reached over the fence and grabbed my son and put him on her shoulder and just start walking away. >> I just caught a little three-year-old. >> How you doing? >> I got the little boy and everybody was like, "Don't get the little boy." And I'm like, I gave it back to the mom. You look hungry. Let's get you something to eat. I said, "No, that's okay." He said, "Where do you live?" And I said, "About three blocks away." >> Kidnapping victims face a race against time for rescue. So, what happens when police arrive at the exact moment and the body cam captures a tragedy that was about to unfold? >> He's armed. >> Okay. With what? >> Um, he's got a 45 and he also has um it's a little pistol. >> Where does he hit you? >> Move my hair. It hurts. >> Hang on. >> It It really hurts. >> Hang on. Got blood on the toilet, blood on the wall, blood on the shoe, blood on the shirt, blood all over this floor right here. Here are the top five most terrifying kidnapping fails caught on body cam. Starting off with a horrifying case where a routine traffic stop turned into a race against time to save a missing 14year-old girl from a car full of adult men who claimed they were just giving her a ride. >> Step out, miss. So there's five of them and one little baby girl. I'm guessing it's some sort of trafficking thing. They said they were going to California. You guys are all going to jail. >> Everybody. >> Why >> did you know she was 14 years old? >> No. >> On June the 17th, 2024, in the middle of the night on a rural Missouri highway, troopers pulled over a black SUV after an urgent alert from Indiana about a missing 14-year-old girl who had left with unknown men. The moment the car stopped, the danger became clear. >> Driver, put your hands out the window. Oh, Jeff. Oh, Jeff. Jeff. Holy smokes. What in the world? Roll the windows down now. All the windows down now. Roll the windows down. Roll the windows down. Roll all your windows down now. Put your hands up. >> Hands out the window. >> Jeff, I can't see you. Jeff, roll all your windows down. Jeff, I can't see you. >> Okay, I'm I'm out of here. >> Roll your window down now. Roll it down. Roll them down now. Roll them down. Roll them down. Every single one of them. Hands up. Everybody hands up. Everybody hands up. >> Who's in the back? >> Okay. All right. Everybody keep their hands up. Hear me? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Well, I'm Trooper Sap. We're doing investigative sap. Okay. Anybody got ID? Are you How old are you? You're 14. Okay. All right. Don't anybody move. Jeff, do you got them? >> Okay. Start opening the door. You got ID. >> Give me ID. >> ID. >> ID. >> No. No. Put your hands. >> Yeah. Put your hands up. Hands. Thank you. What about you, sir? Your driver. Okay. Do you have a driver's license? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Thank you. Okay. One, two, three, four. I need one more ID. Yeah. ID. I got >> You got it. Okay. All right. I'm going to I'm going to pull her out. Okay. You're going to need to come out and open that seat up. >> Yep. >> No. No. No. No. No. Nope. Step out, miss. Taking. We've got her. I don't know if we need to go ahead and start putting handcuffs on people. I don't know where John's at. Hey, Jeff. I I think we need to start putting handcuffs on people right now. And I've only got one on me. I think we need to start handcuffing everybody. And I don't know where John went. Step out. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. Step out. Put your hands behind your back. See? See? Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Why don't you come over here? Come here. Sit down. All right. The troopers pushed through the chaos as they secured the girl. Meanwhile, other troopers began processing the men, fully aware they might be dealing with a kidnapping or trafficking case unfolding in real time. What made the situation even more disturbing was the girl's own account. one that revealed a level of manipulation far deeper and more sinister than a simple abduction. >> I mean, what are you doing with these guys? Go ahead and sit there. You sit there. I need cuffs. Do you have a couple sets of cuffs? >> We're in the process of securing them. Okay, call out. >> Okay, you over here. >> Kneel down right here beside him. Just kn just kneel down. >> So, you speak English? Ah, so slow. >> Okay, >> that like >> Oh god, I didn't know you had one more. I'm going to go back and talk to see what's going on. >> Yeah. >> Okay, so we got a call about you obviously. Uh, you're 14. You look 14. Why are you with these guys? >> Nothing. We're just going to California. >> California? You're without your parents' knowledge. None of these are your parents, right? No. >> Okay. That's why we got called. >> Okay. >> All right. And in case I didn't tell you, I am Trooper Sap Honduras. How did you meet these guys? >> H >> how did you meet these guys? >> Um they are my friends. >> They are way older than you. So you understand why your parents called you. You're not in trouble with your parents, but you're not under arrest or anything. Girl. Girl. Girl, girl, I'm going to guess in at some point your parents are going to want to talk to you. Do you have your Do you have your phone with you? >> Have they been trying to call you? >> Yeah. >> You want to call them while we're sitting here and I'll talk to them? >> They don't speak English, too. >> They don't speak English? >> No. >> Where are they from? >> Guatemala. >> They're from Guatemala. So, the situation is is your your parents have called. I guess they saw you had left with these guys. So, did they hurt you at all? >> No. They mean good to me. >> Yeah. Why were you going to California with them? >> To save family. >> Your family or their family? >> No, my family. >> Your family. But your parents Their parents, do they know any of these gentlemen? >> No, but I told them that I wanted to go to family. >> Do you realize you're for you're 14? You're still a kid? >> Yeah. >> And if you were my kid, I would be mad, crazy, upset, worried about you. And I'm sure they are too. Don't you think? Cuz they called. >> Yeah. >> That's how that's why we um are doing this. And I'm glad you're okay cuz I was worried that we would stop these guys and you would not be with them. That your phone would. I was really worried about you. Do you want to call your parents real quick? I mean, you can talk to them and um I can use my app if I need to talk to them. I can try. >> But I think my dad is quirky. >> No, your dad is I I doubt it. So give give him a call, please. He's not answering. >> Where does he What? It's It's 2:30 in the morning. Is he at work at 2:30 in the morning? >> Yeah. >> Where's your mom? >> I think he's sleeping. >> Okay. I'm going to step out to the back of my car and talk to another officer. Okay. Just stay right in here. I'm probably going to need some help. I'm probably going to need a lot a lot of help. There's five Hispanic. She's with them. I got her. She's safe. She says they have not harmed her, but she left with them. They're I mean the youngest, she's 14, youngest is 19 and they go up to, you know, 50 some odd year old, 54 year old. So there's five of them and one little baby girl. I'm guessing