What's going on today? >> Nothing. I was irritated. >> What were you irritated about? >> Okay. So, they're saying that you you threatened >> I was people. >> No, I wasn't threatened for for that at all. >> Are you serious? >> Yes, ma'am. >> So, I lost my job then. >> People sometimes forget that work isn't a place for dumb shenanigans until they screw up so badly they get arrested right in front of everyone at their own workplace. >> That is not >> Oh, what? Wait, what? I can't carry. Uh, >> definitely not. >> What? What? What? What? I can't. >> Your pants are falling down. That's a That's a clue, right? >> How much you had to drink? >> Hold this. >> No, it's your stuff. You hold it. [clears throat] >> I know. >> You're trying to get on a plane in American Airlines uniform. That is not a good look for your company. >> He's a writer. He's a writer. >> Hi, boss. >> Or he used to be a boss. Are you stupid? >> Here are several unbelievable moments when dumb people get arrested at their workplaces. Starting with Oscar, an onduty officer who got arrested while driving around town high as a kite in a reckless joy ride. >> Come back here. It's all good. Hey man, he could be having a medical condition, but he was sleep. We passed by his car. He was asleep. >> I I am really just begging you. I I I don't want to go to jail. >> On April the 7th, 2022, the Eustace Police Department received a bizarre 911 call after concerned citizens reported a patrol vehicle driving as if it were possessed. At first, it sounded impossible, maybe even like the cruiser had been hijacked. But once the vehicle was finally pulled over, the truth took an unexpected turn. Hey, Officer Oscar, why don't we come back out here real quick? Come back here. It's all good. Hey, man. So, can you just put your hands on the roof for me? I'm going to remove your Okay, you got any other weapons? >> All right. No, but um I'm I'm prone to seizures. >> You're you're prone to seizures? Okay. I'll turn my lights off real quick for you. All right. I'm going to put this in my car for the duration of this encounter. Okay. >> The responding officers quickly checked the squad car and found exactly what any [music] reasonable onduty officer would dread. >> While the squad car was being inspected, another officer spoke with a few concerned citizens who had witnessed the entire incident, hoping to gather details of what had unfolded. >> Center Street and Firewood. >> Yes, sir. all over the road, stopping in the middle of the street, off the road, running stop signs, a lot of stuff going on, >> okay, >> with this guy. And I tried to call Apa PD. Of course, they say they closed. >> So, we just call 911. I guess it went to you guys. Yes, sir. >> I was sure other people was probably calling him. >> Okay. But >> Oh, yeah. We got We got a call. >> Yeah. I don't >> He could be having a medical condition, but he was sleep. We passed by his car. He was asleep. >> He was asleep. When did you pass by his car? >> Right over here at Center and Firewood. Um, he came and he keeps stumbling. >> Do you smell anything? >> Yeah. And there's a beard smell. >> Okay. I'm just making sure. >> Um, >> what kind of beard came? >> He said it was in a center call when you first got there. It was >> Hey, man. Just sit down. >> Hey, >> sit down, sir. >> We're just having EMS come check you out. >> Did you do anything to celebrate today, man? >> Uh, no, sir. >> No. >> Listen, man. Um, it's better to be honest in our profession. >> You I took a lot of um benadryil. >> Listen, in our profession, you know, it's best to be honest, right? >> No, no, no, no. I know. Okay, I know. I I I I took the Brennad drills. >> There is a open container of alcohol in your vehicle. >> We all make mistakes. I get it. >> I know our job's stressful. I get that, man. You sound like you had a stressful night last night. >> Okay. >> Um I I am really just begging you. I I I don't want to go to jail. >> Well, hey, we're all going to detain you and we're going to figure it out. Okay. Go ahead. Don't get >> No, no, no, no, no. [ __ ] No. [ __ ] Put >> your hands out like you're praying. >> Yes. In the end, he was arrested, but at the time this video was made, details about any formal charges are still unknown. Officer Oscar's life choices were dumb, but none of it came close to 36-year-old Adrien, who was dumb enough to think threatening to open fire at her workplace was some kind of power move. >> Nothing. I was irritated. I was gay. I was pissed off, but I wasn't saying out I was saying out of frustration. >> Saying what >> about what and everything. >> What did you say about? >> Popping off. >> Are you serious? >> Yes, ma'am. >> So, I lost my job then. >> On November the 16th, 2023, just minutes before 8:00 a.m., a peaceful morning at a Walmart in Tulsa took a sharp turn. An employee lost it and threatened people with a firearm, turning what should have been a normal end to the night shift into a police call. >> What's going on today? >> Nothing. I was irritated. >> What were you irritated about? >> You can clear me up for being held yesterday. >> They did what? >> Cuz I was being held yesterday. >> Okay. What What did they do about that? >> Brought me up for >> brush you up to? No. >> No. >> Okay. Um, so what's the reason that you think the police have been called here today? >> I don't know. >> Cuz I haven't done anything and I just said a frustration cuz I'm irritated. >> What did you say to him? That >> I didn't say anything to anybody. >> Okay. So, they're saying that you threaten >> I wasn't. No, I wasn't threaten for for that at all. What did you say that maybe they misunderstood about? >> Cuz they don't understand me one bit. Cuz they thought I was uh cuz I always get I was sick today and they wouldn't want to go home at all. >> Okay. It's hard to be when you don't feel until 1 or until 33. >> Were you supposed to work today? >> I was working last night. Yes. >> Okay. You worked like the graveyard today. I'll be there in just a minute. So, >> um, >> what time were you supposed to get off? >> 7. >> 7. What time is it? 7:50. >> Okay. What made you decide to to stay in your car? >> I was smoking a cigarette cuz I don't smoke and drive. >> Okay. >> And I don't uh drive while I'm irritated. >> It's probably best. You don't want to drive angry. >> Right. >> Right. Okay. Do you have an ID or anything like that? All right. Talk to her for a minute while I run this. >> All right. So, you're kind of telling her disgruntled didn't say anything. You sure we didn't say anything to anyone about how pissed off you were? Nothing like that? >> I was. Yes, I was pissed off, but I wasn't saying I was saying frustration. >> Saying what? >> About everything. >> Okay. What did you say about >> popping off? But I was trying to how I feel without me doing with the with the crit. >> Her face told the story right away. She was angry over something only she could make sense of. The officers stayed calm. They knew better than to rush her. People like that usually tightened the rope themselves, then panicked once they realized there was nowhere left to move >> with me by yelling. That's all I want uh post. But >> okay, >> fine with me being frustrated. >> So, if I understand correctly, you're saying if you you believe that if you vent out your frustration, it'll keep you from actually doing the action, >> right? Okay. How long have you worked here? >> Since June of this year. >> It was like the 8th of June when I started. >> Okay. Have you ever been in trouble before we talked to police or any other police department? Anything like >> No, Steve. That was about it. >> I have no awards for an arrest. >> Okay. So, what do you do here? >> Overnight soccer. >> Oh, that's a rough job. >> Yes. You work 5 days a week? >> Yes. >> Overnight? That's hard. >> Yes, very much so. And I'm under a lot of stress. >> Okay, that's understandable. >> I have no car. Only thing I have is that clock for safety. That's about it. >> Okay. Just the one. >> Just that one. Okay. >> And yes, it was loaded just for that reason. >> For what reason? >> For safety. I work night and I come outside. >> Understandable. >> In the area that I work in. >> Okay, >> we've got all the So, I don't know. Come over here for a minute. >> Okay. I don't know if you guys want to make this a mental health bang or a uh >> threats, but she definitely told the employee cuz she can discipline it. >> Yeah. Well, apparently there >> So that's threatening a violent act with the means to do it. So >> Sounds good. So we're looking more at witness statements. Correct. >> Sounds good. Is this car really going to hurt back out next to you? >> All right. >> Are you serious? >> Yes, ma'am. >> So, I lost my job then. Can I at least hand him my badge and my discount card? >> Relax for a minute. Okay. >> I'm going to talk to my supervisor. >> All right. She's going to be searching you. So, is there anything on poke, sticker, nothing like that? >> No. My box knife is in my car. >> No sharp needles. >> No, I don't do that that stuff at all. I'm clean except for the cigarettes. I figured, but I asked everybody because you never know. Some people find stuff in their pocket pretty far away. >> Yeah. Like I said, I don't >> Okay. All right. Do you have any weapons anywhere else? >> No, I don't. Okay. Can I walk somewhere else? I have anxiety like really bad. >> And then I have the box for the grab that. Well, it's it's either standing with handcuffs on or sitting in my car for a while, which is very >> No, I mean ground the car, please. >> I don't want to pop up on the >> You don't want to look mouth off again. >> Just just hang out right here. But my legs are already shaking off. >> Okay. >> What you want? >> Huh? >> What you want? >> I need to get information for a report and >> let me put her in the car. Indeed, some co-workers can be annoying, sure, but sitting in the car after threatening them with a firearm and refusing to leave made her look ridiculous. But if she could play a stupid game, she readily deserved a stupid prize. Now, front passenger side. Go ahead and stand right there for me. I got to move some stuff just real quick. So, do do we do we kind of understand kind of the the problem that happened today? Are you still confused on that? Like what? >> No, I was frustrated. I can't say what I need to say to pay off frustration. >> Well, when cops >> Well, listen. You can to an extent, but when you when you threaten Listen, listen. It doesn't matter. >> It's the same as if somebody goes in and like threatens a school or something, I wasn't actually going to do it. Especially when you have the ability to carry out the act when you actually have a car. >> Yeah, I wasn't going to really do it. >> Doesn't matter. We don't We can't operate that way. We can't operate that way cuz if we leave you here and then you go in cuz I wasn't going to do it. It doesn't matter. >> You're an adult. >> How does that leave? you. No, it doesn't matter. You're an adult. The words you say matter. Words matter. And when you threaten and when you threaten someone, it is not an empty statement that just kind of goes statement. >> Well, that's you. >> The rest of the world does not work that way. So, have a seat. >> Sit down. >> It's kind of hard for me to sit down. >> You go on the other side. >> I will. probably. >> Yeah, I don't think they were going to hire you back anyway, hun. You threatened your boss. >> How are the boys threatening me? >> The words you used in the structure you used them is called a threat. Thanks, sir. >> So, basically, she has a in the car. >> So, we've got, you know, threatening and violent act with the means to carry through. >> Fair enough. Yes. So, in my opinion, >> how did she uh what did she say or did she say it to them or did she email or what? >> She said it to them. She got disciplined for I guess talking back. >> Okay. >> And um said something about popping it off or something like that. Edg is working on witness statements so we know exactly what was said. >> Okay. >> Um >> Okay. >> Okay. >> It's a Glock 44 224. Yeah, >> but but the itself was right in the uh what do you call it? >> Yeah, it was change load and everything. Cool. >> Before taking her to the station, the officers went into the store to ask questions and check the details. What they discovered went far beyond anything they had expected. >> They know I have something to do with medical therapy to talk about. >> Okay, guys. How are you doing? >> Better. You know, >> she just doesn't look like the person that would walk in and say, "I'm >> She's just a very angry person." >> Angry person. >> Yeah. She was the loudest in the store, I would say. >> Now, what did she say to you? >> Um like when like all together is that what happened? >> Well, she came walking up saying how she was all angry and to drive and everything. >> Too angry to drive. >> Yeah. She was in her car first while we were sitting at the center area >> and she was saying what she always says. She always has a problem with her manager >> coming on to her because she yells at me and he coaches for it. >> Usually I'm just like yeah, >> but I was I'm looking for every day she yells. Every day she gets in trouble for it and it's just >> and I was like you got you got to deal with your problems. You got something else like therapy. We all like all of us have anger issues. All of us have issues. You have to find another way to deal with it than yelling at your boss. You just can't. And that's when she just said that she like is she either two people or she would choose >> and that she's the one to tell you she had two. Who did she tell she had two? >> Um I previous got a ride from her so I knew she had glove box I believe. >> Okay. >> And she gave me rides several times so I've seen it at least five times. >> Okay. Put that in your report. >> He told me that after when she walked away and that's when I was like I need to go tell about that. Okay. Okay. And she How did she word it again? I'm going to What? How did she >> I have to yell at him or I would >> Okay. Okay. So, she didn't say anything about customers. >> She specifically said talk about him. All right. Got it. >> And that's which one's >> I don't know if he's still here. He has the button up shirt on. >> Is still here? >> Yeah. I'm going to need a statement from him because this sounds like he's going to be my real victim. Yeah, I think he's the victim, so I'm going to need him. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And they knew she had cuz they've got her before and they so they knew she had so they followed their company protocol. When she said that, they came in here and told them. That's when they called us. Back in the police car, another officer tried to reason with Adrian. But it didn't take long to realize sometimes people aren't just dumb, they're straight up dangerous in ways you do not see coming. >> Do I get that back when I get out? >> Yes. Um, but it's not going to be an immediate. >> Okay. It's going to be a little while. >> It's It's going to be a little while. So, >> I got to say it's never been >> Yeah. >> Except for uh >> Did you buy it new? >> Targets. >> Did you buy it new? It was my sister's. >> Okay. Yeah. So, she >> sold it to me directly. >> Yeah. So, all >> I have paperwork for it. >> That's fine. So, you live in Oklahoma. We We're good with that. It will need to be test fired. >> Okay. >> Hasn't been cleaned in a little while. >> It's fine. Uh it they'll they'll test fire it. Make sure everything's good. Make sure it's a safe gun. And then they're going to do a background check on you to make sure that you're going to be able to have the same as you would if you would have gone to a good >> Right. Like I said, it's >> And then listen, let me finish. I'm almost done. And then after that, it depends whether or not the people here at Walmart or whoever it was that's the victim in this wants to press charges. If they want to press charges on you for threatening a violent act, it will be the be held until after all the court stuff is done. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Like I said, people don't understand you stupid [ __ ] I just did it out frustration. >> Yeah, ma'am. You can't do that. >> It's express myself. Well, you need to find another way to express yourself. >> Bro, my cat. >> Well, then you might need to go talk to somebody because the people that express stuff like that have extreme usually anger issues. >> That's what I have. >> Well, and listen, and those people, as you put it, pop off and do stuff like in a parking lot. >> Yeah, I've got that kind of >> Well, but listen. But listen, the jump it takes between getting upset and verbally saying, "I'm going to do damage with this firearm," and actually doing that firearm, is much closer than people who don't say anything and just leave or just yell nonsense and then leave. when you make a very tangible threat and then you have the capability of doing that because you do have a >> right that wasn't like do it though >> but who nobody can know that for sure except you right >> right >> so everyone else that is involved believes you can right >> my mother I'm not going to really do it >> but your mother's not here your mother's not the one you're talking to so I would highly recommend when all this is said and done, if this is an ongoing issue, how old are you right now? >> 36. >> You're 36? >> Yeah. It's not ongoing for me. >> So, listen. If you're 36 and having difficulty with this, you need to go talk to a therapist or a psychiatrist to figure out another method of releasing this anger. And there's nothing wrong with going to talk to somebody about anger issues. A lot of people should be doing that. But you need to do it because it got you today in a whole bunch of trouble. Well, I A lot of people do it without anger. >> Yeah, but a lot of people don't have the >> I know, but I always get really do. >> But do you do you understand where we're at? >> Yes. Okay. >> In the end, she was charged with threatening a violent act. We've seen plenty of moments when dumb employees get busted at work, but none come close to the moment American Airlines called the cops on Chris, [music] a ridiculously dumb onduty flight attendant who showed up to work drunk, loud, and clearly itching for a fight. >> Everything in your bag. How much you had to drink today, man? >> I had like >> Your pants are falling down. That's a That's a clue, right? >> How long have you been working for American? >> Uh, like 6 weeks. >> I don't know that girl, bro. I don't know. >> She's your boss. >> My boss, bro. My boss >> or used to be your boss. >> On May the 6th, 2024, just before noon, Dallas Fort Worth Airport police stepped into a situation that quickly went sideways. What should have been a routine interaction turned into an investigation thanks to an onduty intoxicated flight attendant throwing a meltdown that looks more like a belligerent teenager's tantrum spiced with the judgment of a toddler. >> Did you call it? >> Yeah, they're down at the plane. >> Okay. >> Somebody were you guys part of that or >> uh I just worked with him. He's our co-orker. No, this is not okay. >> What's going on? >> I'm tired of uh those guys telling me what to do. >> Hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up. >> That is not >> Oh, what? What? What? I can't carry uh >> absolutely not. >> What? What? What? What? I can't. >> Okay. Because I walked through >> and they say you can't have everything in your bag. >> How much you had to drink today, man? >> I had like >> Your pants are falling down. That's a That's a clue, right? >> How much you had to drink? >> Hold this. >> No, it's your stuff. You hold it. >> You know what I had? You know what I had? >> How much alcohol you have? >> You know what I had? >> What? >> That those two right there. Literally when I was walking through >> like working, I literally was like trying to get through and every single time I tried to get through, they were like, "No, no, you're not getting through. You're not getting through." And I was like, "Why can't I get through?" And they were like, >> "So, answer his question. How much have you had to drink?" Smell it coming out. >> Like probably like when I was going through probably like uh like a champagne and a half. >> Okay. All right. >> You got your driver's license with you? >> Yes. >> Okay. Can I see your driver's license? >> My dad's literally NYPD. He literally >> NYPD. He's worked in NYPD for like 20 years and every single time I >> Where's your driver's license? >> Look at it. >> I'm not with this. Look at this. >> I I Let me help you out. You're not going to have to deal with them anymore. Yo, and every time I looked at them, >> I literally was like, "Oh, you guys are" And they were literally [snorts] >> 86 last week. I tell you what, are are you able to get it? There you go. Okay. Where's your driver's license? >> I know. Now I was going to get it. >> Driver's license. I already asked you. >> Yeah, I got it right here. >> No, I mean, >> you taking any medication? >> No, I wish from Lounge. Uh my dad has been in PD uh for the past 20 years here. Why are you telling me that he's NYPD? >> Because uh he's my dad and he's the goat. But uh >> you got >> I want to be a douchebag, but >> Oh, here he is. Here he is. Uh I don't want to make like a scene in front of like this, but it's so But it's so >> Let me let me explain something to you here. How long have you been working for American Airlines? >> Uh, like six weeks. >> Six weeks. Okay. >> So, you might not know yet because you're fairly new. Okay. >> Anytime somebody a passenger tries to board a plane dis intoxicated, not even an employee. I'm talking about a passenger. Anytime a passenger tries to board a plane, American Airlines, we get called to it. Add on top of that that you're an employee. And yes, we're going to get called to that. But you're drunk, dude. You know what I mean? You are I'm sitting here watching you sway. You are right now. >> No, I mean I know what you're trying to get on a plane in American Airlines uniform. That is not a good look for your company. >> No, I'm sorry. >> And that's that's exactly why they're not letting you board >> and then on top of that, you're throwing a fit down there. You're throwing a scene, making a scene. That's why we got called to you. >> Just so you don't drop this, I'm going to I'm just going to put this against the wall. Okay. >> So you you personally are tying our hands here. with the with the with the state. >> You're on your own for American Air Force. That's a whole completely different issue. >> It wasn't hard to spot the problem, but Captain Jack Sparrow, who was later identified as Chris, offered the officers nothing useful to work with. That forced them to turn to the other employees, hoping to piece [music] together some solid background information he clearly wasn't willing to provide. >> This way, you don't have to worry about >> and um keep keep an eye on him. >> Okay. All right. >> Okay. Come tell me what happened. >> All right. Yeah. >> Okay. So, you're saying >> I mean, do you guys have videos in the junk? I mean, yes. Yes. >> It doesn't really matter. >> Did it Did it happen? Okay. Are you charges? >> Can I say unsure right now? >> No. >> Well, I mean, >> you can, but I mean, why what are you unsure about? >> I I'm just shooken up at the moment. Okay. All right. All right. [laughter] >> Okay. I >> I just I I figured I just I just I need to >> have a minute to process stuff. So, >> Okay. >> Okay. So what happened >> there and we're watching to ensure we keep the flight attendants just there until we had flight service arrive and he came barreling up the jet bridge and uh we were like hey like don't don't and then he just me down from his side with both hands over me. Yeah both hands shoved you on your chest or side or what? >> Just like went like right through me. >> So did he use his arm or did he use >> I think it was Marvel's arm. So he used his arm right through. At that point, the officer's goal was to deescalate the situation and if possible, help minimize the damage to a newly budding career. But some people just couldn't be reasoned with, especially when alcohol was in the driver's seat. >> Uh what is it called? When you're like when you're uh >> I don't know, but whatever. I'm going there back to my house. Uh but it's called like >> dead heading back there. >> Yeah, I'm dead heading back to my I'm dead. I'm going back to like where that like that whole like >> that whole like building. >> What's your name, bud? >> Chris. >> Chris. Turn around. >> Dude, I I promise my brother works for Railroad. He's >> My dad is a loyal railroad. >> You're good. >> I'm going right now for a minimum of public intoxication pending on whatever else is going to happen up there. Okay, my partner's getting that side of the story. I don't know what happened to that side. Um, it sounds like there was more involved before we got here and uh those charges will be pending as of right now. >> I'm going to go ahead and take your wallet here. >> Okay. I'm going to have you do a written state. So, so you do want to purs if you don't want to pursue criminal charges, that's not a problem. I just >> I'd rather do either now. So, I don't know. >> Okay. Because >> this is the first time this has ever happened to me. So I'm like I'm a little bit lost. >> So I mean it's up to you. I don't want you to feel pressured to to do it. I don't feel want you to feel pressured not to do it. It's just it's >> and I just like there report on all this, right? So no matter what. >> I just want to make sure like there's going to be something so if I if there's injuries or something like this. >> I don't know. I don't know. I don't know where they need to get. Don't tell her. >> Matt, why is she dragging my bag? Why is she dragging my bag? >> Wait, why are you dragging my bag? Why are you dragging my bag? Wait, >> wait, wait. Stop. Why is that? Grab me a wheelchair. >> Dragging my bag. >> Why is that Indian woman dragging my bag? >> Why is that Indian woman? >> We have to We have to take your bag. >> Okay. Okay. Indian woman. >> Okay. Indian woman, grab it. Go. Go. Go. Just Just go. Let's go. Dude, dude. Why is that Indian woman in my back? Okay, there it goes. >> Sir, I'm going to be right up here. >> Okay, >> I'm running. >> There it goes. Indian woman in my bag. What the she doing, bro? I don't >> I don't know that girl, bro. I don't know. >> She's your boss. >> My boss, bro. I >> He's a writer. He's a writer. >> My boss. >> Or he used to be your boss. >> Are you stupid? Flight attendant. Not anymore, man. >> Dude, I'm a flight attendant. I literally started being a flight attendant. >> Stay up against the wall. >> My face, bro. >> This is not going to end good for you. >> Stop. >> Adam to DFW. Send us more. >> We need to take him down. >> Yeah, we're going to take him down. All right, you got me around [clears throat] location. >> Damn it, >> Chris. That was probably the stupidest thing you've ever done, right? >> Yeah, that was pretty stupid, brother. >> We're going to need leg restraints >> and a spit mask. And a spit mask. >> We're also going to need a spit mask. Actually, I've got a spit mask in the thing. Okay, >> you got them. >> Yeah. Okay. around just like restraint We have a unit on the deck at 39. Slow roll here. Slow roll here. >> Did you get >> Yeah, I right in my eyes. >> With the situation taking a sharp turn, Chris had bitten off far more than he could chew. And his intoxicated mind couldn't grasp the weight of what he had just done and what was coming next. You could have gone home, you know, in a few hours. >> I don't know if you want. >> Yeah, it's not happening anymore. >> Adam, too. Um, can we have EMS also in route to our location uh to check out Officer Mitchell? He's >> was spitting the eye and if we can at least have them help wash out his eyes. >> I just want to go home. >> They can roll. Uh, no. Nice today, bud. Go spend some time over in the county. >> Uh, my dad's MSP. >> That doesn't mean anything. >> He's worth for 20 years. >> That doesn't matter. >> Home regardless. >> No, he >> he's not here. He's not here. >> Stop playing your game, though. Let's go home. >> Stop playing your gas, bro. >> I received They're requesting medics for an officer. >> I'm sorry. I just want >> No, it's fine. I'm sorry. I just like I'm just not even like I just don't want to be a part of this anymore. >> Well, this is all about you. This is all you, man. >> All about you, but you started resisting and then spitting in a police officer. >> I know. I know. I know. And I'm [ __ ] stupid as [ __ ] >> I just want to go home. >> I'm certainly not going to argue with that. >> You keep telling me that your dad's NYPD know better. You should know. Oh, my dad is NYPD. >> You should know better if your dad's NYPD. >> Oh my god. >> Let me know what you want. Just need a tap out. You guys >> Yeah. I don't know. That's really >> Anything else there? >> Put your feet up, Chris. >> Oh, sorry. >> Put your feet on the rest here. Put your feet on the rest. >> Right here. >> Bend your knees. Wait. >> Sorry. >> Yeah. >> With Chris finally subdued, at least for the [music] moment, the officers moved through the airport, gathering more information, picking up the pieces after his thoughtless [music] tantrums had disrupted the process earlier. >> That's all I need. So, I need something while y'all are looking. >> So, you do? >> Yes. >> Okay. All right. Let me go get uh I'm going to need a witness statement. >> Okay. Casey. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Okay. Did he do anything to anybody else? >> Just you. >> Other than >> he pushed both of us, but he ran him over. >> We need this evidence. >> Okay. So, are >> you pursuing criminal charges for contact? >> I'm not pursuing. >> Okay. All right. And you are? Okay. All right. Hey, I'm going to go get >> this. I mean, you were originally fell off. >> See, you were working. >> No, he was he was supposed to be the one. >> Oh, he said he told us he was dead, >> but he couldn't think of what it was. >> Okay. >> And you got all that stuff? >> Okay. Hey, how do you get down that door? >> Yeah. 704. We're coming down the service elevator at the dock. We're going to go the squads down there >> towards the end of the like pass by the FedEx truck. I guess one of these dudes can call you over there. Yeah, I'll probably have a 04 L1 if I can get you to meet me over there at HQ in case we need help. >> All right, you got that side? >> Yeah. >> Can I get Can I not not take my uh phone in there? Not in the back here. All right. I'll go >> is my phone. >> That's an A phone. >> Uh, I'll take that. >> I'll take that upstairs. >> Okay. >> Who's hurt? >> Huh? >> Who's hurt? >> Not me. >> Mitchell's got his face. >> Yeah, that's what I was saying. I I can go over there with you and see him. >> Okay. Oh, okay. Um, >> he's going to see my medic. >> Got you. >> You just want to follow. >> The officers believed Chris was finally under control, but he wasn't finished. Up to that point, he had been holding back, waiting for the right moment to [music] make his next move. >> What do you think this is? Shut the >> Okay. >> Mileage 922 34 >> dude. Hey 704, if I can get you correction 709, if I can get you to meet you down here, he's kicking the door. He's already been it, so we can probably add the charges of criminal mischief. >> Get me out of >> I want to go home. >> Stop the door. >> You've already been it. Now you've got felony criminal mischief on your record on your charges as well. >> Can I go home, please? >> No, you're past that. Quit kicking the door. >> I don't belong to this, please. I I don't belong to >> You really think that yelling at people, calling them racial slurs and all that, you think you're going to get it's going to be nice? >> Quit it now, >> sir. I don't belong to this. [sighs] Let me talk to her. Let me talk to her. >> Let me know who broke. We're past that point, man. >> I do not belong to this [ __ ] Yo, >> I belong to Long Island. I do not belong to this. Please. >> But listen to me for a second. >> Let me go home. I don't belong to this. Please, >> this is going to go better for you. Like starting to damage the car and stuff. You're starting to add charges on me. >> Okay. What do you What What are you acting like that I belong to? >> Huh? >> What? Why are you How do you like I like I should stay here, bro. I want to >> Because you're under arrest right now, man. And >> Okay. For what? >> What was it? Public in talks. >> Harassment of the public service. >> But but but what I'm saying is >> I don't want to go. I don't know. What I'm saying is though, this is where we're at already. >> Okay, fine. I I'll literally >> But doing this stuff here is only going to make it >> I want to period, bro. I'll >> you'll be stuck for longer if you keep doing this. >> Okay. Can you pull this down, please? On my on my head. >> You already spit in one of our officer's eyes, man. That's it. That's why you got it on. >> I'm sorry, man. >> Just take try and take a deep breath. >> This is going to be real badass. Okay. >> Let's just not add charges to this. Okay. All right. >> Doesn't need to be any worse for you than it already is. Okay. >> All right. All right. >> Chill out. I'll be there in like 5 minutes. Okay. >> Down, please. >> I can't hold it down cuz you already spit on one of our officers. >> All right, dude. I'm not I'm not going to spit on your ass. Please. >> All right. I'm going to close the door. Okay, I'm going close this door. Don't damage it anymore or you're going to catch more. Okay, you're going to be in here longer if you if you damage it more. >> Why don't there be a 5minute run? We'll get you out. Okay, just try and try and take some deep breaths. We'll get the air rolling. If you need air conditioning, we'll do what we can for you. All right. Good. [sighs] >> Never a dull moment. >> 704 back in route again. He was eventually charged with a felony criminal mischief and public intoxication. Chris was dumb to say the least, just like this teen who got arrested at work after pulling off a theft scheme that rad in over $2,000. >> Anything you say can be used again? arrested. >> Hang on. Just listen to me, okay? Do you know the total dollar amount of money you took? >> He told me to not. >> And how were you doing this? >> The first I just took cash and then I was just getting the gift card. >> On November the 11th, 2024, grocery store management called the police [music] after spotting serious irregularities in their numbers. At first, it could have been chocked up to system errors or simple mistakes, but the truth was darker. The issue was eventually traced back to stolen gift cards, more than $2,400 worth activated without payment between August and November, and management had already narrowed their search down to one person. >> Since uh August 19th until November 5th, she has been activating gift cards without paying for them and then keeping the gift cards for hers. and that's a total of 17 uh 1,724.95 of losses that she has been causing. >> Okay. >> Um now she also said that she had taken about $300 in cash but I don't have any evidence of that. So that's just verbally also. >> Okay. So >> Okay. What's the handwritten sign? That's just her her wishes. How you doing? What's your name? >> I'm Deputy Kramer. I'm here obviously in relation to the incident that's been going on with you and your employer. At this point in time, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can or will be used against >> arrested. >> Hang on. Just listen to me, okay? Just listen to me. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can or will be used against you in the court of law. With these rights in mind, do you wish to answer questions? >> Yes. >> Yes. Okay. So, what's what's been going on? >> I've been taking money to buy food for me and my little sister for a little while. >> Okay. You said you're taking it to buy food for your little sister and you. >> Okay. Calm down. I've never been in any type of trouble in my life. I'm so scared. >> What's the home life situation like? Is it Is it just you and your sister or >> It's my mama. She works a lot. So, she's not really there. So, it's basically me and my sister, but she's with my older sister right now cuz my mom's at work and I'm at work. So, I'm going to get the rest of it. >> So, you will be going to jail today. >> Who's going to pardon me out? You'll have to make a phone call from the jail. Okay. >> Why am I getting arrested? >> So the your employer wanted to pursue charges. Okay. >> I wanted to pursue charges. >> Do you know the total dollar amount of money you took? >> I think you took that. >> How much do you think you took? >> Like a,000 total. >> Okay. And how were you doing this? >> The first I just took cash and then I was just scanning the gift card. So, you'd scan the gift card and do what? >> Just been in the mountain that I needed. >> Okay. >> I never been in trouble. I'm not thinking of freaking out cuz I don't think you're going to get me out. >> When did this start happening? >> Maybe like a month or two months ago, maybe. But it wasn't like an everyday thing. >> How many times a day would you do this? >> Probably like three. with the cards, but I stopped it because I just started sending the cards. >> How much in cash do you think you took? >> Probably like 300 in total. >> Can I text her? >> You can you can make a phone call. >> You think I'll get out today. >> So, you probably won't get out till you probably had to spend the night and you'll get out first thing in the morning. You have to see a judge in the morning. Okay. >> [crying] >> I said I was going to pay back. >> Unfortunately, >> is there anything I can do so you won't press charges? >> Unfortunately, this is what the company wants to do. [laughter] >> Can I have your >> fraudulent scheme spoke louder than her tears and the officers knew waiting around would only delay the inevitable. >> Almost [snorts] here. Okay. Yep. We're going to we're going to walk out. We're going to talk to her out there. Okay. Just grab your stuff this way. Do you want to let your Do you want to have your mom take your stuff? Okay. I don't know where she is. So, I'm going to take you up to the jail. All right. You'll hang out in there while I write my paperwork and then you'll be turned over to them. They're going to basically put you in with into the system and then you'll see a judge in the morning. >> What time in the morning? >> Around 8:00. >> And then I'll go. If you want to sign here, this just means that you're also trespassed from this location. Okay. They don't want you coming back. If you do, you will be arrested. Okay. Do you want me to search her real quick? >> Please. >> You want to stand up against the vehicle real quick? >> Do you have anything on me that's going to poke me, prick me? Anything that I should be concerned of now? >> No. >> No. >> Okay. Put your hands up here. >> What's your mom look like? >> She's black. She looks old. >> You're going to have to take this off later. Are you okay to just take it off now? >> Yeah. >> We can give it to your mom, too. Kramer, >> spread your feet real quick. >> I think this is her right here. >> Okay. Phone's got to go with him. >> Do you want your phone to go with you? >> Or do you want your phone? >> Okay. >> So, I'm going to give all of her stuff to you. >> Okay. I'll explain to you kind of what's going on. I don't want to explain to you. Um, but I guess she was caught stealing from from the business. I guess she was charging gift cards and pocketing the gift cards. She's been doing it for a few months now. I guess she also admitted to taking cash as well, but due to the dollar amount, it does constitute a felony. >> So, we don't have discretion on it. She's got to go. They would they persistent on pursuing charges. So, If you'd like, you can talk to her. hours. You got to give me You got to call everybody. You got to call them here. I'm going to take my password off so you can get into my phone. Come on, everybody. Get me out of here. Call and call Mark. Call everybody that's in my phone. >> Elizabeth, do you want this to go with mom? >> This is just a copy of the trespass. Okay. >> This is the evidence there. So, do it a little bit. Should be able to give you a phone call. Once you get there, you'll be able to talk to the booking deputies, okay? They can be able to give you a little more information of the process. Okay? >> Step back. >> Can you tell AJ 124? >> Call AJ. AJ. AJ. Tell me when to call AJ. Okay. Yep. >> Thank you. >> So, you'll see a judge, okay? Um, and they're basically going to read over the case and determine whether or not there's probable cause for the arrest. And then from there, it's just going to be a bond amount. Okay? So, tomorrow you'll be able to find find out what they're going to set as a bond amount. >> Eventually, she was charged with organized fraud under $20,000. If there were levels to being dumb, the next case would seem like boss level stupidity. A school teacher who showed up to work higher than the Empire State Building, like it was in the school brochure to do so. >> So, we got called about you. Okay. I guess you showed up to work and they thought you were intoxicated. Cuz I took 700 mg of Drazol. >> What is What are you supposed to take? How many are you prescribed? >> 150. >> You took 700? >> Yeah. >> Why'd you take 700? >> Because I had an argument with my girlfriend and I wanted to pass out. >> My blood pressure will be low because I drink that much. >> On May the 3rd, 2024, Stow City police got a strange call to start the day. School staff reported a male employee who showed up to work visibly soaked in booze and whatever else. When an officer arrived, the man was already gone, but the encounter was far from over. The officer soon tracked him down, and things only got weirder from there. >> Hey, how are you? >> Good. How are you? >> Good. So, we got called about you. Okay. I guess you showed up to work and they thought you were intoxicated. The PD called us to check on you. They thought you might be coming home. Um, that's basically where we're at. Okay. Okay. >> Is there any reason they'd think you're too impaired to work or anything like that? I mean, I guess you didn't do a breathalyzer or something or I mean, what's really going on? That's the only information I have. >> No, I started a new um sleep med. >> Okay. >> It's high dosage. >> Yeah. Do you feel okay? I mean, you think it's maybe just the dosage of the sleep med and messing with you a little bit? >> Oh, for sure. >> Okay. No alcohol, though. Just the medication. >> Yeah. >> Okay. What's the medication that they gave you? >> Trazadone. >> Trazodone. Okay. 15 millig. >> Okay. >> Is that more than you would I mean, let me ask you this. Have you been on that for a while? Is it just up the dosage or >> I was up on 50 and then bumped [clears throat] it 100. Um, >> okay. >> And I am >> just a little drowsy, a little sleepy, maybe just messing with you a little bit. >> Oh, yeah, for sure. >> Okay. All right. Can you do me a favor? Can I see your eyes real quick? Can you just look at me? >> Okay. Are you able to actually Let's just see this again cuz I I want to make sure that you're okay. Okay. Obviously, the drive and everything. That's the call that we got. All right. Um I don't know if it's medication or something else going on with you, but again, just the nature of what we got the call for and everything and you driving. >> I want to make sure that you're indeed in in some shape to drive. Okay. So, I'm going to have you come out here and just hang out by my bumper. We're going to do a couple of tests and hopefully we'll get you inside. >> I'm home. >> I know, but you were also driving down there and came back from work. So, you were not home. You were driving. I know you're home now. I understand that. >> Why can't I just go into my home? >> Listen, like I explained to you, okay? Got a call about you being impaired at work. Madina PD called us to check on you, but they thought you were driving home. Okay. Thought you were prepared to be driving and they want us to check on you. Okay. That's why I stopped you. Okay. You're saying you got on new medication and it's messing with you. >> Well, that may be. And if that's really the case, man, and you're good. That's that's fine. Okay. We'll get you inside and go. >> What's going to happen? >> What do you mean? >> What's going to happen? Like I I'm home. >> Mhm. >> Wait. But again, I also followed you down the road. Okay. It's not like I found you in a parking lot, you know, with no keys and you're just parked. Okay. You were indeed driving. Okay. and there was concerns about your driving because of the call back to being paid at work that we got a call from another police department to check on your welfare and everything like that. Okay, that's where we're at. All right, so again, I'll make sure that you are indeed okay to drive and if that's the case, you'll walk inside, do what you got to do with your medication and go on about your day. All right, but for for this point, I'm going to at least check you, make sure that you're not impaired cuz again, you are driving and we'll go from there. All righty. So, >> agree. >> What's that? >> I disagree. >> Okay. I'm sorry you disagree. Okay. If if this goes where it might go, then you can talk to an attorney about that. But again, we're not there yet. All right. I still got to do what I got to do. All right. If you want to just um in a minute, if you want to hit that vape again one more time, and then just leave that in the car for me, and then we'll come out here, do a couple of tests, and go from there. >> I'm not doing the test. >> You're not going to do any tests? >> No. >> Okay. No test whatsoever. >> I need to make some phone calls. >> Okay. Well, we're not going to do that right now. Okay. You're going to get out and do these tests or we're going to we're going to go a different direction. Okay. pretty good direction. >> The direction is I'm you're barely able to talk to me. I smelled a whiff of alcohol talking to you. You've admitted to going over Trazodone 150 millig. Okay. It's obvious that something's messed up with you at the moment. If you refuse to take any kind of test to again convince me that you are indeed okay to drive, then we're probably just going to go straight to arresting you. Okay? I' I'd like to give you the chance to go through those tests, but based on what I'm seeing right at this very moment, it's it's not you're in no shape to drive. Okay? So, that's kind of your options. Okay? You can get out and perform these tests for me or I will go with my initial observations of you and just arrest you for OVI right now. Does that make sense to you? But I'm >> If indeed he had nothing to hide, he had no reason to avoid a sobriety test. The officer kept things professional, but the cop's patience, just like any form of patience, has an expiry date. Being >> home has nothing to do with this. I'm home. >> Right. But you drove home. You drove home right there. >> Right. Correct. But you drove to Madina and then from Madina to home. Who are you trying to call with her right now? >> My girlfriend. >> And what's she going to do for you at the moment? >> I don't understand what's going on. >> I explained to you about five times what's going on. All right. There's not much more I can explain to you. >> Hello. Hey, they called the still police. So, yeah, they're trying to get me. I'm literally in my parking lot about to walk in. I'm still coming off the transit. Like I don't know what to do. I took it at like 2 or 3 a.m. I overtook it. I'm not going to fight you. But >> I know. I understand. >> Yeah. >> We still got to do a certain set of processes here, though. Okay. So, I'll give you another minute to talk to girlfriend, but then we got to >> Yeah. >> do what we got to do. Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Okay. Can I write down her number? >> Yes. >> Listen again, sir. We're not even to the point where I'm going to pull you out and just arrest you right now. Okay. I'd like to perform tests on you. Okay. Standardized field sobriety testing. If if indeed you can show that you're not impaired, then you're already home and you go back inside and there's nothing else we're doing. Okay. So, >> but I'm I you said that. I get that. But you drove. The issue is you drove and you drove home. All right. I got behind you on a main roadway. State Route 91 right here. I didn't find you in a parking lot by yourself. Is it is what it is, man. You drove your car. Okay. If you're not impaired, that that's fine. and you know, you get your medication adjusted, but we're kind of past the point of your home and everything like that. So, >> I took 700 mg of it last night. >> That's a Okay. So, listen. I want to do a couple of tests with your eyes. I'd like to do a walk and turn test and one leg stand test on. That's the standardized body testing. Just fail. >> Why would you think you're going to fail? Is it because of the medication? >> Yes. Okay. Are you willing to at least try or no? >> No. >> You don't want to try any tests at all? You just think you're beyond impaired to be able to do any kind of test? >> That's why I told them I'm coming home today. >> Right. Well, obviously again, if if you if you were too impaired to go to work. Okay. Did you think it was the right thing to drive home? >> 8:15 and I needed to get home. I told them that specifically. >> Okay. Well, they again they called Madina to police because they were concerned that you're driving a vehicle because of whatever state that they observed and again my my initial observations of you as well. I'm concerned as well as far as driving a car. Okay. Medication's not illegal. I get that. >> Because I took 700 mg of Drazil. >> What is What are you supposed to take? How many are you prescribed? >> 150. >> You took 700? >> Yeah. >> Why'd you take 700? >> Because I had an argument with my girlfriend and I wanted pass out. >> You want to pass out? Okay. >> Yeah. Have you ever taken that much before? Have you ever taken 700 before? >> No. >> You think that was a good idea to take >> No. >> five times the amount of medication and go drive a car. >> Hopefully, it was terrible. >> It's a terrible idea, right? Okay. So, again, it it is my job to at least attempt to do that's that's what I have to do. Okay. If you refuse to do all this test, I'm going to go with my observations right here and we're just going to get the process done. >> The officer's steady tone sent a clear message. He had been given options he could not reject. But deep down, he knew stepping out of the car meant getting exposed. One way or another, whatever secret he was trying to bury was about to end up in the open. >> So, I'm going to get arrested. If you refuse all the tests, then then yes, that's that's we're going to go straight to arresting you and not going to give you a chance to even do those. I mean, that's that's your opportunity now. >> No, I appreciate it. >> Okay. You don't want to do any kind of testing whatsoever. Do you at least try? Again, that's I have to at least give you the opportunity to perform them. Okay. >> Do you want to or no? >> Sure. Okay. Take a seat on my bumper right here. press up against that and look at me. And then if you don't mind, can you flip your glasses above your head for me? You have any medical problems I need to worry about? Any major injuries, any major conditions, anything like that? >> Yes, I have a condition where my eyes flicker. >> What is that condition? >> The condition, you know, I would have to go inside and get >> Is that prescribed from the doctor? Some kind of condition from your eyes? Okay. By flicker, what do you mean by flicker? They flicker back and forth. You ever had a major head injury or anything like that? >> Oh, yeah. Seven was that? >> Seven of them. >> Seven of them. >> Mhm. >> From what? From 2014 to 20 or 204 to 2018. What's the nature of those injuries? how you get to football. Football like concussions and things or Okay. Ever had like a CT scan to confirm what kind of injuries you have or anything like that? Okay. When was the most recent injury? >> Most recent was 2019. And what was that? Concussion or something else or >> Okay. You take medication for those injuries? >> No. >> Okay. So, the tradone you're on that for what? For sleep. >> For sleep. Okay. Any other medications? Go ahead and let me hear them all. Uh on what's that for? >> Um bipolar. >> Okay. >> I'm on for bipolar. I'm on for anxiety. I'm on for high blood pressure. I'm on for high blood pressure. I'm on for high. Okay. Besides prescribed medications, have you consumed anything else today as far as any alcohol? Anything like that? >> The trait. Just the trazadone. Okay. That's prescribed to you, right? For the sleep. Okay. And you said you took 700? >> Yes. >> When was that? When did you take those? >> Around 4:00 a.m. >> 4 a.m. Okay. And you're supposed to take 150. >> How often are you supposed to take it per day? >> Once. >> Just once. Mhm. You said you were in an argument with the girlfriend said, "I want to go go to sleep, pass out." Yes. While you trouble with your medication. Okay. All right. So then I want to look at your eyes. Okay. There's certain things that alcohol and other indicate to us whether you're not. Um, it's going to be the same thing. Yeah. >> Okay. And then if you're able to, I'd like to do some walking tests. Okay. That's part of the standardized testing. Okay. Again, it's I already got to go to the pace if you want to do it. We have to do. Okay. So, for now, I'd like you to watch my pen. Okay. I'm going to wave it in front of your face. >> I still have to observe myself. There's a process to what we do as far as OBI investigations, things like that. >> So, if you say it's going to flicker, I appreciate you giving me a heads up with your injuries and everything. Yeah. >> Um, I still got to articulate what I saw myself. >> All right. You got no recent injuries. 2019 is the last injury you had. >> Mhm. >> Okay. So, what I want you to do is look at the tip of my pen right up here. Probably with your eyes and your eyes. You understand that? >> Mhm. >> So, your head move a little bit. If it helps you, just um put your palms against your cheeks. Okay. Okay. And we're trying not to move our head at all. All right. Take a quick break. We got one more eye thing and we're going to do a little bit of walking if that's okay with you. >> You have any problems walking in general as far as >> right now with the strain? Yeah. >> Okay. What's the What's the I mean just tired. I mean what is >> Oh, it makes me just groggy and it makes me lethargic. >> Sleepy. >> Yeah. Makes me struggle. That's why like I had another meeting at 10:30 and I canled it to come home to just go to bed. I understand. >> Cuz I took too much and >> Understood. So, do you have any problems walking for me to try? Any injuries that would prevent you from doing so? >> Left ankle sprain. >> What's wrong with your left ankle? >> Oh, I had a deep sprain. Left ankle. >> What was that? >> 2012. >> 2012. Did you get any treatment for that or anything? >> I did, but I didn't do physical. >> Still bothe you today? >> Yes. >> Okay. All righty. In general, do you walk normally though or is that mess with that? >> I still walk with crook with a crook. Okay. >> It was obvious everything he did up to that point was just stalling. He was buying time hoping something would change, but alcohol didn't understand restraint and it would always give itself away eventually. >> We're going to try. Okay. So, let's come on down over here. We got a nice straight line in the parking lot. So, just stand right there for me. Okay. What I want you to do on that line. Okay. Left foot down. >> Yeah. Yep. Left foot down on that line in front of you. Right foot in front of a heel to toe kind of like this. >> And just stay like that. Can you get your heel and toe together? Kind of like I'm standing. Yep. >> You able to touch them? Okay. Hands down at your side like this. And I want you to stay like that for a minute until I tell you to move. Okay. So, whenever I tell you to, you're going to be taking nine steps down that line, heel to toe. Okay. >> All right. I want you to look down at your feet while you're doing that. Count the steps out loud and keep your hands down at your side. Okay. It's going to look similar to this again. Right here. One, two, three. I showed you three. You're going to go to nine. Right. When you get to your ninth step, keep this left foot in front of you, plant it. Cheers small steps. Turn yourself around and back down to where you came. Sure. >> Nine more steps. Does that make sense to you? Do you have any questions at all? >> No. >> Whenever you're ready, go ahead and try that for me. All right, listen. If you're going to get hurt, we'll stop. But if you want to keep continuing to try >> get hurt. >> Okay, come on up here for a second. I don't want you to get hurt. Would you be able to try to balance on one leg at all or no? No. >> No. Like I just showed. >> Okay, I understand. You're a little off balance. I get it. >> Took 700 mg. There's a lot of tread in there. A lot of trans. Let's try something else. Okay. >> Jeez. >> Are you right or left hand? Just >> I'm right here. >> Okay. So, again, whatever hand you want to use, but maybe >> What am I doing here? >> Okay. Listen. >> What am I doing here? >> We're going to do some tests. Okay. And then once you're done with the test, >> I took 700 mill. I understand. Then you drove a car. That's the issue. >> That's obviously messing you up. You You feel messed up yourself. That's the >> Yes. That's why I got home. My apartment is right there. Number 14. again. What you should have probably done is called for a ride. Okay, that's that's the would have been best case scenario for you. >> I got home sitting in the parking lot. >> All right, one one last thing I want you to try. >> It's sitting in the parking lot. It's right there. >> Listen, do you want to try anything else or No, >> it's right. >> Listen there. >> I know you're upset. Do you want to try anymore or no? >> My apartment is right there. >> Here's the deal. I need you to turn around and put your hands behind my back for me. You're under arrest. >> For what? >> OVI. Turn around. for OVI. What? >> Turn around. You said you weren't going to fight him. Remember, it's not good. Worse than we have to be. Tone driving your car is the issue. 700 millig [clears throat] of tresone. Five times what you're supposed to take. You have anything in your pocket at all? >> Uh, wallet. >> Wallet. So, here's the deal. This is like an hour long process, okay? And then we'll get you home for us. It's not going to take too long. All right. >> Um, I need you to spread your feet for me real quick. >> Nothing sharp in your pocket, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Write down. >> Yeah. Well, actually, we'll bring your phone with you if you want. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Like I said, this is an hour. We're going right across the street to our apartment. It's an hour worth of booking and paperwork and then we're going to bring you home. >> His girlfriend. I know you talked to girlfriend a minute ago. Is she >> home afterward? >> Yeah. Well, we're not going to let you drive, obviously. Um, and since you're so close, we'll probably just bring you home for us. Okay, sounds good. >> Where's girlfriend at? I know you spoke to her a minute ago. >> Uh, she lives 5 minutes away. >> Does she want to come bring you home? That's up to you. >> Uh, I can call her. >> Preferably, we try to get a ride. Obviously, we're pretty close, so it's not that big of a deal. >> Okay. Can I get a ride if she doesn't? >> Yes. Yeah, we will. We will. Well, yeah, we're not. We'll drop you off at home if that's the case. All right. We're going to go back down this passenger side. Okay. All right. You're not going to fall over, are you? I know you're leaning back quite a bit. >> You guys are making me lean back. >> I got you. Got it. All right. Here. Try to lean forward for me. You're kind of falling back at this point. Here we go. All right. You slide your butt in first for me. Careful. Careful. But I'll be able to get my phone to call her, right? Bring it with us. All right. And then we're just going to lock your car up here. Okay. All right. >> He was clearly dealing with more than one issue, but repeated bad choices sat right at the top of the list. Showing up to a school high as a flag was one of them. And even then, the reality of what he had done still had not fully sunk in. >> Thank you. >> Thanks. Did you drink anything at all? Cuz the medication, the alcohol is obviously concerned at this point. You know, this is a traffic offense. It's not the end of the world, but it's we're more worried. >> All right, man. I understand that and I'm sorry you're dealing with that. Okay. >> Yes, sir. So, again, our our concern I again I understand you sounds like you have some experience with drinking. Okay. You know yourself better than we do. Okay. Do you feel like you need to see an ambulance or something? Cuz that's extremely high. Plus, you took a bunch of trazadone. It's it's just a from our standpoint. It's almost a medical concern for you. >> It's just one just to cover our buds. >> How much that is prescribed to you? Whatever you took today. >> The tradone, right? is. >> Yeah. >> But did you took more? You said you told your Yeah. You took more than what you