Okay, mic check. Let me know >> [clears throat] >> if I'm coming through loud and clear because we got to go over this timeline. >> [clears throat] >> I got you YouTube a chance. I forget you playing commercials and stuff. >> [clears throat] >> Sorry, this is not happening. Okay. Thanks, um Okay, >> [laughter] >> thank you BRB. All right, so first we're going to go over the timeline of everything that was claimed by Mila Adams who was who was the alleged victim, um private chef to Stefon Diggs. And then it's also it's everybody's stuff. If they mention a date or time, it's in here up until you see her Well, Shy was a good friend. Mila was a horrible friend. So Yeah, but I'm going I'm all the way up to their testimony on day two. So here's our timeline because woo, I was struggling last time. All right. So, let me see if I make this a little bit bigger. No, that's too big. Okay. So we have, um background was from July 2025 to December 15th, 2025. Mila was employed as a private chef by Diggs. Mila was paid $2,000 per week and also was reimbursed for groceries. Late November 2025, there was a feud between Mila and Lindsey who I believe was employed by Diggs about an anonymous blog post cuz something got leaked to the blog. And he And he took Lindsey's side over Mila. November 29th, 2025 was Diggs's birthday cuz that date came up and there's going to be a reason why that date came up. December 1st, 2025, um the Patriots won against the New York Giants 33-15, and that's important to the defense because they were saying how good of a mood Diggs was in because they had just won uh their game. And then um mhm also on December 1st, Mila submitted an invoice for money she was allegedly owed. And it she said she was owed a total of $6,000 for the salary portion for 3 weeks, $2,000 per week she worked. And then she also claimed 3,000 around $3,100 for grocery reimbursements. Okay, that was on the 1st. On the 2nd, that's D-Day, that's when she alleged the incident had happened. >> [clears throat] >> So, now we got all the times for this day, cuz this is the most important day. All right, so Okay, on December 2nd, a little before 9:26 a.m., Diggs leaves for work in the morning before Sunny leaves his house. Sunny is his chief chief of staff, I believe. I I'm I know her, but I don't know her title. I don't remember it, but yes, chief of staff. And then at 9:26 a.m., Sunny leaves Diggs' house to go to a hair appointment and run errands, and there was a timestamp on the Ring cam for this one. So, he left right before she left, cuz they even asked her, "Why were you in the car?" She was warming it up, and then she went to go do her thing at 9:26 a.m. At 12:29 p.m., Sunny returned to Diggs' house. At 12:30 p.m., Mila texts Diggs calling him a I'm saying kitty cat, but she called him the the vulgar version of that. Um Sunny testified that she first saw Mila early afternoon of D-Day. And then around 3:38 p.m. is when Diggs returned home. And this is important to the defense because the incident could have only occurred between 3:38 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Cuz then there's people back basically all over the place. Um okay. So, Sunny saw Mela a second time around Oh, sorry. Hold on. What did I do? Oh, it was second time. Sorry, y'all. There's somewhere in here it's going to say she had seen her. Okay. I'm sorry. So, between 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunny saw Mela a second time that day. Mela asked Sunny if she purchased Mela's plane tickets to ATL. She was also walking around looking for a pen and paper to write a birthday note to Diggs, whose birthday was on November 29th. And this is December 2nd right now. Uh 4:38 p.m. Shy is Shy is the braider and uh claims claims Mela as a friend, but Mela called her a coworker. So, Shy was in New York on December 2nd texting Mela about a recipe that Mela had cooked and she wanted to try to make it at home. They ended up FaceTiming and Mela tells Shy she is not going to Miami. She's coming to New New York instead. At 4:50 p.m. the Drip Bar IV nurse arrived at Diggs's house for their appointment. It was captured on Ring Cam. Between 5:45 to 6:00 p.m. Diggs's massage therapist arrived to Diggs's house, testified that Mela came into Diggs's bedroom the first time and saw he was sleeping during the massage and she left. Then she said Mela came back into the bedroom a second time and asked Diggs um if he was going to keep the box on his bed. And I believe I got from that that was the gift she was giving him and it had like a green sticky note on it, which she was trying to write the birthday note that Sunny witnessed at the time. Approximately at Okay, so now at this point, if they're talking about the plane and all this, the incident that she alleged happened to her had to had to happen unless something comes back up about it being early morning when it happened, it had to happen when he got home at 3:38 p.m. And then he was with staff most of that time starting at Uh let's see, starting at 4:50 p.m. when her when the IV nurse came. Now, Sunny was there, so she may have heard or would have heard shouting or something, but she said she didn't hear anything. All right, so now we're on to Mila's got a plane, Sunny scheduled it to go to ATL. Um and she also include uh paid for a ride to her to get to the airport. Between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m., the the massage therapist leaves Diggs's house. And so also that means Sunny of course saw Mila before she departed for the plane. And then Diggs was scheduled to fly to Miami for a vacation and Art Basel. Basel. Mila cooked dinner for Diggs. Um that was out of order on my part. She cooked dinner before she left for her plane, obviously. The night that Mila flew to New York uh to meet Shy Charles was December 2nd, and Sunny bought her ATL ticket, but Mila changed it to go to New York because she's This is what she said, she didn't have enough money for the Uber once she flew to Atlanta. 11:45 p.m., Shy picks Mila up from LaGuardia Airport, and then they go pick up they call it Tally. Um and I believe that's Shy's friend, but all three were in that car when you see the when y'all saw the video on day one. Um they were all there cuz there was three of them. They They just did stuff together. Okay, between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. So, this is now um the morning of the early early morning of December 3rd, 2025. And Shy, Mila, and Tally went back to Shy's place in Brooklyn. So, these are more people that would have seen her face hours after what she alleged happened. [clears throat] Which is a open hand slap and choking. On December 4th, 2025, Mila gets a response from the accountant, Melissa, who said Mila had been paid for two out of the three weeks Mila invoiced uh for working in November. So, now the accountant caught 4,000 of the $6,000 that Mila requested was already paid. Per her email. On December 5th, Mila testified um that she said December 5th was the very first time she talked to Diggs about money. And owing her money. Mila said she took a lower weekly pay rate when she started working for Diggs because he said he would pay her for the season and also invest in her startup business. Mila uh texted Diggs while she was in New York on December 5th. And I believe let me see. She was texting him to ask him when he would return. December 7th, 2025, Diggs returns home from Miami. December 9th, 2025, Mila returns to Diggs's house. In her December 16th, 2025 police report, she told the officer she was only going back on December 9th to pack her things because of the incident on December 2nd. At around midnight, Mila