it's some sort of trafficking thing. They said they were going to California and they don't speak English. One of them kind of speaks English. There's four of only one's legal and four of them are they're all illegal. The trooper discovered that four of the five men were in the United States illegally while only the driver had a valid license. This intensified concerns that the situation was far more sinister than what the suspects made it out to be as the officers began grilling them. >> Give me your phone. >> Huh? >> Give me your phone. >> So, what is she saying? >> She's going to California family with five strangers she just met. She's 14. She looks 10. >> Oh, yeah. I've seen her. >> According to their documents, they've all got identification. Um, four out of the five is definitely 100% illegal. The other one, the one driving at least has a valid driver's license. The biggest thing I need to do now is >> call ICE. Unless you want your vehicle towed, >> we can lock up your vehicle and leave it here. Is that your vehicle? >> Yes, mine. >> Yours? Okay. >> Do you want to tow? Oh, you guys are all going to jail. >> Everybody. >> Why? Well, we'll talk about that. Okay. Either you talk to me or you don't talk to me, but you're still going to go to jail. You got a 14-year-old girl with you. >> Yeah, for the family told me. >> Well, that's not why we're here. All right. I'm ready to be off of this highway. Okay. We are going to go into town, which is just like right here. And I'm going to take you into the sheriff's department. And there's a juvenile officer lady, nice ladies that's going to come talk to you and figure out what to do in contact, be in contact hopefully with your mom where you can be reunited with your mom. You can't run away at 14, not till you're 18. >> Okay? >> And you can do what you want. Okay? 14 14 not so much. You can't be with five men that aren't that you're not supposed to. >> Okay. >> I talked to the officer that took a report from your parents and said that you told your parents you weren't coming out. Is that right? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Spanish interpreter 287. >> Okay. You're going to be speaking to Carlos. He's here with me. Why was with you? Did you know she was 14 years old? >> No. Your brother? Her brother? >> Yes. >> Is one of those gentlemen her brother? No. >> Who is her brother? Do you have children? >> Does that little girl look close to your daughter's age? >> No. >> How old do you think she looks? >> I think 17 the people the Guatemala some small guy on vacation. Do you understand you're being arrested for kidnapping? Five suspects with a possible kidnapping on a 14-year-old female. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> We've interviewed a few of them and none of them know who she is and they just picked her up to take her to work out in they've been saying Kansas. Kansas and California is kind of the places they've been talking about. All five suspects were arrested and charged with abduction and endangerment. Moving on to a disturbing case where a routine shopping trip turned into every parent's worst nightmare where Bunan Chay stalked his target through a busy parking lot in broad daylight. >> He grabbed the stroller and he's like, "Can I help you with the with the stroller?" I was like, "No, thank you. I got it." >> And then he just like kept staring at me and he started touching himself. He didn't try to touch me as well. >> And there's accusations that you tried to kidnap a child. >> No. >> No. On September the 11th, 2024 in Hobbs, New Mexico, officers arrived at a Home Depot after receiving frantic calls about an awfully physical struggle in the parking lot. The first witness they spoke to painted a concerning picture. >> Hello, sir. >> How's it going? >> Good, good. Are you the one that saw that incident? >> I didn't see the actual incident. I came over here because they were yelling and screaming for help. The two ladies in the car right here. >> Are they still in the car? >> Real quick, I want to give you the >> Let me see. Maybe I can recognize who he is. >> I'm I'm sure you will. Let me >> ponytail. I know who he is. >> Can't think of his name right now, but I've seen him. >> He was inside the store. >> Uhhuh. But uh I was over here looking at the clearance and I looked over there and I saw this lady waving her arms, yelling and screaming. Then I noticed under the truck a stroller was moving back and forth and uh they were fighting. So, okay, let me let me go over there and talk to them before they do. >> The real shock came when officers sat down with the victim herself, still trembling in the front seat of a patrol car as she began to recount exactly what had happened. >> Hello. >> Are you okay? >> Yeah, I'm okay. >> What's going on? What happened? >> Um, I noticed that we were walking out that there was a guy following us. Okay. >> And um I can't like turn you around just to make sure you know me. Once you got here, I started to put the kids in. >> Mhm. >> And I shut the door and then he grabs his stroller and he's like, "Can I help you with the with the stroller?" I was like, "No, thank you. I got it." >> Okay. And then he just like stopped staring at me and he started touching himself and looked mad down and started uh you know and then that's when I started yelling for help and uh nobody was coming >> and I guess when he heard him looking >> but he did grab me and he grabbed my mom as well. >> Okay. >> He tried he did try to touch me as well and I was able to put his shoulder in. Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. >> Did you know if he was like following you inside the store as well or it happened as soon as you came out >> in the store? I didn't notice when he walked out and I looked to look at my mom. That's where I noticed it was right there. >> Were you parked exactly like this? >> Okay. So, which way did you come in? >> I was coming from that exit. >> This one right here. >> No, that one over there. >> Okay. That way. And then came straight this way. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> You were facing him this way? >> Yes. >> Okay. Facing. Okay. 4600. >> Did he put his pants down all the way down or >> was they touching? >> I know it's going to sound a little uncomfortable, but was he touching himself over his clothing or under his clothing? >> He started rubbing and then and then he pulled them down. >> Okay. Were you able to see his private parts? Okay. I know it sounds really uncomfortable, but it's questions I have to ask. I'm sorry. >> Okay. >> Okay. And then after that happened, that's whenever the gentleman over here helped you. Okay. And then he took off. >> That actually came. But that's when he heard him and that's when he started walking off. >> Okay. And does your mom? >> Yes, that's my mom. >> Where was your mom at at this point? >> She was putting my daughter in and she started yelling for help as well. >> She was clear on that shoplifting 49. They're going to be walking to the Walgreens. >> As investigators worked the scene, they learned that this wasn't even the first time the suspect had been a problem at that location. Did you see him? >> I came when they called me