Good morning. Hi. Good morning, Sheriff. Right, nice to meet you. >> Nice to meet you, buddy. Yeah, how's your trip? Oh, great. Absolutely great. Yeah, I had some ate at Dixie Crossroads last night. So, you got powdered sugar all over you? Both of us got powdered sugar. That stuff is great. What a great spot. >> If you haven't met him yet, this is Saint. That's Saint, huh? Uh here, if you stand right here, Frank, I'll have him check in. Come here, my bud. Come here. Saint. Hello. My bud, come here. Come here. Come check in. Check in. Oh, hello. Hi, Mr. Saint. What a good boy. Oh, you're very good. Yes, you're very regal. Yeah, you slobber a lot. Yes, he does. He's a good boy. He is a love hound, Frank. That's all he is. Oh my god, he's the biggest love hound. >> Is that what you do? You just love the pets? You have a good star. Yes. You are major. You are high ranking. >> [laughter] >> You are high ranking individual. Yeah, he was a deputy for about 2 weeks, then we promoted him. >> [laughter] >> He's got to learn the ropes. You might recognize Sheriff Wayne Ivey from videos like this. Because evil can never be dead enough. One of our deputies shot the guy 15 times, emptied a full magazine into his head. He had jumped out of a car with an AR, ambushed our deputies. One of our deputies got hit during the ambush. The other deputy did a tactical reload, come around the car, and when he came around, he was literally saving the other deputy's life. And he shot him. I knew the media would make a big deal out of why he shot him so many times, cuz it was all on dash cam. I mean, everything was on there. And so, I just beat him to the punch. >> Let there be no doubt. This individual got exactly what he deserved. And to those out there who might be foolish enough to ask why we shot him so many times, that answer is simple. Because evil can never be dead enough. It became what it is, and >> And I think that gets the point of And that's absolutely That is a true That is an absolutely 100% true statement. He's got arrested like 26 times, 26 felonies, been to prison multiple times. He ain't going to victimize anybody else, and he ain't going to hurt anybody else. So, there's no need to worry about him. Right on. I like that. I And that's That's a good reminder. You walk by here, you look at that, you know where you were. >> Oh, yeah. Yeah, it was funny because the next day, literally the next day, Amazon had t-shirts that you could buy that said, "Evil can never be dead enough." Had the thin blue line on it just like that. So, Call it capitalism. >> That's it. So, all right, guys. We will kill you graveyard dead. >> This is a a poster that that we give out. And it's from a statement I made during the no kings rallies about what would happen to people that threw a brick or a firebomb or pointed a gun at one of our deputies. If you let it turn violent, woo, you do not want to do that in Brevard County. If you flee arrest, you're going to go to jail tired, because we are going to run you down and put you in jail. If you spit on us, you're going to the hospital and in jail. If you hit one of us, you're going to the hospital and jail, and most likely get bitten by one of our big, beautiful dogs that we have here. If you throw a brick, a firebomb, or point a gun at one of our deputies, we will be notifying your family where to collect your remains at. Because we will kill you graveyard dead. We're not going to play. >> And I meant every word of it. So, clearly we didn't have any problems during that that protest either. So, I I would take that as a warning. That's I would also say that's the only warning you're going to get. >> Oh, everybody loved it. They they they absolutely understood it. They knew that you know, listen, peaceful protests are part of our democracy. And if you're going to peacefully protest, we're going to make sure you have a safe environment to do it in. But if it turns violent, game on. The people here in Brevard County who obviously stand behind you, cuz they continuously reelect you, did you get any any feedback from anywhere else, like from other parts of the country? >> I received over a thousand calls into our comm center No. demanding my resignation. Clearly they don't know how constitutional sheriff position works. Demanding the county commission fire me. I don't think they can do that. Um death threats. We got death threats that that came in. So, Wow. it's one of those where everybody got the message. That was what