I had to go to what we're gonna do. That's what we're do. >> We are so happy you guys would have just I don't if you guys didn't I didn't know what to do. We would have been stuck here all day and night. >> No. No. You're going to I would rather die. I would rather die than >> mothers are supposed to nurture, protect, and love their children. When the most dangerous person in a child's life is their own mother, what happens when they're caught in their worst act? >> Why did you let your kid go with them? >> See, you can barely walk on your own. Are you kidding me? >> You drove your car intoxicated with your child in it. And then when we arrived, you handed your son off and started to run away because you're scared of the cops. These are disturbing moments when cops surprise the worst mothers in the act. Opening up with this irresponsible mother who turned a traffic stop into a full-blown nightmare when officers discovered that she had hidden substances on her kid. >> Is there anything illegal in the vehicle? Any illegal? Anything like that? >> Just the kids. >> What did you just do? >> Nope. We're not playing that. Stand up. Stand up. She pulled it out of her pants and put it in his pants. I hate when people involve like that. >> I hate I got an attitude with it, but that really me off when you start diving off into kids with stuff like that. That's that's ridiculous. >> On June the 6th, 2023, a routine stop for missing tags quickly spiraled into chaos when officers approached the vehicle and uncovered a chilling surprise they never saw coming. >> How's it going? >> Hey. >> Hey, Mr. Smith. This is Steven. >> Who? >> Steven. >> Okay. >> Talked to you a couple times. Okay. Uh, you don't have a tag on your trailer, >> but there is a tag. >> There is one for you >> if you put in Jerry William Howard check it. >> Okay. Well, see, I'm not I don't have a crystal ball. And if there's no tag on them, I can't make heads or tails of it. >> Yes, sir. >> So, there's not a tag on the vehic on the trailer at all. >> You got your license on you? >> No, sir. I don't hurt my hand. >> It hurt your hand? >> You ain't You're able to eat, though? >> Yeah, but I can't do like this, but my hand >> You got your driver's license? I don't know. >> You don't have a driver's license? >> All right. Step out for us. >> Can you roll this window down? Just step back here for me. So, whose vehicle is this? >> Uh, where are you guys coming from? >> Uh, we were coming from Walmart. She had to meet her mama there to get some money. Stop in here to get some ice and some water's pretty cool at the house. >> The vehicle belongs to her. >> Trailer belongs to her and her dad, but the registration's under. >> Okay. Is there anything illegal in the vehicle? Any illegal mara? Anything like that? >> Just the kids. >> There's kids in there. >> Yes, sir. >> I didn't see any kids. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. >> Hey, do y'all have a show? >> They're just documenting us what we do. That's all. And you got that many suspensions. >> What his name? Uh, pulled me over like a month and a half ago. He said I didn't have no habitual or nothing on it. >> No, I didn't say you had habitual. That many suspensions. You don't you don't have a license at all. >> You can't drive, dude. You're going to go to jail. >> I know. You know, and because of all the past arrests you've had. >> Yes, sir. >> How many times you been arrested for driving? >> For driving? >> Yeah. >> Just once? Yes, sir. >> All right. This will be number >> like forever ago. >> Okay. Well, if if you got arrested today, it' be number two. Your third one's a felony. >> It's still a felony. >> Yeah. >> Stop doing that. >> No. No. Cuz you got a DUI. >> Yeah. >> You got a Yeah. >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. 27. I forgot I did have a DUI. >> Yeah. I wasn't arrested for that. >> Look, your girl's got a valid license. >> I know. She hurt her hand and I was stupid for driving. >> She's going to have to drive. Just Just hold tight. Okay. >> From the moment officers approached her, the woman's nervous energy gave her away. She had made considerable efforts to make sure that something was being hidden and it wouldn't stay buried for long. >> She's got a valid license. Mhm. >> And of course, he doesn't he's not habitual anything. He's got one prior for uh for driving. But uh there's no reason why she can't drive. >> There was something when I walked up there and she reached underneath the seat or something. 99 is on his way. >> Okay. How many how many young is in the car? >> Okay. Y'all would step out. >> But yeah. >> Hey, your shoes. >> Am I able to use the ball? >> When we get done, you step over here, buddy. Hey, she's sitting on the pipe. >> I knew she put something under there. >> Sorry. It's really really dirty. >> Yeah. >> I don't have a vacuum because right now like we're working on getting power on our property. >> You got a medical card? >> Um, >> yes or no? >> Yeah. Okay. >> Not that I I ain't worried about I'm going to see if they'll come up here for a minute. Yeah, I do. >> Okay, you're good. You don't have anything on your bra, anything like that. I know y'all don't have or anything. Y'all able to kind of stand there and just watch. So, we can speed this up by >> Oh, no. That's a balloon. >> Okay. That's the one he's blowing up. >> Ain't nothing in the vehicle that's going to get you in trouble, too. I guess he has I didn't see anything in there. fil. She was hiding something. It was a box full. You ever need a spare tooth? That's gross. Residue in that straw. >> I don't know, but it's worth checking for sure. >> She was hiding that what she was doing. I walked. She I scared her. She didn't see me standing where I was at. I asked her if she had anything on her and she kind of looked away. So, >> you want to walk back here real quick? >> Yep. Bring your popcorn. >> I'm just going to go in front of this gold car. Um I'm super easygoing. Okay. >> I know. >> As long as you're honest with me, I can work with you. If you lie to me, there ain't nothing I can do for you. Okay. So, with that being said, there is a female coming out here. Do you have anything on you that's going to get you in trouble? >> No. >> You don't have anything in your bra? Nothing in your pants? >> No. >> Okay. She's going to come out here and check. >> Okay. >> So, I just didn't want you to lie. And >> All right. >> Go to charge. Okay. >> All right. >> As officers searched the vehicle, the woman made a reckless move so outrageous it turned a controlled stop into pure chaos. I'd buy you grab this stuff. I'm going to let this stroll. Nothing. 653 512 05. >> I know who you are. >> You ain't made good choices, have you? >> No, you're not. >> No, you're not. >> If you if you got in working on your life except making it worse. So, don't don't kid yourself. We're not trying to be mean or disrespectful, but we wouldn't be in this situation. We wouldn't be in this situation if you were driving. If you had a tag on a vehicle and you didn't have >> Huh? >> I just for a year and no one's talking with me about a tag and I was >> that name went in this deer, not out this one cuz cuz I was dealing with other things. >> Okay. >> Don't mind the You mind? I think she's got it on her. Yeah, she uh she has actually spent the night in my house. She was high school friends of my daughter and she looks 1 million times different now than what she did then. And she's telling me, she said, "Mr. Smith, you know him." I said, "I know exactly who you are." I said, "You're not making good choices, are you?" "I'm trying." I said, "No, you're not. You got narcotics in the vehicle, will you?" That's not making good choices with your kids. >> When I told her that there was a female coming that she wanted to start, oh, I got to go to the bathroom. I need to take the blah blah blah. >> Yeah. So, she she wanted to leave and go to the bathroom. When I asked her if she had anything on her, she kind of not looking right. She reaching her pocket right now or she's reaching in his pocket. >> Yet, she's reaching in her waistband. >> What did you just do? >> Nope. We're not playing that. Stand up. >> Stand up, >> ma'am. Stand up. >> Stand up. >> Stand up. >> Check his back and his waistband. >> If you just put something in him, he's going to be taken away from you. Did you or did you not? >> No. >> You didn't put anything in his pants. >> This coin purse, >> honey. I got to get this out. Okay. >> Are you kidding me? >> Really? >> Are you me? Do not reach up. >> Turn around. >> Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> I didn't ask you. I told you to put your hands behind your back. Phillip, take her over there, please. She just put that in his pants. >> I'm sorry. >> It's okay, baby. Relax. It's okay. >> Okay. Hey, listen. Stop. Stop. Stop. Hey, listen. Do you have anything else on you? >> No. >> Okay. Listen. Face the car. Okay. >> I got to search you. Nothing that's going to poke or stick me, right? The moment they saw it, the officers were stunned, disgust all over their faces. Hey, sit right here for me. Hey, what's your name? Hey, just calm down, baby. This ain't your fault. >> I'm talking to her. Calm down for me. Okay. No. Stop talking. The whole coercion of telling her what to say was right there just a second ago. I said it'll be >> You can't come out of your mouth. No, you said if they happen to ask >> and then you told her what to say. That's correct to God. >> No. No. And you want to know why there's a test kit on the hood? Because the straw that was in your seat tested positive for that's why. >> So you're probably going to jail, too. I mean, if they're stuffing kids stuff down kids pants, I told you not to. No, the girl >> just sitting there for >> Yeah. I cannot believe she was watching me. As soon as you pulled up, she I watched her put it in the back of his pants. >> What the pants or >> She pulled it out of her pants and put it in his pants. >> I hate when people involve like that, man. And I hate I hate I got an attitude with, but that really pisses me off when you start diving off into kids with stuff like that. That's that's ridiculous. >> I told her no. I'm sorry, sir. >> Well, if she Why you going to get her out of jail? >> Because I She got you. >> Yeah. And you see what she's I'm sorry. >> Can I call her to come and get us? >> You can call her here. Can you >> Can I call her to come and get us? >> Absolutely. I watched her as soon as Jesse pulled up. I watched like she wanted to give her back. She took it out of her pants and put it in his pants. What would you do? >> I charged her with child endangerment to you. Well, I don't have gloves on. You want to test this real quick? >> I could not believe. Dude, I got goosebumps all over. >> Where's it? Is it in here? >> Yeah, it's it was in the front of her pants and she took it out. I walked over there and she catched under the blue bag of >> Yes, I seen it. Um, well, they were on a traffic stop, but um, mom had put something. I honestly I'm not really sure what all that entails, but yeah, that's what it's kind of looking like. Um, but if you want to come up here and we can talk with you and then we can get them sorted out. Okay. >> Okay. Yes, ma'am. I appreciate it. >> Okay. Here you go. >> She She's on her way, honey. >> When your grandma gets here, we'll just talk to her, let her know everything that's going on, and then she can take you. Okay. Can't get no darker than that. Nope. >> He's going to go there. >> Yes. For what? For the possession of that. >> I didn't have that. >> I didn't know I was there. I was just have a seat. >> I was honest and everything's honest. >> Have a seat. >> Can the kids have my money, please? >> We'll talk about that in a minute. Just Just have a seat for a little bit. With that reckless move, she sealed their fate and any chance of walking free vanished instantly. >> What was on the fence? >> Uh, big old thing. Probably the darkest test kit I've ever seen. >> Officer Smith, I do not >> That's a positive test. >> Well, sir, I do not. >> Okay. Well, it was in that little That was a little heart in the little box. >> Yes. >> And that's what that's what it says. >> That one good. >> Yeah. >> Hey, that hurt. >> All right. Have a seat. It >> was in my seat. >> Yes. >> Even if she says it's hers. >> Yes. Have a seat. >> Mean. >> Hey, can you turn your AC up? >> In the end, the man was charged with possession of drugs, while the woman was charged with possession and endangering a minor. The woman was a reckless mother, but she couldn't be compared to Erica, a mother of three who chose booze over her own kids, banishing and leaving them to fend for themselves. >> I came over here completely but naked. completely drunk in the shower and the three kids are here unattended. >> What the calling these ass cops? >> You can't take care of your kids back. >> Why you call this kids? Cuz they're face. