He was down here with the other guy that just left. I don't know if I mentioned something. I had a brain injury. But sorry to hear that. Okay. I'm going to feed you. And he took off. Over here and then I got done and I went out. I turned and he said, "Can I say a prayer with you?" Nice. Sure. Yeah. Good guy. I was expecting to do that. Said a prayer. And I had my stuff right in my hand like this which I actually should have. I said that and all of a sudden he up and ran to his car right over here down this row. And then kind of I ran over after him so I could beat on his window. I went to get his handle here like that. Broke off. I fell back. He took off. Did you get his tag? I got it. Part of the license number. That's what I mean. I got it. Yeah. I didn't get the whole thing. I got two It was a silver silver SUV. I don't know exactly. He was more interested in trying to stop him. Do you mind when you come back, can you bring a statement form? Yeah. >> I'm going to see if Yeah. All right. Give me one second. Do you have a manager here? I am. Do you have surveillance footage? We do not. Um I did call my corporate officer or auditor and they said it may take like a day or two, but I do have the gentleman's ID cuz he was here trying to I'm so he he was trying to what? Attempting to cash a large personal check. Uh-huh. >> And we refused so that's how we were able to Did he give you his ID? Yeah. I have a picture of it. So we're allowed to give it to you. Oh, yes, please. Thank you. Yeah, no problem. So he he spoke to you in here, you said? Yeah, I was at the end when he was saying or I think throwing it down at the guy that just left, the worker. Talking with him, you know, and you hear him say, "Oh, yeah, I got a brain injury. I got a work injury." I said, "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." Seemed like a nice guy. And then he took off to do something and I went out there to my car. I said, "Hey, can I pray with you?" Sure, you know. Said a little prayer like that. And where was he parked? And I'm right here this blue car >> Uh-huh. the next row over about probably five or six down. Okay. And uh just talked like that and then just grabbed it and ran to his car and I kind of took off, got in, locked it of course. And he's laughing like Okay. Getting there like beating on the window and I I grabbed this so I could grab it. Went to open it. Broke it off. And he just took off. I kind of got his license a little bit while he was going. So Was it just him? What's that? >> alone? Okay. And what did he look like? He was probably about 5'9" I'm guessing, slim, white guy, short hair. Uh Did he look a little like disheveled? Like was he dressed nice? Did he was he wearing like Just jeans. I I don't remember exactly, but I think just basic jeans or shorts or something like that. Nothing like he was homeless or anything. Okay. He was I think trying to get some money here, but for whatever reason he couldn't get it. So I don't know. I should have just Yeah, if you when I get that picture of the license, I should be able to if the car's assigned to him, [clears throat] I should be able to figure out uh where he is and all that. Uh I I said older like an older this is a beat up SUV, silver kind of I don't know what kind it was. What's that? That's fine. As long as like I get his license information and all that. Cool. And did when you looked at him, did that appear to be him? Um this is the actual gentleman. He had something on I didn't take care of him. Okay. Um That's all. I can ask him too. Does that have the information of what he tried to cash on there? It does. Am I able to take that? Just to say he was in here trying to do something fraudulent a little bit. Mhm. So what we have this one where we have to scan the back of it too that was blank. But this is my >> That's fine. How much How much was it for? That. $5,000 $5,000. So he came in and tried to cash a check for $5,000. It was from a personal check of this person. Okay. Um we did not cash it, you know, for reasons that we suspected it. Okay. And what led you to believe that exactly? Um well, the handwriting is shaky. Uh-huh. Um my as- assistant was he was like asking me questions, very fidgety body language, um things of that sort. And it just didn't make sense. Yeah. So Okay. So I asked So I So he just in generally just looked a little suspicious. >> Mhm. Okay. Mhm. Mhm. So actually I am going to And that being said, I can cooperate. Cool. Thank you. I'm not going to put their name in the report or anything. I am going to block out the account information and stuff. All right. Thank you so much. Um and did you witness any of it? Did you witness like him taking the money? You just saw him come in, that was it? Okay. Do you care if I get your first name? Juanita. All right. Cool. Thank you. Um we can go out here. I'm going to give this to him so he can run this. This is him. Huh? He tried to cash a check. Oh, good. So I'm going to go grab a statement form him real quick. Uh Castlewood. So that's the dude. Yep. >> All right. So I'll look up his driver's license to see what he drives. >> All right. Hey, if we find him, can we go go put him in cuffs? >> I know. Here you are. Okay. Um so on the front here, I don't need like your hair color