out, but I was trying to get a good location because camera like cut right around this thing right here. So, if I can get him and she said she's working from over there. Hopefully, we can get him at least good images of them in case you need him. >> No, he he got a pretty good video of who he is. So, I think we we should be good with his video. >> I think I can't remember. I got to get with Jeremy our our asset protection, but I think we've had a single issue. Not that he did all this, but he was kind of touching himself and we had to kick him out of the store. I don't know if it's possible if you guys are able to either find him or get his name if we can trespass him. >> Yeah, I'm sure >> it's starting to become an issue. >> Yeah, I'm I'm sure somebody I'm sure somebody won't will recognize that. Okay, or no. I'm sure you want to press charges, right, for what he did. >> Okay, >> I think I got all the information that I need right now. Okay, I know it's a very uncomfortable situation. So, that's that's unacceptable. So, I can I can I can tell you that um we we can ID that guy and then we'll go from there. Okay. I'll keep you updated on the case. Um, what he did is a crime. >> So, I'll work the case and then I'll get a warrant for his arrest. Okay. All right. So, y'all be safe, okay? Be safe and always watch your your surroundings cuz it's it's scary. It's scary out here. Y'all be safe. Okay. Okay. So, I just have a few more questions. So, I know uh I know you mentioned that he grabbed you. Where where did he exactly grab you at? >> Okay. Did he was he saying anything to you while grabbing you? Was he walking away while grabbing you? >> Walking away while pulling >> while pulling you. Okay. Did you feel that he was trying to take you with him? >> Kind of. Yeah. But I feel like what happened? >> He wasn't like pulling me hard, but just kind of like >> Okay. >> Like jinking. Okay. Okay. >> How many times did he do that? >> Um maybe like two, three times. >> Two, three times. Okay. And that's when mom came over and pulled you or pulled him? >> Uh no, she grabbed him. grabbed him to pull him away from you >> and I was afraid he was going to do something to her >> to her. >> After reviewing multiple witness statements, the victim's detailed account and her mother's report, officers began hunting for the suspect and the search soon led them to a nearby hotel. >> Hello, anybody home? Police come to the door. >> Hey man, you got to turn down the music. >> Hey, man. >> Hi. How you doing? Keep your hands out of your pockets for me. >> Hands out of your pockets. >> Take your hands out of your pockets. >> Take your hands out of your pockets. I'm not going to tell you again. >> Take your hands. >> Take your hands out of your pocket. You're not in any trouble. We're just here for your music. >> Okay. But yeah, but when you're over here sticking your hands in your pockets. >> Okay. It's kind of kind of nerve-wracking. You know what I mean? >> I won't pick that. >> Do you have any weapons on you? Do you mind if I check? No. Pat me right off. No. No. No. No situation. I would never want that to happen. >> Okay. Can I check for weapons? Okay. >> M. I'm going to put your hand up here on the front. Relax. Relax. Relax. >> Relax. You can check me for weapons, man. >> I don't want to throw. I just want >> for what? >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. Okay. Relax. So, what's your name? >> Um. Uh. >> Don't lie about your name. >> No, that's one thing I would not under my own name. Not conscious. My name is Bang. Bun. Bunde. >> Okay. >> Could you spell that? >> Yes. >> One second. I just want to write that down. >> Sure. No problem. >> We have contact with >> Spell Chloe. B U N >> R. Your last name? >> C H A Y. >> H A Y. >> Yes, sir. >> Where do you stay at, sir? >> Yes, sir. >> Where do you stay at? >> I'm working with you. >> Okay. Do you stay here in Har? >> Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. >> What's What's where's your home at? >> Oh, Philadelphia. Cambodia. >> Philadelphia. >> So, right now right now you're being detained. Okay. Relax. Relax. >> Relax. I'm going to tase you. >> Listen to me. Yes, sir. >> I'm going to tase you. Stop. When the police tell you to do something, do it. >> Yes, sir. >> The officer soon located the suspect, Bunan Chay, who appeared visibly tense. The interrogation that followed exposed just how twisted and disturbing his version of events truly was. >> Who else is in your room now? >> It was just me laying off. every day. >> I work every day just until the day off for the first day for this week. I was so tired exhausted. I didn't know. I didn't want to was in my room. I was sleeping. That's my home. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. If you push the street, >> let me get a bag right now. Okay. I need to get the job done to get you get the job done. Where are you working? What what work are you doing? >> Minefield line mine. >> Oil oil minefield mine. Okay. So, you've been working in Hobs for two years and you've been staying at that whole that hotel or just different hotels? >> No, it's just that hotel and then we move one job then we move to the next hotel. Complete one job and move next. Complete one job then move to the next hotel. Okay. one job to the next hotel. >> That sounds beginning. Just keep doing it. >> Just keep doing it. >> Yes. >> Fair enough. >> Sounds like a lot of lot of moving around, right? >> Yeah. The job you get done and you get completed. You get done and complete it. Everything is relax, calm, cool, collect, calm, relax, >> right? So, when you're not doing work, are you just hanging around in the hotel? >> Yeah, we just in the hotel listening to music and just not doing nothing. We just [ __ ] Leave us alone. I get >> it's just violence. Please come see us. When you come see us, all we do is having money around us or >> Yes. I'm the only butter Cambodian around here and other ling. Okay. >> They butter brothers from one of the mothers, but they always my brother no matter what. >> I got you. I got you. >> Yes, sir. We always got each other. >> So, Bunan, I'm going to be I'm going to be straight with you. Like I said, I'm here to talk to you. Okay. >> I'm here with you. >> And I want to know I want to tell you what I'm being told. And I want to know if what I'm being told is right. Okay. >> So, what I'm being told by some people is that >> you >> right >> had gone over to a business near where the hotel was, >> right? >> And there's accusations that you tried to kidnap a child. >> No. >> No. So, that's not right. >> No. That is totally So, tell me what happened. >> Accusation. >> So, tell me what happened. Tell me what happened because right now I've got one side of the story and I want your side of the story. Okay. >> My side of the story is this. I was just deserve and waiting for the right moment so she had everything she want and she need that she need for the baby to be safe at level. >> Fun's story painted him as some sort of silent protector watching over a mother and child. But that narrative collapsed instantly when compared with the detailed accounts from the victim, her mother, and multiple witnesses. You were over there. >> You were