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Oh, I'm so scared of you. >> Please spit my face. On March the 9th, 2023, officers arrived at a residence for a welfare check after reports surfaced of a woman being under the influence, leaving her children behind with no one watching. They pulled up to the home and were greeted by the worried sister who had made the call. What they didn't know was that they were seconds away from a shocking twist that they did not see coming. >> Hi, Nubia. >> What's going on? >> So, >> I didn't get a whole lot of information. I was just told to come here to see you. >> Yeah. So, I've got a We want to stop on the porch. That's fine. >> I got a call from my sister here. I want a DCFS report. >> I will contact them. Yes, I'll need their names and stuff. I'll get that from you here. I know she's kind of dabbled in like I don't know if it's meth or heroin or what in the past. Is she still >> I She's under something and the kids are not safe. >> No. Yes. Her oldest daughter I have, she's for going to be 14, >> was involved in a car accident with Erica driving and ended up with all those issues. This was about in 2010, I believe. She's going to end up hurting one of these kids. >> I hope not. Let's go in and see what's going on. >> Yeah, because I don't >> Who all lives here? Erica and what? No one would forget. >> It's your little sister in jail thanks to your whole ass sister Nubia and your mom. I don't know. Why am I in handcuffs? >> Ultimately, Erica was charged with three counts of domestic battery, resisting a police officer, aggravated battery of a police officer, threatening a public officer, and criminal damage to property. Following up with the jaw-dropping case of Audrey, an irresponsible mother who handed her toddler to a total stranger just to dodge the cops after getting wasted. >> Why did you let your kid go with them? >> See, you can barely walk on your own. Are you kidding me? You drove your car intoxicated with your child in it, and then when we arrived, you handed your son off and started to run away because you're scared of the cops. She does not know the witness, so she left her three-year-old son with a complete stranger. >> On the 22nd of January, 2025, officers raced to the scene after an intoxicated woman ditched her car, tried hitchhiking, and handed her child to a complete stranger when she heard the sound of sirens. But the next statement sent a wave of disbelief. Reckless couldn't even be enough to define it. >> I think I got it up here. >> Wait here. That's what really me. I've got three toddlers. >> Yeah. So, when you say incoherent, do you mean possibly under the influence of alcohol? >> Anything. She's >> She can't keep a balance. >> Okay. She can't complete sentences. >> Okay. Did she say that's her son? Did she say that's her child? >> Mommy, >> is that your mommy? >> VIP. >> No, we don't know. He's three. Does he talk? >> She was talking because she has kids as well. >> So, she opened up. >> Okay. >> So, get warm in the back of my car. >> Yeah, he was. >> Yeah. Do you want to get warm? >> Come here, buddy. >> Is that your phone? >> Yeah. I'll put it on on my phone. I was just thinking >> here. Can we give that back to her? >> I'll give you cartoons to my car. Okay. >> Ready? >> Cartoon, right? >> He did mention >> Yeah. >> that they were trying to get to his dad's house. >> His dad's house. >> Cool. Cool. >> Yeah. All right. >> He was sitting closest to the road crying and screaming. >> Yep. She literally jumps. >> I'm assuming that's her car over there. >> In the lane. >> Yeah. >> And that's where I was like, "Hey, there's a child there. What's going on?" Do you have your license on you? >> Yeah. >> Can I just take a picture of it for a witness statement? >> Come on, buddy. We're gonna go to my car >> on this first one right here. >> Hi. What's up, Liam? What's up, buddy? >> All right. Let's sit in a nice warm car. Is that better? >> Yeah. >> Can you help me get to the doctor's? >> Can I help you get to the doctors? Was that where you were heading? >> Uh-huh. I I was with my daddy. You were with your daddy. Where are you? Just one moment, buddy. I'm going to get you some cartoons. Okay. >> When officers caught up with the mother, her version of events only made her look guiltier. And that was just the beginning. >> Who's the kid with? >> The black lady came here. >> So, you know who that is? >> No, I don't. Not here. I think I'm here to make a turn. Okay. Why did you let your kid go with them? >> Cuz they trusted her. >> And you don't know. You don't know her though. >> No, I don't know her. I literally ran here. >> So, can I go back? What >> right now? Do you have your ID on your >> No, it's in my car. >> Hey, I'm going to need you to take a breath and relax. This is the first Robert David. >> I'm Officer Jones, Sarasota Police Department. Okay. Do me a favor and have a seat on this curb. >> So tell me, have a seat on the curb. >> Have a seat on the curb. There you go. So talk to us. Why are we out here today? >> I ran out of gas. >> You ran out of gas. >> Maybe you turn. >> And that's your car right there. Right. >> The one that's not working. >> Okay. >> And then the gentleman got me. He said he should have given him the gas can. >> Okay. >> And that was it. >> And that was it. >> Oh, I saw her. >> Yeah. >> Why is your Is that your child? >> Yes. >> When I ran out of gas. >> When you ran out of gas. So then how'd he get out of the car? >> I carried. >> Okay. You That's making sense now. So you went down to the gas station to get gas. >> No, I did. The gas station was somewhere there. I didn't make it to the gas station. I carried him running to go to the gas station that were nice to black people that offered help. >> Okay, >> that's it. So, I said, "Okay, while wait, he's called >> What's your name, sweetheart? >> What's my name?" Audrey. >> Audrey? Spell that for me. >> Yeah, she's not making a whole lot of sense. >> Yeah. So, she was like whispering almost like like she lost her voice or something when I first talked to her. Um, she seems to have recovered now. But yeah, this guy here who was with the girl who had the child came over to me first and was like, "Yeah, she down here acting really weird." Okay. Like she's on something is what he said. >> Yeah, 100%. >> Her words told one story, but her behavior told another. And the witness's account shattered any doubt about how reckless she really was. >> You all right? >> Okay. Audrey, when was the last time you used? >> Okay. Do you suffer from any mental health conditions? >> No. >> Okay. When was the last time you did use what? any any sort of I didn't say anything specific just any sort of a >> cuz it seems to me that you you might be under the influence of something right now based off of your behavior. Would you like to get checked by an ambulance? >> No. >> Okay. Cuz something isn't something's not right. >> Well, my mother came up. I'm sick because I don't have a voice. That's fine. I l I wouldn't ask for help. I need help. >> Sure. Sure. So, here's what we're going to do. Okay. You're going to tell me from the moment that your car ran out of fuel right here. It's you, right? >> Mhm. >> Okay. Talk me from that point all the way straight through to me being right here. >> Talk me through everything that happened so I can get a full understanding. I grabbed my son and I ran until I met the two people there and then I ran him back here because he said he got gas and I was going to put gasoline for it. That is it. You can ask her. Ask her. That's it. That is it. >> Okay. >> She's my witness. I'm getting her information right now. >> What What does she say? >> So, she is saying that when she came up this way, >> little man was pretty much on the curb where he was walking. Mom jumped out, said that she had no gas, but she said that she grabbed >> child was on the curb. >> Child was in the bike lane, >> right? >> No, with mom. But mom was trying to hitchhike and get someone to get her gas, but she said she was concerned for child because mom was swaying and she believes that mom was incoherent and unable to give complete sentences when she got out with her. She took kid to go get warm in her car. >> Okay. >> And she just brought me back child. >> Okay. She said that they were driving him to dad's house. At least from what she gathered from conversation with him. Kid just told me he's going to the doctors. >> Okay. >> But he's three. >> Okay. >> Perfect. Beautiful. >> And uh also when she asked if we're going to call the cops, she looked like she's getting ready to run. I said, "No, he's got he's got mechanic pants on." >> With new information on the table, officers gave Audrey one last chance to come clean. But the follow-up was a collision course with the law she never saw coming. So Audrey, >> you failed to mention the part when you were standing here in the roadway with your child attempting to flag someone down for help. You never mentioned that to me, but the witnesses are. So talk to me about that. >> Why did you choose to leave that out? >> I'm sorry. I want somebody to stop. >> Okay. Do you have a Do you have a phone? >> It's in the car. >> Okay. Does it work? >> Yes. So, why wouldn't you call, I don't know, 911 or >> I just felt that I'm like a corner from the gas station. >> Do you know what temperature it is outside right now? >> 62. >> No, it's 45. >> Okay. So, would you think that it's reasonable to have you and your child standing on the side of the road in 45°ree weather at dusk where nobody can see you? We I I literally ran with him to the gas station just stopped. >> Audrey, I'm going to ask you one more time. When was the last time you used? >> I don't use. You've been testing it. I don't