I don't drink nothing. >> Why was there a mention of that though? >> I don't know. I went, like I said, when [ __ ] got like when everybody started brawling, I ran out of there. I literally ran out. Yes. I got scared as I ran out. >> You did not have a gun. Nobody ever had a gun from your >> No. And they ran up on her. The lady ran up on her. >> What was that lady? What does she look like? >> She was a bartender. But what does she look like? >> I don't know. >> She's clear valid. >> I'm going to go get your phone. Okay. I'm going to close the door and I'll come back. Another officer spoke with the woman and she repeated the same story, insisting she never took part in the fight and had left as soon as things started getting tense. >> She already kind of let you know why all this is happening. >> No, I don't like I know the fight at the bar, but I was in the park that I was getting it and I ran away when stuff got hectic. Like I don't even fight. Like I'm in nursing school. I was telling her I have kids like registered nurse like we don't do none of this. The lady ran up on her and then got in the middle. Our baby daddy got in the middle and then everybody started literally fighting each other. >> Like everybody started beating each other up. Like I don't even know why or like what. >> But you're okay. >> Yeah. >> Is okay. >> I don't even know. They were punching her. There's like multiple people punching her. I don't even know. >> Was >> they [snorts] threw her to the ground? Everything. >> Not the baby daddy. Was it? >> Who? >> Beat her up. >> Yeah. >> Oh, no. No. He was trying to stop her like from getting beat up and then some dudes started punching him. A bunch of dudes actually started punching him and they took him to the ground and he got shot in his leg. So like he's not the strongest, [music] you know, like with his legs. So they like threw him to the ground and stuff and were punching him. >> Think they knew him. >> Yeah, they knew him. One of them did, but they they were just talking. They were just fighting. So I'm confused. I don't know. >> Okay. >> So I'm going to let her do all the explaining. And I mean you already you already know kind of why we're >> I do not want to be arrested. >> You're not there's there's no I have no reason to believe. But do you understand how when you blow a red light and you don't stop for a car? >> But I was forced to. >> Wow. >> People in the car. >> There's only one person in the car. >> There was two. >> When did he jump out? When you were at the dead end. >> I don't even know. That's how chaotic it was. I don't even know. I was being yelled at by everybody. Like I I I always stopped the police. I'm not even like this. Like I don't even know. I didn't even drink tonight. Nothing. So, >> no smoke, nothing. >> So, to help us help you and everybody else involved cuz you're saying that all you guys are basically >> So, whatever. Where's >> Who's your baby daddy? He was in the car with him. >> I don't know where he jumped out, >> but he did jump out. >> Yeah, I don't know where >> he had firearm. >> No. >> Did somebody at the camera >> cuz that's why we're all >> No, I didn't see anybody. >> Stop. dudes were just all running up on him and stuff and >> he was saying stuff to them, but I don't know what he was saying. I literally ran away when stuff got hectic >> at the place. I literally ran into the taco place. I was scared like I don't do no fighting stuff. >> She's video trying to see if she's really like >> Can I just uncip to show you? >> Yeah. Hold on. >> Am I being arrested tonight, please? >> Right now, you're being detained. Okay. Cuz we're trying to investigate everything. >> I'll tell him. I'll tell y'all whatever. I just cannot I be I got to give that. >> Don't right now. Don't answer. >> Can I just text my dad cuz he has my kids right now. I'm just going to say >> just tell him you were You don't have to tell me anything aside from hey, I'm going just be a little bit. Okay. And then if something escalates, then you can fully disclose. >> I'm just saying I'm talking to them. Let me tell her to stop. >> Please don't wrestle me. Please. >> I'm trying not to. again. I'm asking you to please like do what I'm asking you to do. >> I'm trying to find a face picture. >> Oh, wait. I'm going to get a I don't want my kids in there. >> So, no. I'm The reason why we're taking this is not for your kids. Okay. Is to get a face picture of him. >> Are you guys going to tell him I told him? >> So, he's already involved. >> Yeah, but I'm saying like I don't want >> I don't want my name being mentioned >> about what? like that. I gave information. >> No, this is just about you giving me the video so that I know fully everything that's going on. >> Stressful. >> Okay. >> Yes, I understand. >> If you >> I just never been in this type of situation. >> Call Clark. >> I'm be honest with you. You might get a couple tickets. >> Okay. As long as I don't get arrested. >> There's something we got to That's something we have to figure out. >> I'm