just observing, right? So that I understand. >> Yes. >> And then how you started watching one particular person who had a baby. Is that correct? >> Yes. I was just making sure she good. >> Okay. >> But then she say something negative which was never happened. >> Well, what did she say? >> I can't. She say herself what she said and I say myself as what I said and where I was at. >> So you tell me what happened. Walk me through when you first saw her with the baby and you said you're telling me you were making sure she was okay. >> Walk me through from the moment you saw her until you walked away from the business. Tell me what happened. >> I walked by. >> Okay. Walking by. >> Mhm. >> Making sure she good. Okay. >> I'm good. >> Okay. One time I wish she was good and I'm good and I just leave it alone. >> Okay. You you just leave it alone, >> right? And then she started calling for help. >> Okay. >> Then I just look and then just see and I just kept walking. >> Okay. >> I just kept keep walking and she keep calling for help and then the guy came out over here. >> Okay. >> I left him alone too cuz I ain't bothe I just keep walking. Just >> How about how close were you to her when you were walking by and she started asking for help? >> It say 6 ft. I'm more than 6 ft distance. And where were you when >> I was just by her foot? >> Right there. >> Okay. When you saw her, she walked. Where did she walk when you first saw her? >> When I first saw her? >> Mhm. >> She already in the car safely. >> She was already at the car when you saw her. >> I was already Yeah. >> Okay. So, you saw her at the car and then you said you walked by >> to make to to do what? You walked by her to do what? just uh >> she was safely >> okay >> and I was safely I was safely >> just slide right go back lay down asleep. >> So you're telling me so tell me again exactly what you were trying to gain out of watching her >> what I was trying to gain >> Mhm. >> that she is going to be safe. >> Okay. >> No matter what I was any I say wrong >> anything wrong. >> Okay. >> She will always going to be safe. >> Okay. And can you describe the girl to me? >> I can't describe, but I could see in a split second where I was at and where she was at. >> Mhm. >> And just stay safe. >> So you said she was at the car. Where was she at at the car? Like if this was a car and this is the front and then this is the back. Where was she standing? >> She was standing right by the car right there. >> Like which side of the car? >> Back side. >> The back side. So the back side like the back or like the back. So the back right side if you're facing the car. >> Fine. >> So if you're facing the front of the car, back right side. >> All right. Fine. >> Okay. Just so I'm clear. You saw her. She was at the back right side of the car. Is that what you're telling me? If I'm wrong, I need you to correct me so I understand. So this is the front of the car. Point to where she was standing. The suspect claims that he backed off to avoid bothering the woman and her baby and says that when a man approached nearby, he chose to walk away and give them space. >> So, we're at the car. We're holding the stroller to make sure it's safe. Is that what you're telling me, right? >> Yes. >> We take hold of of the young lady. What are we doing there? I'm going to let you eat those Skittles and I'll be right back. Okay. Work on those Skittles for me. I'll be right back. Okay. Bunan Chay was arrested that same day and charged with attempted commission of a felony, thirdderee abduction, and indecent exposure. Here's another shocking case where a split-second decision by vigilant neighbors stopped what could have been every parent's worst nightmare in a quiet Florida community. >> What's going on? What's going on? >> And I told the little boy, um, where's your mom? And then she he said, no, no, no, no, no, no. When the mom came out, I gave it back. I gave it back. >> On November the 25th, 2024 in Hlandale Beach, Florida officers responded to reports of an attempted abduction. They arrived quickly and began speaking with witnesses to piece together exactly what had happened. >> Okay, what happened is my son was playing in the yard and I was literally sitting here in the window. He was on the couch with his tablet. Um, I just heard screaming and then she went to knock on the door and some lady that was walking by, I've never seen her in the area before, reached over the fence and grabbed my son and put him on her shoulder and just start walking away. She got to this point, the lady um our neighbor across the street came out. >> Who's your neighbor across the street? Her >> um the the short the young the older lady. >> Okay. >> And then she was walking and she she's the one who knocked in my door. Um so basically she took she took um my son and walked to this point. She stopped him. He stopped you know they stopped her and by the time I came outside she was confused and I grabbed my son. She she took off. She walked she cussed us out and she walked off but never seen her before around here. Um never seen her. I just move around here so I I don't really know over here very well. >> What was she wearing? She was wearing a white top with some shorts. She had a um sandals on her feet. Um she's blonde. >> What What color shorts? >> I'm not I didn't It's really really shorts. >> Um >> yeah, I don't like that, you know. >> I don't know. I could get the picture for from the phone, but she was wearing shorts and then she had a backpack on her back with a fire tiger and um what else? I can remember. I said she had short blonde hair. She walked towards this way and then turned that way. I was so in shock like I didn't I called my husband. He said I called the cops. >> The blonde lady, >> the older lady here saw her get the child out of the yard. And I came sprinting from over there, boo. And I like what are you what are you doing? That's >> Yeah, >> she he doesn't have parents. I'm like, remember that's my neighbor. That's that that kid that kid belongs in that yard. push and shoot and she kept on walking and I didn't get the whole thing on video, just that little part. >> Unbelievable, man. So So do your thing. Don't let me interrupt if you need me. I mean, >> yeah. Yeah, I I'll give you a car sometime. Thank you so much for everything. >> As multiple neighbors repeated the same story, the investigation moved fast with officers following a trail of evidence that clearly revealed how the entire incident unfolded. >> So tell me exactly. >> I was sitting right there. He was on um his sister's um iPad on the couch house outside in the backyard. >> Yes. So there's a window. He comes in and out. So he get a spoon and then go back to the You get a spoon and then go back to the um house. But then I saw him run towards the gate. He always running. So I thought nothing of it until the lady come and knock on my door. I'm like, "Wait, what? He was just right there." And then when I walked outside, they told me the lady picked them up. Who >> knocked on your door? >> Um, she walked away. I I >> No, not the men. Yes, she's a neighbor. >> Okay. >> Um, >> what did the neighbor say? >> She told me that this lady picked up your kids off the fence, >> like from