use. >> Okay. You ever been arrested before? >> Yes. >> For what? >> DUI. >> DUI. >> Okay. >> You had that in your database. >> Okay. When were you arrested for DUI? 20 2021. >> Okay. How much have you had to drink tonight? >> Tonight? No. >> Audrey, I'm going to give you one chance to be honest with me. And if you are not honest with me, this is not going to go the way that you think it's going to go. So, be honest with me. How much have you had to drink tonight? Andre, how much have you had to drink tonight? >> The famous two drinks. >> Do you want one more chance? >> No. >> To tell me what it is. I might be back. I'm not even driving in my car. >> Okay. Do me a favor and stand up. >> Stand up. Stand up. Put your hand behind. Okay. You're just going to be detained right now. I think maybe if I can get you into the warmth of my patrol car might sober you up a little bit and you can help answer some of these questions. Okay. Does that make sense? Hello. >> Mer, you hearing what I'm saying? >> Yes. >> Okay, perfect. Who are you detaining me? >> Well, right now, uh, you're going to be detained for possible child neglect. Go ahead and drop that. >> I didn't observe you in the car. Nobody's observed you in the car. So, doing the DUI route might not work out, but child, we'll see. So, come walk with me to the back of the car. See, you can barely walk on your own. Are you kidding me? Dispatch two. >> Go ahead and have a seat. >> Dispatch two. >> No weapons. >> Have a seat. It was just a pat down. You're good. Have a seat. Warm up. >> Okay. So, you see how this is concerning to me that you can't even get into the back of the car. >> I don't have my glasses. >> Doesn't require glasses, my friend. on this signal 13. >> After detaining her, officers circled back to the witness to get the full statement, then returned to Erica, only to find her attitude had gone from bad to explosive. >> All right. Able to warm up a little bit. >> Where's my son? >> Where's my son? >> Your son is with us. He's in the other car getting warmed up. Okay. >> I'm going to read you something. All right. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in court attorney. >> When am I getting arrested for? >> Do you do you understand each of these rights that I explained to you? I'll explain it. But do you understand each of those rights that I explained to you? >> What am I getting arrested? >> Okay, I'll read them again. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can it will be used. >> What am I getting arrested for? >> You're detained. And so I'm trying to read your rights. >> Detained is different than arrested. >> Correct. >> So what why am I being What am I being charged for? >> You are detained. You are not under arrest. >> Detained means you're going to take me away. >> Do you want me to continue reading your rights? >> Do you want to explain the difference? >> Okay. You have the right to remember. >> I understand that. Would you like to explain the difference? >> Having each of these rights in mind, do you wish to speak with me? >> Yes. >> Okay. Perfect. >> Hold on. >> Sorry. We're seeing if your mom can come up. >> Be going to jail today for child neglect. All right. You operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated with your child in the back and decided that instead of calling the proper authorities, uh, you would walk down the road with them at dusk in 45°ree weather. Um, okay. Does that make sense? Okay. You're drunk and you put not only your life but your child's life at risk by operating a vehicle like that. You understand? >> You understand? >> Yeah. >> No. >> Well, can I help clarify for you? >> Well, here's your ID. >> Yeah, dog. It was on the card. >> Okay. >> Okay. What did you want me to have it on my butt cheek? No, I did not want that. >> I did not want that. >> That your wife doesn't want that either. Anything else? >> Well, I was just getting ready to ask you. Do you have any other questions for me? >> Yeah, I need my mom on the freaking phone. >> Well, officers are talking to your mom right now. >> All right. Well, then you can close the door when they're done. >> No other questions? Cool. Uh, we'll pull you out to do a search on you real quick and then we'll get you down to jail. You went to the cola. >> All right, Audrey, I need you to step out of the car. >> I detained. >> I I know. >> So, shut the up. >> I have to search you before we go. >> I don't give a [ __ ] Then search me. >> I can't do that while you're in. >> All right. Well, now don't detain a if you can't search me. >> All right. We'll do this later, then. >> The officers had reached their limit with Erica. At this point, it was difficult to determine whether she remained clueless about the weight of her reckless actions because of the booze or she probably didn't care enough. >> Roger, why are you being complicated? >> Why you being >> 212 King? >> Audrey, >> what? >> What do you need? >> Well, we have to be 29th Street. We can search you. And you write fantastic search from his own stand. >> But >> my partner just said you were making that a little bit difficult. >> I took my son away from me for >> Yes. I took your son away from you. Yes. If you're going to be mad at anybody, be mad at yourself. This is what your actions led to. >> I would have walked down the road. >> You drove your car intoxicated with your child in it. And then when we arrived, you handed your son off and started to run away because you're scared of the cops. Okay. >> No, >> that's Well, >> no. I literally went to go to the gas station to pick up something. >> Regardless, >> okay, regardless of what? >> Okay, we're done having this conversation. >> Ready? Go. Hop out. Hop out of the car. Are you going to make this difficult? Okay. Stand up. You're acting like a child. You >> want yours? >> Yeah, I got you. Send it to me. >> Yep. >> All right, Cindy. We just have to ask if you have anything in inside you, on you, or anything like that, and we find it at the jail versus here. It's >> I know everything. >> All right. Well, if you know it, then nobody cares. So, shut the up. All right. Fine. Where is my son? >> He's in the backseat of my car. >> I know. I don't care what you say. Shut the up. Where's my son? >> I've told you now three times. It's in the back. >> Where's my mom? Can I see him? >> No. >> No. No. You may not. >> Did my mom answer the phone? >> No, she didn't. >> Have a seat in the car. >> Have a seat in the car. What else am I going to do? Eric, >> slide in. >> Maybe you >> do you need a little help? There you go. >> Where is my mom? >> I don't know. She's not answering the phone >> because she's asleep. >> Okay. The state's been notified. If we can't find a parent or I'm sorry, your his father or your mother, the state will take custody. >> Lean back. >> No. There you go. Okay, that's how you want to do it this way. I've got one seat belt on for policy purposes. >> Worried for the toddler's safety, officers made one final call to Audrey's mother before the ride to jail began. >> All right, so what happened? >> So, we got a call for a suspicious incident involving mom and child. So, we got a call for a suspicious incident about a woman who was walking in the middle of the median, trying to get a four-year-old to come towards her, towards the road, and then pulling him out of the road. So, that's what we got called out for. We get on scene, and we meet with mom, but the three-year-old is nowhere to be seen. So, I go canvasing the area and I found a passer by, someone who called in that mom was in the median with trying to get the child to come to the road. She said that mom and child were walking down the sidewalk. Kid was closer to the road than mom was. She was hitchhiking trying to get gas for her car that she ran out. Um and the witness said that when the mom saw cops, she said, "Watch my son." And left and booked it from the witness. She does not know the witness. So, she left her three-year-old son with a complete stranger. Um, the stranger didn't take son, left, uh, stayed on scene and waited for officers to arrive. And she told us that the mom is incoherent. We can smell alcohol on her breath. Um, and she will be going to jail today for child neglect. >> 427. >> Okay. Was mom originally asking the person like for money for gas? Is that how like is that how they started? The person pulled over to the side of the road because they were concerned for the child because of how close he was to the roadway. That's why they pulled over. And then when they got in contact with mom, mom was like, "I ran out of gas for my car." But she said the way she was talking, the way she was swaying that the witness said that she thought mom was maybe under the influence of something. She didn't quite say alcohol, but she thought she was under the influence of something. And that's why she stayed with the mom and the child until mom decided to book it away from the child and stranger to go talk to cops. Okay. >> All right. Anybody know does mom have history of her alcohol abuse? >> She does have one uh previous DUI arrest. >> Closing out the case. Audrey was charged with driving under the influence and neglect of a young person. Just when you thought that you had seen it all, you get to meet Annie, a reckless mother whose drunken joy ride pushed past the limit. Even as her terrified kids begged her to stop. >> My kids are going to freak out. They're going to freak out. They're going to freak out. >> Yep. Arrest me. No. Arrest me. Go do what you have to do. Me, too. >> You want to freak out? >> Our mom can't. We told her I'm back in there. We are so happy you guys should have just I don't if you guys didn't I didn't know what to do. We would have been stuck here all day and night. >> On the 9th of July 2022, officers responded to a frantic call about a woman speeding wildly as her kids leapt from the car, screaming for help. But nothing could have prepared them for the chilling turn the scene was about to take. >> What's going on? >> No. >> Come on. Step back here for me. >> Here you go. There you go. >> All right. Come over here. >> Stay right here. Ma'am. Ma'am. Right here. >> I'm not I'm not I'm stopping. >> What's going on? >> I'm done. >> I don't know what's going on. >> Call for officer. >> Yeah. That's 14. They have two two more units. There's three kids in the car screaming. >> Mommy. Mommy. Ma'am, what's your name? >> Danny. Go ahead. >> What's going on? >> Can you please call Craig? >> Who's Craig? >> My boyfriend Lee called to get them. >> Okay. >> Do you promise or no? >> I don't know what's going on. Come here. >> What do you want to know? Like >> 274 echo. Did you do 26? >> Oh, it's hot. >> All right. Well, here. Put your sandal on. >> No, I'm not right here. >> No, they're not okay. They're not going to be okay. Please call me. >> Okay. All right. All right. >> What's going on? >> No. >> Annie, come on. Come on over here. >> You are not like you're not going to be able to stop. >> Annie, come over here. Please. >> No. >> Come on over here so I can talk to you. >> I don't even know what's going on. Come on over here. >> You don't understand. You >> I I have kids. Let me here. Say 10 12 with the kids. Oh my god. You're going to up my kids. You're going to [ __ ] up my kids. Yes, you are. You're going to my kids. >> What's going on? >> Will you please