came back from the doctor's office so all right well I'm like I said I'm Deputy slope work for the Sheriff's offage Traffic Unit reason I stopped you is your tags and you're at 20 M hour over the speed limit on Hunt you're 65 and a 45 well that's what you were driving and so was everybody else I was just keeping up with traffic well you actually in front of you were the number one car in front of traffic so you're in front of traffic and you actually started out in the right lane and you accelerated past the car in the left lane so I can get over turn here at 20 mph over the posted speed limit yeah here I just got my admission it doesn't happen every week it might not even happen every month but occasionally I will deal with someone and when I get back in the car Sam's like this guy an annoys me and when that happens you get great episodes like this like Sam just puts more heart and soul into a video when I deal with a driver that's just difficult um and this is a prime example of that get my tags done my car hardly drives I work from home and I had to go to the doctor's [Music] office and I know my tags are expired but I had to go go to the doctor's office even in the parts that Sam fast forwarded as I'm standing at the window of this guy he's like why' you go to the doctor and I doctor's appointments for this and doctor's appointments for that like I get it man we all have doctors right we all go to doctor's appointments for whatever is your issue but you can't just drive dirty through Santan Valley at 20 mph of the speed limit with super expired registration and just go why I to go to the doctor and think that I'm just going to go oh well that's a great reason to totally disregard and violate Arizona State motor vehicle law go about your way citizen so instead of going to AZ instead of them sending you the emails uh to go ahead and register they don't do that anymore they they stop doing it so my truck my Dodge was registered 2 years last year the cuz see I got an email this year I didn't and neither did any of my folks or my brother so what you're saying is that MVD is simply requiring you to be a responsible adult I was just thinking that okay it's harder for some people than it is for others every time you walk by the back of your car you could look there and go ah it says 22 that was last [Music] year like I said my car hardly drive cuz I work from well let me tell you it'll drive it'll drive up to 65 M hour all right I'll let you look for that I'll be back oh that was like a it was like a excuse tsunami that I just got hit with I was like I know my registration expired they didn't send me an email and when we went back for a doctor's appointment I was going with the flow of traffic it was there was like one iota of anything in there it was like hey man look I was speeding cuz I just wanted to get home everything that just happened that it was like it was like four or five minutes of just excuses trying to talk his way out of speeding and expired registration for 4 months oh hey oh I'm sorry here's my proof insurance and the car don't move unless I got to go to the doctor and then I had to go to the doctor and I got to get back to work you see another deputy walks up on the right side while I'm standing at the driver's side door um super common for us to back each other up um I was probably on this stop for a little bit longer than normal um because that guy was just hitting me with I was being I was drowning in the excuse tsunami um so that other deputy comes there and it's super normal for us to back each other up uh it's an officer safety thing um so that's why he really didn't do anything he was just there should things go south or I need to arrest someone or um maybe I want to search a vehicle and I want to pull that person out of the car that's what that that secondary officer is for so it's totally normal um I back other guys up they back me up it's it's just part of law enforcement keeping each other safe all right so your information's up here taking me for this meeting oh yeah oh absolutely oh come on oh no no I'm serious no oh yeah it's already right here speed greater than reasonable and prudent it's right there it's actually the very first thing right up at the top what don't give me a ticket for speeding oh I'm going to give you a ticket for speeding yeah that's going to happen and then oh no no it's you're welld deserving of it oh no I don't change my mind I nope not even a little bit so well that's cuz you drive that f car back there that's that's exactly why you speed all over the place I see you in that car speeding everywhere that sometimes I it's the only way I catch up to people is my speed I just speed to catch up to you it's physics you have to all out know oh man it's it's the law why are you doing it so I like the I knew you were going to stop me for that like if you're driving around with an illegal window tint and you obviously you watch the videos that are created by the P Sheriff's Office knowing that I'm out here fairly aggressively enforcing Arizona Motor Vehicle law with the entire rest of the Traffic Unit he'd probably be like hey man take that stuff off my windshield so I don't get bugged and he's also at 62 mph and a 35 I know he's speeding I'm going to give you a warning for that all right I'm going to document I put it on there