okay
what's going on what happened I honestly
like I don't even know I turned around
I'm trying to go I lived like like not
even two blocks down okay on 52 Center
Street angle Quest okay and you're
coming down this way and you were trying
to turn around I was trying to turn
around uh-huh and they just got like I
don't even know that's my car okay all
right you can like okay all right where
are you coming from Cresco Cresco and
you were coming down the hill no you're
coming from there I was trying to make a
left okay I don't know what happened
that's my car okay my dad is in
Inglewood close okay
just hang out right here
that's all right come stay out of the
street though okay
foreign
34 we're gonna need a tow for a Mercedes
Coupe
um
she came out of here that's obvious it's
okay from them yeah yeah but she smoked
this thing and I think she I think it's
going to be a
here there I don't know it's yeah I
think so yeah do you wonder do you want
to do it do you want to just do the uh
tests
it doesn't matter yeah I don't have them
yeah I don't have HDM no I don't have
any of it
she's coming from 10 o'clock I mean it
comes from Cresco I mean I don't know if
she is
but she but
she came from here yeah
guessed it slid across and went into
that bowl
what
is
yeah
no I know I'll shut all the lights off
yeah I know
I don't know I can't smell anything but
um
I don't know
are you okay here I'm sorry he asked you
but do you need a medical assistance no
fine I honestly I was making it happened
so fast honestly like I don't I don't
even know what's happened does that make
sense oh I didn't say uh
I literally have no one like I don't
even know what happened I like was
I I live like three blocks I live on
okay
I live on Mr uh Larkin yeah I live on
have lived here for
31. like
so you're pretty familiar with the roads
I'm very familiar with the no it's not
pretty
cool I I don't even know it happens so
fast like where are you coming from
tonight
Temple
my friend she's a she's the sheriff and
uh
her name is ellish like she can vouch
for me I don't even know what happened
like it happened so I'll show you how
what does that mean no I'm not gonna say
bad for me I'm not trying to like put
anyone like so what were you doing
so good oh yeah
where were you her house
yeah
why
I was at her house
there's always one no I know I honestly
have absolutely no idea how this
happened
would you call somebody that's my dad
that's my dad
that's my dad
who won what's up
my [ __ ] like okay yeah we'll get your
shoes they're in the passenger seat I
see them I
well there's gonna be an ambulance
anyway to come check you out fine
okay
so you did
I'm not saying that you said I did but
like
I come through this way at least three
times a day okay
can I give my dad a hug of course
yeah sorry
um
um
yeah leave the backs leave the backs on
that should be fine and then before they
have to get here and then I'll check
that and then we'll go from there yeah
because I can't really I can't tell
before I gotta see if she hit her head
or dude I gotta asked
man I need you to stay over here okay
all right did you hit your head at all
no no okay like I'm not trying to be an
ass but like I'm I'm nobody said did I
said you were no I know you're upset I
know like I've okay
so we have a job to do okay I get it all
right so when somebody hits so when
somebody I understand that
but when somebody so there's many
reasons you could have you could this
could happen you could have been on your
phone you could have fell asleep no way
you could have had something you could
have something to drink so that's part
of what I'm trying to find out here you
can look at my phone I don't need to
look at it all the time I'm not trying
to hide anything from me so do you have
anything to drink tonight I've had I
went with my friend
to
where was it
okay how long ago was that a couple
hours ago okay
I will I have my shoes in the other car
like in the driver's side because
honestly I've been working since 11AM so
like I said you could have fallen asleep
okay
not one part of me has fallen asleep
work at a yoga studio in Tenafly New
Jersey I walk through Woodland all the
time and they walk up and down and I'm
fine well we're gonna over here we're
gonna that's black round I'm just gonna
do a couple tests and all right we'll do
that okay so walk right over that way
your dad could stay here
preferably over there or with one of
these other officers okay let's go right
that way
do I have to have shoes on no not for
this
not for the first part at least okay if
I need I need you to put on shoes or you
feel more comfortable for nine shoes
we'll go from there I'm fine okay
stay there huh I'm gonna stand here okay
all right
you see this plan yep okay what color is
it red okay if you want to just put your
feet together and your hands by your
side
all right I'm just going to ask you
again just for clarification you didn't
hit your head nothing like that okay
not that you remember what the accent
okay
you don't have any pain nothing like
that
listen yeah I'm human do I have pain yes
yeah no but anything from the accident
anything that's gonna cause you honestly
it happens so fast I don't even know
what happened okay
all right so I just want you to look at
the tip of this pen all right I want you
to follow it with your eyes
and your eyes only don't move your head
okay you understand yeah
[Music]
I'm not stupid like