and all that, but if you could put like your phone number, your email, your driver's license number. Yeah. Like I was telling her I I have a brain injury. It's short-term memory loss. So if I have have to question, I'm not being dumb or anything. I just >> Okay. No, no, you're good. Yeah. >> And then on the back so ignore this. Uh well, if you have a description, you can put them on here. Um for suspect, but then on the back is going to be your narrative. Okay. >> Okay. Write what happened. Just initial there saying that everything you put on there is true. And then right here either sign on the top or the bottom. Top one is I will prosecute. Bottom one is I refuse to prosecute and then just a signature there. Okay. Okay. So just this one here you said or the whole thing? So this here, but like I don't need your birth date and all that. Just license number, email. >> My name. Yeah. And then that's the suspect there. So whatever information you have on him, you can put there. Thank you. No [clears throat] problem. 5214 701 37's going to have one Hispanic male 10-15. Hey, can I get a light? Yeah. You're going to You're going to shoot you. Take my wallet. I got third degree burns on my Yeah, look at that. Okay. Do you want the fire department to come check you out? >> Maybe you can drop take him to the hospital or something, you think? Something like that. I uh yeah, I messed I messed that pretty bad. They can go to You know, make sure he goes to the hospital. Okay. Do you have anything on you? Any weapons? 5214 701 Can I get FD 51 in reference to burns on the suspect? I don't want anything. I'm not hungry. Okay. Do you have anything on you? Any weapons or anything like that? Oh, yes, sir. This pocket What's that? The right one, all right? Yeah, they're you were saying on the pocket. Do you only have burns on your legs? Uh yes, ma'am. Are you sure? Yes, ma'am. Okay. Yeah, he's got to go to the hospital. I I I I made a I made a I made a big mistake. Made a really big mistake. What is this here? Um those are mechanic gloves. I usually ride with them when I'm riding my bike cuz I have calluses on my hands. And then my thumb my thumb has been hurting this thumb right here. Okay. I like dislocated it cuz I was going to burn it or something. Is this money? Yeah, this is change that that that I gave you. >> On my legs. Ooh. My bad, buddy. Your legs. Yeah, I'm sorry. Is it just on like the backs of your legs, do you think? See that? Mhm. That whole side. And then this whole side on this >> Okay. I see the blisters and stuff on that side. This side hurts bad. This side doesn't hurt as much anymore, but it's just Yeah, it's just So, it's just your legs, not your feet, not your arms, nothing else? >> No, a little bit on my foot. >> bit on your feet? >> That's why I took my socks off cuz it was hurting me. Okay. Like it was hurting All right. I'm going to read you something, okay? You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. Do you understand these rights? Can you talk to me? Um what do you want to talk about? All right. So, I What I want to talk to you about is what happened here today. Oh, okay. Okay. So, you want to talk to me about that? Well, I just I was having a rough time. Okay. And and if I'm being honest, I I just wanted to try to like reset my life. Okay. You know? Yeah. And then being here, it's like I feel sometimes like I'm in jail or like Yeah, I got that. I can't grow. I can't grow and you know, I'm getting closer to God and I told myself I'm going to do anything to be successful. And if I try to get away with whatever, like I can try to make money. I'm Yeah. And I didn't want to do it like Man, I can't lie. I prayed to the guy Yeah. and everything and I used that as like a way to like take it away from you. Yeah. Okay. And I and I was freaking out. I was freaking out. Okay. I appreciate you for being honest. So, like do you What did you go there initially for? I went there to try to to try to cash a check that I got like a long time ago to see if I can cash it. Uh-huh. You know, cuz I was feeling like post-traumatic stress and I was trying to help out people here and whatnot. You know, they were asking me some questions about what what can we get you? Did you get like some good deals when he was talking to you? So, you went there to cash a check basically? Pretty much. Okay. I was trying to get that Post Traumatic Real Estate to help me out and get me down property. Yeah, we have the fire department coming to look at him. Um I was working with a contract organization. Just uh hopefully at least wrap him up until we can get him transported. Yeah. Okay. And then so you you saw the guy out there and then what? Followed him outside and told him you were going to pray with him? Well, he was talking about how he had a headache. Uh-huh. He was saying something about his anxiety. And like bro, but truthfully, my heart did go out to him. Yeah. You know, my heart really did go out to him, but I'm not going to lie like I know like I'm not good. Yeah. And he's talking to me. He had his hand kind of like how your hand is, but >> Yeah. Yeah. And and I was like I kind of understood. And so like he's talking and he's like kind of like rambling on and I'm kind of like trying to cut the conversation >> Uh-huh. and then I was just like grabbed it. Okay. All right. Is the money in your wallet? Yes, sir. Okay. All right. Um I then I think this officer here is going to have some questions for you, too, okay? How did you wreck it? Well, I I I was trying to pull in somewhere to like be chill like to hide it and then just drive off again during the day again. Mhm. But I was like the only thing I'm really good at is lawn care. That's like my bread and butter. Like I can make some money doing lawn care, I know it. So, there was like a little detergent in the back. So, you know, I had like five bucks on me. So, I poured out the detergent and I filled it up with as much gas as I could and I told myself I was going to go and try to find a weed eater or push mower >> Mhm. and use Mr. James's truck to just make money. Just make money. I wasn't going to come home until I like made enough to pay him back for his car. Until you know, but when I pulled it into that place trying to like put sticks down on the ground so I can have somewhere for the truck to like have a platform for the the Kia to have a platform. Mhm. So, I can like back it out without being noticed. Mhm. I um So, when I put the detergent into the into the into the the car, right? Into this seat, the top wasn't all the way on. So, some gas had fell on the seat. Okay. And I was smoking a Black & Mild. And so I flicked the ash and the ash went down and hit the seat and it it lit on fire. And by then I already grabbed the [music] detergent and I put the detergent behind me and as I'm putting it behind me, some fell on my leg. Mainly on this leg, on the right leg. Driving it was feeling on this leg. >> And I put it behind the the the right seat. And then I'm trying to put the fire out, but it's getting bigger and bigger and bigger and my now my leg is like and it's like catching on fire. I got it. And this is when I was already there trying to park and hunker down for the night and just be out of the way. Mhm. And then um after that I uh opened the back the back of the car, like the back the the hood >> the trunk trunk and like the air flow that went through it like through the fire like way more and then I just freaked out and I took off. And I took off and I was walking behind the um Winn-Dixie Mhm. and there was a bike there. So, I jumped on the bike and I just kept on riding. And I saw a trash bag and I poured the trash bag out and put like my stuff in it, my little clothes and stuff and I kept on going and I kept riding. And I kept on um and I kept on riding. You know, I went all the way down to Oviedo and I got to the UCF um Catholic church center or whatever it was. Mhm. And I said like hey, do any of you guys have a like a first aid kit? And I didn't tell them about the car. I told them I was at a buddy's house and we were jumping over a bonfire and we were drunk. Yeah. >> That was the only thing I could come up with without having to tell them like yeah, I kind of just like took the car wrecked it and then because of my stupidity driving thinking I can do lawn care by myself working lawn care in a Kia that's not even mine. You know, I didn't I didn't know how to explain that to them. So, I just made up a [ __ ] story. It was like I we were jumping over a fire and I put my right leg down and I went into like a little pit and then I like just fell straight down. You know, and then after I like fell straight down um my legs got caught in the fire and I spun out and the log hit my leg, but that's not that's not what happened. It's what happened with the car. All right. All right. Yes, sir. Um The the fire department here, they're going to look at you, okay? Okay. So, Did you count the money when you took it from him? Um no, I did not. >> Okay. I did not. Did you spend any of it? I spent I bought What did I buy? I bought a Black a Black & Okay. And was there any money in your wallet before? Um there was like 20 bucks. So, you had yeah, 20 bucks in your wallet? Okay. You said you bought a Black & Mild? Yeah, I bought a Black & Mild with And there was a five in the stack that he gave me. So, there's a five in the stack he gave me and I took that five and bought a Black & Mild. >> Okay. And I put the rest of the coins in that little black bag that my dad gave me earlier filled with coins cuz I was asking him for the Yeah. If you had to guess, how much money do you think was It was a bunch of 20s. Um maybe close to like $300. All right. Check on $300. I think like close to $300 cuz there was a bunch of 20s and All right. Yeah. I'm going to let them look at you real quick, okay? Okay. Um they're going to transport him to ORMC, okay? Yeah. And then after that, he's going to go to Johnny Polk. What's that at? Seminole County Jail. Like near Sanford. Yeah. Okay. Um you have my number, you can call me if you need anything. >> you for you guys' help. I mean you know, I I I want to save his life. Yeah. And that's the best thing I can do. Yeah. Cuz I don't want him to go out there and then call me hey, I found a something in the ditch or something like that, you know? It's crazy. I'm going to go Are you going to follow up with him? Yeah. Hey. He was charged with robbery, fraud, and theft. Thanks for watching. Be sure to subscribe for more videos like this.