um you're going to get a citation for Speed like I said man you're you're moving at a good clip all right the reason I stopped you is I locked you at 60 in a 45 on Hunt hway there and you got got to wear your seat belt wearing a seat belt is kind of a big deal I just pulled out but my whole family Works in law enforcement so people in law enforcement like me don't want their family members trying to use the fact that they've chosen this as a profession to try to get out of a ticket if you have a Keen Eye you notice that while I'm sitting here talking about this lady dropping law enforcement trying to get out of the ticket that she deserves um you notice that there's bars in the window behind me that means that Sam saved a stop from when I was in that that marked pickup truck and put it into this week's episode so that uh that was a saved um you know stop that uh Sam kind of kept on The Cutting Room floor and then put it into into this episode and all the rest of them you can see that I'm uh I'm driving my my regular onmark When You're 15 M hour above the speed limit and not wearing your seat belt any idea why I'm going have stop you today I'm sure because they checked a text from my boss oh it was more than a check it was from like way down on anel south of Empire all the way up around the corner there over the railroad track through the woods halfway to Grandma's house can see your driver's license please I don't have my wallet on me it's at the house fix the bike the bike is registered and has insurance on it okay do you have happen to have that insurance I don't actually all right my phone okay do you have anything no registration paperwork did any sort of identification I wish I did all right so any idea why I might have stopped you I had two totally separate unrelated reasons in Arizona you have to have an endorsement on your license for driving a motorcycle you need to be more trained than just someone that rides a car um I have I work with guys all the rest of the guys in my squad are Motors um I'm not because I don't like motorcycles I don't want to ride one um but the guys that even ride for a living that are professional motorcycle riders get into wrecks um and those wrecks are they're unforgiving but this guy with with no helmet no eye protection no experience riding a motorcycle um is ill prepared to enter the world uh and drive on two wheels so if you're going to ride a motorcycle um have some pride in the fact that you're doing something that's knowingly dangerous with knowingly less protection and take a good motorcycle class have a motorcycle endorsement be a good defensive driver um do all the things to keep yourself safe so I don't have to take an accident report uh for a fatal when you crash in the someone oh God I can only name one okay what's the one you can name I can name the 45 35 well it's 35 and you're doing 52 when we passed each other yep so that's reason number one number two you notice how you're squinting as you're looking into the into the sun yeah do you know why you're squinting no I have protection cuz you don't have any sunglasses on no right well you don't have a windshield and you don't have any eye protection as required by Arizona wall when you're operating a motorcycle I really I don't need one you are incorrect now if you had a mo if you had a windshield to protect your precious eyes then you would need them um but since you don't have a windshield you need something to keep bugs out of your eyes so you don't crash your bike so do you have a motorcycle endorsement I it's on my license okay no you do you have one on your license not that I know of no I don't think so I don't I never took the class for it to go class okay but you know you need one but I know said you did I I've read online that I don't need one unless I was writing out past midnight or if I had a passenger with me that's when I would need the endorsement that's what I would de section you you have been you have been the recipient of very poor information I agree with that like on a on a whole bunch of different different topics here there's so many violations that you committed that I couldn't fit them all on one citation so all the ones that I can't fit on one citation I'm just going to give you a warning for you don't have any sort of license on you so if you were to get into a collision without your help and with no identifying features I'd have no idea who you were that can't be safe huh and obviously I'm tied up with a violator I can't just you know stop one stop and jump onto another um but there's a a weird kind of developing law in Arizona for electric bikes um obviously electric cars fall into the same category as regular cars but electric bikes don't fall into the same category as gas powerered bikes so there's this weird thing I'm I'm not as up on it uh probably as I should we don't have a whole ton of them in in panau County so um I haven't run into a lot of instances where I've needed that information um but it's it's it's coming she drove by me and it looked weird but I didn't I didn't think that I could do anything about it nothing have a good day see that's electric so it doesn't apply you can walk this bike home sir right and make sure you take a motorcycle class you'll learn all the laws so you're not trying to interpret Arizona motor vehicle off