I'm not saying they're stupid I know but
like honestly like I've never done
anything like this before like I've
never been in a situation like this this
is not my fault like whose fault is it
honestly it happened so fast I don't
even know what happened were you driving
were you driving the car I was obviously
yeah
does it make sense if I tell you I have
no idea what happened it happened no I'm
just I understand that part but whose
fault would it be then that's not your
fault whose fault is it I'm not saying I
don't know that's what you just said
it's not your fault whose fault is it I
don't even know what happened okay can
we can I get through my test
[Music]
look at the pen
[Music]
it's not stupid and I'm not done I'm not
drunk
I'm sorry
I don't need you to talk though I have
to look at your eyes and have to make a
determination I'm sorry so when you when
you move your head and you're talking it
makes it a lot harder for me to look I
agree okay I agree
foreign
you could do it without your shoes
that's an option I'm fine I didn't do
anything wrong I know I didn't do
anything wrong
I know I didn't I'm not a [ __ ] I've
been working since 10 a.m this morning
what you're all defensive about have I
have I insulted you in any way
this part of my job yeah I get it I'm
sorry I'm not trying to be okay but can
you understand where I'm a little hey
well can you just uh
bring my car over here I don't know how
to do that no I'm talking to him
I will do whatever you want okay I'm so
strong I'm not I haven't done anything
dog died
my dad is right there like I'm not
stupid I would never do anything dumb
I've lived in this town for like since I
was my God I moved here when I was in
eighth grade
I'm gonna have him I'm gonna have him
bring the car over here so we can get a
little more light we're gonna do uh
walking turn and one leg stand okay all
right all right I'm gonna explain and
demonstrate this test yeah all right
it's called It's called The Walking turn
okay so I'm gonna do stay right there
all right move maybe a little bit so you
don't fall on the grate step a little
forward okay
all right
so
I'm gonna tell you put your right foot
in front of your left in the heel to toe
fashion like this
all right stay in that position until I
tell you to move you understand
I mean I do but I have a very bad
didn't you tell me your you do yoga I do
okay
okay anything that's gonna preclude you
from walking straight
in a heel to toe fashion
Okay so just go back that way okay
all right put your right foot in front
of your left and a heel to toe fashion
and don't move until I tell you do so
you understand
all right
I'm gonna take three steps you're gonna
do nine all right
and it's gonna look like this one
two three
all right when you get to your your
ninth step this step you're gonna take a
series of small steps all right you're
gonna keep that foot planted and take a
step around and you're gonna take nine
steps back one
two three in a heel to toe fashion don't
start until I tell you to okay
all right so you're going to take nine
steps I've demonstrated three all right
I demonstrated the turn you're gonna
count your you're gonna count each step
out loud and You're Gonna Keep Your
Hands Down by your side
do you understand
all right
go ahead and get in the starting
position so with your right foot in
front of your left in a heel to toe
fashion all right do you understand the
test as I explained it I do but can you
look at my left leg right now because I
have a complete I have injuries okay
what kind of injuries I have a play
okay and
yeah
does it does it inhibit your ability to
like walk straight or send it yeah all
I'm asking you to do is walk straight
all right
all right three four five six seven
eight
thank you
thank you
very nice all right come back this way
go ahead I'm not trying to [ __ ] you
okay go back one go back the other one
three four five six seven eight nine ten
eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen
sixteen Seventeen huh yeah
all right ma'am stop right here okay
all right next test
are you okay honestly my left hip is
killing me I've been working since like
nine a.m this morning how many yoga
classes did you do yeah I'm a real
estate agent oh you're a real estate
agent okay I do real estate and I have
okay I
want to see I don't need to see anything
all right I just want you to finish my
tests go for it okay the next test is
going to be the one light stand
yeah
all right I'm gonna I'm gonna
demonstrate the test
I'm gonna demonstrate the test okay
pebble when I tell you so you're gonna
put your feet together Hands by your
side okay when I tell you to do so
you're gonna have to you're gonna pick
either leg of your choosing either your
right or your left so whichever one you
feel more comfortable standing on
all right you're gonna put your put your
leg up like this
all right and pick it up six inches off
the ground point it from point point it
forward and count one one thousand two
one thousand three one thousand four one
thousand until I tell you to stop all
right do you understand how many
thousands
until I tell you to stop
that's part of the test it's not it's
for me to tell you how long all right
when I tell you to start okay
huh
no
okay so whenever no whatever like you
want it's being very defensive right now
whatever leg you want okay go for it all
right ready begin
you can count
I mean
thanks for like messing me up oh okay