the fence and then, you know, put on her shoulder and walked off. And I'm like, "Wait, do you know?" She asked me, "Do you know her?" I said, "No." And then the lady looked at me and she said, "Saw." And then she walked away. >> What lady? >> The person who took my son. >> She said sorry. >> I've never seen this lady before. And >> she said sorry. >> Yes. She said sorry and then walked away. And she walked off. >> And now I'm like, "Okay." I was still in shock and I grabbed my son and I walked in and I called my husband. He said, "Call the cop." And the neighbor that's on the back of us was able to take a back of of picture of her walking away from the back. And the lady said, "Sorry, just walk." She walked towards dad. I mean, we, you know, she tried to, the lady who came and knocked on my door, she was having, you know, an altercation back and forth with him. But my main um concern was getting my son out of her hand. And you know, and then once I did, she said, "Sorry," and then she just walked off. She just said, >> she looked at me in the eye and said, "Sorry," and she walked off. >> Spanish or what? She looked Spanish cuz she was talking to the lady the the older um lady neighbor she was talking in Spanish. >> Okay. >> But she was in Spanish. >> And your other neighbor that um >> the lady I don't know where she live but I do see her walk um office around here. Yes. >> Going inside. >> Okay. All right. Thank you. When officers finally tracked down the suspect, 39-year-old Pamela Monsalvi, her explanation for what happened was almost more disturbing than the act itself. >> You see her? >> What's going on? >> What's going on? Okay. >> Delta and I we're uh 25 over there. You can uh break down the box. Thank you very much. >> Okay. So, you have a kid. >> Where does is it a boy or a girl? >> One at 14. >> A boy and a girl. >> And how old is your boy? Do we have >> 20? >> I just a little 20year-old. >> All right. >> 1414. >> You guys don't feel uh 20. What's the case number? >> Delta 14. Case number 37214. 37214. >> Where you call him? >> I got a call. Um it was um >> Oh, I saw that. >> I can't even think right now. >> Two blocks to the left. >> Where you found him? So, >> he was outside. He was naked. >> He was like in with a shirt and his his everything was naked. And um I asked for the for the people around to call police and nobody would call police. And I told the little boy um where's your mom? And then she he said no. >> So where's the little boy now? Well, they were going to I I got the little boy and everybody was like, "Don't get the little boy." And I'm like, "I gave it back to the mom." >> Southvenue. >> I gave it back to the mom. >> So, his mom was there and you still took him? >> No. No. No. No. No. When the mom came out, I gave it back. I gave it back. >> And then everybody was was against um and when I said to the little boy, "Where are you coming from? What do you like to play?" Whatever. And he goes, >> "So, where was he? He was on the street, the sidewalk, way. >> No, he was outside in the playground. I go, "Where's mom?" "Hi, how are you?" And he goes, "Where's the playground?" >> And uh outside the the the the outside the um the house. >> We're going to handcuff you. Okay. The subject is built 1097 in a 2010 Toyota RAV 4 with an Illinois tag. >> Mom didn't look upstairs that can respond with Bravo 12. >> Yeah. >> I have all the >> phenomenal. >> Perfect. And then there was another gentleman who stopped me saying that he knew the mom and the kid. And I asked him, "Are you from military?" And he said that he's from the Air Force. He said, "Are you okay? Do you need anything?" And I said, I said, "Some cigarettes." And he's like, "No, come you look hungry." Let's get you something to eat. I said, "No, that's okay." He said, "Where do you live?" And I said, "About three blocks away." And I walked away. As officers listened to her insist that she was only a concerned bystander, not an abductor, they knew the neighborhood footage would soon tell the real story. The evidence against Pamela was overwhelming. Yet, her defense team still tried to frame the incident as nothing more than a tragic misunderstanding while asking the judge for a reasonable bond. The judge denied Pamela Bond and ordered no contact with the victim, no contact with any minors, and no return to the scene, leaving her in Browwood County Jail facing abduction charges and the very real possibility of spending years behind bars if convicted. If you thought that was crazy, wait till you see the next case where alert witnesses and officers combined to foil a kidnapper's bid to escape. >> Were you with a female? >> No. Put your hands behind your back real quick. Put your hands behind your back. >> What he look like? >> Uh, yellow. >> Black. Black. Black. >> Does that look like him? >> Is that him? >> Yeah. >> They said they saw a girl get out of the car, run down. She wasn't wearing a shirt. >> On May the 5th, 2022, Ohio Metro Parks police responded to late night reports of suspicious activity. At around 2:00 a.m., they spotted a shoeless man lurking in the shadows beside a wrecked car, completely unaware that they were walking into something far more dangerous than they could have imagined. >> What happened to your head? >> I got only two two. >> What happened to your head? >> Huh? >> What? What happened to your head? Are you bleeding? >> Me? >> Yeah, the top of your head. >> No, I'm good. >> Are you with anyone? No, no, >> no. >> Our children over here, so I just need to move. >> Okay. Were you with anyone? >> Sorry. >> Were you with anyone? >> Oh, no. I just want I just want to move to go to my house, you know. >> 804 radio. I have a black male. He's not wearing camo. >> He's also not wearing shoes. >> His outfit looks like camo from far away. car and move over here. >> What? What happened? How How did your car end up like this? Were you with anyone? >> Oh, man. >> Were you with anyone? >> No. You know, uh I was here like like was five. Okay. Five. >> Were you with a female? >> No. >> No. I sleeping. So, yes. >> You were sleeping and you ended up in >> No. >> Have you been drinking at all tonight? >> No. >> No. >> Each time the suspect hesitated, stalled, or shifted his story, it became clear that something about this scene was very wrong. >> Is there anyone in the car with you? >> This is my car. >> Is there anyone in the car? >> No. >> Can you open it for me? Like, open the door so I can look at it. Put your hands behind your back real quick. Put your hands behind your back. >> He was not with the female. >> Show the radio with male detain. >> 804 radio. We have one detained. >> Were you out with a female? Do you have a female in your car? >> Fuma? >> Yeah. You You mean >> Did you have another person? >> A woman? Yes. >> And as a person? >> Yes. A woman? >> Yeah. >> Kind of. >> I don't think this is our suspect. I just think it's a drunk individual. >> Who Who are >> what's going on, guys? Uh, here was a guy and a girl. She Her top is naked. >> Her top is naked. >> Yeah. Where were they at? >> Her clothes is up there. I will show you. >> Do you know where the girl was? >> Yeah. >> Hey, do did you get a look of the guy? Do you know what the male looked