needed to. >> Jesus Christ. Three, four, two. >> Well, we'll just have some paramedics come and like take your blood pressure. >> It's fine. My My blood pressure will be low because I drink that much and I do it consistently. It'll be fine. I've been trying. We're so low. >> I'm so sorry. Yeah. >> It's okay. >> Yeah. >> You want to apologize? I'm just going to have them come and run some vitals on you and then you and the paramedics can decide about if you don't want to go to the hospital, you just tell them that. Okay. But that's what we're doing. >> Where are you guys at in the booking process? Do I need to wait a little bit? >> They don't need to come. >> We can we can get through. >> Yeah. So, listen, I know you don't want to serious see them. Okay. Um, from our standpoint, it's just a liability for being that high with the medication. >> Yeah. So, obviously, you know, that's high as well. So, again, it doesn't have to be a big deal. Okay. Hey, if you don't want to go, they'll they'll tell you it's refugees, but we do have to at least get you checked just cuz of how [clears throat] high it is. Just >> do vitals and stuff. >> I understand. I understand. >> 700 milligram. He's prescribed 150. I don't know how many you took, but that's the dosage. >> So, listen. Um, again, they'll do they'll do vitals on you, okay? Make sure that you're not going to like pass out or something crazy, okay? >> I know. I know. Again, it's just from again from our perspective, it's just we have to cover our bases as far as making sure that you're at least medically okay. >> Eventually, he was charged with operating under the influence in OVI with a BAC of 0.342, over four times the legal limit. Next up is Miss King, a McDonald's employee who served unruly customers something that definitely was not on the menu and ended up getting arrested for it. >> Right there. So, when I'm squeezing through right there, both of them like it's in my face and I just moved her phone on her hand. She got phone all in my face. I was trying to I was trying to be the bigger person, but it's every week. It's something. >> When she reached in the car, did she take the phone? >> Yes. >> So, she actually grabbed the phone. >> O'Neal's on his phone. She takes it and she like keeps it away from them. So, she deprived them of it. So, it's Robert. >> On April the 21st, 2024, police rushed to a McDonald's after a drive-through dispute got out of hand. An officer arrived fast and spoke with the 19-year-old employee who gave them her version of what had happened. >> Tell me what occurred today. What happened? 23 >> only me and him me and him got both on the headset. So when they came to the thing they was like oh you didn't take my order. I said yeah I know I know I didn't take your order busy it's only me and him. I got other cry and the other fools. So I'm like can you go? I'm like can you go back around? She was like no I'm not going back around. The man in the front seat he wasn't saying anything. It was two ladies in it was one in the passenger seat and it was one in the back seat. >> The lady in the passenger seat she says no we're not going around. I said, "Well, then I can't put your order in right here because I have other car and I have other flu. I didn't want it for me to go cold." So, she was like, "Well," I said, "Okay, well, I'm going to call the police." I called the police the first time. They was like, "Okay, that they was going to send somebody out." So, I went outside to give the people and I think the second car behind him had a crime fade. So, I was just I asked him, did he have prior cash? I had him go to the window and try to pay them out. I have to squeeze through right there. So when I'm squeezing through right there, both of them like this in my face, sticking the middle finger just her tongue out. I'm like, "Okay." So next thing you know, I see this all in my face. So I'm like, and I just move her phone on her hand. She got phone all in my face. And I'm trying to walk past. I'm this little the door right here. When I'm walking past, she about to hit me. He about to hit me. No. Matter of fact, she was about to hit the door. He was out of the car. And that's when the other girl came around from the passenger seat with the other girl and tried to walk up on me. You think I'm going to buff at him, hit me? No. I was trying to I was trying to be the bigger person, but it's every week. It's something, right? >> Somebody always come here, rather. It's every week and I just got tired of it. >> That's all. >> Do you have your ID with you? >> I don't. >> Okay. >> I think I have a picture up. I don't >> You have your picture? >> Yeah. >> Can I get your name real quick? E M >> E M I E >> O N I E >> Lat King 61 K 61C. >> Do you have a middle name? >> Yeah, >> data bro. >> January 29. >> The summary was emotional, but the confession of an angry teenager was never going to be completely reliable. The officer needed other witnesses, someone who could either back up her story or give a version with the undiluted facts. >> Okay, you can come in. >> How are you? I'm good, man. How you doing? Good. >> Yeah. I have I have no idea what happened. They just asked me to come see if we got to >> just absolutely ridiculous. She was I guess they were arguing through the window and she went outside so the car behind them and they were still arguing and she approached the car. >> So she's like she's like this all in the window. My manager >> and then they opened their door >> cuz they were recording her. So she went to snatch their phone cuz they were recording her. >> Like again why would you even go outside? you know that you just she violated the security policy here like you know obviously she lost her job but like why would you even put yourself in that situation so many people do crazy stuff especially if you approach them she could have had even more serious problem you know >> so just for unfortunate on both sides >> yeah it's just the whole situation she's 19 so I'm not great now you have a record and you're 19 over what something so All right. Thank you. >> All righty, ma'am. Thank you. I appreciate it. Have a good day. Okay. >> Hello. >> Okay. I am going to have you guys fill out some papers. Okay. >> Um, when she reached in the car, did she take the phone? >> Yes. >> Do you see me? >> So, she actually grabbed the phone. >> Yes. >> And had I know I saw the video. I'm asking. I have to ask. >> So, she reached in the car, she grabbed the phone. When she grabbed the phone, she had possession of it or you and her had possession of it. What happened? Like, did So, where's your phone? Grab that phone. >> Grab it. >> Okay. So, say you have the phone. Did she take it >> or did you have it and she had it like this? >> No, we don't expect she took it. >> We don't expect >> Okay. All right, you guys. That's Grand Theft Auto. That's what that is. The mail is filling in on English. >> It's all right. So, let's let's watch it again. And I have another video. >> She said, "Step out here. I'mma beat her." So, we got >> to make sure she don't leave. >> She's in the front seat. If you >> Yeah, she had some like a scratch on it. >> Yeah, her arm's red and [ __ ] >> Yeah. >> And the blonde. >> That's easy. >> 2335. >> Let me go look at the blond's injuries again. >> I don't know if we have to meandize her cuz she called us here. >> Well, you don't really have to. >> She admitted to >> You don't even have to ask her any question. >> I like to ask her. So, like what? >> So, basically, she said they were being disrespectful, sticking middle finger. She came out >> squeeze through the went out. >> But now you're going to But now you're going to have to Miranda. >> We don't even know if we need to. I mean, she pretty much admitted to it. She even said it. >> But we have to cuz now you have a video and we're we know she committed a crime. So you're going to have to >> So let's think. >> Every clue pointed to the same story. The officers still turned to a neutral bystander at the scene, hoping to get a clearer picture of what really happened. >> Hey man, can I speak to you once you're not busy? >> Can I speak to you real quick once you're not visiting? >> Yeah. I was able to get the video footage from one of our sources cuz we're able to connect them. Yeah. >> Um I seen you walking away with her. Tell me what happened. Like >> Yeah. I was walking over as I was grabbing her so she won't go to jail. >> So she she squeezed through the window. She went through the window or >> She didn't go through the window. Like she didn't like go through this thing. She was going out here the other >> So she walked out the door over here and then went to the car, right? >> Yeah. She wasn't going to them. She was going to the car behind him. >> Okay. to tell them to pull up forward because >> to pull forward >> because the car that was at the window, they didn't want to move to tell them to go around. We got hell of cars in the back. >> It's just me and her here. Third person didn't come. >> So they want to sit at the window, get disrespectful and record. So they recorded me sticking middle fingers. I'm like, "Bro, come on. What are you doing? Y'all too old for this." >> Like he just telling y'all to go around. >> Y'all don't want to go around this that and the third. And then I can't tell you from happening from there on cuz I was focusing looking at the screen as well and I'm not seeing that the girls got out. >> The girls had got out of their car. >> The girls got out the car. >> They got out of their car. She was break like in the back where they're by the like I don't know how to explain but in the back by the light is the back light. >> Mhm. >> She got out the car. She snatched their phone there in her face with the phone. >> So they got out the car after they slap she slapped the phone out the >> Yeah, I guess. So they got Yeah, they got out the car. >> Okay. >> Yeah. So, uh, uh, was there anything that they said that, um, made her go outside or >> like I said, I had a I can't tell you. I don't all I seen that they were sticking middle fingers at her and stuff. They were sticking middle fingers. >> They suck it at me, too. But I go out there and I get her and bring her back to, >> right? >> Excuse me, ma'am. >> What's your name again? >> Can I get more pictures of you again? >> Yes. Yes. >> Call the 19 unit. Okay. So, the first one, thank you. >> Just stand right there. >> 2337. >> Okay. And where are the cuts again? >> This is on this and this. Yeah, I have my >> I think I I saw blood earlier, right? >> 5213 units close by. >> Okay. So, from what it seems like, she's going to be going to jail. Okay. I'm sorry. >> As you guys see, >> not you guys. Her. >> She is. >> Okay. >> For when you guys were in the car and she's reaching in, it's this door. >> Yeah. >> This >> the driver door. >> I sited. >> You were sitting here >> and she grabbed You're in the front seat, right? >> This is the door. And she saw like we sit here sit here. >> Was she upset that you were recording you then? >> Yes. My sister start to recording it >> and uh and she saw it and start to grab the phone. >> Yeah. >> Okay. just >> any and before that was there anything else physical or is that the >> uh and she start I uh go out from the car and she I wanted to take the phone my sister back uh but she start to run and >> with with the phone >> she's phone >> yeah but she had it >> the lady that took it she took it and then run >> I started to stop she She and uh back to home and she start to >> fight with no she girls and come to back and let's start boxing and guys and that guy >> help. No no no no >> and that guy. >> How'd you get the phone back? >> I thought >> I she she uh back come back. >> Okay. >> No, we start to fight. >> Continue with that. >> You might just want to put her in cuffs now. So, what do you you agree? I mean >> I mean it's robbery. >> It's burglary. That >> video pretty much self-explanator. >> Yeah, there's no I mean there I don't see what they could have done from inside a car. Uh because when she called us, she's like >> that. I mean, no matter what happened before that, >> but when she called us, she didn't say that they did anything. All she said was, "Oh, they're causing a scene cuz our food's taking long." >> It took a special kind of ignorance to get rage baited by people who could barely string together proper English. But once she acted without thinking, she lost the right to complain. In that moment, she crossed the line from victim to villain. >> But even if something happened before that, at that point, >> there was no she wasn't self-defense. She advanced on them, open the door. >> Yeah. There's >> Listen y'all, I'm the scariest person. I don't I don't play with police cuz I already know how y'all live. But they attempted me. But I did not hear her. I didn't anything. When she hit me with that door, I tried to avoid it as much as I could. That's why I don't care about having y'all come back at 6:00. So y the door >> cuz you know how it's so little right there. He was at the window. I was trying to get him the car to um so he can swipe it. And how the car was at first her door was not on his clothes. And she saw me walk past that little thing to give him the car. She opened her door and tried to hit him and she put out her phone was sticking in the middle think. >> I'm like, >> "Did you get a ticket?" >> Yeah, he was attending them as well. Um, she saw her walking outside from this door right here. Went back to go attend the customers behind the car cuz they decided to stay right there at the at the window without moving back. And they were being belligerent. They were sticking the middle finger at them. She was attending the customers behind them. Um, at one point that's when the altercation happened. She went to their car and that's when everything occurred. >> What did he say about >> um he seen her slap the phone. >> So, I don't know about what she just said, but she claimed that >> she walked by. They opened the door, not >> No, but that's not what happened. >> They see her open the door. >> Okay. So, let's go ahead and let's see if she'll walk outside to give her statement and when she walks out, too. >> What do you think? I think once we talk to God, it's like, >> "Let's just get her out of the kitchen. Let's at least get it right here." Okay. >> All right. So, look, here's the problem. What you were saying and what happened are not the same thing. >> Yes, >> I I understand. But listen to me. Listen listen. >> What you you're saying they they were recording. You know, they were recording. >> That whole It's on camera. >> She literally like I really I'm telling you. Okay. You're going to jail >> for real? Yes, you are. So, I'm going to have you turn around and put your hands behind your back. >> Okay. >> Can I um call my mom really fast? >> I'll let you call your mom when we get to the car. >> Oh my. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, look. >> You can never open somebody's car and touch them. >> But she had her door open. >> No, she didn't. It's on video. >> It's on video you opening the door. >> I don't remember me opening no door, dog. I would have told you. I won't with y'all. >> I already know how y'all is. >> I understand that we don't have a choice because they're, >> you know, it's not our choice to make. This incident occurred and now we kind of have to do our job. That's That's what it is. >> Can I call my mom? >> I'm going to let you call I'm going to let you call your mom. You have your phone? >> It's over there. >> We'll get it. >> Fortunately, they want to prosecute. Um it's all on video of you going in the car. I like I won't even tell y'all no lie because I >> in the future you just got to diss yourself. >> If they're going to sit at the window and call cause a disturbance, call us. We can do things. >> I know, but we can we can come and do something about that. But then when we come and you've taken these actions, like I said, we'll get this done as fast as we can. Okay? You're probably not going to get out tonight. You'll see a judge first thing in the morning and then you'll go from there. >> You guys ready? >> Let's get out of here before we do this quick. Okay? Look, you don't have anything on your pockets that's going to be contraband in the jail. No type of drugs, narcotics, grenades, anything like that. >> Okay, perfect. >> You ask her and tell my cousin that >> I don't know what she's going to ask. I could just speak to her. >> Hello. >> Um, can can y'all tell her can y'all let her send me? >> Um, >> can you put it up for her contact? Copy. >> Yeah. >> I don't know why your phone like completely >> um cuz it's cracked. You probably have to swipe up and swipe all the swipe no like swipe up to all the apps. >> Eventually, she was charged with battery and disorderly conduct. His king was dumb enough to dish out her own version of justice, but she still didn't top the next employee who managed to be even worse by drunk driving while on the job for a pizza place. >> How much have you had to drink tonight? >> No, nothing. Well, cuz I can smell it. That's what I'm asking. >> Making pizzas and drinking. >> That doesn't sound too good. >> No. Okay. >> Especially right now. >> At this point, I'll be honest. I'm pretty drunk. Just Just arrest me. >> You're pretty drunk. On December the 27th, 2024, an officer with the Rio Rancho Police Department pulled over a vehicle for a minor traffic violation. But after a closer look and a brief conversation with the driver, that small infraction quickly became the least of the officer's concerns. >> Hello. >> Hi, Officer Cho Police Department. >> Yeah. Um, the reason I stopped is cuz you have no lights on. Is there a reason why? >> Oh my god. Sorry. >> Where you coming from? work? >> Yeah. Where do you work? >> Uh, Little Caesars. >> Little Caesars. And then where are you heading? >> Um, sometimes I forget to turn my lights on. I'm very sorry. Getting drunk on the job had never ended well for anyone, and she was about to learn that the hard way. Making pizzas and drinking. >> That doesn't sound too good. >> Okay. >> Especially right now. >> Yep. How old are you? >> 22. >> 22. Okay. They were good. >> The officers ran through a few more sobriety tests, and it didn't take long before whatever she had been hiding the whole time came out. Before long, she handed it straight over to the police all by herself. >> Start at I and then stop at Q. >> I stop at Q. >> Yep. >> I, J, K, L, M, N. Oh my god. >> I'm not I'm sorry. >> Why not? >> Huh? >> Why not? >> I'm just not. I >> get your PBT. >> I couldn't. I'm sorry. At this point, I'll be honest. I'm pretty drunk. Just Just arrest me. >> You're pretty drunk. >> Yeah, just arrest me, please. >> Okay. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Did you You told me that you've only had >> Yeah, I What's in that? >> Yeah, I'm a very lightweight. >> I I understand that. Okay. >> Can we please just arrest me, please? >> Hold on. Hold on. >> Cuz I'm so panic right now. >> Okay. Hold on. Calm down. >> Just arrest me. >> Totally calm down. >> I'm not good with all of that. I dropped out for a reason. I can't just rest me. >> Can Can you hold on a second and let me explain how this goes? Let me just explain how this goes. Okay. If you've only had a little bit of that what's in there, you might not be over the legal limit. >> Okay. >> Okay. That's what I'm trying to get to with this. >> Okay. >> Okay. I'm trying to not arrest you. >> Okay. >> I know. I get it. >> Okay. All right. I'm going to use this on you. >> That's okay. >> Okay. Take take a deep breath in and then blow into the tube until I tell you to stop. >> Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Good. Good. Okay. Let me ask you this. Can you touch each one of your fingertips, tip of your thumb, like this? Can you do that? Yes. Okay. Perfect. I'm going to demonstrate test to you and then I want you to do it. It's super important that you pay attention to what I'm telling you to do. >> Okay? >> If you have any questions, just ask me. Okay? You're going to start with your pinky and end with your pinky touching each one of your fingertips, tip of your thumb, just like I'm doing now. Okay? Okay. >> But I want you to do it in this fashion and count out loud for me. >> Watch how I do it. >> Okay. >> 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 1 I did that test two times. >> Yep. >> I want you to do it three times. >> You understand the instructions? >> One. >> Yes. >> You understand the instructions? Starting with your pinky. Ending with your pinky. Okay. >> Go ahead. Uh, one, two, three, four. Four, three, two, one. Sorry. 1 3 2 1 2 3 4 3 2 1 2 3 4 How many times did you want me to do it? >> Do you remember how many times I told you to do it? You don't. >> No. >> Okay. >> I don't I already told you that I'm pretty drunk. Not going to lie. >> You You are You're literally drunk. >> I know. >> Okay. >> I was just trying to get home. >> Okay. Just put your hand to your front right here like this. >> Okay. Do you have anything on you that's going to hurt me or you? >> Uh going to poke you. Is going to poke us or cut us or anything like that on you? I didn't bring my knife. >> No. >> Okay. This officer is just going to make sure. >> Just check. Just check. Just stand there for me. Okay. Just step forward a little bit. Perfect. Thank you. >> How how accurate? >> They're pretty good. They're usually like >> Yeah, Mine's always like within one. >> Mine's been broke for a while. >> Yeah, usually 012 between there. >> You brought you dragged. >> There's a little You know the cap on that one? >> That little like same cap on that one. There's a cap on the center. >> Yeah, that's >> all right. lessons. >> You might want to tighten these. They're >> What's that? >> They're a little loose. >> We just don't I'm trying to be super cool with you. >> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Come on over here. >> Who do Who do you live with at home, young lady? >> Um my boyfriend. >> Your boyfriend and at Rich. >> Okay. >> With the situation taking a new turn, it became clear that pretty privilege and a soft voice weren't going to make this disappear. The officers understood that they had just taken a potential accident off the road. One that could have hurt her or anyone else out there. >> Right there. >> Okay. Have a seat right there. >> Where's your phone at? >> Huh? >> It's in the car. I'll grab it for you. >> You want your wallet to go with you? >> Uh, I just want to call my boyfriend. My mom. >> Okay. So I don't want to get her for like the insurance, the seat belt. >> No, no headlights. >> So the the the headlights is why you stop. >> It's why I stopped. Yeah. Cuz we were right here. I could get a UI and then I turned my lights on and probably like around here she hit the curb and so then she pulling. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Same. >> Oh yeah, there's the same word. Well, she said she just got off work and >> she's been making pizzas all all work day and drinking. >> Yikes. So that's where she work. >> Little Caesars. >> Pizza. No wonder my sauce is missing. Gosh dang it. >> No wonder why your sauce is missing. >> Um her she had it with her. >> I've never seen that though. >> I know. Not not like that. That is really strong. >> Yeah. She when she told me a buzz ball or something like that, I was like, "What is a buzz box? And it smells like just juice. >> Yeah, it smells like juice and vodka, >> but it's obviously got a lot of vodka in it. >> Got cold cuz of the wind. >> Hurts. Good. >> Yeah, the wind is crazy. Okay. Can you do me a favor? >> Yeah. >> That seat belt that's right to your right there. >> Can you put that on? >> Yeah, >> of course. >> Oh my god. >> Just pull it over and then this the the clicker is right underneath your your your butt cheek right there. There you go. Pick it up. Perfect. >> Sweet. >> Throw it in there. We'll be good. >> I'm so sorry. >> Here's your phone. You can use it. >> I'm going to take you down to the Rear Rancho Police Department. Okay. >> Do you know where that's at? It's actually kind of close to your house. It's it's right by 528 Northern >> and and then you'll be with me for about 45 minutes down there. After I finish the paperwork and stuff, I'll bring you down to the county jail right down right by 528 in Enchanted Hills. And then and then they'll explain to you how to get out. So, >> okay. >> Who do I call? Like, is it like a >> So, >> someone who can bail me out. >> There's there's no there's not a bond. So, when I get you down there, >> So, can I call both my mom and >> you can call you want? >> Okay. When I when I get you down to the jail, um they'll run you through a a uh a point process and they they'll call a judge and the judge will determine if you get out this evening or in the morning. Those are those are going to be the two options. So, if you have any luck, maybe later on this evening or or at worst case scenario in the morning. >> Okay. Honestly, I knew that I should have been driving. >> I know that. [snorts] >> Yeah. You've had you've had you've actually had way too much. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> So, it happens. But you know what? Look at Look at >> I already knew that. I was >> Look at it this way, though. Look at it this way. >> And honestly, respect to you because you've been so kind. >> Okay. But but but look look at it this way. You didn't crash. >> Yeah. You didn't crash your car into anybody else. You just got stopped. >> Yeah, I was. >> Okay. So, it could be way worse. >> I was being very careful. >> Yep. But you just forgot to turn on your headlights >> again. Really? >> That's why you got stopped. >> I do that a lot. Even when I'm >> Even when you're sober. I'm going to be honest, even when I'm sober. I do that a lot. >> But thank you so much for being so kind and respectful. >> You're good. Um, but you can use your phone >> and then when I get you then at the station, you won't be able to use it for like 15 minutes. Okay. >> And then we'll uh and then I'll let you use it after that. >> Where am I going again? >> The Reancho Police Department. >> Real Rancho Police Department. >> Yes. And you you like I say, you'll be with down there with me for about 45 minutes. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> In the end, she was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence, operating a vehicle without headlamps, no insurance, and possession of an open container. Heading to Florida where a Wind Dixie cashier took things up a notch by stealing $10,000 in lottery tickets and causing a $10,000 overpayment until her dumb greed caught up with her. >> It's not more like you just stole a candy bar. Okay, I guess there's a question about almost $11,000 worth of lottery tickets over. >> Okay, >> stop pulling from me. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> Okay. On November the 8th, 2022, Florida police received a call from a Wind Dixie manager reporting an employee who was later identified as Bird caught rigging the lottery system. When they arrived, they started talking to the manager to get the full story. But what they were about to hear, well, they weren't ready for it. [music] >> All right. All right. So, what's happening is we have an associate. Um, okay. >> We started seeing some lottery shortage over here. For instance, ticketing online. >> Um, it started back around beginning of July. >> Um, and it's gone on to present. So, >> since July, this has been selecting lottery cards. >> Lottery cards playing online tickets. >> Yes. >> Okay. You want to go back in there for me real quick? >> Okay. You said 10:05. >> I don't know what's going on. talking. I I don't want my kids to be stuck out the door. >> I know. Well, we don't I don't know what's going on yet, so let me talk to him and we'll go from there. >> Um, so have her on video, you know, selecting tickets mainly at the liquor store. she would just scratch the bottom to see if they're a win or not, discard them if they weren't, uh catch them if they were, and there's also another process on the cash register to wear. Um like if somebody brings up a winning ticket, we can key in instant lottery redemption and then put in the dollar amount and then we can pay that out. Well, she figured out that she could do that even without a winning ticket and everything's still balanced on the back end in our world. But then when we got the bill from lottery then obviously we were like okay well we paid out more redemptions than what we received >> and so that's when all this started to unfold. >> Um so we're looking at um total that I can prove that she >> was $10,653 something like that during that time frame >> in on video >> every on video I got it all on a thumb drive for you. Everything on video I've got our report that shows our redemptions on our register and then the all of the redemptions on the Florida lottery terminal. Since we don't own that, I had to get that through the state. And that shows everything of what ticket she scanned, what the value is on an Excel spreadsheet. So that's login for her information. Doesn't matter. The machine is a machine. Anybody can >> The machine's a machine. Anybody can do it. But it's her scheduled shift. Uh and obviously on video, she's the only one at the liquor store cuz we usually only work [music] one person at the liquor store. Okay. So, so basically she's been taking lottery tickets, scan the bottom if they're winners or not. If they're not winners, they don't win away. If they are winners, she scans them, takes money, and she found a way to get to make a lottery ticket a winner every time. And it's been going on since July. They have a nap full of walnuts. It >> started July 2nd, I think, was the first day that we discovered it. is um so do you have like date and times written out? Do you have anything written out yet or no? >> Everything's on that thumb drive as far as it's supposed to go. >> So she's basically taking lottery tickets, scanning them. >> Don't they have to be activated first? >> They're all active because they're all, you know, for gameplay. She knew it was only a matter of time before her little secret came out. But until then, she decided to play the victim and keep up a good act. >> Sir, I didn't know for a coffee. >> I will tell you. We're trying to figure that out. I'm trying to figure out what I have. Okay. I'm going to figure out if we're taking a not taking a >> Well, I know. >> I will let you know. Once I know, I will let you know. Okay. So, can you sit down for me? >> I won't lose my kids. I have a seven and a child is in school right now [music] having an asthma attack. So >> let them figure out what's going on and >> just take a seat for me. We'll figure it out. >> You know they'll let you. >> So