I wanted. I wanted everybody to get the message that if you if you try and hurt our citizens or you try and hurt our deputies, you're going to pay the price for it. And being stupid it comes with a price tag. Yeah. And so, repercussions. Yeah, so, you know, but I can tell you that everybody that was out protesting that day were out peacefully protesting. They stayed out of traffic flow. They didn't try and block cars or anything. And that's that's what we want, you know. That's your constitutional it is your right. Peaceful protests are part of our democracy. So, today we're going to have Frank be a guest spinner on Wheel of Fugitive. And Frank, if you I know you've seen Wheel of Fugitive before, Yeah, absolutely. the way this came about is one day back in 2013, I was talking to a group of our citizens, and I was telling them how many fugitive warrants we had. And I said, "You know, I'm for a big giant wheel where we spin it, and whoever it lands on, that's who we're looking for that day." And everybody clapped. And so, I was like, "Hmm, maybe that's not that bad idea." So, I field tested it with another group, and same thing. Everybody clapped. So, I went to our undersheriff, whose name is Doug Waller. I call him Triple D for Doomsday Doug, because everything I think's a good idea, he thinks a bad idea. And so, I told him I was going to do this, and he goes, "Oh, you can't do that, man. That people will be offended by that, you know, it won't go well." And I said, "Well, we're going to do it." You never offend anyone. >> Yeah, yeah, exactly. I would never do that. We did the first episode, and it reached over a million people. Wow. And I went to Doug the next day, and I said, "Hey, did you see the episode?" He goes, "Oh, I told you people would like it." And I'm like, "No, you didn't. You said just the opposite." So, the University of Central Florida actually did a study on Wheel of Fugitive. And what they found is that 88% of the people that are on the wheel either turn themselves in or captured within the first 3 to 5 days. And um we have a good turn-in rate. People see it up there, their family members, their friends encourage them to. We just had a guy a couple weeks ago turned himself in because his friend said we were harassing him, constantly looking for him at their place. So, he didn't want his friends to be harassed anymore, and he turned himself in. What a kind guy. That's Didn't matter that he'd been, you know, a fugitive like 6 months. Forget that. But he [clears throat] turned himself in. So, today I'll start it, and then introduce you, and and then all right, are we ready, everybody? This is great. >> All right, we ready? Okay, here we go. You got to got to got to have the standard start. Hello, everyone. I'm Sheriff Wayne Ivey of the Brevard County Sheriff's Office, and it's time for another great episode of Wheel of Fugitive. Now, this episode is going to be really, really special, because I got a great friend of mine. He flew in all the way from Arizona, took a little time from his duties out there as a deputy sheriff to come here and be with us. Folks, today our celebrity guest spinner is Fridays with Frank. Frank, great to have you on the show, my friend. >> I appreciate it, Sheriff. Love everything you do out there, buddy. If you haven't had a chance to check out Fridays with Frank, you got to go do it, man, because he is out there just having a good time, being a great law enforcement officer, but also spreading great information about how to be safe. So, Frank, we talked about Wheel of Fugitive. I know you flew here cuz you wanted to do Wheel of Fugitive, be a celebrity spinner. >> I want to get my hands on this. Yeah, oh, yeah. Now, you can't take it with you. You can't go back to Arizona, but you can spin it. >> fill this wheel in Pinal County, I'll tell you what. >> [laughter] >> All right, let's get it going. Here we go. Here we go. That's a good strong spin right there, boy. Right, who's going to be the lucky one? Who are we looking for? So, folks, you know how it works. If you know where we can find them at, please go to CrimeLine at 1-800-423-TIPS. You can send us an email at wheeloffugitive@bcso.us, a tip on our Facebook page, or you know what? Just call me, and I'll get the fugitive unit to go out there and kick the door down. That's what we do here in Brevard. We just kick the door down, drag them out, handcuff them, stuff them in the car, and take them out to the lodge, so to say. I like