like? What he looked like? >> Uh, what he looked like? Uh, >> black. Black. Black. >> Does that look like him? That's him. Yeah. Yeah. >> Okay. Okay. I have a couple of witnesses. They said the black male we're out with is him. >> While one officer kept the man detained, another turned to a group of shaken witnesses whose damning testimony would blow the case wide open. >> Hey, did you get a good look of the guy? >> Not that dark, but he like Mexican. >> Was it Did it Was that the car that it looked like? >> Yeah. Yeah, >> there his car that she run from this car to >> down there in there. >> No, I haven't. They were just telling me what happened. They also don't speak English. I don't know if they can write in English. Hey, do you know how to write in English? >> Yeah. >> You know how to write? So, would you be able to fill out a statement like just like explaining what happened? >> I'm going to try, but I don't know. >> Okay. Was one of them with him? >> No, they saw it. >> You saw a female with him? >> Ran down by the stop sign is what she said. They were up here and she ran from the car. >> Did she have clothes >> from the waist waist down? >> Naked up on top. Light jeans. >> Light jeans. >> Yeah. >> Where was the female that you were with? >> Finland. >> Yeah. >> Where >> was there a female in your vehicle? my vehicle. >> Yeah. Did you have another person with you? >> Yeah, I did. >> Okay. Where she at? >> I did. Uh uh my I have a >> Where's she at? >> I run her name. >> She ran. >> She ran. Yes. >> What direction? >> My direction. >> Yeah. Where'd she go? Where did she go? >> Uh the family. I don't her name. Okay. I'm trying to ask him. >> Okay, I can explain, bro. >> Okay. Where is she at? >> Where she at? >> Yeah, >> she she was I think uh on the uh I think Detroit. >> Hey, did he hit his head? >> Yeah, it might I think it might be smart. >> Neither can I. >> Do you have ID? M can take my wallet over there. >> What was the female's name? >> I don't know. Just I tried to help her. She was on on the road. I have to help you to go somewhere. I don't know if she >> You tried to pick her up. >> Yeah. I said to her to to try to help the right. So, but she said, "Oh, help me. Help me." So, >> how did you hurt your head? I was a uh I was a uh was a black black girl. >> Did you pick her up in the park? >> Me? >> Did you pick her up here? >> Yeah. >> In the park? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, she say happy everybody. She said, "Oh, so what? What again?" So, >> yeah. >> You said you picked her up in the parking garage. >> Okay. Did you find her? >> Yes, we did find her. The ambulance is out with her right now. We have a couple officers out with her. So, she's probably really shaken up. You guys are super awesome for like staying around and helping cuz you probably have no idea how much you helped. Okay, so this Okay, just fill it out the best you can. Okay. >> By the time officers learned that medics had already found the girl elsewhere in the park, one chilling contradiction stood out. Nothing in the suspect's story matched what the witness had reported. >> They said they saw a girl get out of the car, run down, she wasn't wearing a shirt, and had on my jeans. Is he intoxicated? >> I don't think she drinking >> me. >> Yeah. >> I can I can be true. Okay. >> Okay. >> I've been I drink towards uh 1 p.m. I try to to help this girl. So she turned to give me this address. She say me move. So she call, oh everybody can help me. >> How much? One, two. >> I buy the wine. Okay. I drink that for two times. >> When I first pulled up, he was like >> under the tree like trying to like pull the branches. >> I didn't know what he was doing. >> I don't even think he knew what he was doing. All she said was that she hopped out of the vehicle, the vehicle's window when it was still weird and ran out. She said she tried to reach for the door and the door locked and she hopped out the window. >> Yeah. The the witnesses said the car was like that when they got here. >> I made this go on the road. So help me. I feel so cold. Okay. I feel so cold. >> Can you throw your feet in there real quick? Detectives turned up the pressure on the suspect and within minutes his answers slid from firm denial to uneasy admission. >> No penetration, >> but he did try to he punched her. >> He punched her, threatened to kill her. So I'm going to you. And so she jumped she jumped out. She jumped out the window. That's what he said. She jumped out the window and from there that's how he crashed the car and that so it kind of makes sense. >> But she's saying nothing happened. No, no, no physical contact getting punched. >> Yes. >> Did we ever determine if that was mud on his head? >> Okay. Yeah, cuz he was like literally like crawling under the tree when I pulled up. He was like picking the branches. Okay. Look at the bottom. Do you see that like dark liquid at the bottom? It's not on the other trees. When I pulled up, he was literally like pulling on the branches. I didn't know what the hell he was doing. I >> mean, he's probably stepping in all this mud. It's going everywhere. Maybe she pro um proposition, you know, saying, "Hey, if you take me somewhere >> like her saying, I'll do somethingual >> and then so maybe he picked her up >> and then they came." >> So, I came out here. Maybe he was starting to drive a little crazy. maybe was talking a little funny cuz obviously he is in talks and then she like okay let me out the car >> you're under arrest and we're going to transport you to jail for abduction and menacing I mean like threatening somebody >> today >> they going to examine me >> menacing not examining >> now we go to uh hospital >> now you're going to go to the jail jail. >> The suspect was placed under arrest and charged for abduction and menacing. Up next is a horrifying case where a routine welfare check uncovered a night of terror that left a woman hiding in a stranger's yard too terrified to even call for help. >> Please don't let him see me. He's armed. And then he bashed my head into the toilet and my collar bone. I think it's broken. I can't move it. You can see where blood been drugged across the the ground up here. >> He was Yeah. mounting on top of me, holding my neck and banging my head against the floor. >> There is still no physical proof that I was the one that did any of it. >> On June the 3rd, 2024 in rural Murray County, Georgia. Deputies responded to a strange 911 call about someone hiding on a porch. What they didn't know at that point was that the said individual was a woman who had barely escaped with her life after a harrowing experience with a man who had kidnapped her. >> Hands. >> Hands, get out. Hands, get out here now. Come on. Get on your stomach now. Drop the vape. Get on your stomach. Hands on your back. >> That sucks. I didn't do anything. >> 72 Murray, one female at a time. >> I didn't do anything. >> Why are you laying a freaking box on the back porch? >> My boyfriend beat me. Do you not see my hand? And my collar bones broken. That's what I came down here for. >> I just needed help. >> I just needed help. >> You just need help? >> Yeah, I need a hostel. >> Well, I'm here. >> I came here for him. >> All right. Bring