got back to Diggs's house from her stay in New York. She tries to use a key code to access Diggs' bedroom door because she apparently, you know, they were they were friends with benefits and she had been going in and out as she pleased, but the that day the code did not work. And um when she couldn't get into his bedroom, she texted him and asked what time did he have to be at work in the morning. Then Mela goes back to her bedroom and stays the night. Now, my note is because y'all are going to see about the code changing again later, is that I put I'm not sure how she got into her bedroom this first night when she got back because later she testifies that the following day she could not access her bedroom uh either because the code was changed and it will be it'll come back up in the timeline. So, Mela texted Sunny accidentally acknowledging she already had received her $4,000 of $6,000 for 2 weeks in November because she said she had gotten paid from November 7th, 2025 to November 21st, 2025. At 2:27 p.m. Mela texts Diggs about her pay and he tells her to contact Melissa, the accountant. Mela texts Diggs asking if he was going to pay her for the week she was in New York December 2nd, 2025 to December 9th, 2025. Um that's when she she left and the incident happened. Okay, December 11th, 2026 7:44 a.m. Mela texts Sunny um asking did Sunny change the codes to Mela's bedroom door? And then at 7:52 a.m. Mela ends up asking Diggs did Lindsey change her bedroom door code because she couldn't get in her room. Diggs texted Mela saying yes, he had them changed because he didn't know she was coming back after December 2nd because of the way she was speaking in the text exchange arguing about um arguing about the trip and I believe him believing Lindsey over her. And um and okay, sorry. I think I typed that weird. But that's it. That's what they were arguing about. Mela asked Diggs for her money in front of his mom that same day which [clears throat] is December 11th and I believe Shy was there but I I'm not sure but we'll get there. But yeah, so she asking for money then as well. December 13th, 2025, Mela gets an email from Diggs' accountant, Melissa, with the subject line NDA payment about submitting proper paperwork for her employment, including an NDA, as well as receipts for the reimbursements that she was claiming for groceries. Mela is upset about having to sign an NDA, but the reason she cites in her text messages is not about an alleged assault, it's about Diggs believing Lindsay over her about who leaked information to the blogs, and she again demands the money she feels she's owed. Diggs ends up sending her $2,000 via Apple Pay and texted her um she didn't need to worry about cooking for him anymore. So, this is basically her you're fired date, December 13th. And then, Mela stayed in the house 2 days after she was fired, so she stayed until the December 15th. Then, Shy was there when Mela was fired, but it was through text um and Shy witnessed Mela shouting, this is before her being fired, I believe. >> [laughter] >> I'm going to guess it's before she got fired, but Shy witnessed Mela shouting at Diggs, "Hey, yo Steph, when am I going to get my money?" [clears throat] Um Diggs responded, "Did you speak to the accountant?" Around midnight, Shy finished braiding Diggs' hair. Around 1:00 a.m., Mela came down afterwards and spoke to Shy until about 3:00 a.m. Mela asked Shy if Diggs was annoyed, and Mela told Shy she was fired that Mela got fired. She told Shy that Diggs was going to pay, that she would sue, and it was a hostile work environment. On December 15th, 2025, sorry y'all, my voice is cracking. December 15th, 2025, Mela leaves Diggs' house 2 days after she was fired. December 16th, 2020, that should be 2025. Sorry. Okay. December 16th, 2025, Mila files a police report alleging Diggs choked and slapped her. In the report, Mila told police she left her position on December 2nd, 2025, but when cross-examined by Diggs' defense, she doubled down that she did not mean she was leaving her position, just that she was leaving for New York. December 29th, 2025, Mila's mediator, Lynette Marie, issued a money demand for $19,000, and this is from my understanding of how people how the defense attorney asked the question. Um, but it was a money demand for $19,000 that went to Diggs the same day the criminal complaint was made public. And, um, >> [clears throat] >> Mila commented that it's because he he owed her to pay out her contract plus uh pay her for her business. Uh, I think that's when she brought it up. After After the police report was made public, Mila reached out to Diggs' girlfriend. I put probably Cardi B, but they didn't say it, so I just didn't put it for sure. On January 1st, 2026, Mila sent Diggs' girlfriend a text that was later posted to TMZ. Mila told his girlfriend she was sorry, but she couldn't talk to her. She also told his girlfriend that the way the police report was written was not how she said it. So, she's already saying the report's inaccurate on January 1st before the trial, obviously. February 13th, 2026, Mila issued a public statement saying she never sought money to settle this matter. Mid-April 2026, Mila hires a lawyer for workman's compensation for an injury because, in her words, Diggs did not maintain proper insurance. The workman's comp lawyer is also the same lawyer that was sitting in the courtroom with her during trial in May of 2026 advising her on how to testify. April 30th, 2026, Mila met with prosecution. Mila met with prosecution. Based on Mila's testimony, she claims Diggs' defense attorneys advised her to get that said lawyer to assist her. Based on the response from the defense, they did not tell her that. At the end of April, Mila's workers' comp lawyer sent a demand for payment to Diggs, and I meant to put it, but it was for $5.5 million. Mila claims she was injured on the job. She also did not want to testify about it because she was under the mistaken impression that the documents sent to Diggs demanding payment was protected under her attorney-client privilege with her attorney. And then, we skip to May 4th. That was day one of the trial. We watched that, and now we're on day two of the trial, plus the verdict. Okay, here we go. So, uh we're at the witness Talia, I believe, was about to come up. Okay. Miss Moses Good afternoon, Miss Moses. >> Good afternoon. Um can you state your name and spell your last name for the record, please? Sure. My name is Natalia Moses, m o s e s. >> All right. And I'll just ask you to keep your voice up a little bit so that everyone in the court can hear. >> Sure. Um do you Do you also go by a nickname? Yes, Tally. Tally is your nickname? >> Yes. >> All right. Uh where do you live? I live in Brooklyn, New York, and I've just moved I live in Florida. I go between Brooklyn and Florida as I have a business in Florida as well. Sorry, I think I still had it sped up. Trying to get all my notes together. Let me Let me put that on normal. Okay. And uh what do you do for a living? I'm a hair stylist. Um do you work for any particular salon or on your own? >> No, I have my own business. Okay. Um do you know Shai Charles? I do. How do you know Shai? Um Shai and I met in 2018. I started off um being her assistant, helping assistant. >> Okay. Do you still work with Shy? No. All right. Um What about um Stefon Diggs? Do you know Stefon Diggs? No, not personally. Have you ever met Stefon Diggs? >> No. Is Stefon Diggs a client of yours? >> No. Okay. Um Do you know Mila Adams? I do. How do you know Mila? I know Mila through Shy. Okay. Um when is the first Have you ever met Ms. Adams? I have. And when is the first time you