call a number? >> What's going on? >> Ma'am, what's going on? >> Please call a number to come. I mean, turn off. You already got him. I can't even. >> Will you please? I'm begging you. >> Yes. I had to figure out what's going on now. Then figure out first what to call. My kids are going to freak out. They're gonna freak out. They're gonna freak out. >> They already want some water. >> We have some drinks in our in the back of our car. >> All right. Just hang tight. Okay. Sit right here. He's going to get you some water. Okay. >> You want to go sit back and >> No, I'm I'm already going to get admitted. Well, who is my kids taken care of? >> I made it in a wear. >> I don't know. >> Do Do you need help? >> No, I don't. But it's just like what people do and men do to women in my position. They're going to put it in. >> I see. I knew it. >> Yeah. Well, her name's Annie, I guess. Figure out what's going on. >> Annie's chaos only grew louder, forcing officers to act fast when deescalation turned into a losing battle. Please get them. They're going to freak out. Please won't. I can hear you. They're over there. It's okay. No, I They're going to freak out. What's your Get Craig. >> Annie, what's your address? >> What does it matter? >> What's your address, Annie? >> Annie, what's your >> Just throw me in jail. Throw me in prison. >> Why would that feel? Just take care of my kids. Please take care of my kids. I don't even care. Take care of my Craig. >> Annie, what's your phone number? >> No. Give me my phone number. I don't care. >> All right. What's your phone number, Annie? >> You have Craig? >> Yep. I have Craig's I have Craig's phone number. You gave me Craig's phone number. >> Have you contacted him? >> Not yet. >> Can you tell me what's going on? >> Nope. Not until you contact him. >> Okay. Well, I'm not I can't contact him. Unless >> I can't help you until you contact my kid. I can hear him screaming. My kid and he That's their dad. That's their dad. I can hear him. I can hear him. That's their dad. Get their dad. No. >> Your dad's not here. >> Arrest him. Arrest me. >> Yep. Arrest me. No. Arrest me. Go do what you have to do. Go. Get your dad. >> All right. You're being detained right now. >> No. Get their hands behind your back. >> I won't until you get their being detained right now. >> Okay. Well, I don't care. I don't care what I'm being. Dad is there. Dad, please. Yeah, you are going to help them. You are going to help them, Mario. No, of course not. >> Stop moving so I can lock these handcuffs so they don't get tighter. All right. You don't want them to get tighter on you. >> Of course not. Cuz I love them. >> Can you stop moving? >> Of course. >> Harder, softer, slower. Go find their dad. >> I can't even hear. Just arrest me. That's fine. >> All right, let's go. >> No, you put in the back. >> Yeah. >> Even in calves, Danny wasn't done. She was hellbent on turning the entire ordeal into a full-blown nightmare for the officers. >> Oh my god. No. No. They're going to No. No. No. They're going to see it. They're going to see it. If you tell me it's support my guidance. So please >> please don't. >> They can't see anything right now. Have a seat for Oh [ __ ] >> Annie had no concern for her kids watching. Her only focus was fighting back and her own children would end up exposing the truth. >> Our mom and dad are divorced and we know that he always hangs out with friends. sometimes, a lot of times, but he can handle alcohol and our our mom can't. We told him back in there and we just had alcohol in it. Okay, find him. Please, I'm begging you. Please find him. He won't find the person. Please find him. Please, you won't find him, will you? We don't want to We want to make sure you don't dehydrate. Okay. >> All right. They're here to help you. >> What about grandma? You have grandparents around. >> Our mom's dad, our papa, that's what we call him. >> Yeah. >> Is not feeling well. >> Oh. And then our grandma is sleeping cuz she works as a nurse. >> Okay. >> I only yesterday at night >> and so she's sleeping today. >> Okay. Are y'all twins? >> Yeah, they're twins. >> I don't know much because the latest I hit my head. Now I don't know much anymore. >> Do you know Craig's last name? >> Yes, of course I do. And you won't find him now. >> Where does he live? She told all of us to like shut up. >> We had a wound. She didn't really mean that. >> She never told us that before and we got really scared. Just told her to pull over and we would scream for help and she's like, "No, no, no." >> She wouldn't listen to each other. >> Mommy was scared that she It was not scarier than cars than we had before. It was >> So y'all been in a car. >> It was a brown bag and it was right here right where it went. Don't touch anything up there. All right, y'all. Stay back here. >> As chaos unfolded around them, officers kept their eyes on the real priority. The terrified kids caught in the middle. >> Where you at right now? What city you are in? >> Um, probably like the Sakuri Largo. Like I don't know. Largo by chance. >> Um, maybe Marbo. >> How many quarters make a dollar? >> How many quarters? four. >> Who's our current president right now? Um, >> I can't even stop. Okay. >> So, um, >> who's our current president? >> Okay. That's the answer. >> Who's our current president? >> It's the Okay. The yellow guy who's so go ahead. Take me in. >> That isn't yellow. That is a yellow Democrat that is hates women. They're more sex. And we're going to get sucked as women. Come on. >> All right. Come on. >> We're leaving our car seats. >> Let's get out of here. I don't know if they're if they'll fit in the police car because our seats aren't like that. >> Really? >> Yeah. Our seats are like plastic. >> They sometimes >> leave them until they tell us to to bring them. >> If they tell us to bring them, then >> I mean, we're used to not >> They have seat belts. Well, I don't know if that >> I mean, we're used to not having a car seat because the seat belt stuck. >> One of our seats are locked in our dad's car. >> Oh, wow. >> And we sit with no seat belt and now we're used to it now. >> Oh, okay. So, you know how to buckle your seat belt by yourself? >> Yeah, they know how to do it. They fight over the middle seat. >> Annie was hauled to the station for testing before going to jail, but her resistance was stronger. >> Annie, want to come out and talk to me for a little bit? It depends. >> Depends on what? >> What you're trying to do to me. >> We're going to do field sobriety tests. I >> mean, go ahead. >> Go ahead. What? What does go ahead mean? I see you're giving me your your handcuffs. >> Go ahead. >> Me over. I just want my kids. That's what I'm here to do. >> I give my kids and my boyfriend. I'm so sorry. And I was just supposed to meet them and it's not okay. And that's Okay, [Applause] >> you by refusing to form the field spray test. The only thing I have based my opinion on is whether or not I believe you to be impaired is what I observed so far. Secondly, should you be charged with DUI, the fact that you refuse to perform the field sobriety test will be used against you in court. Do you understand those things? >> Yes, go. >> Okay. Are you going to get out and do field sobriety test? >> No, you can do it. >> Okay. Refusable field soriety test. Okay, Annie, I have Penelis County Sheriff's Office here to offer a breath test. Are you going to be cooperative and come out? >> Nope. >> Not if it's sheriff's. Nope. >> Not if it's sheriff's office. >> Nope. Then go do what you got to do. I'm ready. >> So Annie, listen to what I got to say. >> No, I don't care. I am now requesting that you submit to a lawful test of your blood for the purpose of determining the alcohol content and the presence of chemical and controlled substances. >> No, do it. No breath. No. Do it. >> No breath. Blood. >> No breath. Love. No. No. Yep. God. >> I say no to all of the above. >> Are you going to >> I'm going to say no. Arrest me. No. If you fail to submit to the test, your privilege to operate motor vehicle will be suspended for a period of one year >> for the first refusal or 18 months if your privilege has been previously suspended or if you have been previously fined under Florida State statute 327.35215 >> for refusing to submit to a lawful test of your breath, urine or blood. Refusing to submit to this test, I have requested of you. Is it missible in evidence? Any criminal proceeding? If you currently hold a commercial driver's license, that license privilege is suspended for a period of one year in the case of the first refusal or permanently if you have the previously result of a refusal. >> Yeah. >> Do you still refuse to take those tests? >> You want to help me out? >> I refuse. Go ahead. >> Here it is. I refuse. Go. >> As a result, Annie was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer. three counts of young person abuse without great bodily harm, driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a breath test, and driver's license violation. Onto another intense case is Jessica Woods, a heartless mother who disappeared after her twisted plan to sell her 18-month-old daughter for $500 fell apart. >> As I walked over, she said, "I'll give you if you give me $500 right now, you can have it." I said, "Have what?" She said, "Have her." >> What? >> No. >> No. I would never steal my child. >> On March the 5th, 2024, a welfare call was made to the Paladica Police Department regarding a woman later identified as Jessica Woods, who had been lurking around a business area with her 18-month-old child, both looking unckempt. Upon sighting the duo, the officer was moved with compassion and wanted to know what the issues were >> cuz they were they were worried about the baby >> because she's throwing a tantrum. >> No. Well, more they wanted to make sure the baby was okay and that you were okay. >> I'm fine. I'm trying to find emergency housing. >> Um what what let's walk over here so we're not in front of >> So what's the situation? What uh >> what what what are you going through right now? I'm going through a lot >> that gets poor is housing. Why Why are you looking for emergency housing? >> Because I had a boyfriend who used to beat the out of me and I don't want it around my kid. >> Um, so >> Lee Connley will not take me. >> Lee Connley won't take you. >> No, because it was a conflict of interest to where one of their staff members told my husband where I was. So we can only you deal with them and they won't take them. >> Right. >> Um >> I I'm willing to do public assistance, public housing. I'm willing to do Melon Manor. I don't have a ride. >> Well, I know you didn't have a license for a while cuz we had an issue with that. So I remember that. >> If you can please help me in any way. >> Well, okay. So I've got our victim's advocate coming out. Um she's going to talk to she's going to bring some stuff for the baby. Um >> where >> she'll she'll be coming over here. I I was just on the phone with her when you walked to the bathroom. Um and I'll call her back to kind of update on the situation. What was your first live again? >> Jane Woods. >> Jessica Woods. That's what it was. Okay. Um >> I'm going to be going over to the H&R Block. >> Well, she's coming over here. Um she'll be here shortly. She's getting it back together now. She was trying to figure