baby I am not ever trying to use this I don't even know if I was tempted to use it anyway but let's get into this story [Music] okay the neighborhood talk is reporting um about ozympic okay it says an investigation has recently found that ozympic a popular weight loss drug is causing users to show distressing side effects one being stomach paralysis the injectable medication is widely known to Aid patients with diabetes but has seemingly become a fan favorite for those without the condition since its release in 2018 although there has been a shortage of the drug according to CNN at least two patients have ended up with paralyzed stomachs after using Olympic their stomachs are paralyzed Joanne or Joannie Knight 37 described the toll the drug has taken on her life since then I wish I had never touched it I wish I'd never heard of it in my life Knight said this medicine made my life hail so much hell it cost me a lot of stress it cost me days and nights and trips with my family it cost me a lot and it's not worth it the price is too high Knight and the second patient Emily Wright both claimed they started taking the drug a year ago to control the fluctuation of their weight other side effects stated from the drug including vomiting multiple times a day loss of appetite and feelings of extreme illness both women were diagnosed with gastroparesis along with paralyzed stomachs ozympics parent company Novo nordis defended the drug on their behalf in a statement explaining that the most common adverse reactions as with gops are gastrointestinal related so what is gastroparesis oh I'll tell you okay gastroparesis means stomach paralysis it's a condition affecting the nerves and muscles in your stomach it interferes with the muscle activity that moves food through your stomach and into your small intestine when your stomach muscles and nerves can't activate correctly your stomach can't process food or empty itself as it should this holds up your whole digestive process people with gastroparesis or gastroparesis have uncomfortable symptoms during digestion and they can also have long lasting side effects they might have low appetite and trouble meeting their nutritional needs or trouble controlling their blood sugar when food finally passes from the stomach it may not pass completely and may leave some behind this can develop into a hardened solid Mass called a bizarre on top of that y'all diabetics need this drug that's been a shortage that was created because many people wanted to take the drug for weight loss there's also something going around called ozymbic face and that's a side effect as well from this drug you should Google Olympic face so you can see it if you are not diabetic in my opinion stay away from this [Music] um
