Give it to me. >> We can do this in a minute. >> I'm in the middle of an investigation. >> I'm in the middle of a Give me your name so I can keep a name. >> Officer Tman. I told you that when we started this, >> you have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him or her question present with you while you're being questioned if you can afford to hire a lawyer. >> Body Cam Data is where we found this video. Um, they're not a big channel. They don't have a ton of followers. So, go check them out. Be a subscriber for them also. And then you can check out other videos. >> Hi there. Is that your name? All right. Well, I'm officer Tman with the St. Petersburg Police Department. I have nothing to do with a crash here. I'm here to investigate a possible criminal DUI. All right. Do you mind stepping out of the vehicle for me real quick? >> Oh, did you fall? Are you okay? >> Okay. All right. You feeling Come right on over here for me. >> Can I check your eyes? >> Okay. Do you have any contacts in? >> Yeah, I feel. >> Are they hard or soft? >> They're soft. Okay, perfect. >> St. Petersburg, Florida is where this happens. Um, they're pretty decent sized agency and they obviously have officers that are specialized in different things, very similar to how my agency is. So, if there's a crash and the regular patrol officers or deputies are taking that and they think that the person's under the influence, they're going to call a traffic unit. They're going to call someone that specializes in DUI enforcement. That appears to be what happens here. um is that uh this officer that shows up that begins this DUI investigation, she's obviously wellversed in it. Um she's well spoken. She obviously does the paperwork. She knows the questions to ask. Um so she's she's this is definitely her job. It's in her wheelhouse. Um so that's that's why you notice that there's a bunch of officers, but one specific officer is doing the investigation. That's why it's just it's in her wheelhouse. >> But with your contacts and you can see and all that. Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> All right. So you can see the green light here. >> Yeah. Okay. Perfect. So, I'm going to have you do is I'm going just have you stand there. Yeah. >> Take the light back and forth a bunch of times. Just follow with your eyes and your eyes only for me. Okay. >> Keep your head straight. >> Keep your head straight for me. Can you just straighten up? Awesome. Can you put in the middle there? >> There we go. >> Keep your head straight. So, keep your head like pointed at me, but just look with your eyes. Okay. Does that make sense? >> Listen up. Snuffle up, I guess. >> So, keep your head straight. >> [ __ ] stupid. >> Are you able to keep your head straight? Do you understand what you get what I'm saying with that? That might keep you like your face pointed at me, but just look like left and right with your eyes. Okay. >> Just making a hard time, baby. There you go. Keep following it. It's going to go back and forth a bunch of times. >> Right. >> Keep your head straight for me. Can you keep your head straight for me? >> Do you understand what I'm saying with that? Am I being clear? If I'm not, let me know. I'll give you a different direction. >> I can speak a different language if you want. >> Keep your head straight. >> Too dumb to follow. Simple instruction. >> Tell me a different message right now. >> Wait, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Tell me a different language. I don't know. No, seriously. Tell me a different language. I don't know. This one's going to go up. Okay. No. >> Just keep your head straight for me. All right. You're doing great. What's wrong with people? >> Tell me a language I don't know. >> Farsy, I bet you don't know. Farsy or Mandarin? Very difficult. Russian. >> Really? Tell me something I don't know. Do you mind if I bring you right over here? Just so we're not in the middle of the road over here. >> I don't do Okay, come on over here for me. Might start your front. >> I'm just going to bring up here. I love my clipboard up here. Come on. Y'all do what y'all got to [ __ ] do, bro. >> Ready. >> Ready. >> He's just asking if I was ready. So, >> are you ready? >> I'm ready. Are you ready? >> Are you ready? >> No. I want to make sure you do. >> I understand. >> What do you have? Okay. >> Is that correct? >> Yeah. >> Okay. And would you say you're male or female? I have to ask. >> Don't. >> It's a serious question. Are you male or female? >> Don't ask me that. >> Are you male or female? both >> like a x. This line of questioning is super normal. >> Name, date of birth, height, weight, age, all that, hair color. But when they get to gender, like it's got to be a city thing. Like, it's got to be a St. Petersburg thing where they're just like, "We have to know the gender of this person." Um, so I just thought it was weird cuz they're in Florida and I didn't think they cared there, but guess they do. >> I can give you my license, my >> I'm just asking you. >> I don't know, but I can >> like Don't hatchet me that. Don't ask me that. >> Would you say you're white, black, Hispanic, other? >> Both. All three. >> Okay. Matter of fact. >> Wow. >> What's your point? >> Check your >> uh how tall are you? >> 51. What's your point? >> How much would you say you weigh? >> 110. What's your point? >> Why you yelling, Maria? There's no reason. >> What's your point? It's not even yelling, baby. I can tell you what the yelling is. >> What's your social security number? Do you know? Oh, >> what's the point? >> She's angry. >> And what's your address? >> I hope to see you there and a phone number for you. >> You're hitting on her? >> What's going on here? >> Mhm. Hold on. I need to take a picture of your license. >> I'll give it to you. Here. Come here. >> Not right now. Then I need to finish what? >> I'll give you a call. >> Can you come? >> I like that her partners are standing right behind her. I love that. >> Give it to me. >> We can do this in a minute. >> I'm in the middle of an investigation. >> I'm in the middle of a >> Give me your name so I can keep a name. >> Officer Tman, I told you that when we started this she did. >> I need the >> I'll give it to you here in a minute. Uh, >> are