met her? Um I want to say December 2nd and December 3rd, around that time. That was the first time I met her in person, but I would have spoken to her on the phone on multiple occasions before. Okay. And did you talk to her um just the two of you before December 2nd? No, not just the two of us. I would we would always speak on with Shy in the middle, so it would always be on Shy's phone. So, I never spoke to her one-on-one prior to December 2nd. I see. Okay. So, um Shy and Ms. Adams had a relationship. >> That's correct. >> And then sometime and you and and Shy have a relationship. >> And sometimes the three of you would talk. That's correct. >> Understood. And and were these calls professional calls, business calls, personal calls? Personal calls. Okay. All right. Um So, what were the circumstances under which you met Ms. Adams on December 2nd? So, she said she was passing through to New York um and Shy told her well, she could stay at her house. I just came from Atlanta cuz I had a job in Atlanta and Shy told me that she would pick me up as we were coming in from the same airport. I, however, came in before um Ms. Adams, so I went to my family's house and Shy picked me up from there with Ms. Adams in the car. Okay. And where was your family's house? >> In Queens. All right. Um and that was the first time you met Ms. Adams? In person, yes. In person. Okay. Um Now, had you I take it you had been in Shy's car before? That's correct. >> All right. And can you describe her car, the outside of it? It's a white BMW then sorry AMG. Okay. Um and can you just describe the inside of her car? She has a red interior. All right. Um does she have any recording devices in her car? Yeah, she has a dash cam in her car. All right. And can you describe what that dash cam looks like? Uh it's a rectangular shape. Um she has it on the top of the um windshield. Okay. So, you can see it when you're sitting in her car? >> That's correct. All right. And did you Okay, sorry. So, this this is the she is the defense's witness. So, this is just when they first start questioning their own witness and then prosecution will come and cross later. know that that dash cam was in there? I did. All right. Um did you know that on December 2nd? Yes, I did. And you could see it when you were sitting in the car on December 2nd? >> Yes, I did. All right. Um after Shy and Ms. Adams picked you up in I think you said Queens? >> Yes. Uh what did you do after that? We went to New Jersey. And what did you do in New Jersey? We was just chilling at the house. Um we bought food and you know, girl time. We was just hanging around watching music videos and stuff like that. Okay. Um and during that time what Strange question. Were the lights on? It was. Okay. Um when you were with Shy and um Ms. Adams at the house in New Jersey, did you notice any marks or bruises or redness on Ms. Adams' face? I did not. Um could you see her neck at that time? Yes. Um did you notice any marks or redness or bruises on her neck? No, I did not. Did she complain at any point about um soreness or stiffness or um well, soreness or stiffness? No, she did not. Uh you testified Did you see her eat? I did. Did you see her drink? I did. Did she seem to have any difficulty swallowing? She did not. Oh, that's a good question. They say that question um if you're casually strolling by Mila the private chef to Stefon Diggs no more not no more she was. She said that he um assaulted her by choking her and also uh slap open-hand slapping her on the face because she was challenging him about the money he owed and he got mad about her asking for her money. The same night that and it would have had to happen I I believe in the afternoon before his uh what what y'all call them as a group? He had personal services coming in so before his personal services came the nurse and the massage therapist um he got to the house maybe an hour before they came back cuz he had came from work. So the timeline would be very short. It would be towards the mid to end of day that the incident most likely happened and then Talia that's testifying right now saw her the saw Mila the same day and she was able like they're asking her the questions now that y'all here and now she's asking about did she have difficulty difficulty swallowing? Because if someone says they were choked to the point that their airway was blocked it's going to be sore for a while so that's a really good question like was she struggling to to swallow? Did she have a hoarse voice? That's so even if you didn't see any bruising that's another thing that could have an incident could have still happened. [clears throat] Did she complain about difficulty swallowing? No, she did not. >> Or sore throat at all? No. All right. Um uh did her voice sound hoarse? No. Did her voice sound any different than it had had than it had sounded when you previously spoke with her? No. Okay, before she answers another question, thank you for the super chat Academic Try Hard. Happy Friday to you, too. Yes, I got some things I'm trying to get through for y'all, for sure. Did you notice anything out of the ordinary in her appearance or her behavior on December 2nd? I did not. Okay. Um how long did you end up spending time with Ms. Adams um in New York City? Approximately a week. Okay. Um did you spend that whole week And I'm sorry, I should have asked this question. Did you stay in that house in New Jersey on December 2nd? No, we went to Shy's house in Brooklyn. Okay. And [clears throat] did you end up staying there that night? >> We did. Did you stay there also on the night of December 3rd? I did. And um did you stay there all the way up until December 9th? I did. Okay. And did Ms. Adams stay there as well? She did. Where did you sleep in the Brooklyn house? We all slept in Shy's room. Okay. Um by all you mean you, Ms. Adams, and Shy? And Shy. Sometimes Shy would um go to her boyfriend's house, so sometimes it would just be Ms. Adams and myself. Okay. Um the I take it you um at some point woke up on December 3rd. Yes. And um what was Ms. Adams um behavior like on December 3rd? She was fine. She was bubbly. Okay. Yeah. A good personality. She didn't show any signs of anything wrong. Okay. Um did she cook for you? She made breakfast. Okay. Um and I I same question on December 3rd. It Did you spend December 3rd with her? I did. Did you see any bruises, redness, um, marks on her face at that time? No. Um, were you able to see her neck on that day? Yes, I did. Were you able to see her chest on that day? Yes, we all stayed in the same room, so we got dressed and everything together. Okay, understood. Um, and did you see any marks or bruising or redness >> No. on any of those areas? Okay. Did you see any such marks or bruises or redness, anything like that the entire week you spent together? No. Okay. Um, did there come a time when Ms. Adams asked you to take a look at her hair? Yes. Oh, can you What what was that? What how did that come about? So, I was supposed to do her hair, so I a stylist I would analyze her hair, I would lift it up just to see if, you know, the style that we was going to do. I was trying to decide on the style that we was going to do, so I did have close-up view to her neck and her hair. Okay. And in the course of lifting her hair and and um, did and looking at her neck, did you see anything? No. Okay. Um, do you remember taking a a couple of videos of Ms. Adams while you were together in New York? >> Yes, I do. Do you remember approximately when that was? Pro- possibly December 7th or 8th, around that time. Okay. Um, and I will ask Mr. Kettlewell to very smoothly, um, play exhibit eight, please. Okay, and we can just pause