problem bye all right Julie yes my name is Sergeant Musgrove so I'm with the Sheriff's Office the reason I was stopping you is for two reasons one is you did not have a seat Bel on two is your registration is expired all right when the police turn on their lights and Sirens behind you you're required to stop by law by law yes okay and you failed to do so right you clearly saw me behind you yes I saw you you look over to your left at me yes and completely disobey stopping me and you even told your niece that you just didn't want to stop that the cops can't make you stop well it's true because if you if you think about listen this is my line of thinking if you really want to know why first of all I know my registration is out and I also know that a lot of other things why I couldn't stop and that you guys are cops and you're going to obey the law to the tea whether or not it violates other person's right so I know all that and I was trying to decide what do I do here because you know I'm about to take a trip and I don't know where I'm going to reregister my car and I just don't know what kind of a person you are and so the truth is that my heart's conviction human being to human being is that just because somebody tells you you have power over my body doesn't mean that you do okay so I have that and then I have life and I have a child and so of course in the moment I'm trying to assess what is the right move here and I didn't pull over I think that you went overboard but I understand why I understand why you do what you need to do this is your job and this is what you committed to doing you know if you would have stopped you would have just gotten a ticket at I probably could have chatted my way out of it but I didn't at most you would have got at most would have gotten a ticket for a seat belt and a warning for an expired tag probably at most right but you chose otherwise and and for every action there's a reaction just so you know so today today you're going to go to jail tell you to stop I stopped you didn't stop when I actually stopped willing you so how is that you stopped more than a mile away but I still stopped in a very St neighborhood told and you told your niece that you didn't feel like stopping well because I didn't and that is a true statement but I did stop and we can express our feelings without getting punished for it right well you're going to jail today on a felony for a failure to stop okay and you get you feel good about that human to human no I don't but you you're making the choice you made the choice okay because human to human you understand God's law I uphold the law of the State of Florida and I sworn to uphold the laws of the State of Florida do you believe it's a violation of human rights to give somebody a ticket for not wearing a seat belt so you elect state legislators in the State of Florida right no you don't no because I actually well you live in the state of Florida right I do okay so the state the state legislators are who make the laws I understand human laws I understand that I understand but there's a kind of come a time soon where we say we're not going to just let other people tell us what it is to be human and live okay and that we have to keep playing these games that get us locked up in jail was the danger unun unfortunately in the State of Florida that will probably not happen right well I think eventually it could I'm just living in Hope and I'll I'll deal with what you're want to dish out to me because you are choosing also you see what kind of a person I am you handcuffed now she's in my car but I'm uh this is all for from what I just overheard a seat Bel and expired tag it's all it was all right well we got her now are you guys showing her car I don't know yet it's not my traffic set stop so I'm not 100% sure but I I don't know why bought a bunch of food okay you know at Walmart because that's where we we dropped her off at okay I'm uh well obviously we'll if we could get the food yeah we'll get the F out I could take it the car to her house drop the car off at her house well I'm sure my supervisor will not have a problem with that that would be better yeah so I'll I'll let him know we have to search it first just to make sure there's nothing crazy inside yeah I'm uh due to her getting arrested so now what's the plan can we do she have a bail she'll probably have a bond uh she might have to go to first appearance first most likely which will be tomorrow like uh they start at 9:00 a.m. and they go in alphabetical order I don't know it's her last name love it's so she'll probably be one of the first depending on how many people get arrested tonight and that were arrested today yeah I'm uh did you get new insurance on your Jeep new insurance on my Jeep yeah on that is that yours yeah okay your license is suspended my license is yeah it's for f financial responsibilities mainly it's because when you switch insurances over um uh the DMV does not or the the new insurance company doesn't notify the DMV I switch insurance companies I never switch insurance compan you haven't had yeah okay have you missed any pays you know what happens uh though I do get a thing in the mail saying which is weird because I thought it was for my my Commercial Insurance cuz I have two commercial trucks okay um I thought that's what it was for making payments on that and I'm making payments on that too all right it might be for that but uh um I would just have her drive out of here I'm not going to make a big stink about it well we'll cross