out get information on >> I need I need a I I need emergency housing. >> Um she might be able to help you and kind of or kind of steer me in the right direction. Well, Lee Connley was actually what I was going to try to recommend, but obviously um that's kind of not the uh >> you know, just because a baby cries doesn't mean that they're in trouble. >> I'm sure you have pigs. >> I do. Um I have a son and a stepdaughter. I'm just um I I can't even believe this. >> Who called? Am I allowed to go to H&R? >> Hm. >> Am I allowed to go? >> Well, if you I've got, like I said, I've got a victim coming out here that's going to try. >> Can I sit in the car or something? I'm freezing. Um, I don't want to sit you in the back of my car or anything and I can't put you in the front. Uh, we can let's walk over to this parking lot by my car at least. That way we're not out here. >> I'm breathing and I'm quite sure that we're the only one that were the ones who called. >> I'm not sure who exactly called. All know is they called and came in and spoke with the the staff and they kind of gave me a rundown of the situation. >> Yeah, they >> Yeah. So that's that's at least good. Um, you got some food. The baby got some food. Where have you been staying with the baby? >> I've been saying 180. >> Is that rescue for my child? >> No, no, no. They're going to a different car. >> I was staying at 188 Mango Drive and dude was crazy. So, I decided to leave. >> When did you leave? >> I just left last night. >> Okay. >> And then on top of that, can I use the bathroom, please? >> Uh, what the police? >> No, I just I feel sick. >> Can walk back in the coldies and use the restroom real quick. have all the bath out of the laundry mat in the room. >> Oh, yeah. I don't know if there's a >> bathroom in there. >> Yeah. >> I just want to get in a place where I can get situated. And you know, I'm an RN, right? and the only thing I'm waiting for is for my life. >> While she was still in the restroom, the compassionate cop called dispatch for the agency's victim advocates to be sent to his location with baby supplies and food for her and the child. All in a bid to put a smile on her face. Y'all making me feel great. >> Oh, you're not. >> This is the big y'all really. I got four of y'all. >> No, no, we have a bunch of stuff for you and the baby. We have bows. >> Bring you some stuff for you and the baby. >> Yeah, there's nothing unpolished. There's food in here. I have there's actually clothes for her and stuff. >> Yeah, it's okay. >> Yeah. >> You want me to lay it on right here? >> That way you can you can change. I have diapers. I have wipes. You need [Applause] some right place to stay. She's nice. I was probably trying to take her away from >> No, I'm not taking her away from mommy. >> Mama. You want to change her? >> Which one do you want? >> This one, I think, is >> Yeah. >> So, do you want one of these? >> Stop, baby. Please. Having assisted her in the best possible way, the officers left her and her baby. However, she had something wild in mind for her daughter. Not even the goodwill from the cops could change it. Hours later, officers were stunned when a woman showed up at the station holding the same child with a disturbing story that left them speechless. >> We're going to take we're going to take her into the um into the um classroom here and never sit. >> Yeah, absolutely. We have Catherine coming over. Catherine's going to bring her some clothes, diapers over, but we didn't. I was going to wipe her off, but we didn't want to wipe her off in case she had to take pictures over cuz she's >> okay. >> Don't cry. >> Cuz you don't deserve it. >> I'll come in there and I'll come sit with you. >> Well, I'll come sit with you. >> All right. >> I called DCF to John and he is on he's going to be um calling me back. >> John Koffield. >> Yes. All right. I'll give her advisor. >> Thank you. >> Have a seat. Wherever you feel comfortable, what's this girl name? >> Jessica Woods. >> Jessica um Woods. >> Jessica Woods. You know her? >> She's a client at my own office. >> Okay. Thank you so much for doing this. I know that this is way outside of what you call my mom first. >> I I understand. Um, so we really appreciate your help. We're going to get on the phone and we're going to take the steps to make sure that that nothing like this happens to this child again. So we really appreciate your help. Okay. >> And just real quickly, just go ahead and tell me what transpired. >> First last night, she came in I want to say 10 minutes before we closed and she had the baby with her. Both of them had no shoes on. Come on. >> Her and Jessica walked in and she asked me could I give her a new member card um because her taxes had dropped and she she left it somewhere or something happened. So I got ready to put her stuff in and I noticed the baby had took her diaper off and she was like pointing at her private like her it was irritating her something. So I was like oh baby the diaper you know irritating She was like, "She's not going to do that because I only have one diaper for her." So, she put the diaper back on her and it wouldn't, you know, how the sticky side of the diaper wouldn't stick no more. So, she like hit her and was like, "You just stupid. You shouldn't be there." And I was like, "What?" So, I called the police. Um, then she I think, "Okay, I'll leave her with the police. They're going to do something about it." Um, she knew one of the officers. His name was DJ. that's what she called him. Um, and I let I told him, you know, she struck the child and that, you know, we concerned at this point because every time she brings this little girl, the little girl barely have co so he said he was going to deal with it. We left. This morning I came 7:00 a.m. She was the mom Jessica was laying on the AC unit and she was in the Dollar General's buddy >> and it was dripping. She was sleep and the baby was in there hauling. So then I said, "Do you want me to go, you know, go to the store and get her some stuff and she can sit in here?" And she was like, "No, no, no. Do you have some money? Do you have some money?" I said, "No, ma'am. I have money to get your daughter stuff." And she was like, "No, you could just have her. You could just have her." I was like, "Ma'am," I said, "No." I said, "Do you need help? Like, do you need me to call you so they can help you?" And she said, "No, don't worry about it." And she snatched her daughter out the top part in the bottom part. Then she went to Dollar General. And that's I guess why they had a police report this morning for Dollar General, her throwing stuff on top of the girl. And she came back to our job. At this point, she's yelling at the customers in there to give her money. I said, "Ma'am, you got to leave." Like, "You have to leave now." She said, "Oh, I'm not leaving. I'm not leaving." And then she kept she took her in the bathroom and she was hitting her. I don't know why. I don't know what she did or a child didn't do anything, but I'm just saying I don't know what the was. And she left out of there. When she left out, I called the police. I think the man that just came here. I waved him down the track and I said, "Could you follow me? She's right there." And she literally pushed the um the >> buggy in the road and laughed it out and then hurry up and grab. >> As the story unfolded, the list of charges against her kept piling up. Pretty soon, she'd have more than enough to earn a harsh reality check instead of any sympathy. >> And I'm like, "Is she crazy?" So, at this point, I'm following her into Dollar General. I told my manager what I was doing and the I seen the police officer. They were like, "Okay, if she's still at the store, we can charge her." And I'm like, "All the stuff she done did this, baby. We y'all should be charging for that." So they said it was my word over hers. Okay. She came back. I see her walking back towards our job. >> So now this was all last night. >> Some of this is from today. >> Yes. So she walking past the job with some other girl and she saying, "Come here. come here cuz I trust you. Come here. So, I'm like, "Oh my god." I asked two of my co-workers to walk out with me cuz I don't know what in somebody mind. And as I walked over there, she said, "I'll give you if you give me $500 right now, you can have them." I said, "Have what?" She said, "Have her." And she put her down in the leaves. And I said, "Are you serious? This at this time the baby got up and she was getting ready to walk in the road. If you know crib, it's a busy road. So she get and I grabbed the baby and I picked her up and I said, "I'm not giving you no money." She said, "Well, just have her because it's just it's just too much for me." I said, "What is too much for you?" I said, "Do you want do you need help?" Again, I'm asking you, "Do you need help?" And I got the baby. I was crying. I walked across the street and I tried to wake her up and I put her in my car and I told her, "She's going to be okay. This should not go on with a child." We we did we dealt with her this morning. We gave her clothing. We gave her a bag with all kinds of stuff. We called DCF. >> Yes. >> DCF went on scene and DCF >> did their thing and they left. >> Um so right now uh we're he was trying to find her cuz to arrest I've been looking for something I spoke to you earlier. >> So and uh >> if you see her here, she hit her. >> It's right here. Yeah. Yeah. She elbowed her last night. >> So that was from last night. >> Now you keep saying her. What is >> Jessica? >> Jessica. Jessica Wood. >> Cuz we did see a bruise on her buttocks and we told DCF. But >> um >> yeah, >> that that's where I'm at with where you at with like I don't understand. I don't understand. >> Well, we have somebody supervisor coming now and we should be able to take care of it. It will be taken care of right now. But we did make contact with her. I just want to let you know that it's not that we didn't do anything. We didn't make contact. >> I knew I knew and we our victim advocate gave um [Music] um I have she cups of water cuz I gave her what I didn't know what she was about to do. So I give her her juice. >> Okay. Um but she ate a whole big bowl of um oatmeal. Okay. I stood because she was starving. Yeah. I assume because earlier this morning they ate colies. They had a free holies that someone um you know bought for them. I had taken them. I mean you see the backpack. I slapped it full. >> Yeah. So I put stuff in there and I even have another sippy cup and stuff. I need to just see. She I know she said she's 18 months old. So I need to go out there and get another outfit for her. I will change her up. I will even wash her if I need to cuz we have a shower here. Um cuz it's probably going to be a fee for DCF to come out here. Um So, will DCF let me take her home? >> Probably not. But, but I don't know if you want to wait here the entire time. Um, I can call John, which is the DCF supervisor. >> I just don't want to have to go. >> Oh, absolutely. >> There might there might be a way. He might have to come out and look at your house or I don't know if you want to stay here. I don't know how long it is. I've been out on the call for 7 hours waiting for you. So, we can work something out. We'll figure something out. Now, they was willing to give her the money. They was