being honest with you. That's something that we have. >> But here's also the thing. I don't know if anybody has asked you already. What? >> You saw me pull into that. >> I told you why. I told you why. But you when you you say you're a registered nurse, right? You're going to school. Register nurse. >> I didn't want to get like one of them or something. They were being like so loud. >> The officers let the woman explain her side. But eventually, one of them pointed out that she had still helped her boyfriend get away from the scene. >> You would know if somebody jump out of the car, so like >> No, I don't. I was driving past. Please don't be rude. I've been cooperating everything. I'm telling you the truth. I'm telling you the truth. I don't know when he jumped out. What do you want me to say? >> Right. >> Yes. I never said he wasn't. I never said he was uh left a long time ago. Like I gave you a picture of him. I'm cooperating. >> Where do you think you went? >> I don't know. I don't know. He could have. I don't know. >> Like you're kind of asking like a question that I don't know. >> I've never been You can sit here with her. She doesn't have cuffs. I took them off to you. Fortunately, I do have to put you back in cuffs cuz you're back here. If anything changes on just being detained, I'm going to be straight forward with you. It's one of these guys. But back here, I hear you. And I wouldn't want to be in your position either. Yeah, I hear you. But unfortunately, you did drive away. Okay. Something that is an arrestable offense. >> You can't just flee from the police, especially when there's investigation happening. I know you're scared, but >> I didn't even know like >> like what? I didn't even know. I'm not even going to lie. I don't even know. I'm going to do this. >> I'll be back in a little bit to check on you. Okay. Otherwise, I'm going to just crack the the window. If it is that you just need fresh air, I can do that for you. >> All right. All right. Sorry. Sucks. Without manpower, we got to keep shutting the door. So, you can't run on us. I don't think you're going to run. I know you're being nice. One of the main things that's that's hindering us right now is because we all involved but now he's not here. So we're just if we could talk to him and get his side of the story and everything checks out, we're all gone. >> So at what point did he get out? >> Like literally right over here. I told him that I have nothing to hide. Like I literally telling them everything like >> And that's what you told me to last time. I'm just trying to Where do you think he would have run though? I >> I don't even know. I'm being honest. I don't even know cuz he doesn't live over here. So I don't even know. Okay. >> You think he's got his phone on him? >> No, I don't think I think they stole his stuff at the bar because he he ran back inside and was like, "Give me my stuff." >> Part of the call note said the male some male >> or somebody came back inside with a gun. >> Is there any chance? >> I just told you I went to the taco place. >> I didn't see what happened after my video ended. I was scared. I don't do all this fighting and stuff or yelling. so compliant with you. I do everything. >> I appreciate that. But again, you committed multiple >> traffic infractions, okay? On top of the fact that I tried to pull you over. >> I need to get my baby. >> Here's the thing. I tried to pull you over over here at Prince Charles cuz I think that's forced and threatened. I mean, >> but and I to get punched when you are still fleeing. >> I know, but I'm I'm scared. What do you want me to do? >> It's still considered >> I've been in a domestic violence relationship. I have PTSD. Someone someone said to this I would never like I have proof. I've been here and everything is you're going to get released. >> What? Not tonight. >> It's going to be tonight in a couple hours. There's nothing else in your background. So I don't see why we wouldn't be able to release you. >> Okay. >> But unfortunately you do have to >> I need to see my phone before I go. Please. My babies. I cannot >> talk to them once at the station. >> She's drunk. Of course she's going to tell you what what sounds good. What the? She was holding down my leg to keep going. She did not want to stop cuz she's a registered nurse. That's all she kept saying. >> That's why too I'm saying that I only have you guys' statement. Both of you, I have no evidence to show that what you're telling me is correct. And also not here. If he was to say, "Yeah, I forced her to continue to go." Like he's the one that would be getting all the charges. >> Well, it was her all in my ear. She was next to me holding them everything. >> We have to go. Okay. You're scared. You're going through that. But again, I have to also do my job and investigate. >> And when I don't have evidence, concrete evidence to show that what you're telling me is correct. >> Trying to make it sound like I'm just sitting here trying to lie to you best to like >> Some of us have