that. Sorry. Um, Ms. Moses, is this one of the videos that you took of Miss Adams? Yes, it is. All right. And can you just describe where you are? We were in Shara's room there. And we were just goofing around, listening to music and dancing and stuff. Okay. Um And then if you could just complete that video, please. All right. And then Mr. Cadwell, if you could play exhibit nine, please. If you could just hit pause for a second. Thank you. Um is this the other video that you took of Miss Adams? Yes, it is. >> And that was on that trip in New York? Yes, it is. >> Between December 2nd and December 9th? Yes. Okay. Um and was this close in time to the first video? Yes. Okay. All right. Mr. Cadwell, if you COULD KEEP PLAYING. UM AND WAS THAT VIDEO THAT YOU TOOK, was that consistent of how Miss Adams was being with you? Yes. Okay. Um Did anyone ask you to take that video? No. Um But Miss Adams knew you were filming her. She didn't. Okay. And the entire time that you were with Miss Adams in New York City, did she mention anything about being hit? She did not. Did she mention anything about being choked? No, she did not. Did she say or do anything that suggested to you that Steff Diggs had hurt her or scared her in any way? She did not. Okay. I have no further questions. Thank Thank you. Commonwealth Just briefly, um that New York trip, was that the first time you had ever met Miss Adams in person? That's correct. Um you said you didn't see any bruises on her. Were you looking for bruises on her? No, but she was in my face. Nothing further. Thank you, ma'am. You may step Oh, Commonwealth is dying in in the window. [laughter and clears throat] It ain't working. Oh, oh, let me tell y'all too, as I was trying to get that timeline together, it may have been one date that uh Commonwealth brought up. The defense brought up all the days I had, all the timestamps I had gotten with defense. And I don't know what their angle was. Obviously, it was not successful. That was your only question for her? Like, come on. Down. Thank you. Defense rests. [snorts] The defense rests. Oh, okay. The defense rested there. So, they're about to walk out. Let's go on ahead and skip. See what's going on. The judge Jurors enter an order. deliberations Our rules are designed to ensure that the parties receive a fair trial, and they therefore prohibit the Where is her mic? Let me Okay, I do have one thing I'll read to y'all just in case it doesn't come off clearly cuz I wrote it down. And this is they were they had to decide beyond reasonable doubt the way he was if he was guilty or not. And she There were three prongs to this Okay, so for the first one, the judge had said um the jury has to reach ver- verdict on Commonwealth must prove three things beyond a reasonable doubt to find him guilty of strangulation. Number one, the defendant intentionally applied pressure on the throat or neck of Mila Adams. Number two, the pressure was substantial. And number three, the pressure interfered with the normal breathing circulation of blood of Mila Adams. So, that I feel like especially number three hurts her because if if it was severe enough to have uh interfere with her breathing or circulation of her blood, you you'd have a little hoarse voice for a little bit on that one if it was to that degree. More than likely. I'll say that cuz nothing's 100%. Also, they had to There was another thing the Commonwealth had to prove. Um they had to prove that he was guilty of assault and battery beyond a reasonable doubt. The Commonwealth must prove three things. The defense touched I'm sorry, the defendant touched the person of Mila Mila Adams. The defense in I keep saying this The defendant intended to touch Adams or Mila. And the touching was either likely to cause bodily harm to Mila or was offensive. So, that's their kind of charge and I don't know if she's going to repeat it, but her voice is real low. from making certain types of arguments in an effort to persuade you to reach a certain result or to favor or disfavor either side. For example, the attorneys are not permitted to refer to facts that are not in evidence in this case. It's based on your memory and understanding of the evidence. If a lawyer does this, you should disregard that comment. The attorneys are not permitted to express their personal beliefs in the credibility or lack of credibility of any witness who testified in this That determination is entirely for you to make. If a lawyer makes such a comment, you should disregard that comment. Attorneys are not permitted to persuade you for or against either party by appealing to human passion or prejudice. If you become conscious of any passion or prejudice as you consider the evidence or engage in your deliberations, you must put those feelings aside and not permit them to influence your decision. If a lawyer makes such a comment, you must disregard that comment. >> [clears throat] >> All right. She Man, your mic was right there. I see it staring at her right now. Okay, we're about to go to the defense's closing arguments. Good afternoon again, ladies and gentlemen. As I said to you in my opening statement, there was no assault, no strangulation, no incident at all on that day or any other day. You didn't see any injuries. You didn't see any photographs. You learned there were no medical records, no statements, no nothing between December 2nd and December 16th. >> [snorts] >> You have not been provided with a single shred of credible evidence to determine that any assault actually occurred in the house on that day. The Commonwealth case is nothing more than the words of Miss Adams. >> [snorts] >> In my opening statement, I told you one tool to use as you go through this process is to consider how to find the truth. That the simplest answer that accounts for all the facts, that answer is the truth. And so, what I want to do is take you through some of the undisputed facts in this case. December 2nd, Miss Adams spent the afternoon talking on the phone. She got a ticket to Atlanta. She cooked Stefon Diggs dinner. We learned this morning that it was a hot dog. She went into Mr. Diggs's bedroom to provide him birthday presents. And to deliver those birthday presents. When the massage therapist was there to witness it, um I they bring up that hot dog dinner, they are being shady and I'm here for it. She's a private chef getting paid $2,000 a week and made a made hot dogs for dinner and Sunny said they looked rubbery, too. Timeline-wise, all of this, every single fact that I just mentioned, all of those would have occurred after what Miss Adams says was a violent assault that occurred sometime that afternoon. That night Miss Adams left the house at [clears throat] 7:15 and she flew to New York City. You heard that she told the police that she stayed with friends. You all heard her describe whose friends they were. But you also heard her say that she had a ticket to Atlanta purchased before she ever changed it to go to New York City. You saw videos of Miss Adams when she arrived in New York. You heard from the woman who picked her up from the airport who also saw Miss Adams when she arrived in New York. You saw video and heard from Tally Moses who spent the entire week with Miss Adams in New York. And you got to see how she looked. You got to see her face. You got to see her neck. You got to see the way she moved during the course of that week. One thing I'll say about that, Miss Adams, she might define bruising however is expedient or convenient for her, but we all know what bruising looks like. You saw the videos and you heard from the witnesses. On December 5th Miss Adams texted Stefon Diggs "Hi. Can you please approve my pay