what's going on so um my L at 2 p.m. on a Wednesday police received a report of a suspected employee theft these are the events that followed um what's going on pretty much as explainer um since the beginning of February mm she pretty much knew people from Facebook and regular customers and she's in a tough situation with her family and she fig I let you take the merchandise you want all I need is $50 to 80 coming to me in cash and I will under ring every other item so she will boy the items or not even ring it so you can see transaction when she at the end voice it okay to zero or you can see when she only scan a lollipop for 35 cents a dollar and then you see like a full buy living in the store full of ma do you have um do you have the videos uh each time get in time yes okay um do you have a laptop or anything I can view it I can look at some of the right now in the screen yeah you also have this is also a log of everything right of everything so far what some of the stuff is not loged yeah but you've Got Dat and time can we get a copy of this too of course what's your name Tina um I'm going to talk to you for a minute but I I don't want you to start calling everybody I don't want people to start showing up here and ain't nobody going to show up here but I'm not just going to I can't get in contact with my Fon I'm not going to go to jail and nobody knows where I am okay with the transaction can you tell me like what's what's going on like I my cuz I don't want anybody to come here and put a gun to your face and threaten you and whatever and then we're going to have to go hunting them down and and and find out just make sure that didn't happen Okay I just that's why I need to get a stus store from you to make sure that you're not you safe that no one threaten you or anything no threat me I I can't hear you nobody threaten me okay all right can you tell me what's going on I just said I ring people up they gave me money and that was it a so you you charging more on charge them less than what the value of the the the merchandise huh how much you normally get from them this all depends 60 80 100 depends the person the I I don't know it's just different prices I don't know so like between $50 to $100 um these people that normally like do they know you how do you know them like the street the street like in the neighborhood around yeah okay like do they know to come to you or how does it work if we're doing the same statement the man just took from me on a piece of paper I I I the what I'm trying to say is that I just I need to it's either I know them and they just come into shop and they see me there and that's just what I do I don't call nobody like I I don't like that's why I'm saying if I'm going to jail there's no point to explain all this because I'm going to go to jail with a migraine and aggravated as like they already got the video what I'm saying got all that like I don't you can you can stop you can say at any was a mistake I know I was wrong like now what's the next step okay how long this been going since you started it's like January since January do it the whole time anything that you think I should she um so she's been doing that since January um as far as how much money she got she doesn't know but it's been ongoing since January um I have enough to charger and you say you want to P charges on to use and all that stuff so put yeah yeah just how did you guys find out that this been going on so we have like reports right that comes out every week um she started to flag on the reports okay so when someone FES high on we pretty much go in and start looking at her transactions to see why is she either too high or too low so watching video and seeing why she's fing that's when we noticed so it was her information was um was flagged in the weekly report and then they initiated an investigation and discovered that she's been um stealing from the conf correct so how did you find out about um on my office day we got a database and the database Flack people that are doing too many transaction voids okay so I look at her transaction void and for this area she was the highest one so too many voided transactions too many voided transactions on the the report okay the first one that I open just to verify I see what you saw and I W so I call a man and say am man sounds like we're going to have to do what did you see all the items being voided and the customer walking normally I mean we do voids hey I forgot my wallet and but the items are left behind so I see the boy and I see that the customer Che B is and the customer are like oh we got so you see the voice transaction and then the customer still work out with the merchandise she still bag it and still put it in the shopping cart and allow the customer to out that's what got the whole in St and approximately how many um transaction you think I will say cuz I know you guys going to provide to I will say and remember we have only research like two weeks she has been doing that since January okay and you got to remember you saw it three and four a day so it adds a big timeing you saw the amount of merchandise so me reviewing personal probably about 10 10 but so so you have with you at least 10 trans at least 10 trans and those are the ones that we're going to provide you that is on that list that Amanda has okay and she's going to provide it to the shareff office so basically um you um and one thing that you can put a note in there looking at the transaction void we noticed when we were looking at one transaction void we kept going watching the next customer and this is something that will never shop on a report and then we see a sale for 50 cents oh let's go watch that and then we see her scanning a lollipop and $150 going out so which she has nothing to do with what got me to her on the transaction voice so she was doing not only the transaction voice but she was what we call under the ringing okay I kind a lollipop I'll let you go with 1050 that I don't even go through the register okay you taking me all right I'll call you from in there um do you have anything in your pocket anything in your jacket never take jacket off yeah just I'm C taking jail with you okay I can't weit till we get there it's you're not you're not going to need it no you're going to be inside the it's cold in there you going to put that in the jewelry off I get there and will your your pants stay without the belt oh Lord I'm not even at the jail yet sir oh we have to take it all off so we can the last months of probation 30 hours of community service and required to attend an 8-hour theft abatement course