different ways how we talk. Okay. Sorry. >> Everything I know. Like I don't know what else to say. >> I'm going to close the door. We're going to make our way over there so we can get done with this. Okay. All right. And then over there we can make phone calls. What about me? >> You did the fleeing, girlfriend. I already told you. >> Because I was forced to. Oh my goodness. >> The woman was charged with resisting arrest and fleeing and eluding. A nurse's attempt to protect her boyfriend ends in resisting and fleeing charges. Next, an uninvited guest refuses to leave and tries to talk her way out of arrest. >> This bag here, >> please do. On December 17th, 2023, Key West police officers responded to a rental property after an occupant reported that an uninvited, heavily intoxicated guest was refusing to leave >> a few times last night. She wanted to come on the porch, but um they the first time they didn't give her trespass warning. >> Y >> she came back. She's been belligerently drunk. Even before she's been here, I mean, she's I I told her uh before she flew down here, she told me she was going to fly. I said, "Please don't come down here." >> Okay. She showed up anyway. I I didn't let her stay here. She's spend the night at a hotel. >> Where's she at now? >> She's inside the house. >> How's she getting inside? >> I You let her in? >> That's where I let her in. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Um but I've been asking her repeatedly to leave. Um you know, last night it was raining like crazy and everything, but I I trying to convince her to please get a hotel room. The the first officers that came here said, "You you can't be here. You need to get a hotel room or something." Um she refused, but they let her go. She started walking. Um, she came back, I don't know, about an hour later or so. I called again. I, you know, I have my doorbell camera. I see her on my doorbell camera. It alerts me, you know, with motions detected. So, you know, without, without confronting her anything, I called again. They they grab her. Um, they they tell her they give her trespassing warning this time. I spoke to one of the officers. Didn't do it the first time. Um, about two more hours come goes by. Uh, and I I start hearing a commotion outside. I look, she's asleep on the stairs. like she's like like laying on the bottom of the stairs, have her suitcase down there and [ __ ] Um and she refused to leave. I called again and but this time by the time the officer showed up, she was hiding somewhere in the alleyway. She called me. Um so she, you know, she refused to leave. Um >> so couple hours later, she's back again. Um, you know, this time now she's banging on my door. I call again. Um and this time for whatever reason is and I'm calling the non emergency, you know. uh by calling on emergency number if the uh dispatcher gets on. She says, "Is this an emergency?" Like she said, I I said, "Well, no, it's not an emergency. Can you hold?" I said, "Yeah." She I'm on hold for like 20 minutes plus and I, you know, I'm like falling asleep, but it's like 2:00 in the morning. I I let go of the phone. I try to go back to sleep. She's banging on the door again. Um finally, I let her I open the door. I'm like, "Listen, just just you can crash on the couch. Just please don't bother me." is after the police came out and you gave him a she was issued a trespass warning. You let her back in. >> I mean, I I I couldn't I don't I didn't know what to do. I'm like out of my mind at this point. I wake up this morning and I tell her, "All right, it's morning time. You got to go now." I I I gave her like till 8:00 to sleep it off and she's refusing to leave. >> Okay. >> So, I don't I don't know what my options were. >> Just stay right here. So, she's inside. She's asleep. >> No, she's I last I saw she was sitting on the couch. >> Okay. Just stay outside. I'm My partner just got here. I'm not going to go talk to him. >> As the officer approached the woman and requested details, her evasive denial heightened the tension, leading to immediate enforcement action. >> Was issued a trespass warning. >> But even even if she was, you let her back in. >> What What can be done? Like I >> I can >> you can ask her to leave again >> and then issue her a trespass warning. And if she comes back, she's going to go to jail. >> Okay. >> Unless you let her come back. >> Yeah. If you let her come back in, >> I'm not taking her to jail. That's on you. >> I understand. I understand. Right there. >> This bag here. >> Please don't do this. I'm not I don't want to do this. Like, >> let's go. >> It was just a heartbroken situation. >> Well, guess what? You had your every opportunity to leave. >> I want to leave down the stairs. >> No, I'm not. >> Matt, you want to have me walk her DOWN THE STAIR? STOP IT. Damn it. Jesse, please stop this. >> All right, here you go. >> I just don't want her to fall. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> You called the custody, right? >> Yep. >> Okay. >> I mean, >> he didn't do this to you. You did this to yourself. >> Okay, I get that. But he told me I could stay at the house. >> Yep. And then he asked you to leave this morning. I showed up told you to leave and you refused to leave. So guess what? >> But I just said that this is because I like was upset. I don't I will give you my ID. I don't care. >> Well, the refusing to leave is why you're going to jail. The additional charge is because you didn't give me your ID. >> I will give you my ID. >> Yeah. After I put handcuffs on you. I can't give you my ID. I'm not a bad person. You're still going to jail. I'm a doctor. >> Wait, you're still going to jail? >> I am not. Please, >> can I just give you my ID, please? Like, I will give it to you. I will give it to you just fine. >> You're still going to jail. >> Why? >> For trespassing. How many times do we have to go over this? >> I wasn't trespassing. >> He asked you to leave. That is why you refused to leave. That is why he called us. When I showed up, I told you you had two options. Leave or go to jail. You said take me to jail. So now you're going to jail. >> Please don't do this. Please. Please. Please. I will give you my ID. I will. >> Your ID has nothing to do with the situation right now. Do you have any pockets in this? >> I will give you my ID. Let me turn my car. Yep. cover that comes off. It's totally gone. It should be on. >> Where's your idea? that now. So, I'm just >> Why does it matter now? >> Okay. Well, you said you would give it to me. >> I SAID I WOULD IF I WOULDN'T GO TO JAIL. >> And I told you you were still going to Okay, that's fine. I'll find it. Cuz we have to go through your belongings anyway to make sure you have no weapons. >> Matt, you going to grab her stuff? >> What's that? >> You're going to grab her stuff? >> Yeah, I'll go grab it. >> Okay. >> I told you I would give you my ID. >> And I told you that is irrelevant right now. That's just an additional charge. No, I >> I literally just asked you for your ID and you told me no. >> I said I will give it to you. I will gladly give it to you. I am telling you that right now. >> Then the woman recounted a conflicting narrative that further complicated the situation. >> All righty. >> We're going to take her to jail for trespassing cuz when we told her to leave, she refused. >> So, could you um carry these two things at least just down to the bottom of the stairs for me? >> Don't know anyone here. I'll go through. Do you have room in your trunk? >> Yeah. >> I get to interview him. He [ __ ] gave me drugs and he gave me drugs. [music] >> He gave me drugs and he me >> what happened. Did Can you tell me what happened to you? >> I mean, I don't know because drugs. >> Why did you unbuckle your seatelt? >> Just because I didn't want to be like secured like that. >> Okay. Well, you're going to have to wear your seatelt, so I'll put it back on in a minute. So, talk to me. Tell me what happened. >> Yeah, he >> You tell me what happened. >> I mean, he gave me I don't know what drugs they were exactly. Maybe with GHB. >> Mhm. When was this? >> Last night. >> Last night. >> Yeah. And then he like tried to kick me out after that and he was calling the cops on me and I didn't do anything wrong. >> Keep your feet in the car. >> And I will go to someone else's house. What's >> What's in there? >> Oh, it's just a dog pill. >> A dog pill? >> Why do you have a dog pill? >> Cuz I'm a veterinarian. >> A dog pill for what? >> It's just an antibiotic. This is for your pet. >> Okay. So, you're saying you I need I need to know what happened. If you if you want to talk about it and pursue charges. >> No, I don't want to pursue charges. I just want to like go to someone's place that like I feel safe. >> Okay. Well, we're past that right now because you're going to jail for trespassing. Okay. >> I didn't trespass. >> Okay. We've been over this. He asked you to leave. Okay. Hear me out. I'll explain it to you very calmly, but you have to listen to me and I'll explain to you why you're going to jail. Okay. He let you in last night. Yes. Right. He asked you to Hang on. You don't have to do this. >> Okay. If Put your feet back in the car. >> You don't have to >> put your Please put your feet back in the car. I I'm losing I I'm about to lose my patience with you. >> You don't have to do this to me, though. >> Yeah. This is happening. Okay. No if ends, buts about it. This isn't a debate. Okay. I'm explaining to you why so you understand. You're intoxicated. I can tell that. So I know you may not completely understand. He asked you to leave. You refused to leave. >> He did not ask me to leave. >> He asked you to leave this way. >> No, he didn't. Okay. >> He did not. >> Okay. >> Don't take Turn that way so I can put the seat belt on, please. >> He did not ask me to leave. Well, she doesn't want to press charges and doesn't want to talk to me about what happened. >> The alleged >> Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, I, you know, obviously documented by the supervisor. >> The officer