Traffic Unit any idea why I might have stopped you yeah yeah yeah uh I believe I was speeding believe you're 37 M hour over the speed limit so you're 87 and a 50 uh I was in the zone I was just watching some motivation or listening to some and I was just in the zone like so you're you're watching a motiv no I was I was listening to it I wasn't watching it I was listening to it and I was in the zone and when I looked down I couldn't believe my thermometer or my thermometer my odometer well your thermometer would say you were really hot and your speedometer probably said you were really fast so either way it's high see how your registration paperwork Curr and proof Insurance neither one of those are odometer can I turn my car off yeah absolutely man yeah this thing overheats you should drive it less fast yes and and I've never had a speeding ticket and it's cuz I couldn't catch you yeah I was speeding I was oh my gosh who were you listening to for your motivation um David goggin yeah you carrying the boats he's listening to David gogins right if if you don't know if you've never read can't hurt me read it if you don't follow David gogin online follow him um that dude will motivate you to get up out of bed in the morning and and do hard things um so I mentioned him that I'm you know I'm I'm a follower and David Goggins actually reposted this video um because someone had tagged him in it and uh and and he also liked this contact so I thought that was pretty cool that um that David gogins was watching Fridays with Frank and and thought it was cool enough to repost it who's going to carry the boats man the boat dude David Goggins name is my man you ever listen to some Joo this one's one of my favorite ones um and really just because the guy said that he's listen to motivational um you know Talks on YouTube or whatever he was and I'm a I'm a big lover of some of the authors that that he said and then I gave him some of my favorite ones so it was a uh it was just it it was a good time that I get to talk about something that I really love and that I'm passionate about Jo willink I'm not familiar with them Jo another Navy SEAL he a commander test for test unit Bruiser uh ad Admiral Michael abof yes oh great dude great dude man man I was just listening morning I mistakenly got him confused with William mccraven who's another guy from the Navy um another great author another Super charismatic speaker um but I was standing at that car I got those two confused um I was incredibly fortunate that um Mr abof actually reached out to me um his sister was a fan she sent him the clip he reached out to me uh we corresponded back and forth um just I I it was one of it's what makes one of these one of my favorite stops is um this stop led to me getting um to kind of correspond back and forth um with the captain so not an admiral he's actually a captain um and now retired but uh this was the Catalyst for that and uh I'm I'm thankful for it make your bed make your bed you got to do that but there was another one we just said that I really like good stuff man I like it you were look at you man change your mind motivational speech compilation it's all my feed is man that and Joel Olstein that's what I was listening to this morning got got to get some God yeah dude I love it it's good and dude normally Joel alin's man dude that that guy's his parishioners the people that go to his church they hold it down man they killed that crazy person out there you know a lot of people too you know they talk a lot of crap about Joel H steam if you just chew on to meet and spit out the bones and just take what his what he's trying to prach instead of judging him like everything else I mean I love what what the way God moves him and you know through him and I like it man I do man I listen to that stuff all day long man I like it try some jao man listen listen to some Jo Jo Joo willing j o c KO j o it should right there Joo willing Jo y That's it man that dude's real deal super cool wrote a bunch of books extreme ownership got some dichotomy of leadership awesome man great author great speaker um that D will motivate you man he'll get you out of bed in the morning cool hopefully I turn this driver on to jao willink um I'm a huge Jaco fan um I'm I'm a big fan of extreme ownership uh I try to employ that in my own life um I've read every single book he's come out with I've I listen to his motivational stuff when I work out um is kind of a big deal to me so anytime I get to talk about him to someone and turn someone new on to ja uh I try to so hopefully this guy went down the road and popped in some Joo and it and it motivated him to be better don't watch him just listen to him yeah yeah that's why I had my earbuds in I don't know if you noticed I like that yeah but I have my earbuds in but yeah dude normally man I'm doing my best to be the best driver and well listen man that's why that's why I'm not going to take you to jail for your criminal speed violation right so still you're 37 over right so you're 87 and a 50 um so exceeding the speed limit by more than 20 mph anywhere in the state of Arizona it's considered criminal so it's check criminal here you got to go to the judge talk to him say hey Millis I I was hyped up listening to some David goggin thinking about carrying boats and logs I got excited