talking about I show speed and how he
just got exposed for being the copyright
system abuser that he is basically he
has been scamming hundreds if not
thousands of YouTubers by falsely
content ID claiming their videos even
though they are fair use now he was
denying this to some extent for quite
some time but he finally told the truth
and said he is the one behind the false
copyright claims now we're going to
unpack this there's a lot to digest so
let's get right into this so first of
all who is I show speed I show speed is
one of the largest streamers on the
platform he is hitting crazy numbers he
blew up in a very very short amount of
time as you can see here he makes about
3.4 million dollars per year so he
definitely doesn't need to scam anybody
that's for damn sure his his content is
mostly targeted to young kids I would
say because I don't know what adult in
their right mind would be able to
tolerate a video like this
but that's besides the point the real
issue here is that being the large
streamer that he is a lot of people were
going to talk about him make commentary
videos some people are going to straight
up steal his videos and upload clips and
other people are going to make fair use
commentary videos now let me get this
straight right off the bat if someone
were to take his videos and just upload
clips of it without any work into it I
think that it is a hundred percent fair
game that he should copyright claim
those videos because they are stealing
his work and putting in no effort of
their own however this is not the case
with the people he has claimed watch
this
a content creator by the name of omni
said I'm getting copyright claim for the
I show speed clip in my latest video
disputed it and got rejected in 10
minutes by thumb media affiliate who I
don't even think exists am I getting
screwed over or is this legit puts my
Channel at risk of getting a strike

and rejected my appeal and it's not a
valid claim whatsoever they even claim
parts of my original video they didn't
even copyright it properly jabroni said
there's a company called thumb media
affiliate that's been striking
commentary YouTubers who talk about I
show speed I'm not sure if this company
is actually affiliated with speed or if
they're just falsely striking videos I
DM speed to see if he can confirm now
people were so shocked by what's going
on and all the abuse that's happening
literally just mentioning I show speed
for a couple seconds in your videos can
get it copyright claimed and all the
money will go to that company people
didn't know if it was actually him
behind it and also keep in mind it is
illegal to file a false dmca takedown or
a copyright claim so this is actually
very serious accusations so people
brought it up to speed and this is what
he had to say about it
oh and by the way when I use his videos
in this current video I will only be
putting still shots and just including
the audio because obviously I don't want
him to steal the revenue from this video
as well

so his initial reaction was oh how do I
stop it this ain't happening to me
but he's not outright denying it that
he's actually the one that hired this
company to copyright claim every single
video that mentions him if a video even
shows a couple frames of him it will get
copyright claimed as I was watching the
video that jabroni did exposing this
idiot it turns out something clicked and
I was like don't I remember actually
making an ishow Speed video and it
getting a copyright claim that was
months ago it was on my main channel so
I went into my YouTube studio and I
searched under the copyright claims and
there it was I actually have a copyright
claim from I show speed under cardigan
media which is the same company that has
been copywriting the content and thumb
media has been claiming it now this is
just another example of him stealing the
revenue from a YouTuber now in my case I
didn't make a big deal about it because
the video got age restricted anyways so
there was no Revenue to steal it's the
video where he almost burns his house
down by lighting a firework inside his
own home
like I said this guy's genius is on
another level we cannot comprehend it
but that's besides the point so this is
just an example how no matter how big or
small if you make a video on I show
speed he will copyright claim your
content it doesn't matter how much work
you put into it if there's any
commentary if it's transformative if
it's fair use the company he hired will
take that income guaranteed and if you
try to fight it you are at risk of
getting a copyright strike because yes
that's how the YouTube system works it
is a broken system you need to give up
all your information for the company to
be able to sue you but they are not
required to give any information
whatsoever they are just a mysterious
company that probably doesn't exist but
yet they are able to reach into your
pocket and steal your hard-earned income
so yeah pretty despicable system we're
working with but it is what it is on
another other note when it comes to
copyright strikes I fought about 40 on
my other channel and unfortunately
YouTube is just the way it is and it
doesn't look like it's going to get
fixed anytime soon but I digress let's
move on to the second time that I show
speed was actually confronted with this
thumb media that he hired
back then uh on a lighter note this
whole thumb media situation
did you hear that speed can you talk
about that
oh what'd you say you can't talk about
that move on you say you can't talk
about it
oh okay all right no reason no reason
so once again he is not admitting or
denying that he is the scumbag that is
filing hundreds of false copyright
claims illegal copyright claims that is
so at this point the interviewer decide
to change subject because when you have
a huge streamer like I show speed on an
interview the last thing you want is to
piss him off and lose the interview so I
totally understand that part now the
pressure was Rising people were like if
it's not you then who it is you need to
call them out that this company is false
claiming videos under your name and it
got to the point where he just couldn't
ignore it anymore so he just decided to
admit it that it was him take a look at
this YouTube X y'all to stop spamming
about these emails
about the cardigan and the thumb midi
affiliate that is me just wanted to let
y'all know everybody know that so vagina
guys please stop thank y'all love y'all
so there you go he admitted that he is
the one behind cardigan media that has
been claiming everybody's videos no
matter if there is transformative work
into it or if it's just an outright
steal now let me reiterate if it's
someone that is straight up stealing his
content and just posting Clips with no
commentary then he would be totally in
the right to claim these videos I see so
many channels that are Clips channels of
moist critical and I wonder how these
channels are able to survive and
monetize because it's obviously not
their content but maybe just critical
doesn't care but he would be in the
right to copyright claim every single
one of these videos fair use
transformative work however is protected
and streamers should not to be claiming
videos that are fair use because it
literally is illegal now let me show you
an example of a fair copyright claim
this is a video I did on my other
channel it was an music remix of Another
Brick in the Wall I rewrote the lyrics
recorded my own voice and redid the
music it got a copyright claim and it
was identified as a cover and therefore
we are sharing the revenue with Pink
Floyd or whoever owns the rights this is
an example of the copyright claim system
working as intended however what I show
speed is doing is not this whatsoever he
is choosing to take all of the money
that the videos make even though there
is transformative work once again very
illegal and a scummy thing to do
especially when you're already a
millionaire you don't need to be
screwing over small YouTubers
so I'm not a lawyer obviously I can't
speak on the legalities of doing these
false copyright claims so I'm not saying
that he is a scammer but what it seems
like is that he hired a company to do
his Dirty Work to file the false
copyright claims on his behalf
I show speed has put himself in a lot of
hot water lately recently he was caught
promoting a scam we covered that as well
and I think he recovered of that to some
extent it's clear that his audience
doesn't really care they're just kids
like who else would listen to barking
and find it entertaining but at least
he's getting exposed I think that maybe
because he's very young the power got to
his head and he decided to go a little
bit overboard with the copyright claims
hopefully he will Rectify that in the
near future so that's pretty much it for
