they don't get as busy
here as they do at net care so they
shouldn't have any problems
have you ever been to this hospital
before
i think they feel good they take good
care of people
hey guys welcome back to the channel the
video that i have for today
is going to be another incident
involving a police officer
and a person who needs mental health
treatment
one thing that makes this incident a
little bit different
is that the officer was actually called
to a convenience store
on a call about a person who was sitting
outside
possibly intoxicated in front of the
business
and the business called because they
wanted that person to be removed from
the property
so the officer responded to seeing began
talking to this person
and very quickly as you'll see found out
that
what was going on is that this person
needed some help so the officer decides
that he's going to take this person down
to netcare which is a
mental health treatment facility in
central ohio
unfortunately the thing that happened
next was the officer and this individual
made it down to netcare
and an employee from netcare came out
and informed the officer
that they were full they had no beds
available so the officer had to find
another location to take this person who
needed
treatment these are the types of runs
that people don't often get to see
and the people who think that you can
just
replace a lot of what officers do with
social workers wandering the streets
they don't realize that
officers are often coming in contact
with people who need
mental health treatment and the run that
was dispatched had nothing to do with
a person who was mentally ill
the other thing that people often
fail to understand is that the nearest
facility
doesn't always have room for these
people and the officers are
aware of the other places that they can
go and have the ability
to take them there that's about all
there is with this particular incident
so i hope you enjoy this video i hope
you learned something
and i'll talk to you soon
hey what's going on
what are you up to are you okay
okay you need some help i can do that
for you what's your name
ash what ashland actually okay

supposed to um
i guess oh you have and it's just not
you're still feeling bad
it's just it's been a it's been away for
a while it's just start it back
up is it just like general depression
that you have to deal with
from time to time and like you're having
a bad flare-up right now or something
it just started okay nothing triggered
it like you didn't get an argument with
somebody or something particular bat
happened to you
[Applause]

when's the last time that you were
actually in treatment for something like

case manager
okay are they easy to get a hold of or
um
oh really
what shelter were you staying at
okay
one or two minutes 38.
i think what was that many miles or 38.
let's have your time
make sure it loses anything
we can step into the breezeway here and
then we'll have to set back outside so
we can do a quick coated screen
all right and we're going to go
somewhere else there
is there another place that you like to
go as far as the hospitals go
[Music]
because i could take you have you ever
been up in riverside or anything like
that
they have a pretty good unit up there
okay do you mind putting your seatbelt
back on for me i get in trouble if you
don't have it on
it's it's on the other side of you
that's why it's kind of weird it's in
the middle and it buckles over here
and you know
i'll go to
grant has a really good spot um doctors
doesn't have social work on at night
am i going to riverside okay i'll take
you up there yeah so i just buckle up
and we'll get up there
it's a pretty nice hospital
[Music]

board and i'm heading up to uh riverside
beginning is 38.