you sick or injured today? >> Are you sick or injured? >> Do you have any physical defects? Are you a diabetic? >> Epileptic. >> Are you epileptic? I need to make sure you're medically okay. Are you having any issues right now? >> She's got lots of issues. >> Would you uh Are you seeing a doctor or dentist? >> Are you taking any medication? >> Seeing someone for those crazy eyelashes. >> Would you say your overall health is good, fair, or poor? You say your overall health is good, fair or poor. Is >> that a kiss? >> I'd like for you to participate in if you would like to. Do you want to participate in them? No. >> Okay. So, the first one I'm going to bring you right over here. >> I like all the backups she's got. >> This is awesome. >> Yellow line right here. You don't really often get someone that's like this that just yells and curses and is just overtly aggressive for absolutely no reason. I mean, this officer was unbelievably kind and professional. All the other officers around there were, you know, kind of quiet. No one really, you know, no one was antagonizing her. And she's just like mean and yelling and cursing. And it doesn't happen a lot. Like, it really doesn't happen often. Um, I maybe it's just maybe she's just one of those people that shouldn't drink. Like maybe she'd have just had a coke and a smile and went about her day. She probably wouldn't have been in this predicament. >> So, I'm going to put you in the starting position and I'm going to give you the instructions from there. Okay. >> Like it. >> So, I want you to put your left foot on the line for me. >> Right foot directly in front of it. >> And your right foot in front >> touching your heel to toe. >> Perfect. And your hands down by your side. And can you touch your heel to your toe on your right foot? >> No. No. Can your can your heel of >> not with your hand >> of your left foot? There you go. Okay. So, I'm going to give you the instructions. Just stay like that. Okay. So, I want you to take nine heel to toe steps down the line. It'll look like so. One, two, hold on. Not yet. Not yet. Three. You'll get to nine. You'll take your back foot off the line. Take a series of small steps to turn around. You'll take nine heel to toe steps back down the line. And it'll look like this. One, two, three. Hold on. Wait. Not yet. Not yet. Hey, you got to wait. Hang on. I need to finish the instructions for you. Wow. Those are not heel to toe. Those are like normal shrines. >> I'm sorry. Did I Did I miss the steps? >> You didn't. >> Um I didn't finish the instructions. You >> know that. But did I did I did I up the steps? >> Yes. Or do you want me to give you all the instructions? >> Did I up? I'm asking y'all questions. Did I up the steps? >> You don't need to yell. I heard you. You don't need to yell. >> Did I up the steps though? >> I wonder if she's from New York. She's got a little New York attitude. >> I'm going to use a line for Okay. >> Maybe Philadelphia. >> We'll come back over here. So, we're not even paying attention to the line. Do you mind facing me? >> Awesome. So, this next one, um, I'm going to put you in the starting position again. Sure. Sure. Sure. >> So, put your feet together for me with and your hands down by your side. And when I tell you to start, you'll pick either foot. You'll pick that foot up six inches off the ground. I want you to not yet. Hold on. >> Okay. >> I want you to Hey, bro. Hurry. >> You'll look at your toe. >> I don't think she's a bro. I think she's a >> I want you to count 100,00 1,002 until I tell you to stop. It'll be about 30 seconds. Okay. >> Hold on. Don't start yet. I don't want you to put your foot down, >> but if you do, pick it back up and continue where you left off. Okay. >> Do you have any questions on that one? No, ma'am. >> All right, hang on. >> Okay, you can start whenever you're ready. >> One. >> Look down at your toe for me. >> Two. Three. >> Can you look down at your toe for me? >> Four. Five. Six. >> Can you look at your toe for me? Look at your toe. >> Eight. >> Look at your toe for me. >> 10. What's your point, bro? >> Wow. 11. >> Oh, you got to follow. >> Sorry. Hold on. >> 11. >> 12. >> Switch foot. >> 13. >> 14. >> The one leg stand. The instructions are you raise your foot 6 in off the ground. You keep your leg straight and your foot pointed out. That's it. 6 in above the ground. Remain in that position. You look down at your toe. You count for 30 seconds. Super easy. Very simple instructions. Now, I've seen a lot of variations in this throughout my career. Now, I'm from New York, so obviously the Radio City Music Hall Rockets are a big deal in December. Maybe she wanted to try out for the Rockets. I don't think she's tall enough cuz you have to be tall to be a rocket. But that like leg kick up and every time she did it, she lost her balance so she had to put her foot down. Like that was just it's just entertaining. Sometimes fieldy test battery is entertaining. And I uh that was one of my favorites. >> Okay, you can go and stop. >> Terrible. >> Okay, come on over here for me real quick. >> Place her under arrest. It's time for you to go to the pokey. [Music] >> Go ahead and put your hands behind your back. >> There we go. >> Being placed under arrest for driving under the influence. >> That's what we like. Can somebody advise radio? I think you're on main channel. >> Uh 72 Delta. We'll bring you back to the second car back here on this side. I'll put you on the passenger side here. Actually, I'm sorry. All right, I'll do the driver's side so that we're not having to deal with the bushes. >> Lots of palm trees there. >> Seat, I got to read you these real quick. Okay, so you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be against you in the court of law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him or her question present with you while you're being questioned. If you can afford to hire a lawyer, when will be a point of represention? Uh, you can decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements. >> Do you understand each of these rights as I explained them to you? >> Do you understand those rights? >> Shut the up. >> Does you want to talk to us? >> Is that a no? >> Shut the up. >> Okay, good enough for me.