I just can't just go home. >> No. >> Why? >> Because allegations I guess we have going on against you. >> We're going to investigate this all. >> Okay. Well, now that they did their investigation, now they can tell us what they have going on. >> Say he had to talk to somebody else to finish going on and see what's going on. >> Well, they're providing us a verbal statement what's been going on since July. Okay. So we It's not more like you just stole a candy bar. Okay. I guess there's a question about almost $11,000 worth of lottery tickets. >> Okay. >> So yes, we're going to >> Is that something you got? >> You want to You want that back or >> She's right. Okay. >> The officer turned back to the manager, fully aware she was just trying to stall, but it didn't matter. They were getting to the bottom of this whether she liked it or not. They do instant audio redemption as a as a handy and then they put $30. We give you 30 bucks, >> right? >> Well, everything bounces in our world until the state, which we only get quarterly. The state send us a bill that says, "Hey, >> you actually overpaid. >> We overpaid. We overpaid the redemption because she figured out that she could just do that instant lottery redemption for no ticket and get whatever money she wanted out of a fake. Correct. Or no winner or loser having a ticket. Not even having a ticket. She just goes up to purchase and goes in lottery redemptions. $100 $100 ticket. >> Correct. >> You can just computerize. Is that normal practice? In my 15 years here, I've never had somebody figure that part out that they could just do [music] it without checking out. >> So, obviously something on our back end that might need to be addressed, but >> they gave her that opportunity. >> Okay. >> And then she played some online stuff, too. I mean, the online's probably a couple hundred bucks, but the rest is adds up to the, you know, $10,600 something. >> Okay. [music] Do you ever print out? >> I didn't print it out because it was just so big. I mean, you report that you uh USB that you have. What What is on it? >> I've got all the video um doing all this stuff. I have all the receipts. >> Video video security. >> Yeah, security video. Yeah. >> Time stamp dated. >> Yeah. Time stamp dated. Um I have one file that has all the video, one file that has um You okay? >> After hearing what she had done, the officer's suspicion only grew. They [music] decided to keep a close eye on her just in case she tried something even dumber than she already had. [music] But they're about to find out that she had plans of her own. >> Oh, scared the hell out of me. >> How's been, >> huh? Been out here. >> I just saw that she got up over there and you moved back. So, >> she jumped cuz she told me to make a phone call. >> So, I'm trying to think of who can I call to get my kids off. They came in and >> her children are about to get out of school. So, she was >> But I do need to stay out of >> That's what I'm trying to figure out cuz people might be able to make sure y'all. >> So, I'm trying to think who went around my house. >> I would I will try to figure it out. >> That's what I'm trying. >> So, while we're doing figuring out stuff here so you figure out what's going on. >> So, can you ask that they were just talking to me about this too much? >> I will gladly ask you. Don't worry about that. But I'm telling you right now, I'm going to be talking with them. We're going to figure out what we have going on. And you have until by the time we come in here and talk to you about what's going on to figure out a ride for your family for your kids and stuff to jail. >> There's a possibility. >> Why? >> Because apparently you stole almost $11,000 >> and like the Cory and Charles that run this store had a conversation with me and they woke me up for >> But let me like I said, let me figure out they have over here just get somebody to see if they can pick your kids up just in case if you do happen to go to jail. >> Think I'm trying to think who can I call. My family don't stay here. They say it's Georgia. Okay. Well, you need to figure out a family friend or somebody or else I can call my friends with child protection services. >> So, can I call y'all um one of the police officers that used to work with you guys? >> Can I get one? >> Used to or does charge and tell you about the meeting we had? >> Hang on. >> See, now he don't want to say nothing >> cuz he's talking with us. I told you he just can't interrupt. We're talking now. So, figure out what you're doing. Figure out somebody with your kids. Okay. >> Can she walk me in the bathroom? No, >> I'm bleeding. Like, >> no. >> She's walking with me. >> No, you're not going anywhere. >> I can't even go pee. >> No, you cannot go pee. >> Why do I supposed to use the bathroom? >> It's either you make phone calls now for somebody to get your kids. Okay, I'm helping you that or I put you in handcuffs and we just go. >> No, we're not doing that. >> So, I can We have to listen to >> It's mine. You're You're in my custody right now. You're not free to go. You're under investigative detention right now. Okay. >> You know what that mean? >> I also want to talk to >> Okay. Absolutely. [music] >> Okay. >> So, what was the >> just the extra total amount? See, we can just put >> if a police stand in front of me, they could they could deny me if you use the restroom. You got to tell them why we're in front of you. You're making accusations of you stealing $11,000 from when Dixie. >> Say it again. >> Okay. Because when I started back over here, he's saying that um $11,000 worth of lotto I took. So the police stand here. I have to pee. Like I'm bleeding. Like he telling me no, I cannot go. I just asked him. He said, "No, she can't even go with me." He said, "I have to stand here." >> Yes. >> Just for that emo to that email right there. >> Yeah. >> 223. >> She said if a female pull up me, I should be able to go. >> It has to be law enforcement. >> Y'all can't stand out the door. Ain't no bathroom. Do you have a I need a female officer. >> Oh my gosh. >> No. The thing is I'm having a female officer come here and going to search you prior to you going to the bathroom. >> No, she can search me. You want to take it? What's in my pocket? No, I'm opening my clothes. >> That's what's in my pocket. >> You're fine. But now >> these only thing in here is milk and it's bleaching. That's it. >> No, you're you are fine. Okay. >> He's saying no. I said can't go. But why don't you ask her see if she will um >> go pick up your little one just in case you do have to come up with her. >> I can't hear you. >> Okay. >> She said the same thing you said. >> What? >> I'm sorry. When the police say something to me, I'll call somebody. Despite the overwhelming evidence against her, she continued to play the victim card. What better to get out of the mess than to pretend that she had no clue about the accusation? >> She said, "As long as it's a female officer, I can go. Other than that, if it's a male, I cannot go. I have to sit here and hold my ear." >> Correct. >> So, Mr. Art, >> so they didn't tell you about the write up they gave you for that? >> What's that? >> They didn't tell you about the write up that the whole conversation we had in here cuz I had it with Charles. >> That's fun. I mean, >> but but this is about the same thing you just talking. >> Correct. Cuz at that point, we didn't we didn't know where the loss was coming from. >> He said the lot he said he said the lotto the lotto is messing up. So you whatever you're doing, you need to stop. He said cuz it's a a lot of money for that. >> And then after that it was another one for the serious money. We're on time, too. >> She really thought she was being slick, refusing to cooperate with [music] the officers and playing dumb, but she had no idea the officers were about to hit her with a move she would not see coming. >> Apparently, apparently 3 days ago, lottery police got contacted by Windixie about it. They've compiled all the paperwork and all like the files and everything for Wind Dixie. So, there's a PDF up here with like tons of information on it about video surveillance. I guess each actual um scratch off ticket, dates, times, money value. I mean, what we got like 11 grand over five months, man. I mean, that that's >> Yeah, that's that's that's corporate problem. >> Well, it's theft. It's grand >> theft. William has their own corporate that investigates [ __ ] like this. >> Yeah. >> And they charges. >> You wait 5 months to do this. Well, they just knew about it 3 weeks ago because they got alerted by the state regarding I guess basically they sent a summary or whatever and I guess they said like, "Oh, you're you're over this amount because basically each ticket has a value." So, she would go in just go to the computer and take money out without scanning a ticket. So, that hit >> and then I guess that when they found out about it, they started investigating. They contact the lottery police. Water police sent him all the information. Um, I guess he just got the rest of the information. I don't know, yesterday, today, or 2 days ago. And then I guess, uh, she's here, so nobody's talked to her yet. Um, I guess lottery police said that they have too high of a workload that they're not going to come take this and that it's just simple grand theft. And if you need him to come to the station to uh, go this way to explain all the paperwork and [music] how to read it and all this other kind of stuff, >> they've been helpful already. So, >> he'd be more than happy to come do. I appreciate that. Like I don't understand why they just don't do it, [music] but whatever. >> So, I just need you to fill out a statement form. Basically, just put your information here. >> Okay. >> Down here, put her information. Okay. >> And then, let's just make this the easy way. So, on the statement form, just write um >> on this date. At this time, I was informed of XYZ. Um, >> you begin an investigation which you ultimately determine that from this month, this day to this month, this day, employee X was doing XYZ. Um, you contact the lottery police. Uh, they went ahead and sent you over all the files. As far as video, dates, times, I'm assuming the the transactions. >> Yeah, like all the video and all the registered transaction was from us and then I had to go through the state to get the for the the lottery their lottery terminal reports. But that's what I contacted >> the scans of the actual scans, right? >> And then just say you got all that information. Um just say that um it has been determined that the total amount of of of theft from um >> you know business or whatever is x amount of dollars. Um, and then just put in there that you wish to pursue charges. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Okay. >> Cool. >> I mean, that's I mean, we don't have to go too deep into yours, >> right? I mean, I mean, everything's on the thumb drive. >> Yeah. Well, >> I know it's going to take some time to do day by day and each time. And I mean, that's a lot. >> That's what I was going to say. It's probably going to be she obviously depending on she says no. If she doesn't like an opinion of her then we'll have either lose her while we continue to work the investigation because it sounds like it's kind of in depth for months, right? So, uh once we arrest the state has 33 days to file those charges. So, if we can't really make sense of it for them, then they're going to drop it. So, >> obviously the only thing I'm worried about is restitution. So, obviously have to go through the prosecution part to get that. So, is it is it Windex that's at a loss or is it for the lottery? >> I'm at a loss for the value of the tickets. Now, the cases that I've worked for in the past is we'll prosecute for the value of the tickets cuz that's my loss and then the state goes after that person for the winnings of those fraud tickets. >> Okay. >> So, that's what usually happens. >> That's even more in depth for Yeah. >> Yeah. What's the total value for the almost >> for my loss is 10,000. Yeah. 10 10653 [music] >> for the uh just the >> for the tickets. Yes. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Yeah. Then the value for the taste is probably not going to be triple that probably. [music] >> Yeah. Depending on what you >> Yeah. So like I said just on that just kind of like just this date you found out about this you began an investigation and you know just kind of the format of it. So cuz I likely I'll be I'll be doing the initial just a brief. >> She had plenty of chances to come clean but she refused to budge. Now the officers were done playing games. The detectives were now involved and it was time to get straight to the point. If she confessed, there was no doubt she'd face the [music] consequences. >> Who do you want to do an interview? >> You have one. >> I don't really have a lot of knowledge, but I'll give a shot cuz I understand. I just want what was your what was your I know your your last name is Bird. What was your first name again? Ma'am, >> you can read my my man. Save me from the jail. >> I didn't say that. But in order for me to speak to you, okay, because you are detained, okay, because we are doing an investigation. In order for me to legally speak to you, I have to read you your Miranda warnings. Somebody said you're going to jail, okay? But I have to read these to you, okay? So, what was your first name? states that the constitution requires I inform you that you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be used in court is evidence against you. You are entitled to talk to an attorney now or have him or her present now or any time during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you without cost. If you desire to consult with an attorney first or have one during the interview, just speak up at any time. If at any time hereafter you wish to remain silent or have an attorney presence, all questions will be stopped. [music] Do you understand your rights? You you willing to speak to me? >> Go ahead. Is that a yes? >> Is that a yes? >> Okay. >> She finally admitted [music] it. She'd been taking lotto tickets without paying for about 2 months. She even explained how she'd scratch them off, cash in the winners, [music] and toss the losers. Her reason, she needed money for milk and baby supplies. But that excuse wasn't going to cut it. And she definitely wasn't getting away with it. >> Bring that later. I don't even need it. >> Come on. Can you do it out the door? >> I got to do it here. >> I don't need Stephen. All right. My arm. >> Okay. Well, I'm trying to put your arms on your >> back like this. Like you're >> Stop pulling from me. >> Hang on. Please put your hand behind your back. Okay. Stop pulling. Do you understand that? >> I don't walk down the stairs. >> Doesn't matter. You're pulling from me. [music] >> You don't do anything that I don't tell you to do. Do you understand that? >> My hand was on your car. I'm not happy. [music] >> In the end, she was convicted of felony grand theft and sentenced to 2 years of probation. But she couldn't stay out of trouble. She violated her probation and ended up serving 8 months [music] in prison. Next up was a truly dumb 21-year-old mother of three and former certified nurse assistant who stole from just about everything, even from the children's charity box at her workplace >> and all that stuff. >> Okay. Four. Yeah. Okay. >> I