with finance? Please and thank you." That would have been 2 and 1/2 days after he violently strangled her in her bedroom. December 6th, you saw the video of her dancing. That's 3 and 1/2 days after this assault allegedly occurred. You heard that throughout the course of that week from December 2nd to December 9th, Ms. Adams didn't mention a single thing about any assault to anyone. The one thing you heard her mention was on the afternoon of December 2nd, she told Shai she wasn't going to Miami. You heard that on December 9th, she went back to the house. And I told you the details were going to be important about her going back to the house in my opening statement. She got back to the house at 11:30 p.m. alone and walked into the house. And what did she do? She didn't just go to Stefon Diggs's bedroom door and knock on it. She tried to punch in the code. And it didn't work. And those are her words. That's what she told you. None of that is consistent with a violent assault having occurred the last time they interacted with one another. Not one piece of that. And those are undisputed facts. On December 11th, Ms. Adams texted Mr. Diggs her apology. She said she was sorry she was being emo. And she didn't want him to feel that way. She didn't want him to think she was trying to quit her job. And she told you she was trying to keep her job. She was trying to get back. She also told the police 4 days later, 5 days later, that she had quit her job on December 2nd. We know that that was a lie. Not just from the fact that she actually told you that that was a lie, but from the actual evidence that you have in this case that is undisputed. That evidence goes on. She told Mr. Diggs' girlfriend that she didn't say any of that to the police. Meaning what she told the police, that she didn't accuse Mr. Diggs of assault. And that wasn't true. She also a month later told the world that she had never demanded money. And that also wasn't true. Now, more undisputed facts. Ms. Adams was paid for November. At first she didn't admit that. She ended up saying they worked it out. She got paid for two, three weeks. And we actually got an answer today on why she wasn't paid for a full month. Because she was in Tobago with Shai Charles. You heard from Melissa Goddard, Ms. Adams was paid up. The non-disclosure agreement. Ms. Goddard talked to you about that. And you heard about that from Ms. Adams. I want you to look at the text message in exhibit 4. It's on page 195. We talked about it a little bit yesterday afternoon. But this is another undisputed fact and it's very important. Because despite what Ms. Adams told the police on December 16th and told you at times yesterday on December 13th 2025 Ms. Adams says what she thinks the NDA is about. And she says "You sitting here playing in my face. 700 comments. If I told someone why it's not in the blog, you believe it, meaning Mr. Diggs, and now sign an NDA. Send me my money. You sitting here playing in my face." Ms. Adams wants you to believe she wouldn't tell Shy Charles because Shy Charles knew Mr. Diggs. That requires you to completely ignore the fact that she chose freely and willingly to go to New York to stay with Shy Charles. December 13th she told Mr. Diggs she told Stefon Diggs what she thought the NDA was all about. And it was about the blog issue. You think it might make a little sense if the NDA was about any kind of a physical assault, a strangulation that she might say to him anything. Hey. You know what this NDA is really about. Or maybe just the NDA because you assaulted me. Not a word. Before he could say he was I I held off on interrupting. Before he continues, I do want to say this. Watching Judge Milian, um she said that most people when they're writing texts or talking in the heat of the moment, they're not thinking, "Oh, how's this going to replay back to a jury?" They're just saying what they actually are thinking in the moment, which makes me also believe that had it been that she was upset about this NDA and it was about her being assaulted, she like that he even if she just hinted at it. Because um >> [clears throat] >> "You know what you did" or whatever she did. And that was, you know, when she's not trying to convince anybody anything, but it's like I know why you want me to sign this NDA, but but she doesn't. She talks about uh cuz you think I leaked something to the blog and you believe Lindsey over me and all that stuff. So. She describes why that's there. And those are her words from December 13th, and that is undisputed. Now, let's talk about the police for a few moments. Because Ms. Adams went to the police, as you heard, on December 16th. And there's other undisputed facts in this report. >> [clears throat] >> She lied to the police. She did not leave her job. Ms. Adams told you something yesterday where she said, "Well, I left my position was like in the the house, but that wasn't my job." And you heard what Officer Ellis said this morning. I said, "You mean her position as in her job?" And he said, "Of course." She told Officer Ellis that she just went back to get her stuff. And you know that isn't true. And at times she seemed to admit that that wasn't true. And you know from her own words at the time to both Mr. Diggs and to Sunny that that wasn't true. The text message that you've heard about the deletion. There's two things that I want you to pay close attention to and that I want to talk to you about in both exhibit one and exhibit two. Exhibit one, the text message that she sent purporting to be a screenshot of the argument that led to a violent assault that ended with Mr. Diggs choking her. That's what she told Officer Ellis. And you heard that from him this morning. You also heard from her that she deleted messages. And I think what she said was something like I didn't want to look bad. Or something along those lines. And if you look at what was actually deleted the words she said she was saying bet and [ __ ] were what she deleted. Which what that's what she did. She did delete those messages, right? Those are not in the text messages that she provided to Devon police. But more importantly what she actually deleted that wasn't about making her look bad or not it was right after the words I'm out of your life. And it said in ruining that [ __ ] life. And then you can actually go to exhibit two and look, there's a fairy emoji she sent. And why that's important is because as you heard from Officer Ellis this morning, it'd be important to know somebody deleted messages. It'd be important to see the full picture. And that message right there and ruining that [ __ ] life, apologies for the language, with the fairy emoji, you think that might have prompted the question, "Hey, who's that bitch?" She answered the question for you yesterday. It was Lindsey. The argument wasn't about money. You have it in evidence. And Ms. Adams later admitted that. These lies to the police, >> [snorts] >> the fact that they're undisputed, why? Look at all of those facts. They're undisputed in the record. They are all there. If you remove from those facts >> [clears throat] >> one thing, that an assault occurred, they all make sense. If you plug in that she was assaulted that afternoon before all of this happened, before everything I just read to you, none of it makes sense. Why would a person who is just strangled go down to the kitchen, chat on the phone, and not have a single mark on their face or look even remotely bothered? >> [snorts] >> Why would that same person cook dinner for the man who just did it? Why would that same person knock on his bedroom door and deliver two birthday presents? Why would she act the way she did for the