your knees up to your chest. Roll on your side. Bring your knees up to your chest. >> My car's on. >> Come on. >> All right. All right, we're going to get my car. >> Mom, I'm not being arrested. >> And you're not being arrested. You're detained. >> Okay. Well, please don't let him save me. He's armed. >> Come on. I'm not going to let that happen to you. >> I'm scared. >> Ain't nothing going to happen to you. Where's he at? He's >> in this house. >> No. Across this road up on the hill. >> There's a red dodge. >> How much have you had to drink? >> Um, we drank some last night. It wasn't much. >> Okay. That's bull crap. It wasn't last night. >> It was last night. We've been up all night fighting. >> Come on. You've been drinking all morning. I can smell it. >> No, I haven't. I promise you I haven't. There. There. >> That's a car. >> Okay. He also has a white BMW. >> 51. Hold up. Right there. >> I don't want him to know where you're at because he will come. >> Let him. He wants to play stupid again. >> Get in the car. >> I didn't mean to. >> Get in the car. The woman, 29-year-old Cassidy Porch, was visibly terrified and covered in bruises as a deputy tried to make sense of what was really happening. >> He's armed. >> Okay. With what? >> Um, he's got a 45 and he also has um it's a little pistol. >> Where does he hit you? >> Move my hair. It hurts. >> Hang on. >> It It really hurts. >> Hang on. >> So, you're you come over here to get help, right? Okay. >> I didn't cuz >> All right. Well, let me uncuff you then cuz the only thing I got told is somebody had a female. >> I hear him. I think I hear is true. >> Yeah, I understand. >> Damn. I got it right. >> If he sees your cop car or an ambulance, he'll follow it and he'll he's going up there some story. His foot's broke because he kicked a table over on me last night. >> What kind of truck does he drive? >> It's a red Dodge Ram lifted. >> Hey, red Dodge Ram lifted. Should be him. >> He's still looking for me. I hear it. I hear it. He's armed. That's what worries me. He doesn't care. >> Okay. So, what happened? Why are you all bruised up? >> Because we were fighting last night. Because >> fighting about what? >> My phone. I called my dad. >> Who hit who first? >> He hit me. He threw tables and all kinds of stuff at me. >> And then he bashed my head into the toilet. And my collar bone, I think, is broke. I can't move it. I just need a doctor. >> Well, there EMS is coming. They'll be taking you. Okay. >> Hello. >> Are you Nick? >> Yep. >> What's going on down here? >> That's what I'd like to know. >> That's what we're trying to find out. >> So, I woke up. She was gone. Uh, I come outside to look. Hollered for it. Didn't see her. Didn't hear. I saw those people standing down there. I got my truck, pulled out the driveway, stopped right there. I said, "Hey, have you guys seen Cassie?" Nope. What's going on? I said I told him exactly what I just told you. Uh and then I drove down the street and back. >> So we we tried to look out for her, but she knocked on my door and took off. I could I didn't know where she went until you guys pulled up. >> Yeah. So we were looking for her >> ourselves trying to protect her. >> I don't know if you realize it or not. This is the first time >> between her and you or >> not necessarily between us, just in general. Took off to other people. She has this weird thing that it's taking off for whatever reason. >> I've been out here before and talked to you. >> I believe so. >> Yep. So, what happened? >> Uh, like I told him, I woke up this morning. Uh, the door was wide open. She was gone. >> So, can you explain to me why she's got a laceration on the back of her head and both her eyes are black. >> She was fine when we went to bed >> and her knees are scraped up pretty bad. >> So, you didn't hit her in the back of the head with anything last night or try to drown her in a toilet? >> No, sir. >> Okay. Is it okay if we go in your house and look around? >> For what? >> I just want to look and see. Uh, brother, you not go in my house without a warrant. >> Okay, that's fine. >> Not being disrespectful or anything like that, but >> can I see your knuckles? >> Yeah. Show him, too. >> No marks. >> Was anybody else here last night? >> Uh, my son. And like I told him, this isn't the first time that something like this has happened with her. >> So, was she bruised up and cut up yesterday? >> Uh, no. So, whatever happened between the time she left here and whatever she did had to have been it because we were fine when we went to sleep last night. >> I woke up at sometime like I don't know like 4 or 5:00 this morning. She had got up to get something to drink and she was perfectly fine then. Come back in, laid back down. I love you. I love you too. Blah blah blah. >> So, were y'all arguing last night? >> No arguing at all any yesterday? >> I mean, we had a couple of words exchanged, but we weren't like screaming, yelling, you know, push and shoving. No kind of argument like that. You can see where blood been drugged across the the ground over there. >> The situation escalated when Cassid's fiance Nick Carain arrived on the scene and his version of events couldn't have been more different than Cassid's. >> So, can I go in the house and look around? >> What do you want to look for? >> She's saying that she was grounded in a toilet. I just need to look >> to see if I have a toilet. >> To see if the floor or anything like that wet around it. There will be sign of the scuffle if there was. >> I guess so. >> Okay, let's go in. Is there another bathroom? >> Not one that works. >> Can I go look at it? Don't work. >> It's in my room. >> Is that okay? >> I'm just going straight in there. That's it. I ain't worried about whatever else you got. >> I'd rather you not. >> Okay. >> I don't know if you noticed how blowed up my ankle is. I rolled that sucker off those those damn steps over there last night pretty early about what I say 9:30 10:00. So, I doubt that anyone with a blow ankle is going to be doing some crazy like that. >> If you would hang up the phone call for me. >> Okay. >> Go ahead and turn around and place hands behind your back. >> Well, I'm being arrested though. >> Hey, can you give me one second? Her godfather's calling. >> Yeah, I'll put you can put it on speaker and sit on top of your toolbox. We need to figure out the truth to this because we've been out here multiple times and >> I mean, if she's beaten and I mean >> the hospital said it's worse than what we thought to. No, I'm sure. >> With Cassid's claims of a violent and an attempted drowning clashing sharply with Nick's calm denial, deputies knew that they had to find out what was behind that locked bedroom door. Once investigators secured a search warrant, what they uncovered inside transformed the case from a domestic dispute into a crime scene straight out of a horror movie. >> Well, when you hear a gun, you know I found a damn snake. And if you see me running, >> I got blood over here. Looks like maybe. I don't know. >> You can see where blood been drugged across the the ground up here. There's two ice packs right here, too. But we don't know. She don't know what he hit her with. >> Well, I got a good guess. Let