hey hey this is trending at some point um I'm going to be reviewing Summer House Martha's Vineyard season one episode one okay so what I see so far is that they're gonna be there for 15 days because the little thing came up and said day one of 15. they show us Jasmine first Jasmine is a screenwriter and then Silas comes in after her says he's a finance analyst an army reservist um and apparently they just got married they've been married for about three months the next two arrive is Preston he's an attorney and he silences line brother so he gave him and then next Bria the fashion entrepreneur enters oh Jasmine said she met Bria at the uh Playboy club because they were Playboy club bunnies and we have not seen them yet on the show but they also show a girl named Jordan and a girl named Shanice um as well so that's how they met okay next we have Nick who is a sports brand manager and Alex he is an advertising creative director next we have Amir he's a real estate agent there's gonna be a lot of people in this house I believe her name is Jordan but Jordan comes uh Silas calls her calls her Jasmine's Party friend I'm already starting to figure some of these people's name the half Liberties half black dude she finds him attractive apparently they've been in group chat together and Jordan goes on to say that she is the fourth black Playmate of the Year next we have Mariah who is a nurse slash screenwriter one of the cast members was asked by a producer do you think Amir has a chance with Jordan and he's like ah sips T doesn't want to say it and then Nick who has like uh the most colorful wardrobe the uh it looks like to me the best wardrobe so far just because they showed it all nice and laid out I like the the color palette um he said a woman will know when he's shooting his shot because of the energy reverberating between them well then they cut to Jordan I'm like uh oh she said I put Nick on restrict because I was tired of the heart eyes I was like oh no and then they show the screenshot of him doing it and I feel bad because I don't know you know you waver guys shooting the shot waiver between flirting and Creeper territory and I was like my eyes I was already liking just Nick for TV so I really hope he's not a creeper and I hate that this is this is how it's coming off already but I was holding my judgment overall because I don't know any of them so Amir who is the half black half Lebanese cast member says that he didn't really know a lot about his black side he was raised by his Lebanese mom um and he said he didn't really know how to take care of his hair you know things that are associated with us until he was like 24. okay I'm I'm personally on the fence with Jasmine's energy but here's the thing too though okay because I do think she's a lot she's a lot but here's the thing she might be just a true extrovert person and extroverts do bring friend groups together they're the ones that are building these friend groups so it's almost like I mean it makes sense too though and well basically what I'm trying to say is Mariah I'm not sure why she's like mocking Jasmine but she's here on invitation from Jasmine if you can't stand her and she even did a lot lot like that yet why did you come you're gonna be here for 15 days and you're already like girl bye or whatever because she's like we do this every year now Jasmine may be I don't know if she's pretentious yet but it's something I'm waiting to see but she that just might be her she might just be a flip-on person these people do exist on and off camera so I'm trying to give Jasmine benefit a doubt but I am sorry Mariah already I can't really give her the benefit of the doubt because she already knew her from college um and so you know how she is why are you here why are you here just to shade her are y'all friends because you said you want to fight her the first time you met her because she high-fived you in your cast why did you come so the side eyes for Mariah for now for sure and then she's saying uh but because Jasmine's only been to the vineyard twice okay that's two years she might be trying to build something she wants to do a 30 year fourth year fifth year like it's okay like especially with that age being so young you probably couldn't come till you got out of college or your last year of college so they're still building up their thing that they want to do she's done it multi-year so just let her be oh I didn't know Preston was gonna go here because I have mixed feelings about the phrase black Excellence too because it is sometimes sometimes means the way people do it is you have to be a certain way to claim it and you if you are not that then you are not worth anything I I am trying to understand what press is coming from um I don't think he means in a bad way I think he means don't throw the other group of black people to the side because they're not living up to what mostly a European Standard a lot of times of Excellence is and that's what black people exceeded past was was that so I do get where he's coming from so they play a game of truth and truth or dare or drink in the hot tub and uh Amir and Alex are giving the dare to kiss the girl they find attractive uh they both kiss is it Jordan oh my gosh every time I look down I forget to write I forget to write it down I think it's Jordan Mariah is there to give Nick a lap dance she she twerks above him um above his feet and then they dare Alex to sing Alex sings so they revealed that