39 what's your location
and stop all right hold on stop stop
we're done
all right
turn around putting hands behind your
back
seriously
[Music]
one more time
where's your hand hold on let's move on
let's take this off
hold on hold on can I try one more time
are you kidding me no
it's on your arm I am how does it come
on
hold on shirt off
there you go
here give me your head
give me your hand oh man give me your
hand I'm right here give me your hands
what do you want to get that one off no
I want to get the bag off for sure
this guy serious
man don't move okay we're gonna explain
everything I don't want to hurt you I
don't want your hands to get hurt okay
okay
I'm gonna explain everything I'll
explain everything then you want you can
come over here sir
she's gonna be taking down the
headquarters you're more than welcome to
wait in the lobby for her we have some
paperwork and some tests to some still
some tests to do and then you'll we can
release into your custody if that's what
you like
okay okay you can meet at Town Police
Headquarters you can put uh the Jeep
it's uh right down there okay right down
the street and leave it in the just come
into the front lobby okay the car's
gonna be towed and impounded you're
gonna be coming over we got it we got it
okay so guys right there so it's good
the impounded too because it's a part of
uh you're telling me she's under she's
under arrest right now
all right come on
all right man I can't transport I know
uh 75 South Van Brunt yo you're gonna go
down the hill into the middle of town
South Van Brunt make a left on it where
the first block
come on man
no we'll walk it's okay I don't know
what oh you want me to you want to take
this off sorry it's like okay 100 450.
okay hold on I'm gonna slide it up here
I'll hold it can you just put it over
there yeah if we can try yeah
can I just ask you a question yeah so
why do you assume automatically I'm not
assuming that's why we did all those
tests there's no assumption yeah yeah
very much so
yeah
I'm a
different music
other side right no I don't know this
side you guys are here
huh just give me one second yeah you
want to fix it yeah
uncoff it for a second yeah all right
we're gonna uncoffee for a minute okay
don't move
[Music]
it's almost
okay
all right okay okay you gotta turn
around now you have to turn out I will
switch it we'll fix it okay turn around
turn around
turn around
five figures
can I ask for why is that like I think
[Music]
any other agencies you can have regard
we got three computer
[Music]
I just want to make sure it shows
headquarters okay yeah this is a lot of
us you know yep I think okay
okay
everything everything in here is audio
and Visually recorded okay
I'm just trying to
your license is in your bag
ma'am license in the bag honestly I
don't even know who took my back off I I
did it's in the front seat I'm asking if
it's in there that's where your license
is car register to you or your dad
my yours it's registered gift okay
yes
I'm sorry
it's like I know you
probably thinks I'm up
I don't think anything of you I honestly
don't know I don't know and like I will
literally
oh yeah do you have the Keystone car are
they in your bags
in my purse keys are in the purse
she said
do anything I'm not am I trying to
pretend like I'm like this victim but
like I have been so fast that I'm not
stupid it's like nobody's saying you're
stupid I'm not saying you think I'm
stupid I'm not trying to like I'm not
but like my purse is inside that it's
it's like we have your purse it's right
here I understand like I'm not
I feel like at this point no matter what
I say like well you're right because at
this point I've gone through the tests
that I have to go through
right
I didn't get into account absolutely I
took that into account
well that also has nothing to do
what's your what's your name
what's your name Rita so Rita what was
the first test we did did that have
anything to do with your legs or your
ability to stand or walk straight
what was the first test we did when I
tested your eyes right yeah okay that
had nothing to do with your ability to
stand or walk at all
okay
all right
we'll see you at the station Rita okay
it's the procedure it's fine we'll see
you at the station all right
all right Jack come on let's go after
this you guys taking her down there now
well wait wait there's another call we
can't get anybody else up here so yeah
huh no we don't have anybody to close
this so we're waiting for someone to
come here
we can't get out of here until until we
get we can't leave this road like this
all right so Jack let's just stand by
until they get out of here then we'll go
to the police station with them all
right I told him he's more than he's
more than welcome to wait in the lobby
we just have to do a couple tests couple
paperwork with her and she'll be right
out the door we'll release her to her
custody his custody as long as he's
willing to take her yeah that's fine
all right that's it it makes it easy on
us when we have somebody already here
yeah that's gonna take custody so we
don't have to make a bunch of phone
calls he's got to feel sobriety you guys
did a blood alcohol we're gonna do that
at the station that has to be take it to
the hospital or what no no okay
all right standard Jack let's just stand
by all right all right we'll just throw
it in open the door please all right
thanks
[Music]
thank you
[Music]
