this is another great video from Kent from alpha responder network uh the sheriff's office told Kent he could ride with me and use the video that he got to put out these videos so Kent hopped in passenger seat we rode along for a day and this is some of the stuff that he got with me right in front of the 25 mph sign [Music] awesome hi see your driver's license please um I feel like you should be wearing your seat belt I feel like seat belt sort of thing I actually just got my license you oh yeah you just got your license yeah you familiar with what those black and white signs mean yes sir I was expecting that she would be adhering to more of the law because she had just gotten her license she had just taken a test like all those right answers to her driving test are still fresh in her brain and she has nothing just uh speeding no insurance no driver's license I mean just no seat belt just nothing none none of the things that are should be freshing your mind the minute that you get your driver's license as requirements that you need to have like when do you get that driver's license like that's a there's Pride that comes with that you would think you'd carry that driver's license around everywhere I know I did um I guess it's just a different generation so she got some tickets because she obviously needed them okay now when you say you just got your license what's just like two weeks ago oh okay you are almost double the speed limit and you are at a criminal amount of speed and you're not wearing your seat well you're at your criminal amount of speed blazing down the road so that's probably not good okay do you have any ID so I know who you are Sor okay let's see if there's any other information here looking for your registration and your current proof insurance so this isn't your most current one this is from 2022 my step just moved back to uh this one actually expires in 25 that's yeah absolutely throw all those away this is the only one that you need in your vehicle is the current one and then see if we can find some insurance I don't know couple tickets for you I'm sure this vehicle has insurance on it so if you're going to be driving this I when you get home you need to have them printed out or have them send it to you electronically or whatever it is you have to have current proof with you the reason I stopped you was you a 48 and a 25 right so you're 23 mph over the speed limit r&p stand are reasonable and prudent which for you is zero because you weren't wearing your seat belt and you don't have a driver's license in possession in other words you shouldn't be operating your vehicle and you should know that because you are a literally a brand new driver and you should also be carrying your your driver's license with you also because you're a brand new driver make sure you show that to your parents when you get home and please be a better driver put your seat belt on before you go because that's required by law and you have to do it any questions about anything before I kick you loose all right thank you so so much drive safe unbelievable not wearing a seat belt doesn't have a driver's license it's 23 over the speed limit like obviously not trying to obey any sort of law at all and really seemed ignorant and apathetic could could care less about it hopefully those citations bring to light the fact that she needs to pay a little bit more attention but this road seems to have uh quite a bit of traffic on it and I mean obviously you have kids riding home from school on their bikes um so this road at this time of day is you know I mean there's horses next to the road kids riding their bikes there's more kids that are coming just trying to keep people safe that's all what's going man hey Fred hello citizen I nothing to do with me that's the rest of the panau County Sheriff's Office that that that kicks butt man I'm uh I'm just out here doing traffic stuff but the the guys that are in tan are working just as hard so it's yeah glad I didn't have my son with me wait I'll give you a sticker and tell him that you stopped and I told you to give this to him there we go hey thank you no problem man you guys have a good day absolutely you also thanks all right goodbye later I love stops like that man so much for having an unmarked car I'm parked in a parking lot in an unmarked car with no lights on person's like hey you law enforcement officer but it's cool man it's cool when people are moving here from other states and they're watching what the Sheriff's Office puts out and I mean the the amount of community outreach that we have is is awesome it's not just me it's not just the Traffic Unit but you know our anti-smuggling unit our canine unit our search and rescue guys the rock stars arresting bad people and making good people feel safe and I think that's that's what the sheriff expects us to do and and the guys that that work for this agency are really good at it and obviously that guy saw that firsthand yeah see so we slowed down now but it's far too late for that D anyone hi there see driver's license please hi hi uh no because she uh she stopped on the white line and I'd be standing in the road it would I got put me put me in danger me on that