I'd like to take a moment to let you
know that I made a gift for you to say
thank you for donating to my team's
pelonia fundraiser the gift I've made
for you is this coin and I will be
sending one to everybody who donates
$100 to me or one of my teammates if
you're not familiar with the concept of
a challenge coin they're popular in the
military and first responder communities
a coin is often given as an unofficial
award for doing something wor worth
recognition I came up with this idea
after last year's pelonia when so many
people donated $100 or more to my
fundraiser I was absolutely Blown Away
by their support but devastated to know
that I didn't have a way to properly
thank them for their
donations this year the team and I
decided to chip in some of our own cash
to buy these coins and send them out as
a proper thank you gift I'd like to give
you a little peek behind the curtain and
show you how I came up with this design
the first thing I did was search for a
police fire related coin as inspiration
I found this one from a guns and hoses
event in St Louis once I had the design
I could work with I set out to make my
own and rebuilt it from scratch I used
all of my limited Photoshop powers to
create this masterpiece I started off
with this black and white flag and I
added the super precise red and blue
lines
then I found this badge image and placed
it over the top and used the Eraser tool
on Photoshop leaving only the black
background after adding some images of a
police badge and fire badge then
coloring it all in I was able to send
this rough sketch to a company that
miraculously was able to put this proof
together I'm absolutely Blown Away by
how it turned out and I'm incredibly
proud of the opportunity to send them to
you I'll post a link to the pelonia

donation when you make your donation be
sure to provide a good address the
address is only shown to the person
you're donating to but that's how we'll
send you the coin as a reminder when you

directly to them we don't touch it we're
spending some of our own money and
buying and mailing these coins as a
token of our gratitude thank you again

allowing my friends and I to take this
beautiful bike ride and raise money for
a good cause