next week? And then why lie about it repeatedly to the police? All right. So, the lying about it to the police and her not struggling to talk on that same day cuz that's when she was on the phone. Per her timeline, she would have been right on the phone right after the assault with Shy. I believe that's the day Shy called her to ask her about a recipe. So, I'm sticking beside no struggle to talk, lying, and that's a little gray area on that one because victims they you know, I don't know. They they don't they don't want to do too much sometimes, so it could happen. So, I'm sticking with the the there's no physical issue with her speaking and stuff like that. I think he said something else, too, but for me, I'm not judging dancing. I'm not Well, Ace Boogie made a good point. Now, he was saying if she did all if if he did all that to Sunny, then with his strength being in football, being you know, all that stuff, she may have been stiff in dancing. So, not counting out the fact that she could have still danced even if she's a victim. And yeah, lying to the cops. That's uh but yeah, there's some things if it's just about how she acted as far as looking happy, smiling, I wouldn't take that as oh, that means she's for sure not a victim cuz that's not how victimhood can happen. I mean, that's not how There's no one way for victimhood to happen, I should say. So, uh I'll let them keep going. And what ended up happening next, just chronologically, gives away the game on that. Because what you heard is that only a couple weeks later, her mediator made a demand for money. And if you plug that fact in, now it all makes perfect sense. We have provided evidence to you. We have presented evidence. We have called witnesses. As I said, we were doing so in order to give you the fullest picture of December 2nd and of what happened or did not happen. And think about that for one moment. How do you prove a negative? >> [clears throat] >> It's basically impossible, right? Pick a day 2 months ago. Account for every action that you did on that day. Every moment of your day. Great. Now prove it. Can't be done. And this trap the framers of our system, they were aware of it. And that's why it works the way that it does. The burden is on the Commonwealth to prove their case. And their case, as you have seen, is the internally inconsistent testimony of one witness. >> [clears throat] >> And that is their entire case. And tell them that tell them they were weak, too. It was a horrible weak argument. We get we get no timeline from the Commonwealth. We get no good cross-examination from the Commonwealth. We get no direct exam and good direct examination from the Commonwealth. Like it was just Why did y'all take this to Y'all That prosecutor should looked at this and be like, I don't think we could try this one. And that is not enough to meet their burden. The burden that you are going to hear is reasonable doubt. And the judge is going to tell you that that's to a moral certainty. How much would you bet on the words of Jamila Adams? You bet your own life? Someone else's? You have all of the tools in what I just laid out for you to make a credibility assessment. But it is not only that because the other thing the judge is going to tell you is you can actually take into account the way the witness answered questions behaved their demeanor. How they looked. Did they sound consistent? Did the things they say actually at least stay true internally in their own story? And one example I'll give you on that is this morning when Ms. Adams was asked about another monetary demand. She didn't answer the question. She couldn't. She wouldn't. She gave you multiple excuses. She tried to say attorney-client privilege. And when there was no response to that she said I can't answer that correctly. >> [clears throat] >> Take the way she answered questions into account. But line it up against the facts that you know that you have because that's how you got to make a decision on facts on evidence. Do we have any facts from the prosecution side? I don't know. It seems like a lot of stuff was disproven. In terms of the evidence that the Commonwealth has actually presented to you. What they have presented to you with the claim to one person. Their second witness undermined their first. And there's a reason for that. There's a reason they had absolutely nothing to corroborate this allegation, which one thing I will say about the assault and battery, she described Mr. Diggs slapping her on the right side of her face with his right hand. And she actually demonstrated it for you. But the problem is that's a physical impossibility. And the reason >> And that's what y'all said on day one. And then y'all was like, "Now, right hand on her right side?" Yeah, no. And then again, my thing is her face would have had something if he slapped her face. It would have had something. I don't know how long it would have lasted, but it definitely would have had something there for a little while. Reason I would suggest to you that that demonstration didn't go quite well is because sometimes people miss their mark. Sometimes actors forget the script. What you do not have before you is anything that you can base a firm decision on. >> [clears throat] >> Unless that decision is that the Commonwealth has not proved its case. The Commonwealth has an opportunity to speak to you after I do. And you heard the Commonwealth question some witnesses about working for Mr. Diggs. There's a number of people who were called as witnesses. We tried to be as quick as possible. It's not terribly exciting to hear a witness talk about how they heard and saw nothing. But, for a moment, stop and think and ask yourself, if you were accused of having something happen at your house on some random day, 3 weeks ago, who would be there with you? The people closest to you. It would be your family. The people who are in your house all the time. And for Mr. Diggs, we talked about that. That's staff. That's Miss Salis. That's all the people that you heard from. One thing that I want to talk about is a reason for bias. Because, when Mr. Virtue asked, I think the first witness was was uh she was Miss Salis. Mr. Diggs paid her salary. Is that right? The one witness who has the most significant financial interest in this is Jamila Adams. You heard her talk a lot about money yesterday. And that was the Commonwealth's only witness to even touch on what they claim this assault was. That's their evidence. They cannot and they have not proved this case because no assault occurred on December 2nd or as I said, any other day. And it's your obligation to hold them to that burden, and to decide the case on the evidence that you have in front of you. And that evidence provides one answer. One answer alone. And I would suggest to you that that is that Ms. Adams made this accusation as a means of trying to leverage, and humiliate, and to punish Stefon Diggs. And you heard that he [clears throat] has been living with this case and these accusations since December of 2025. And it is time to end. The evidence that you have heard that has been put before you is not enough for the Commonwealth to sustain their burden. It is your obligation to return a true and a just verdict. And the evidence that you have heard requires that you go back into that room, and that you lift this burden off Mr. Diggs' shoulders, and that you tell him and the world that Stefon Diggs is not guilty of this incident that never occurred. Thank you. All right. Yeah. Um Oh my god, I can't I don't even know what they're going to say in this closing statement. If you have not seen the prosecution question the other witnesses, it's it's