me see. Look at the blood splatter right there. Yeah, he tried to clean up this for, but he missed a whole lot of other stuff. Got blood on the toilet, blood on the wall, blood on a shoe, blood on a shirt, blood all over this floor right here. >> She say if he's put anything around her neck or anything. I mean, look at this. >> Unless they had it tied up trying to stop him bleeding. >> Get it full if you think hung about throwing up. >> I don't know. I would say she probably dead if she drowned on the ground. I bet you that's what he hit her over the head with probably. >> She did say that. Uh, he ripped her shirt off and right here's a ripped shirt. >> Okay. >> The interviews that followed revealed the full nightmare Cassidy had endured throughout that terrifying night. >> Is she injured? >> Mhm. >> She got to the hospital. >> Mhm. >> She's pretty beat up. >> Really? >> Yeah. >> Well, I know he's had problems in the past with exes, so um certainly not going to defend. >> Yeah. But oh god, >> the way I do things and everything like that. Just stupid cliche stuff. He ended up pushing a wooden table over on me and threw dresser drawers at me. >> Something to do with content because we do content and stuff like that. What cleaning content? >> Content like uh like uh like only fans type stuff. >> I'm going to be honest with you. I know something physical happened in the house. >> Okay. Why do you say that? >> Because all the blood I found in the house. >> There's always been blood in that house. Now, what was the blood from? >> My head. >> Now, tell me what happened with with the head. >> That's what happened. Whenever we were in the kitchen, he slammed my head up against the floor when I tried to run from him. >> And um >> So, did you try to run out of the house? He just snatches you, pulls you. Okay. >> He chased me out. I didn't even make it outside. It was right there in the kitchen. >> You're running out the door. >> He grabs you, >> pulls you back in, slams you on the ground. >> Now, show me like how like how was he holding on to your head? Like was he over like mounted on top of you? >> He was Yeah. mounting on top of me, holding my neck and banging my head against the floor. >> Okay. Now, was he squeezing your neck? Okay. >> And uh he choked me on the bed. >> He choked me about twice. >> I don't know if you also noticed or not that her stuff was packed because she was supposed to be leaving. >> And why was she supposed to be leaving? Uh just because we kind of kind of had different goals in mind for life. Um see I I own a business. I've been trying to become somebody and make something out of my life to set an example and she just kind of doesn't have that. >> And he pointed it me. >> What kind of >> I don't even know what it is. >> Remember what it looked like? >> It's green and black. It's little. It's like this big maybe and that tall. You know, you said he pointed it at you. >> Mhm. >> How did he point it at you? Like where were we all at? >> In the bedroom. >> In that bedroom. >> Yeah. >> And what happened? Like what was going on that he >> just told me he's like I should just do off with you right now. You need I'm going to put you in a box is what he told me. >> And then I got in the shower to clean all the blood off. >> Took my head and he like put it in the toilet and like just left it in there. >> Down. >> Okay. How long did that last? M >> maybe like 2 or 3 minutes. I mean he like would pull it up and he put it back down in my hand. >> Who did she say? >> This right here. He took his back axe a hand axe. >> Mhm. >> And um he hit me with it. He turned it over and hit me with it. Not with a sharp part back of it. >> As detectives compared Cassid's detailed account with the physical evidence and Nick's vague excuses, one thing became impossible to ignore. Only one of their stories lined up. But the disturbing revelations didn't end there. Cassidy revealed one more horrifying detail, one that made the entire case even darker. >> I did have scars where he actually >> um I have a scar right here on my head. It happened about two months ago. He hit me with a leveler in my head. I don't know if >> Yeah. Did you call anybody then? >> Huh? >> Did you call anybody then? >> I couldn't. He has access to my phone. He would not give me my phone. >> Just stuff like this has happened before. she'll disappear, pop up all messed up or saying she got beat up or this or that. Yeah. >> And trying to get me in trouble because I don't know if it's just because I have a different outlook on life because I have the drive to, you know, want to be better and succeed or what it is. Uh I guess sometimes I'm a cocky, but I'll admit that. >> So, what about the torn t-shirt that I found in the kitchen bowl? >> What was that from? She has a lot of torn clothes. She has uh she likes to take clothes and she'll rip them in certain ways to use for content. >> He said his son it's time for his son to grow up. Maybe he needs to see this cuz his son's alive. >> And >> where was his son at? >> In bed. >> They got into an argument. >> They got into an argument. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Did you see anything? Did you hear anything? I'm sure you heard something cuz a lot of racket back there. A lot of stuff got broken. >> Oh. >> So >> I was asleep last night. >> You're asleep? So, you didn't hear anything? >> Not really. No. >> Levi knows what to say and what not to say. He's had to talk with his father. >> He will defend his father. >> I know. Now, when he had you on the ground, were you trying to fight back? >> Yeah. I was trying to get him off of me. >> Okay. >> Yeah. There's no way there's no stopping him. >> Explain to me how you got all the scratches on you. >> Which ones? >> All over your chest, your back, everything. >> Stuff on my torso is is from >> Okay. 100%. So, I'm going to ask you about a hanger because the deputies out there overheard you talking to the EMS workers. >> Oh, yeah. He um I'm pregnant and he talked about wanting to take care of it with a hanger. >> When was that? It's not last night. >> That was last night. >> What did he say? >> Um he just said um we go to the bathroom and take care of this right now. >> There is still no physical proof that I was the one that did any of it. Prosecutors ultimately charged Nick Cara with abduction with bodily injury, multiple counts of aggravated and family violence, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, battery, terroristic threats, and cruelty in the third degree. He received the sentence of life in prison plus 25 years. If you thought that was wild, just wait because the next case involves a man named Joseph. Caught in the act of abducting someone and stopped only because his neighbor held him at gunpoint until police arrived. >> Stop. No. I'm telling Stop. >> What the It's a little girl. >> What are you doing? >> Help me, sir. >> Hey, chill. >> I was helping a little girl cross the street >> and then the officer showed up. Yes. >> On March the 2nd, 2024, officers were called to a home after reports of a fight. Yeah, I saw two people and I I thought I actually had a black hood cuz I it it passed me southbound on 314 after I just left up there at Kenwood.
