[Music] hey hey this is Trinity at some point so there's some controversy going around about Janelle Monae I'm gonna say partially exposing her breasts because her nipple was covered by one of those little sticky things so Bossip and some other sites have reported it but I like bossip's take on it better at least their wording so we're going to read bossip's article on it but yeah um there's a video on Instagram as well where uh it shows what she did and I'm like come on y'all we've seen Lil Kim already do this it's not that big a deal I'm not sure why people are so mad about it maybe because it's Janelle Monae and that's their own personal shock value they're not ready for her to be like this but here you go this is her era of being like this okay so so Janelle Monae Sparks controversy after freely flashing her breasts during Essence fest performance the r article says we're happy Janelle Monae is much happier when she's showing skin but she Sparks some outrage when she flashed the crowd during her performance at Essence fest on Friday night the free spirited singer broke the internet with her barely their outfits to usher in the age of pleasure with her new album after the lipstick lover music video Janelle continued the topless Tour on the cover of Rolling Stone in that issue the formerly formal star explained her new all-natural aesthetic saying she's much happier when my breasts are out unfortunately viewers didn't feel the same way after nearly freeing the nip during her Essence fest performance the Glass Onion star took the stage in an oversized floral floral cape and matching Crown it's not exactly a shock that she quickly stripped down after a few minutes of performing in the Nola heat and humidity after all the singer only wore a hat in the flyer for her performance Janelle echoed her tux ERA with a black and white string bikini top shorts and hat for most of the set during yoga she defiantly flashed her breasts again okay and y'all I'll link the rest of the article so you can see what the actual comments were about it and you can also see the footage of her flashing the crowd and she has her nipple covered I just want to say that again her nipples covered y'all I don't think it's that big a deal uh is Essence fest for kids too I don't know but looking at the lineup of the other performers you think Jill Scott's not gonna go up there and and say some things and talk about some things so it can't be for too too young crowd with the other performers and then almost any rapper you name is definitely not gonna be for a too young crowd like a minor type crowd so I I don't know like it she didn't show her nipple which would be the thing of actual to me nudity at this point Janelle's been very free for a long time and I would say yeah it is a shock for people that only know her for her tux era but I think she was always gonna evolve but in her own time in her own way I don't think this will be you know maybe that's not where she stays that's just where she is now and yeah I just can't believe she's getting so much Flack for that like it's a lot more Skin showing from other performers in all kinds of ways so that's just crazy to me but yeah let me know what y'all think talk to you later bye [Music]