bull I watch you on now I don't need to see that well sorry about that sir I don't need to be filmed um well because you're in public you don't have that choice wow there's no expectation of privacy in I don't give a okay I sure appreciate you being Pleasant with me a nice gentleman I can tell I can tell man may I see taking this guy is immediately aggressive towards me I mean right off the bat he's just he's rude he's condescending he's aggressive he's cursing um like I don't care he's a passenger in a car you know it has the the driver was super nice we had a cordial conversation later on um it's almost amusing because that guy was so riled up merely by my presence I mean I did nothing I didn't say anything to him I mean he started right in on me so I mean it didn't didn't change any of the way that I contacted the driver cuz the driver was just sweet as pie um you know she just happened to have a terrible human being for a son and um I'm sure she knew that um you that was not a isolated incident of him being a jerk just to me I bet he's a jerk to a lot of people so I'm sure Mom knew that and you know she and I had a good conversation on the side of the road so it it didn't phase me a bit didn't change the way the traffic stop went you know I didn't write her a criminal ticket cuz her son was a jerk to me um you know it was just a just another traffic stop but I was pretty happy that Kent was there to get that on video because um it's a really good example of how terrible some people are to Law Enforcement Officers you your voice I can get my um I'm sorry you're in my air I said can you lower your voice no I cannot I can't speak any lower ma'am can I see your driver's license please well so thank you so much for being so kind and pleasant I I'm talking to myself so shut the up ma'am the reason I stopped you is you're 46 mph posted speed Li on this particular road is 25 so you're 1 M hour into the criminal range you're not going to get a criminal ticket U may I see your uh registration paperwor care impr proof Insurance all right thank you check that one out I'm going to give that one to you that's perfect it's good all the way in through until June any possibility of being no not for over 20 over ma'am no sorry hang tight for me no not everyone's friendly just pulling off the road which actually helps me quite a bit cuz then I can uh I can do a driver side approach on the next time and not have to deal with the passenger so she was stopped and cited in 2022 let's see what that was for 47 and a 35 you know normally I don't let people step out but I think I'm just going to allow that to you if you can step on back here just that we're not in between our our vehicles here unless I specifically ask someone to get out of the car we want everyone to stay in the car it just it keeps them contained um they're safeer in there we have to worry about them walking out in the traffic or anything like that um I think that Mom moved the car after my initial approach to it and then got out when I got out of my car not as a a show of aggression but to try to separate her son from me um and I I recognized it I realized what she was doing I thought it was a great idea on her part and um you know I would have went and given her her citation and dealt with her son if she didn't want to get out but her getting out of the car um I didn't interpret it as an act of aggression as I told you 46 mph is uh the speed to which I locked you out on radar coming at me um posted speed limit here is posted as 25 you are obviously not a criminal and don't need a criminal ticket so if you have any questions that this pamphlet doesn't answer about that citation the phone number right here is the phone number for the court before I release you are there any questions that I can answer for you as we stand here can I make a U-turn to go right back around where we came from as long as it's safe okay having a cameraman as as I've had for years some people just don't like being videoed um and they don't understand that out in a public place with no expectation of privacy anyone can video anyone you know in a bathroom obviously you have an expectation of privacy there in your home you know there's there's certain places and your car driving around is not one of them mom probably recognized that that he was a little bit hostile and um Wanted to eliminate that by getting out of the car which is why I allowed hers because it it quells the situation you know she's obviously not coming out with a weapon she's not coming out to fight or be aggressive but more just the opposite although normally I wouldn't that's why I allowed that one to happen in that particular situation that's very very common for for the way I do business is I'll decide right now hey I'm going to I'm going to make a stop on this vehicle and I'm going to ride a ticket for it um an absent something crazy um like a you know hey I'm on my way to the hospital I'm actively bleeding or I'm actively having a baby um something like that where I would use the discretion as the sheriff would expect that I would in the 90 pertile all the time when I stop someone with the intent to give him a ticket I I I follow through with that