Alex's cousin is John Legend okay okay okay Silas reveals that he uh had to him and his family had to escape Liberia during the Civil War um and showed a picture of him at age five I should have that in the video hopefully I'll be able to see it so um Mariah says that Jasmine had called her up and invited her to New York and when she gets there she finds out Jasmine was getting evicted and they ended up living out of Mariah's car they were taking showers at Planet Fitness eating months and months of ramen noodles and then they said what happened is they ended up turning it into a show they're calling it Rock Bottom as an owner of a furry shedding dog I think Bria is foul for when Jasmine says hey your dog's shedding everywhere and she's like okay um you know what do you want me to do there's nothing to be done about it and I'm like no you have to take care of all of the things with your dog first of all you bring a dog unannounced Esa animal or not you brought it unannounced that's not right um you don't even know if this place is there renting accepts the fact that a pet is coming secondly if my dog sheds at a place that I'm I'm going uh like an Airbnb to stay then I've got to be responsible to get that fur up I'm responsible for potty braids I'm responsible for anything my dog does like and I don't understand that you don't understand that that sounds very selfish Jordan has a theory that Jasmine kind of looks down on Bria um so she might just be making it a big deal just because she doesn't really care for bread Mariah reveals she's a single mom and Jasmine is the Godmother of her son which makes me question more uh why Mariah was kind of making those side comments in the first part of the episode but maybe that is the dynamic we shall see because if you take someone serious enough to make them the grant the Godmother of your child you have to like them I hope then Jordan is out there with throwing a football with Amir and Alex and she tells them that she's been selling it for a year because she has to make sure people aren't just fans and trying to get with her to say that they got with her Alex says he thinks that's the beautiful thing and Amir is like that's a no for him Preston tries to give jazz a heads up that Bria is sitting right there when Jazz brings up Bria being difficult Jazz goes to talk over to goes over to Bria to talk to her they have a quick chat they don't seem like they really resolved anything then Jazz says we're going to get dressed for an all-white dinner as they're driving to the location Mariah and Preston talk about how slaves went up to Oak Bluff to escape slavery and then Oak Bluffs apparently was what Martha's Vineyard which Oak Bluffs is located in open the first Inn for black vacationers including having a black Beach um and they said some of the people that own property in Oak Bluff was or is Spike Lee and Barack Obama they get to their table Amir gives Jordan his shirt ask her if she's cold she's like a little he gives her his shirt then he tries to order for her so he really trying to stake his claim she says she's celibate and you say you're not with that so just leave her alone um and then Jasmine keeps trying to play matchmaker she keeps making it very awkward for everybody that's single there and then she tries to say like everybody say where you're from and what you're currently working on and she said let's start with Jordan Jordan's like I wish we could just have a conversation without a prompt first and I was like okay so Silas brings up that when he's on his reserve weekend he'll call and Jasmine's out with Jordan at two o'clock in the morning Jordan asks if Jasmine has a curfew and Bria Johnson and says in New York people don't start going out till about one o'clock in the morning Silas reveals that he and Jordan really got together during the pandemic so that means he didn't really see her go out because that was always her she used to be a Playboy bunny that girl was going out so it didn't like it's not like she changed because she was with Jordans that they got to continue once the quarantine stopped but ultimately it's Jazz's Choice that's something that she and Silas need to talk about that's not something that Silas needs to bring to Jordan because he's not married to Jordan so they will need to compromise with each other don't put that on Jordan's shoulders that Jasmine's a grown woman Preston tries to chime in or he does chime in but the weight every time he talks they keep playing organ music behind him when he speaks it goes back to Silas saying well it was just late it's like again y'all need to talk about that in y'all's house though uh Jordan is not beholden to you she can do whatever she wants and Jasmine needs to say yes or no depending on what y'all decide in y'all's house and how y'all roll that's it for now the show does look interesting it's Bravo so it's gonna be more stuff where I can tell some people are going to keep acting pretentious I don't know if anyone's living above their means trying to act like that's what they really make so I don't know that it doesn't seem that bad but um yeah I'm curious to see how they develop and You Know It Takes Two Three Seasons before you see the facade wear off of something so I do want to see where they go from here the age group is just about right for me I'm glad they're not like just out of high school or anything so yeah this would be fun to watch uh all right talk to y'all later bye
