okay well this morning I had issues
backing out of the garage okay
it's it's still it's legally parked
it's been legally parked this entire
time
no I know I'm saying like cops shouldn't
be doing this what else should I be
doing then man I don't know
I am it's traffic law hey good job
though
[Applause]
[Music]
one thing a police officer learns early
in his career is that you can't please
everyone
police officers are usually called to a
dispute between two parties and most of
the time one of the involved parties
feels like they're not getting what they
want from that police officer
parking tickets are a perfect example of
the situations officers find themselves
in on a daily basis
I don't think the average citizen has
any idea how many calls police officers
respond to involving parking complaints
if an officer shows up and decides not
to write a ticket he's lazy
if an officer shows up and decides to
write a ticket he's wasting taxpayers
money
these are situations where officers
receive hate through absolutely no fault
of their own
hi um I would like to report a
unattended U-Haul
um parked in the alleyway because it's
been there all weekend I've been making
reports all weekend and it makes it
almost impossible for me to get out of
my garage since it's walking in the
garage
all right um I would prefer this new
result today because it's been there all
weekend and I've been making calls and
nothing's been done
hello hi is this
yes and this is also the Columbus Police
how are you
I'm good are you home
okay
um are you the one who keeps calling
about this U-Haul
yes okay
um it's legally parked in the alley
it's legally parked it is legally parked
it is not breaking any laws
it's it's parked across the alley from
your garage it's not blocking your
garage
yes but I can't barely back out
okay it is legally parked in the alley
you can back out and
go south
there's room
okay
it's it's still it's legally parked
it was legally parked yesterday too
and it's somebody that's moving and
they're allowed to do that
okay
do you think they're moving because it's
been there and no one's moved it well we
talked to them yesterday and regardless
it's it's legally parked
it's been legally parked this entire
time
not for what no
I'll be well back in the lowlands
foreign
I'm actually getting paid to do this
oh I know I'm saying like cops shouldn't
be doing this what else should I be
doing then man I
have traffic law
hey good job though
yeah you too man
hope Sunday treats you well
there it is people just gotta run their
mouth it's okay
hey I appreciate you thank you
I know
but he doesn't understand it's all the
businesses are actually paying me to do
this
now keep paying your taxes
how you guys doing you guys from here
okay
Ohio State yeah how does she like it
relaxing she live on campus off campus
she
[Music]
it's not a bad area
yeah
I'm not looking forward to that my kids
are 12 and 15. so I am not looking
forward to it
so I'm getting there though yeah
hi Papa hi
I know
they're horrible it's super windy oh man
yeah
nice weather this weekend it's weird for
it being what November oh yeah but I am
not complaining
you guys enjoy it yeah thank you
those people well there's there's a few
of us that still appreciate what what
you all do so
unfortunately that's a popular opinion
this area right here is that witch
I don't care I get paid the same for 13
hours today this is my only job because
all the businesses in Short North are
having issues with people parking
illegally and then it clogs the streets
and we get accidents and then everything
else and hello how are you this is this
is
okay because I already got a ticket for
him because I didn't even see the sign
only ones are the ones that say no
stopping
that's because people clog right here
and people can't make a proper turn
stuff that's when we get accents you say
like how many days you get to pay it I
keep forgetting to pay mine you're fine
everyone else forgets I really haven't
paid it's been it's been a few weeks you
better pay it
but 10 days
it says within 10 days
so you get pulled over guess what
I didn't think they were real
parking tickets what they do is they put
a block on you so you won't be able to
renew your license or registration or
anything so you don't have to pay it you
just want to get a new license
it compounds too so think about that
this week yeah I told you to remind me
she's in finance so she she should under
understand the principles or compounds
like you know what compound is at least
I didn't think they were like real
tickets
I thought that too when I was a military
and then there's just been my license on
base I was throwing my trash all the
time and then they're like they got me
with that like yeah this is a real thing
that sounds like
a little white one
if it's one of those just by an officer
if it's one of the little white ones we
have parking enforcement and they go
around and they'll write for everything
I look for people parked in handicapped
spots because just people actually need
those spots right and I look for people
that are like Park too close that way
then they can't make a proper time like
they would park there when there's a
stop yeah I could ride I could ride that
one for like two but I just get them one
so that way they know hey that's not
dude anymore
nice meeting you man sir have a good day
enjoy the weather
checked in the westbound