like, "Whatever it takes for her to get away." >> Yeah. >> I was like, "No, we not we not enabling her." >> Yeah. I was like, "We're not enabling her and we're not breaking the law for her either." >> I know your hands are tied this morning. I wasn't mad. I just I can't see how big it is. >> No, I have since I talked to you, I've been trying to find a reason to arrest him. that I was just looking for her um right before you showed up here. I she stole from the dollar store and I went to go arrest her and I talked to the dollar store ladies and they said I asked them I said does she have a baby with her and they said no and that's where I was like and they said she was mumbling on something about she gave the baby to her sister for the weekend and I was like no cuz when we we spoke to her earlier she said she didn't have anyone >> so it it already red flags and then not even 10 minutes later I was doing something to my car and they called and said you were here with her and I was like >> the child was finally handed over to the Department of Children and Family where she would be cared for. >> We have to get my number out of her right here. >> Okay. No, that's fine. Did we get her number? >> Yes, it's right here. >> Yes. Okay, that's fine. So, we'll take her back. I'm going to clean her, take pictures, and make sure she's good, and then DCF will be >> They were out there when she was trying to >> Okay. >> I did want to say that um I changed her when I first got her. It was so the last one that gave her a diaper was me at 10:30 this morning. >> You're just >> So yeah, I'm just let you know. >> No, I appreciate it. I just brought all this other stuff. >> She ran a couple of thousand. >> That's all in my statement. >> Okay. >> Yeah, you can keep that. Yeah. >> Let me see how long I'm going to get. I'll carry. >> Can you carry her or you make sure I'm okay? Don't worry. You're good. I promise. I say I can carry her for you. change and I'm in her. >> I'm sorry. Okay. >> Come here, baby. Come here. Hey, come here. >> No. No. Put her name. >> Hey, sweetheart. >> You could have the other on the blanket. >> The search for the dumb and reckless mother started and with some help from the business staff, they tracked her down and apprehended her. 2 days later, while in custody, she came up with a story she was convinced would get her out of the mess. Do you have children? >> Yes. >> Okay. How many children do you have? >> I have two. >> You have two? Yes. Where are those children now? >> One passed away and one last >> What's your daughter's name? >> Giovana Chantel Boys. [Music] >> How old is Giovan? >> Giovana is 18 months old. She's my world and I'm hers. >> Okay. Where is Giovana? >> Giovana was supposed to be returned to me last night by 6:00 p.m. I got called by the police and told the DCF got involved. I went to I went and filed my taxes at H&R Block. While I was there, one of the members of my church filed my taxes for me. She asked me if she could keep my daughter overnight. She said she wanted to buy her some clothes. She know I just got out of abusive marriage and I'm trying to get back on my feet. I just got a stable place to stay. We exchanged numbers. I told her I had to have her back. I had six feet. You know, she could only stay one night. She wanted to keep her for a week. I told her I go away. I I have five witnesses to this. Okay. The next thing I know my I got served with a order that was stating that I am not allowed to go to Asian block and any attempts that I made to contact her, I could not reach her. So, when I called the DCF case worker yesterday, he told me he was supposed to meet me with my daughter that for some reason he had her, which I'm not even understanding why because the the H&R block employee, the one I go to church with, Giovana was supposed to be staying the night with her one night. >> Okay. And what what's the the worker that you go to church with? What's her name? >> Her name's Crystal. I don't know what her legal name. I can pull off everything in my phone. I know she's a she's I thought she was a good lady. Apparently, her and my sister are working together. She's the black girl with the pink hair. >> Oh, you don't know Crystal's last name? >> To be honest with you, I'm I'm having an anxiety attack. Um my child just got taken from me and um I'm a nurse and I could be losing everything. So, how long have you known Crystal? >> I've known her on and off for like 10 years. >> Um, like I said, she asked me several times. I told her multiple times, "No, I don't like my child to go anywhere." She regrettedly asked me. She said, "I can help you with clothing. I can help you with diapers. Please let me help you." One of my friends was there. Her name is Kimberly Mloud. She said, "Jay, just get the help. You need it right now." I said, "One night only, only one night." And when she didn't return my call, I told her that I was going to call the police and report my daughter missing and she didn't produce my child. >> And so when when did what day did all this transpire? >> She was supposed to be responding to me yesterday by 6:00 p.m. So the day before. >> Okay. So the the day before yesterday, you gave >> her permission to keep Gigi overnight until 6:00 p.m. the next day. Okay. >> That was to allow her to go shopping and get some clothes and stuff cuz she could use them. And I need the help right now. I'm just getting back on my feet. I just thought I was going to be I didn't want to even let my daughter go and I should have followed my first month. I have all of her information in my phone if I could look at look at it and give it to you. I didn't just give my child to somebody. She actually walked across the street to the house I was at and knocked on the door and asked this after I filed my taxes. Then I got a report that I was so more than five times she asked me to keep my child. >> This story didn't match up with what they had heard before. Not even close. Someone was lying and someone had the real story. But the cops weren't going to be in the dark for long as the truth was closing in far. Do you remember having a conversation where you asked this lady supposedly Crystal with H&R Block? >> Yeah. >> For money. >> I never asked her for money. Why would I? I would get an advance on my taxes if I need. >> So you never asked this worker or made any statements? No, I was No, I went there to get a new card and they were supposed to print me out one and they didn't. So, I was a little upset they didn't give me a new car. They mailed it, but I never asked anybody for money. I have income tax. Why would I? >> Okay. >> When you said you don't know Crystal's last name, >> I have everything in my phone. Like, I have not slept. I have not ate. I've been I'm physically ill without my child. I secured housing for my baby so she had a safe environment. I did everything I thought I was supposed to do and I don't even know how this happened. >> So I mean would you normally do you normally just >> I've never let my child stay out overnight ever. >> Ever. This is the first time she stayed away from me. My daughter is my world. She's all I got and I'm all she has. My sister is also friends with this crystal. And my sister wants my child. And I can show you statements where she said that I need to go ahead and my lupus so she can get my social security check for my daughter. >> What's your sister's name? >> Her name is Amanda Donahoo. All this was applied. That's what I was trying to tell you. My sister called me yesterday at 300 p.m. and told me that I was going to be going to jail and I said, "Well, why would why would I go to jail?" And she'll find out. And she hung up in my face. I had no idea none of this was going on. >> So, you had no idea where your daughter was? >> She was at She was supposed to be in St. Augustine at the outlet getting new clothes and stuff. That's the only reason I allowed her to go was because she said she asked me to. She was like, "Sister, was does Gigi have god mama? Can you let me be her god mama? I want to go get this little girl some clothes. I don't let people get my kids." She gave me her phone number, her home address, everything I had in my phone. I called her. I did not get a return call. Whenever they whenever I got the the ban from H&R Block, I sent a message and I let her know that if my child was not produced by 6:00 p.m. as agreed that I would be calling the police and reporting her missing. >> So, did you call for me? >> You guys have already issued a warrant for me. I was supposed to meet with a DCF worker this morning at 9:00 a.m. >> to bring me my daughter. >> But you're you're saying that your child was supposed to be returned to you at 6:00 p.m. last night. when I called DCF. >> So, why did you not contact police last night? >> Because DCF contacted me and told me they already had my daughter and they were bringing her to me at 9:00 a.m. >> So, DCF contacted you yesterday? >> Yes, I have all that in my phone. I needed the help. I've been going to DCF to try to get housing and stuff. >> So, like I said, I could I could use the help with the clothes and stuff. I never asked her for money. Never. Okay. >> But like I said, >> you don't remember having a conversation about trying to sell Giovana. >> What? >> I'm just >> No. >> No. I would never sell my child. >> No. I I can't even believe that was even stated. My child is my life. If I lost her, I would I can't live without my baby. >> But yet you didn't call police last night. >> I called DCF who told I thought y'all weren't together. >> Realizing that the officers were beginning to see the loopholes in her story, she pulled an unexpected stunt. >> I mean, DCF is its own entity. >> I had Do you remember who you spoke to? >> I have it all in my phone. Yes, it's have my phone so I can show you. I don't have the other officer. >> Yeah. >> But you don't you don't remember? >> It was a male. It was a male. I wrote all his information down. I have lupus. I have a brain tumor. I have a hard time remembering names. But I was told that DCF already had my daughter and that they were bringing her to me at 9:00 a.m. So I did not think that I have to call the police if she was in DC's custody. >> And that was this morning. >> That was last night. Are y'all going to let me go? >> Um, no, man. No. There there is a a warrant for your arrest. >> In the end, she was charged with neglect and cruelty. Rounding up with this dumb, intoxicated mother who called the cops on her own daughter, thinking she was clever, but ended up turning the tables on herself in the worst way possible. >> What's going on? >> She literally hit me in my This is my daughter. She's like 17 years old. >> Mhm. >> She hit me in the right side of my face here. >> She needs to be responsible, but she's acting like a child and she didn't like it. So, she hit me one time. >> Oh my god. Are you taking me to jail? Yep. Based on the information we've got, we've determined her to be the primary aggressor. >> On September the 17th, 2023, officers got a call from a woman reporting that her daughter had just punched her in the face. They rushed over and began an investigation, not expecting the wild plot twist that was about to unfold. >> I'll see you when you hear. >> Where did she go? >> She walked up the road. >> Did she see where she went went the road or she just