But I guess what? It won't be my choice. It'll be the my parental authorities to Okay. No, no, no. If there's inappropriate, we will step in. The state will Okay. >> Well, there's nothing inappropriate on that phone. That's what you'll find. You can have fun with that. Okay. Okay. But thank you. I actually appreciate your guys' concern. I'm being good. Okay. He was charged with burglary, theft, and resisting arrest without violence. He was sentenced to 36 months of probation, 75 hours of community service, and required to complete a theft abatement class. Thanks for watching. Be sure to subscribe for more videos like this.