that. So, and folks, by the way, if you haven't watched Fridays with Frank, go go do it. You're going to be not only entertained, but impressed. Great law enforcement officer out of Arizona. Good friend of mine here as our celebrity spinner. Sheriff Ivey's here. We're going to do something, and they're going to love it when we Oh, you know what? I have to start recording for this work. Say your first day on the job. Is this Is this YOUR FIRST DAY? >> [laughter] >> ALL RIGHT. SO, TODAY WE'RE AT THE BREVARD COUNTY Sheriff's Office. We're going to film our April Fools' joke. All right. So, what we're going to do is Jay's going to start it off. Okay. And he's going to be like, "This is the NFL draft, so to speak." He's going to be the guy that's kind of advancing everything on ESPN, if you will. And I want you to really enunciate when you put it on, like, Yeah. Yep. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. >> And that type of thing, you know. So, uh Wow, this is this is an incredible turn of events. So, Oh, wait a minute. We need one more thing. We need one more thing. Kelsey, can you run out to my car, and where is Saint, by the way? Oh. Can you run out to my car and get my ticket book? Oh my goodness. You know how to You know how to use one of these? All right, Jay. Do you really? Uh-huh. I have to make some calls sometimes. >> [laughter] >> What's the fine for this? I get those calls all the time. Hey, so I want to write this guy a ticket. This is what he did. No problem. Hey, [laughter] open up that sheet. I'll show you what to write. >> Yeah. All right, if you're just joining us, we're here with the 2026 law enforcement officer draft. Say again? Okay. In a stunning turn of events, we have a special guest speaker, Sheriff Wayne Ivey. Yeah. Okay, bring him on up. Hey, Sheriff, welcome here. Jay, I do. I got a big announcement about a trade that we've worked out with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office uh out of Arizona and uh we we did some some serious trading for this, but uh good evening, folks. I just want to bring everybody up as you as you know, this is the Deputy Draft. We uh did a stunning uh trade with uh Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Teeple uh out there who is obviously for the people and I I want to give everybody the trade details. Uh in order to get uh one of his deputies, we have traded two of our second round Academy cadets. Motor two, Deputy Patrick Arquette, will now be going to Arizona. A Chihuahua from our shelter that's got questionable immigration status. So, ladies and gentlemen, it's my honor to introduce to you your newest Brevard County Deputy Sheriff, Friday's with Frank. Sure. Welcome aboard, my friend. >> Right on, man. Sure appreciate that. Check that out. This is uh Got your very own ticket book. Hey, hey. Step right up. >> Now we're talking. All right, I'm going to be slinging tickets. I-95's in the area, speed's a violation, we're going to be writing tickets for it. Move over, don't be camping in that left lane. I'm going to be slinging tickets. So, I got this hat on. I'm going to ride shotgun. Sheriff's going to show me around. I'm going to be writing tickets in Brevard County. So, or hey, this could be an April Fool's joke. We got you. He's staying in Arizona and we're keeping Patrick here, but slow down out on 95, drive like you got some common sense, and nobody will get a ticket. The dog's still going. Yeah, we're going to take THAT DOG. ABSOLUTELY. >> [laughter] [laughter] [clears throat] >> I AM HERE TODAY WITH DEPUTY Postalwait from Brevard County Sheriff's Office. He's assigned out here to the Port Canaveral. Yeah, Port Canaveral uh Marine Unit. Okay. I've been in the Sheriff's Office starting in '08 initially. Um left for a little bit, came back full-time in '13. And uh been on the Marine Unit since 2015. >> Port Canaveral is one of the um uh has some of the highest volume uh for passengers in the world for cruise ship cruise ship traffic. Yes, sir. No way. >> Yeah, so um we we have one or two days a week where we don't have much in, but um almost every weekend this time of year you got five to six ships in port. >> There's six ships in port now. Yes, sir. That we just while we were standing on the dock we were counting. And all of these people come and go from Brevard County. So, they're all coming and going through your jurisdiction. Yes, yeah. Holy hell. >> Our job is just to maintain um safe safe transit for the vessels. So, we