cringey. Like that I'm like, "What What are you doing? What do you have? Why did you do this knowing you had the burden of proof, and there's no proof?" Good afternoon. Sorry, I want to say one more thing. I think the jury honestly decided on day one not guilty cuz they already had too much doubt. So, day two weren't really going to clear up the doubt to be beyond reasonable doubt. Uh Feels like it's been a little while since the last time I talked to you guys directly. >> [clears throat] >> So, >> [sighs] >> was Ms. Adams a perfect witness? No. She was argumentative, avoided, difficult. But, does that mean you should throw away everything she says? Are they trying to ate mouth this? They like, let me just go ahead and insult get all the insults out myself. Oh, knees weak. Our uh palms are sweaty. That's what he's doing right now. >> [laughter] >> She said, "No." I think it'd be easy for you guys to do that, but that's not your job. You guys are the jury. It's your job, your sacred duty to comb over every bit of evidence you heard, to consider it, to give it the the attention it deserves. The attention, the scrutiny, the weight it deserves. You don't have to like Ms. Adams. You don't like to have to like the way she testified today and yesterday, but you do have to give her and her testimony the attention it deserves. You heard from her about what happened in that room on December 2nd. Said he he said she said he entered the room, slapped her, put her in a a head headlock, said some things were I I I suggest if you remember how she was testifying, I think the way she was testifying to that lend some to her credibility. She uh she was taking her time. She was looking. She was trying to remember things. As my as the defense counsel predicted, one of the things I'm going to say is that Ms. Adams was the only witness you heard from about what happened in that room. You have defenses witnesses who said what happened afterwards, but if you remember Ms. Adams' testimony, she said that that was after she had an opportunity to kind of put herself together. She said she cried, she changed her clothing, she kind of started packing. The question you may be having is why would she act that way? Why was she going out and and smiling? Well, I'd I'd suggest to you that all the people she was around are people that have known Mr. Diggs long much longer than they've known her. I suggest you even consider the relationship she had with Mr. Diggs. Uh it's He was a sometimes lover, a boss, landlord. He was a athlete, a a celebrity, financially powerful, surrounded by people that were all on his payroll, that liked him. That when you suggest when I when you put that on consideration, her behavior does make sense in that it was her way of continuing on past that. And she told you that they had a complicated relationship. She said they argued all the time. So, that might also make sense as to why she text them afterwards saying, "Hey, you know, trying to make amends or or trying to figure things out." Why she gave the birthday present afterwards. In this case, you heard three four kind of things, right? You heard things that weren't evidence. The the openings, these closings, questions, things that were stricken. Those are things that aren't evidence. They can kind of give you some context, but those aren't the evidence in and of themselves. You heard the actual evidence. That was the testimony from the witnesses, the videos, photos, and you'll be able to see also all those text messages. Um the third thing you're going to hear, so things that aren't evidence, things that are evidence, and the law. The judge gave you some preliminary law at the start of the case. She's going to now, once closings are done, instruct you on the full law. I ask that you give her the same attention that you've given to all the evidence all the evidence, and you've given the same attention to both attorneys during the closing. You give the judge that attention when she reads the law. And there's a fourth a fourth thing that that you're that you're going to need to pay attention and listen to and consider. And that's each other. Uh when you guys are are done here, once I finish, once the judge reads her reads the law to you guys, it'll be your job to go into that room and deliberate on this case. Um when you go in that room, it's up to you guys how you want to run it. There's no manual, there's no guide, there's no schedule of how you guys are going to come to your decision and reach your verdict. And no one is going to make sure you're doing it one way. Um what I would suggest you guys do, and you guys can do whatever you want. This is just my suggestion to you. What I suggest you guys do is you don't go in there and just say, all right, let's take a poll right off the bat. I suggest you guys take the time, go over all the evidence. Go over each witness. Talk about each witness. Try and go at both ways back and forth for every witness, not just the Commonwealth's, defense as well. Go over every bit of evidence. Really take the time that this case deserves. And also listen to each other. Um I suggest as much you can, make sure if there's someone that's um uh hasn't that's not saying anything, make sure you get a get to hear from them as well. Um as I said at the start of this case that every bit of evidence is important and that's true. Um I'd hope that uh if you guys fairly treat every bit of evidence the attention it deserves, give the the analysis, the scrutiny for all the witnesses, all the evidence and talk amongst yourselves that you guys will come to the correct verdict and I would suggest that that verdict is the verdict of guilty on all counts. Thank you very much. Oh no. Oh my god. Yeah, I was thinking too, did prosecution put up one exhibit or were all the exhibits just the defense's exhibit? Did he ever go to the TV or he he presented the same text messages they did, I guess, but um I don't think he presented real evidence, either. So about So when you were building this, did you look over this and say, "Oh yeah, this is still strong." Or did you get did you get starstruck and be like, "Oh, an NFL player, let's go ahead and we should just do this." Cuz I don't I don't get it. Uh MJ said, "Hey Chad, if he is the prosecutor, he is practicing to get his feet wet. Has to be. This case was pitiful. This was really bad." This is really bad. Um in this case it it is what it is. We're going to get there cuz the jury gets the verdict today on the same day, so we're going to get there. Um and I'm I'm with you, Ace Moonshot. Don't double dip with employees. There's already a power imbalance. Then it just gets messy even if they don't feel, you know, intimidated by you that you work they work for you, but it's never it it's not good. Don't do it. He look like a cinnamon >> [laughter] [gasps] >> Uh yeah, the phone expert and he failed. Yeah. Okay, so let's let's go and see >> [laughter] >> I'm going to skip to the jury coming back. Jury just deliberated for 30 minutes. It's a force or instrumentality that strikes another. To prove Okay, y'all we're not going to struggle through trying to hear her again. I already told y'all what they had to prove. It was uh three prongs. I was trying to catch this clock when it started so we could see we could see how long the jury uh took their time. Okay, okay. So, let's say about three 3:10 and let's see when they come back. Shut That [laughter] was about an hour and some minutes, y'all. I think they did that just so they wouldn't get turned back around to the room like y'all have to actually try. >> [laughter] >> Okay, here we go. Court, all rise. All members back in session, you may be