just have three babies. >> You got three kids? Okay. So, you said the fraud case you previously had, you said it was a few months ago. Yes, but we're it hasn't been like finished >> in reference to charity donations [music] at work. What's going on with that? >> I haven't did anything wrong. >> At 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July the 31st, 2024, police responded to a retail store after discovering a theft. An employee had been running a fraudulent refund scheme to steal money, accumulating a total of $1,900 over two weeks. it up underneath charity. >> So, the children's therapy award, she was there and then doing a refund and pocketing the money. >> So, she did that for two weeks and total was $1,900. She's on the register right now. I've got another manager in there who's supposed to pull her into the office so she doesn't get spooked and try to vul. Um, but she's in there right now stole $1,900 in total. >> So, do you have the >> We've got the CCTV footage. They've got receipts that she's wrong up. She did it on another associates's numbers, but it you can match it to the cameras and see that it's her. >> She did it on another associates's >> numbers. Yeah. Sign it. So, it's under somebody else's name, but you match the timestamps with the camera on the camera. It's It's her >> put in her pocket and stuff. >> Okay. Hey, just turn around and put your hands directly with it. So, you're being placed under arrest right now for fraud. >> I know you got a lot of questions. Everything's going to be explained to you. Okay. >> Okay. >> Mom's together. >> Like you're praying. >> Do you have anything illegal on your person? >> No. >> Knives? Anything sharp that's going to poke, cut, or anything like that? >> Where would your belongings be? Over here. >> Where >> is there a purse or something? >> Over there. Okay. Just let me know which ones are yours. >> This just leave those here. >> And my purse is right there. Okay. >> Those >> My purse is right there. >> This purse? >> Yes. Do you have anything else? >> No. Okay. Wait. Oh, not that one. >> Oh, I'm sorry. The other one? >> This one? >> This one? >> Yes. want. >> Do you want to leave that here? >> Oh, yeah. >> She was taken in for further processing and questioning, and with every question asked, her answers left everyone in the interrogation room in complete disbelief. So, you're 20. 21. >> 21. >> 21. Okay. Um, how long you been working at 7-Eleven? >> Um, I want to say almost a month. A month and Yeah, about a month. >> You said about a month or >> a little over? Yes. >> Okay. Would you where you work before this? >> Um, McDonald's. Well, actually, I was a I wasn't at McDonald's for long. I was only there for like a few days. Um, but I was at I was a CNA and all that stuff. >> Okay. Okay. >> All right. So, real quick before we get into any further into details, I just want to read you something real quick. It's kind of like procedure. Have you ever been read your rights before? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, you've been arrested before or No. >> What were you arrested for? >> Um, my previous charges um of what was it? Fraud. It was fraudulent stuff. It I can't tell you the exact charge, but I know it was >> like fraud related. >> Yes. [music] >> Okay. How long ago was that? >> Um about 2 to 3 months. I want to say >> 2 to 3 months. Okay. All right. So, uh I'll read you this real quick. Just kind of get it out the way and then we can talk further. Okay. You understand your rates? >> Mhm. >> Yeah. I just need you to say yes. >> Yes. >> Thank you. All right. Um, so you've been working in settleland for for about a month or maybe a little over. >> Uh, before that, spent a little time in McDonald's. You did a CNA. >> Mhm. >> Uh, certified nurse assistant. Okay. >> Um, all right. Do you like working at 7-Eleven? >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. Are you going to school or anything like that currently? No. >> All right. >> I just have three babies. You got three kids. Okay. All right. Um, so you said the fraud case you previously had, you said it was a few months ago. >> Yes, but we're It hasn't been like finished. I'm going through it. >> Are you still kind of going through it? Okay. >> Soon the officer dropped the hard question. A question he already had answers for. They were meant as bait, a way to measure the person in front of him. the reason why you're here today. [music] Um, obviously there there's been some concern uh in reference to charity donations at work and you know what I'm talking about. >> All right. Can you tell me what's going on with that? >> I haven't did anything wrong >> um by me starting being new. Um I work up under somebody else's numbers. Um they gave me numbers for my own register, >> but [music] they wasn't working this morning when I tried to put them in. Um, from my understanding, I mean, I was still in the system for everything, so I don't really know too much about that. [music] >> Um, >> so like numbers as as far as like kind of like >> register like Yeah, >> each employee has a different register number. Okay. >> All right. So, you kind of yours wasn't working or something like that. So, you >> She just had gave them to me. What was it? I was off yesterday. So, the day before that she gave me them. Um, I tried them this morning. They would didn't work. >> Um, so I work up under someone else's numbers. >> Okay. Is it multiple people's numbers you work under or is it >> just hers? [music] >> This one specifically? >> Yes. Whoever like is over that shift when I get there? >> Like whatever manager or something like that? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Well, she's not a manager, but she's I guess a lead. >> Okay. Like a like a team lead. Okay. >> All right. So, the first thing you said is like I mean you didn't do anything wrong. Yeah. >> And what made you say that? >> Because I haven't I mean, they wouldn't really tell me anything >> when I was up there, but >> I I haven't did anything. I'm going through too much to be >> Yeah. >> The [snorts] experienced interrogator resorted to a more subtle line of questioning, especially as the suspect denied an obvious truth, tempting her to reveal herself. >> Are you going through like just hard times right now at home or something like that? >> Not really. I mean, of course, bills, but >> yeah, everybody >> and taking care of three kids, but that's really it. >> Okay. So, what was brought up um reference to these donations? Um is I guess there's a barcode that needs to be scanned. >> Um >> and management was able to review cameras and stuff. [music] So, uh so they got you scanning the barcodes. Um, and then essentially [music] later pocketing the cash. >> Pocketing >> the cash out of the register. >> When did I pocket? >> I'm sorry. >> When did I >> uh There's apparently there were several incidents. Um, so that's that's what they brought up to us to our attention. This is why we're here right now. >> And that's that's what I'm trying to figure out cuz obviously you're saying one thing. >> Yeah. >> I know what happened. And they have they have video showing something entirely different. >> Yeah. >> So, I mean, if you're going through hard times cuz I get it. I mean, we all go through difficult challenges and stuff like that, especially financial issues. [music] I know, >> uh, you know, being a parent, you know, money can it's tough, especially, you [music] know, for you and you have other responsibilities and people to take care of >> and if if that's the case, that's something that that led you to this, like I understand. I mean, but it's it's I'm talking to cuz I want you to be straight with me cuz if you're being dishonest, then that says something totally different. And now we have videos showing otherwise. I mean, it's I rather you just be straight with me. Say, "Hey, look, I messed up. I'm not perfect." And I get that cuz no one's perfect. But if you're saying one thing and then I have evidence to say otherwise and it's not matching up, then that I mean that shows a different character. And I don't looking at you, I don't think you're like that. I mean I don't think you're that type of person. I mean you you're young. You you know you're still trying to make plans and grow, you know, I mean raise your family and I get that. I mean it's if you made a mistake, I mean this [music] is this is me talking to you. I want you to just be honest so that way we can figure out what's going on and if there's some assistance or anything like that that you know programs that can be offered like let's let's figure out what's out there that we can go with. >> I mean because >> see my only thing is cuz I ain't never been here. >> Yeah. >> Like my first time being arrested they took me straight down to what was it? Mary County Jail. So like am I under arrest? Well, right now there's [music] obviously an investigation going on. So, based off of that investigation, it's kind of pointing towards you. So, I would like to talk to you. I mean, and [music] get an understanding of what's going on. That's that's why you're here right now. >> Yes. >> I mean, cuz me just taking you to jail, what what are we achieving out of that? >> Yeah. I mean, no one gets to hear your story and this is this is your chance to come out and say, "All right, look, if you made a mistake, I mean, I get that, you know, just let it be known. But if you choose not to talk and you just want to go the route, like nothing happened, but everything else is showing otherwise, then you know the judge, if you go to trial, jury is going to see all that." And again, you don't seem like that type [music] of person. With the interrogator [snorts] moving from a confrontational to a more empathetic approach, she leaned in, whether out of curiosity or as part of another sly maneuver. >> I mean, no one's perfect, and I get that. I mean, this is your opportunity to kind of explain that and come on up. Does that make sense? >> Yeah. >> So, tell me what's going on or what happened. >> Cuz they got you on video taking cash out of the register. >> [snorts] >> So it doesn't show me it being on me. It just shows it me coming cuz I have >> regardless we have to drop money >> regardless. So I have to take cash out of there anyways every time we get big bills over big bills >> and we have to insert it and we have to do all the computer stuff anyways. >> Okay. >> So that's >> it's what I'm saying is they have video of you taking cash out of the register and then later put in your pocket. So there and then there's been multiple scans of cash donation under your name and other employees names. Uh but it's it's only you doing it on video and then later the cash is removed. Your pocket is pocketed and then the drawers are short that amount of money. >> So I'm pocketing the money. That's That's what they said to have you on video doing [snorts] >> cuz I use the red things that the red brown things that the money go in. Normally when you put it in, if you drop the money, >> literally I write on those and everything. So that's what I'm saying. I use those and I do have like stuff that I don't wrote on that I don't put in my pocket and everything. But >> yeah, >> as far [music] as like money, I don't have any money. >> Okay. All right. So, can you explain why your drawers are always short? >> I pro probably the way I rank stuff, I mean, cuz like I say, I'm fairly new. So, probably the way I run it in cuz now they got it where you have to have manager approval to do refunds and all that stuff. So, that's what I'm trying to understand. >> This is why I'm here, too. I'm I'm trying to figure out what's going on. >> Yeah. So, this is a story I'm getting from manager, you know what I mean? And >> obviously this video, >> so it's it's like that's showing one thing and then you're saying another thing. So, see how it's like it's just not matching up. >> Yeah. >> So, that's that's the confusion and that's what we're trying [music] to figure out. >> Well, I know I don't have no money. >> Okay. >> I if I but I don't have any money. >> Okay. So m so I I watched a video of one of the incidents. Okay. >> Um you didn't have any customer uh you would just have to register um by yourself you know watch you scan the barcode. It's like you entered uh information on the computer drawer open took out cash >> but see >> went off to the side. >> When I'm when I'm Oh >> went off to the side. Looks like you're counting some bills. Um, I believe I saw that vault where you were doing some drops and then you walked over and you put some cash in the paper bag >> and then later put the paper bag in your pocket. So, what happened to that cash that you put in the paper bag that you put in your pocket? >> I don't have no cash or nothing. That's what I'm saying. It It can literally easily be a cuz I also use them paper bags also to write on and I literally Like I don't have no cash. If I had the cash, I'll be okay. Yes, I got it. Whatever. But I literally because it's the closest thing to me and the receipt papers, you can't automatically just press the button and it come out. You can write on it. I write on the brown ones a lot. So, I'm always putting that in my pocket. The ones that I write on, which when they just got me, I was writing on them. Two of them. And Yeah. writing word on on the bed. >> I was just basically I had some bills to pay, but I was just making little notes on it, but [music] I didn't bring anything. >> Up to this point, she had demonstrated that she leaned in whenever the inspector spoke, but maintained her distance when responding. A clear tactic to argue and deflect, as she did with the previous paper bag question. Still, the officer was holding back more than he revealed. >> Okay. >> All right. >> But I don't have any money. Seriously, I don't have any money. >> So, but we we have you on video putting money in paper bag and putting the bag in your pocket. Like I I literally just watched the video. So, you're you're telling me something, but I I watched something entirely different. >> And what day is this? >> Um off top of my head, I don't know the date. Um, but again, I I literally just watched the video >> sir. I don't have any money. >> Okay. I can't leave my kids. I can't leave my kids. >> Yes, ma'am. You want to ask me a question? >> Um, yes. Do you do you know what is going to happen? because I have a my son is at home and he has a secondderee burn and I was supposed to have an appointment. >> Okay. Um who's he at home with? >> He's at home with my grandmother right now. >> Okay. Um how old is he? >> He's two. >> All right. Well, M um to be honest right now I have probable cause for your arrest. All right. uh based off the evidence um shows that you stole money from the business. Okay. Uh so today you will be placed under arrest for organized fraud and grand theft. Um you currently on bond? >> Yes. >> All right. There's again there's a good possibility that you're going to be no bonded. Um it's and again I I try to speak to you. you know, I mean, all like an opportunity to come forward. Um, but I'm just going to document, you know, our interview today. And again, all that [music] information is going to be up to the judge uh during first appearance. You understand? >> Okay. >> All right. So, just be patient and we'll get everything uh moving. Okay. In the end, she was charged with grand theft and organized fraud.
