So, you're telling me that we're starting Dragon Ball Z off with Goku possibly not being Goku? Like, this this character has entered the Dragon Ball chat and he's altering my Dragon Ball brain chemistry because A, he's crazy strong. >> [laughter] >> He is so strong and the first person we see outside of this man who's trying to see this random guy and how he crashed into the ground, we see Piccolo. We see the Demon Piccolo Jr. and he is trying to fight this man and he immediately Toriyama lets us know this is not OG Dragon Ball and the characters we're dealing with are on a whole 'nother level. Not only does this guy like not have any fear, Piccolo, but Piccolo does this crazy blast on him and he just says he calls it dust. It was so funny. He says, "A fine display of dust if such were your intention." The sarcasm 10 out of 10, by the way. Okay, and then he ignores Piccolo and tries to go find he sends his more energy and it looks like the person he's trying to find is Goku? He says, "Have you lost your pride, the pride of the Saiyan warriors?" And he says, "Kakarot? Carrot? What is happening?" And it looks like Goku? Yeah, um I could have thought of a million ways this story would start, but not this. It was not this. So, basically is everything I knew about Goku not going to be what is Goku? Is this Goku's dad? Probably not because he says, "I don't know." I am so confused. But we're officially locked in, guys. Chapter one is complete and now I'm going to have to binge this volume cuz I'm I don't know. And we're five years past what happened in Dragon Ball, so yeah. All right. Let's see what craziness Toriyama has in store for us.