returned to the owner to conduct a thorough investigation and gather additional details, heightening the suspense of the unfolding situation. [snorts] >> Police department. Oh, >> hey. What's going on, man? Do you have your ID on you by chance? >> Yeah, absolutely. >> So, I I just want to make sure I got everything right. So, what time did she come over here last night? >> Uh, the last time when I actually let her in the door, probably was about 2:00 in the morning. >> Okay. And what happened when she got here? >> Uh, well, when she when she got here, uh, she started knocking on the door, like banging kind of banging on the door. Um, I was worried that my neighbors are going to be disturbed. obviously 2:00 in the morning. I I come to the door. I open it up. I go to eat. Um and I close the door. I called the police. Um and that's when I was on dispatch with a non-emergency number. And um like I said, I was on I I told them it wasn't an emergency. They put me on hold. I was on hold for like 20 30 minutes or something like that. You know, pretty long time. And I I was getting really sleepy. Saw him up the phone and I was just like, you know what? she could just sleep on the stairs for all I care. Um, so I was started to go lay back down and she started banging on the door again. >> Okay. >> At that point, I opened the door and I I tried to rationalize with her. I was like, "Listen, like you're going to end up going to jail. If you keep coming here, you can't come here." Uh, and she was like, "Please, it's it's cold and rainy. I don't have anywhere else to go." Um, and I I guess I kind of let her talk me into sleeping on the couch. Okay. >> Fine. If you sleep on the couch, but in the morning when you wake up, you have to go. Like, that was the agreement. >> Yeah. You said you it was about 8:00 a.m. You you gave her till 8:00 a.m. >> I thought it was like 8:00 a.m. Let's wake up and I'm going to ask you to leave. You know, I figured by then maybe she would have slept off her drunkenness and maybe been a little more reasonable. Um yeah, that wasn't the case. Like I don't know. She was drinking in the middle of the night. I have like a little bar in the corner with, you know, >> or we found beer can like half drank beer cans in her suitcase. So >> you're [ __ ] me. Oh my god. That's That's wild. Um, so yeah. So she >> So she went to sleep on the sofa. >> Yeah. >> And then what? Like >> you guys didn't talk or anything like that in between? >> I went to my bedroom. I went to my bedroom. I locked the door. I went to sleep. >> Um, didn't feel asleep very well. You know, I could actually hear like kind of walking around in in the house, too. But I didn't, you know, I whatever. I I didn't bother. Um, I just wanted to sleep at that point. So I wake up in the morning. Um, I I talk to her. I tell it's it's time to, you know, pack up your [ __ ] and go. Um, she refused. She got on the phone with her sister. Um, I talked to the sister, too. She hands me the phone and I talked to the sister. The sister is trying to be really reasonable. She said, "Listen, there I know she has a flight tomorrow, but there's a flight today at 5:00. I'm going to try to talk her into booking that flight and and getting her car." And I said, "If I told her, if you book this flight, I will let you stay here until the time, you know, until a couple hours before the flight, and I'll personally drive you to the airport." Uh, she refused that. She said, "I'm not going to do I said, "Well, your other option is to get a hotel then and stay the night and and leave on your flight tomorrow." She says, "No, I refuse to do that. I want to I'm going to stay here." I said, "You can't do that." Her sister was even trying to talk since her saying, "You can't do that. It's not your decision to make. This is his apartment." And and >> so this was all this morning when you asked her to leave and she refused. >> Okay. >> Yeah. So that's that's when I told her again, I was like, "If you don't leave, I'm going to I have no choice but to call the police again. I don't want to do this, but you're leaving me no choice." She said, "Fine, call them." Fine. So I went here, sat on the porch, and called them. And I sat here until you showed up. >> So there was nothing happened between you guys last night? >> No. >> No interactions, no nothing. No nothing sexual, nothing anything like that. >> Okay. Cuz I'll be honest with you, okay? She's alleging that you gave her drugs last night. >> You're [ __ ] me. >> So just I'm just giving you the heads up. >> Yeah. I first of all, I have no drugs to give her. >> Okay. >> She has a weed pen, but I mean that's about the only thing I'm aware of. I don't know where she's been all night cuz she's been leaving and coming and leaving and coming. Um, she said that she went to this guy's house named uh last a real estate agent. >> What's the What's a good phone number for you? >> Okay. All right. Um, if I got any other questions for you, I might be getting you a call back. >> Understood. So, all right.