started walking and >> she just she literally just walked through? >> Okay. What's going on? She literally hit me in my This is my daughter. She's like 17 years old. >> And she hit me in the right side of my face here. I'm sure you can tell because I have half on my eyelashes. But she'd hit me in the face a couple times and then she got out the phone. >> Can you like give me what led up to this? Like what happened? >> She's just an angry person. I I don't >> So where you guys coming from now? Let's start there. We were I was at a a birthday party with my younger kids. Um it was in Seven Woods. It was >> on Slipper Trail. >> Okay. >> So, they came to pick us up and we go we're going to my niece's birthday cuz she's turning 17. And they were all there. So, we were just going there. She's just an angry kid. >> So, what happened? I'm trying to get out. >> She started cursing me out and yelling at me. >> Why? >> I I have no idea. I guess Yeah, they're coming from a birthday party cuz she had to pick me up and she's helping me out. I'm her mother. I do everything for her. >> So, you guys were at a birthday party? >> Yes. Who was there? >> The younger kids, which is um >> Where are they at? >> Ava and James. They left with somebody else >> from here. >> No, from the party. >> Okay. >> So, they were on the way. We were on the way. And then she started getting angry and she punched me in the face a couple times. >> You're leaving a lot of stuff out. So, you guys were at the party. Was she at the party, too? No. >> So, you had to call her. Let's start that. You called her? >> Yes. >> So, to pick you up? >> Yes. Okay. >> To pick all three of us up. >> All three? Oh, the two kids. >> Yeah. Me and then the two kids. They're twins. >> Okay. >> Yeah. They're >> But the kids left before she showed up. After she showed up. >> No, the kids. Because her best friend Summer has a car. >> Mhm. >> So, they were all at my niece's birthday party. They came to pick us up. We were all going here and then everyone came to pick us up. They left with Summer in the van. Ava and James that's my other two kids were here. She started yelling at me. She got upset and then she hit me in the face a couple times. >> You guys were yelling while driving. >> Yes, she was yelling while driving. >> Who was driving? >> And I She was driving. >> Okay. You guys are yelling about what? What started the argument? I didn't just spontaneously just >> because she had to come pick me up. That's what >> Okay. So, she was mad that she had to pick you up. >> Exactly. >> Okay. Explain exactly from beginning and the physical part of it. So, you're saying she was punching you a couple times and then that's like what happened? Like you're you guys are driving and arguing. >> She's Yeah. She started arguing with me at first. I said, "Pull over." >> Mhm. >> I said, "Let me get out the car." And I got out of the car. >> Okay. >> And I sat on the side of the road. This was all the way up by some of the woods. So, I She pulled over and I got out of the car all the way by some of the woods. >> And I sat on the grass and then she came back and I was like, "Okay, maybe she calmed down." I got back. >> So, you got out and she drove away. >> Yes, she did. Okay. >> She did drive away here. >> And then I called my cousin, which is Amber, who is probably on the way here now. >> So, I got back in the car. So, I'm like, "No." I'm like, "It's fine." I'm like, "She came back to get me, blah, blah, blah." But then I got in the car and she punched me in the face. As you can see, I'm missing half of my eyelashes. And she punched me in the face a couple times. I don't know why she If you could find her and ask her why she punched me. >> It was as clear as daylight that she was hiding something. Her story didn't add up and the cracks were showing, but the officers kept digging, determined to peel back the layers and get to the truth, no matter how deep they had to go. You >> keep leaving out details. So, >> I'm not leaving out details, sir. I'm telling you exactly what happened, sir. >> What's Which direction did she go? >> She went that way. She should be right up there. She has a She has a red shirt and and black shorts on. She's walking. So you get out So you get out of the vehicle and that wasn't unfair. >> Yes, that's what I'm saying. I need So you get out of the vehicle, sit down. She drives away. How long before she comes back? >> Oh god, I don't know. Probably like 2 or 3 minutes. It wasn't that long. >> Did you call her or she just turned around on her own and came back? >> She turned around. >> And then what' she say when she came back over there? >> She didn't really say anything. I just got in the car. >> Okay. So you got in the car and then you guys just drove normally. You guys start arguing right away? >> No, not not right away because it was silent for a while. So then you guys ran on the road. Then what happens? >> Then she started arguing with me. Her mother. >> Yes. About picking you up. >> Yes. >> Okay. And then at what point did she pull over? Were you guys? >> Right here. >> Arguing already when she got physical. >> As soon as she came to get me. >> Okay. So you guys are coming. She pulled over. Was it physical yet before you pulled over or after you pulled over? >> No, >> it was physical. And I told She was hitting me when she was driving the car. So, she was hitting you while driving. >> Yes. >> At least you It was after you got out. >> No, she was hitting me while she was driving the car and then I said, "Pull over the car if you're going to hit me." And then we pulled over. >> Hello. She copy attack. >> Are you uh the sister Amber? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Pulled over yet? >> Did you observe any tag? >> No. Where's her her daughter? She say where her daughter went. >> She said she walked. >> We're still gathering. We're just gathering more information. Well, Ariana went to pick her up. >> Okay. Why did she need to be picked up? >> Cuz she was drinking. >> Okay. >> She was hitting me while she was driving. >> Well, how was she hitting you? With the closed fist, open hands. >> Closed fist. Right here in my eye. Right here where I'm missing the eyelashes. This is where she was hitting me. >> Okay. Did you hit her back at all? >> I didn't hit her back because she's my daughter. I never hit her. I never hit any of my >> How many times did she hit you? >> Probably four times. You hit >> Where did she hit you at? All >> right here. >> All right. >> Right here. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Do you call her daughter? >> They want to talk to Ariana. >> Ariana. >> Yeah. >> Like what prompted her to start hitting you? Has she done that before? >> She has gone physical. Yes. >> How long was the last time? >> Probably like a year ago. It's been a while. >> Okay. What made her give like what? Cuz Yes. You said it was verbal. So what made it physical? Did she just >> I She got >> Did you say anything? Did she say anything? She just started getting >> She just started getting physical. I You're going to have to ask her. I have no idea. >> I know, but I'm trying to ask you first before I find her. >> I don't know what her got physical. That's just how she is. She's like her father. >> Where's your Where's the father at? He's not here. >> He's not here. He's not He's at the party where he's supposed to go to, I guess. >> Where's the party? >> Is he at the party? >> No, they just picked up Ariana. >> Can they bring her back here? >> Can she come over here? She's got to talk. We're going to make sure everybody's all right and then we're going to get everybody on their way. >> Everybody's all right. They said they just want to talk to her. >> Do you have your ID with you? >> Yes. >> Either I'm going to drive to wherever she's at or she can come here in person. We're going to make contact with her in person. She's not in trouble. We just need to get her side. >> She's not. Hold on. He said she's not in trouble. >> We just got to make I got to physically >> Well, she should be in trouble for punching her mother in the face. >> Um, would you be willing to come to sworn in statement? >> Yeah. Yeah, I'll be okay. >> Go to jail. >> Nobody's going to We're just here to make sure everybody's okay. >> Either way, I'm We're going to be making physical contact. >> Oh, he's right there. >> They're right there. >> All right. I just want to talk to her. All right. We're >> She was We're going to investigate the disturbance. Okay. We're going to get We're going to hear both sides. All right. Soon her daughter Ariana showed up and the officers began asking her a few questions, unaware that what she was about to say would flip the entire situation on its head. One sentence and everything they thought they knew went right out the window. >> Who's Ariana? >> All right, Ariana, can we talk back here? So, just walk us through what's going on. >> So, we're at my cousin. >> Real quick, are you injured at all? >> Uh, I don't know if there's any marks on my face cuz that's >> how we get that scratch. Has that been there a while or is that >> No, that was from my dog yesterday. >> Yesterday? Okay, just make sure. Walk us through what's going on. >> At my cousin's birthday party in the F section and my mom called my friend because she was at another birthday party in the S section and she called her. So, I have to go pick her up because she's drunk. And >> she didn't call you, >> huh? >> She called your friend and not you. >> I don't have a phone. My phone's broken. But I went to go pick her up and she's stumbling and not walking straight. And I told her what she didn't want to hear. That I'm almost 18 and I shouldn't have to be coming to pick up my 40 almost 40year-old mom because she's old enough to know she has two other kids with her and that she needs to be responsible, but she's acting like a child and she didn't like it. So she hit me one time on Seminal Woods and then we were driving. We went straight from that light and we were on like um she had pulled my hair. This was like right here this happened. Well, I think she hit me in my head on seven woods and then right here we were I was driving and she pulled my hair and started hitting me. And then >> you told her what she didn't want to hear. She commented on her being drunk. >> Yeah. That I'm almost 18. I'm your child. I shouldn't have >> Is that when she decided to pull your hair? Which did she do first? Um, she pulled my the back of underneath of my hair and then she started hitting me while I'm still driving. So, I had to slam on the brakes and I pulled off where the car is right now. It hasn't moved. She told me to pull over the car and get the out because I'm a card bag. And then she called me a dumb and then she got out of the car and called my uncle up there, Amber, and she wouldn't get back in the car. So I drove away and then I went back and got her and then we ended up here. And that's basically >> So just to clarify, so you had to go pick her up from the party. >> Yeah. >> Because she was drunk. >> Yeah. >> And she had two little ones with her. >> Uh she had my other brother and sister Ava and James. They're turning 14. >> And where are they at now? >> Um >> someone else took them. >> Okay. >> Yeah, they went with my friend. >> Okay. >> Yeah, they went with my friend because she had to