make sure >> sure there's no one anchored in the in the middle of the channel and stuff like that. >> Boats broke down, you know, anybody that's riding too close to the ships. Um they've got 100-yard security zones on them while they're out to dock or you know, while they're um underway. >> Okay. Uh so, that's 100 yards is a good That's a That's a good poke here. This is a pretty narrow Yes. Yeah, it's not You're in the middle here. 100 yards on each side, you're pretty much on land. >> Yeah, especially the size of the ships uh we've got coming in and out. Um but so, we got it during the summer uh big tourist area here. We've got a lot of the We do a lot of search and rescue uh stuff. Get a lot of people that end up um you know, swimming out off the beach, get caught in the rip currents. Um especially in the storm during summertime. Um so, that's a So, do you dive also? Um I don't. We have a dive team that um uh we regularly take out. >> So, right now these people are fishing. You could stop and check them for fishing licenses and stuff, right? Cuz they're in the act of fishing. >> Correct. Yes, sir. Yeah, highly highly regulated very regulated outdoor activities. So, we can we can stop them and check the resource work. And we do the same exact thing in Arizona. If you're If you're a cop, you could check anything. So, like I'm a deputy on dove season, opening day of dove season, I'll go out and check dove hunters. You know, if there's someone fishing from a an urban pond, I can go, you know, check them out, check their fishing licenses. It's a great way to find people with warrants. So, we we definitely do we do some of that. I did it a lot more when I was when I was assigned to our um the lake patrol unit there. Um that was our bread and butter was checking people for fishing licenses, looking for warrants, stuff like that. Yeah, I've I've actually caught kingfish out in the Pelican Reef here. Oh, okay. So, yeah, so I I fished out of here. I got a buddy that lives just south of here uh in Cocoa Beach and I've come out this inlet in his boat and then went out and fished. So, I've been through here before. Yes. Um just on the uh on the personal side and uh for four kingfish uh kingfish and red snapper. So, do they have boats that they take into the inland lakes and So, we do. Yeah, we've got um some center consoles, uh some johnboats, uh aluminum uh side console >> Johnboats, huh? Yeah, it's a side console. We got a smaller 17-ft and we got a couple airboats too that we run Indian River primarily with those. Very cool. I was a I was an airboat operator there cuz we had real real super shallow. Really? And um so, my dad went to the University of South Florida. So, he ran airboats down Lake Okeechobee shooting ducks. And uh and then I grew up and I was an airboat operator. We deployed our dive team off the airboat um a lot and did a lot of searches. >> That was in Arizona? In Arizona. Yeah, so It's not a lot to think about in Arizona. >> It's No one does. >> What a great job. >> I've got one of those jobs where I kind of pinch myself every morning I get to come in and do this again. Yeah, man. This is This is a pretty cool job, man. And you don't have to pay for the gas in this thing. >> And I don't have to pay for the gas. >> That's kind of I feel the same way about driving around. Like, man, I I put a lot of miles on that thing and every time I fill up I'm like, man, I'm glad this isn't coming out of my pocket. Yeah, it's uh it's a really unique opportunity. We get to work with so many different agencies. Um and Space Force, the Coast Guard, Navy, and um just different opportunities you normally wouldn't have um other places. So, if you didn't work here, if you didn't work in the in the Marine Unit, where would you be in in Where's the Where's the next greatest place in in Brevard? Uh as far as agency or position? Um I don't know. I I think a lot of people like to come here. Yeah. Oh, no, I I think so. >> that they want to be. >> like but like if you weren't in the Marine Unit for Brevard County, where else in BCSO would you work? That's a great question. I would say aviation probably be my next draw, but I think I'm a little past the height requirement there, so. You know, I being another full-size human like you, I get that I have that same problem. All right, well, that was me in Brevard County with Sheriff Ivey. Next I'm going to head down to Miami with my boy Nick Off Duty and we'll have that video out for you soon.