I was I was just driving too fast all right yeah yeah dude I can't be mad dude like I mean don't be mad I was speeding I appreciate that man see your driver's license please sir I'm on I'm literally on my way to the coolage DMV to get my license so you don't have a license I I am on my way to get it right now I hear that all the time do you have any idea on you whatsoever I I do not sir I was just released from federal prison last week Friday yes sir I have a soft spot for people that know that they're going down the wrong path and like substantially change their life around so this was another example of me seeing someone who obviously went down the wrong path did some time in prison just got out he's trying to do things right just can't quite figure out how so I probably cut him more breaks than I would someone else because I I want him I want to have faith that he's going to be on the straight and narrow you don't have any idea you don't have like a like a card from prison I it's it's crazy it sounds like there's a story okay Friday I got out of prison Saturday morning or Saturday me and my lady went to the carnival and I lost the keys to our car I lost my my federal um identification card and uh my ChapStick and everything chapstick feel like in that list of things of importance chapstick is way at the bottom well I just figured everything that was in the pocket I might as well tell you you know absolutely I feel you all right so reason I stopped you is for a criminal am man of speed you're 33 mph over the speed limit sir so you're 83 sir your registration expired last year we're now in this year he was exceed exceedingly courteous to me i' I've seen this more and more um throughout my career that when people do time in prison when they come out a lot of the time these people are pretty nice um and I don't know if it's just something that's instilled in them by the Department of Corrections um that hey you should probably be a little bit nicer to law enforcement but if that's something that doc does thank you do because when these people come out of prison they're super nice and polite um also exceedingly truthful um so and and all of those things lend me to believe that this guy's going to try to get his life back together um and do the right thing so I was hoping that by me giving him a little bit of a break and not kicking him while he's down um that'll make it a little bit easier for him to to get back up on the mountain right we did confirm he did just get out of prison um and his license is still suspended from when he was before he went to pris so so there all these issues that never would have came to light if he wasn't going 33 over um we've talked but he was straightforward with me and honest and I I mean I'm not going to cut him a break and not give him a ticket but I'm probably not going to write him another criminal ticket and we're going to give him at least a chance to start getting his life back um into line but all of this could have been avoided if he just would have obeyed the speed limit you see me using an electric drill um that drill was actually sent to me by a fan who was like hey man you spend way too much time in between cars here's a drill to help you get license plates off quicker um the thing works great I it's in my car and charged right now and when I go back to work this week if someone's Plate's suspended and I have to take that plate I'm going to use that drill so this is might have been the first time that we've actually seen it on video but I use it all the time and I love it everything is wrong everything is wrong so you did 2 and A2 you're trying to get your life back straight now you're at a criminal amount of speed yes sir your license is suspended yes sir you have suspended plates on your car right like all the things are wrong yes sir but I also appreciate that you're in this weird transition spot where you're trying to get your life back yes sir so I'm not I'm not totally empathetic this I still have a job to do you're still you're still getting some tickets I'm not going to take you to jail your driver's license is suspended for a failure to appear okay so I figured you probably in prison you didn't appear okay the court I'm going to I have to be there by 9:30 because it is Tuesday open court I know I know I'm going to be in that court at 2:30 for something else so when you go there you got to tell them that you've got some issues that you need to take care of I didn't site you with the criminal speed I didn't site you with the suspended plate I didn't site you with all the other stuff that I can site you with okay so this still holds you accountable right which is a big it's a big deal I'm sure that being held accountable is something that probably in prison they were like hey man you're going to when you get out probation after this so I might not turn out as good talk to talk to them and just say man look cop was super cool he cut me a break but at the same time man like a lot of Brak slow if you're driving dirty and you know you're driving dirty 33 Mi over the speed limit probably a bad way to stay off the radar yes sir all right is that all fair yes all right all right I'm going to give you that right there that's that's where you're going is probably the Central panal Justice Court okay um and that's it