seated. On the record, you're on. All right, the jurors have a question. Basically, they are asking what are the three criteria for assault and battery and the three for strangulation. So, um Oh, they okay, so they can take notes on that. All right, so they're still in there. So, that was about that was a little over an hour. They came back a little after 3:10 and they left at 2:10. They got questions, hold on. Let's see here. So, we're at about what is that? 4:20? And 4:33? Let me see. [clears throat] Is that right? Yeah, 4:33. Okay. They're coming back, so I just got to I'm going to drink coffee. Defendant remains standing. All others may be seated. Madam forelady, has your jury agreed upon a verdict? Yes. On count one, strangulation or suffocation, what is your verdict? Guilty or not guilty? Not guilty. On count two, the charge of assault and battery, what is your verdict? Guilty or not guilty? Not guilty. Madam forelady, members of the jury, hearken to your verdict as the court has recorded it. Upon your oath, you say that the defendant is not guilty of the count of strangulation or suffocation and not guilty of the count of assault and battery. So say you, madam forelady? Yes. So say all members of the jury. Yes. All right, thank you. Jurors, please be seated for a moment. Everyone may be seated. Thank you. Um >> [clears throat] >> jurors, I told you during this trial and in my instructions that the verdict was your responsibility and your responsibility alone. Jurors, I want to thank each of you for your careful attention and your service throughout this trial. Sorry, y'all. Is that Mom? Who is this right here? This case has involved a heightened level of public attention. Despite that, you have remained focused on the evidence presented in this courtroom and the law as I instructed you. >> [snorts] >> That is exactly what is required and it is essential to the fair administration of justice. I recognize that serving as a juror in any case can be demanding and in a case such as this, it may have required additional patience and sacrifice. The court is grateful for the seriousness and integrity with which you have carried out your responsibilities. Now that your service is complete, you are free to discuss the case with others if you choose, but you are not required to do so. You should not feel any obligation to speak with anyone, including members of the media. If you are approached, you may simply decline. Whether or not to speak is entirely your decision. All I can say is that on behalf of the court and the parties, thank you again for your public service and you are now excused with the thanks the thanks of the court. All right. Woo, okay. I also agree with the jury. I What was it? 3 minutes into Eula's cross-examination on day one, I was like, "Aw." Cuz she said, "I don't know what a criminal complaint is." She said, "I went to go talk to the police and I told them and they gave I I went to file a report." Not that she didn't She didn't say, "I didn't mean for it to be a criminal complaint." She said, "I don't know what a criminal complaint is." And that woman is I think she's 40 or close to 40. No, like you're lying. Like so now I can't believe whatever else going to happen, but didn't even didn't even have to come to that. Them text messages hurt her. Her own way of not being able to answer a simple question of did you request money again? And it was I think it was $5.5 million. That was the last one she requested and she goes it's attorney-client privilege. Like she she destroyed this case. I don't know what When prosecution talked to her, how did y'all What was this? I just don't even know how they wasted this time. And then yes, it's terrible MJ to accuse someone of strangulation. That is serious stuff. That can ruin somebody. He has got to be more professional and keep it keep that distance and stop hiring people that he's already slept with. Stop hiring friends with benefit. I What are you doing? You're asking for complication. And in this time, technically, it's almost like he's lucky cuz she was just a horrible person on the witness stand. So just Mhm. You need to let Sunny formally hire everyone for you. They formally do that paperwork. They go through the account every time for their money because you Apple Paying her, it's just like it's an informal thing that skips over your accountant. Like no. And And then y'all said that And I still didn't see it. I watched day one again. But y'all said that he did also she said he left money on the stairs one time or something. None of that None of that. You are blurring too many lines. And I bet if Sunny had vetted her, she would have been like she's just not right for the chef position. You know what I mean? But it was personal. Moral of the story, listen to Sunny. Sunny was so good. Um Mila tried to badmouth her in another one. But when when I when we got to meet Sunny on the stand, Sunny was so I was like, can we have a Sunny? She like I think it was either Ace Moonshot or somebody else said she's like a air traffic control. She is She's juggling things, y'all. Oh Oh gosh. So yeah, shout out to Sunny. I hope she's getting paid what she's worth. She still needs a raise after this. Yeah, Wacko says Stefan is breathing and tearing up. He's He lost a lot from this. I don't know if he did this or not, but this case was bad. It was bad. I This is what I'm going to tell you. Nothing is 100% sure, but I'm 99.99% he didn't do this because of the physical part. Just what you'd be limited on doing when stuff like that would happen. And then also the heat of the moment part where she didn't bring up the assault on why he was suddenly motivated to have her sign an NDA. And honestly, I don't know if he told her to sign one. He hired a new accountant that does all that paperwork, too, and she saw it was missing from uh Mila's paperwork. But bad timing, but she didn't say anything. Yeah, he lucked up, Kim, cuz people's lives get ruined over this. Even if she didn't practice long enough, she kept evading judges' instructions. She did have She was very hostile. She deliberately, repetitively disobeyed the judges' instructions. She was talking to the defense cross as if it was like a They was out in the street somewhere. Like, no, you have to answer these questions that she asked. Or you have to pre- you know, I don't know I don't know if she plead the fifth or not, but you you you can't do what you did. Like, she she stopped it and she acted like a an elder that wanted you to acknowledge them. She was like, "What's your name again?" And just doing weird manipulative stuff. And she still wouldn't answer to like, "All I need is a yes or no." And she would not She refused to do it. She could do it, but she refused to. She was like, "I'm not I can't answer that without explaining." And even her explanations, when they got struck from the record, they were horrible anyway. You should have just not explained and said yes or no. Okay, so yeah, I missed that part twice. Juggling all them characters. Yes. I want I know Sunny can ruin my life, too. She did instantly. She tried to clean it up with oh, I'm going to have to say a bad word. They don't care about the bad word. It's all the other stuff you doing. But all right. That's it for this one. I'm going to go take my notes on Dr. Cheyenne Bryant. And I'll see when I can see y'all again. All right, y'all. I enjoyed this. This was a good one. We still have to finish the pastor one, too, so I'm glad that we got this one out the way cuz I jumped the gun on picking this one up. Y'all thought we were going to see Lindsey. I did think we were going to see Lindsey. All right, y'all. See you soon. Bye.