drive >> this all happened. No, >> no, they weren't with us. >> Just you and her. So you're driving up >> and I knew this was going to happen, bro. This always happens. She always starts this argument when I tell her the truth and she doesn't like it. >> I hear you. So you're driving up some of the woods arguing assumingly about her. >> She called my dad and was on the phone with him and telling her and then she told me she doesn't want she doesn't want me in her house anymore. She wants me out of the house and that I'm a and a dumb. And then she got out and she's like cuz I I had pulled her hair and hit her back when I pulled over cuz she was still hitting me. And then she got out. She's like I'm calling the cops. You just hit >> right here. >> Yeah. Right. >> When did when did it first get physical on some of the woods? >> On seinal woods. >> Before after she got out of the car >> on Seminal Woods. It was before. >> And what did she do exactly? >> Got to Woods from the neighborhood. >> What did she do exactly? >> She she just like swung her hand and like hit me. >> How many times at that time? >> Just one. >> Where' she hit you at? Uh I believe on my cheek. >> Earlier you mentioned she pulled your hair too. Which happened first? The hit or the >> uh Well, she hit me one time on Seven of Woods and then when we got here is when she pulled my hair and started hitting me again >> while you were driving. >> Yeah. >> All right. And then did you hit her at all? >> Yeah, I did. I pulled her hair and her back after she hit you that you hit her back. Was that to get her away from you or were you just >> to get her away from me? Cuz I'm driving. We're going toinging crash if I don't pull over. >> Yeah. Where was she hitting you at the second time? Uh, the second time she pulled my hair was hitting me in my head. >> Where on your head? >> Like up here. >> See, can you like point to the area where she was hitting you? >> Right here. >> You need any medical attention at all? >> No, I I have a bit of a headache, but I think >> you don't need medical attention right now. >> Yeah, I'm fine. >> Okay. Okay. And that's where you pulled over right there. And that's exactly we're in. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And then after that, what did you do? Um, I she called you guys and then I got out of the car, slammed the door and walked to the hotel and used the phone to come around. >> The truth was finally out. She wasn't a victim, just an irresponsible mother who couldn't handle being called out by her teenage daughter. The officers confronted her, giving her a chance to come clean. But instead of owning up, she kept piling on the lies and excuses, digging herself deeper with every word, practically handing them the case on a silver platter. >> Your daughter shows up to pick you up. >> Yes. >> I want to know exactly goes from there to this exact moment right now. >> Okay. So, I called her to pick me up. I got in the car. Everything was fine. When I got in the car, she started yelling at me. I don't remember why. >> So, >> you have no idea why? >> I don't know. She started yelling at me. an hour or two ago. >> It wasn't that long. It wasn't an hour or two ago. It was It wasn't that long. >> Maybe less. Exactly. So, you don't remember why she was yelling at you, but you know she was yelling at you. >> She said, "I have to pick you up from aing party." She was screaming at the top of her lungs like I not her voice was like >> up like Mariah Carey. >> Yes. >> So, she was screaming at me. I said, "Okay, can you just pull over and I'll get out the car?" I got out of the car. I I sat under her tree and I sat there for a while. >> You didn't respond to her on the phone. >> You didn't respond to her when she was yelling at you. >> No, I said, "Pull over and let me get out of the car." >> She was screaming at you and said, "Please pull over." >> She was screaming at the top of her lungs. >> You didn't say anything on the phone because I called her. No, I did say something in response. I said, "Pull over and let me the out of the car." That's exactly what I said. Pull over and let me the out of the car. That's >> You didn't call her any names before that? Like during the argument? >> No, I didn't call her any argument. She was yelling and screaming at me. Her mother who pushed her out of her my I got 13 goddamn stitches pushing this kid out of my >> I'm just saying. >> I'm just saying that talking to you right now. Okay. I find it extremely hard to believe that your 17-year-old daughter was screaming and cursing at you and all you said was >> that you find it hard to believe this is my life. >> Okay. Do you have any kids? >> Yes. And I have parents, too. >> Do you have a 17? Where are you from? New York. >> She's asking question so I know that we are allowed. >> I totally understand. >> I'm going to ask questions. So you said you're sitting over here by a tree. What is she doing? >> Here. It was all the way down. It was by seminal wood. >> All right. What happens when you guys get here? >> I Okay. So I got out of the car. She came in and I got back in the car and I'm like, "Okay." I'm like, "Just take me to aunt Jackie's house because my niece, it's her birthday party. She's turning 17 years old." That's all I said. I sat in the car and she started yelling at the top of her lungs. I didn't say anything to the child, the child that I pushed out of my the but I took care of her. I do everything for this kid. Okay. So, I didn't say anything to the kid. She started yelling at me. She's pissed off that she had to come pick me up from a party with the other kid. The other kids are Rick Summer, her best friend. So before you got dropped off and she yelled at you, you said, "Let me out." She drops you off. It was not physical before that. >> No, it was not physical before. >> You weren't physical with her at any point. She wasn't physical with you at any point. >> No, no, no. Not before I got out and and sat by the train. Nope. And then on 100. >> That was on 100. >> She comes back and picks you up and then what happens from there >> then? So I get in the car and I'm like, "Okay." I'm like, >> and I wasn't even going to get back in the car with her. I called her. She was on the phone with me the whole entire time. >> Yeah. >> Right. Weren't you? Yes, >> she was on the for the whole entire time. I'm like, she was going to come pick me up. >> She was going to come pick me up. None of this would have happened if she I would have just got in the car with her. But instead, I'm like, "All right, Ariana's back here. She was on the phone with me the whole time. When I got in the car, I'm like, Ariana's back here." I'm like, "So, don't worry about it. Don't come back." >> You guys get here. You get out of the car. Where are you? When you get out of the car, where are you going when you're here? >> We're going to my sister's house. No, >> we're on the way to my sister. >> The car is parked here. >> Yeah. When you >> You're saying you got out of the car and what did you do when you got out? >> I got out of the car cuz she hit me in the face here. >> The car cuz she was she was driving and also hitting me. So she was also swerving in the road >> for no reason. She was hitting you. >> She was hitting me cuz we were arguing cuz we were fighting. >> All right. What does she do after that? >> We're not She's not hitting me for no reason. Obviously, if you ask her, she's going to say we were we were arguing. >> All right. What does she do after she she hits you? What happens then? After she hits me a couple times, that's why I'm missing eyelashes and I probably have marks. I said, "Pull over before we all and she gets out of the car and she starts walking up." That's that's what happened. And then I called you guys. >> As the questioning intensified, her confidence started to crumble. The real question was, "How much longer could she hold out before finally cracking under the pressure?" >> She was hitting me as she pulled over. Yes, she was. >> Starting the first time you got out, you you were noticing with her >> and you didn't yell at her. You didn't call her names. >> I probably yelled at her gas. She was yelling at me. Absolutely. I'm not saying >> two seconds ago you said you didn't yell at her. >> No, she I didn't say I didn't yell at her. >> Yes, you did. You said that you you said she was screaming at you. You didn't reply. You said let me the f out and she let you out. >> Yes, that's what I said. >> But now you're saying you did the car. >> So now you're admitting you did yell at her back then. >> But that's what I said. I said let me the car. That's all I said. I wasn't physical with her. No, I'm not going to say I was physical with her cuz I wasn't. So then as you guys come up the road, you never grabbed her by the hair. >> When she was hitting me in my face, I might have grabbed her by her hair. Yes. But when we got up here, when we got up here and she was hitting me in the face, no, I never got physical before that. >> So you might have grabbed her hair now cuz earlier today, earlier, like 5 minutes ago, you said you absolutely did not touch her at any time. >> I did not touch her any time until she she hit me in the face. That's what >> I'm saying. Earlier you said that when she started hitting you, you didn't hit her back. You just simply started hitting me up to the point where we got here. I did not touch her at all. And when she started hitting me in the face to the point where she was hitting me and I was getting and it was hurting me, then I might have I might I probably did go for her. Yes, absolutely. Cuz I was defending her. >> How come you didn't get out of the car and try to get away from her? >> I did get out of the car and I ran up here up to here and then I called you guys. >> Is it possible when you might have grabbed her hair, you might have been hitting her too in response to her? >> I did not hit her. I I might have grabbed her hair. Yes, absolutely. When she was when she was hitting me in the face, when we already pulled over after she was hitting me in the face, I might have pulled her head. >> So, she had red marks on her face. What would cause those? >> I I don't know. >> It's not possible you hit her back. >> I don't remember. >> If you just don't remember, then just so you don't >> I don't remember saying her back, but I know I probably did rip her hair. Yes, I probably did. Yes. >> Okay. Cuz right now it's getting a little conflicting statements. Okay. One person has given us a clear, concise statement from beginning to end and the other person has >> The other person provided us a constantly changing story >> up until this very second. >> That's the issue right now. >> I never said I didn't hit her. I >> Yes, you did. >> So my So when I first >> I pulled her hair maybe. Yes. >> Maybe. So when I first got So just so just so we can >> But just so we can all understand what I'm seeing, right? When I first showed up, you said that She picked you up and obviously she was upset and >> you simply said that you guys got here, she got physical with you, you got out and you called us. >> Then you said that well actually you got out of the car at one point and then got back in and then we ended up here. And then when I asked you >> I thought I didn't get out of one asp when I asked you >> cuz that's not the whole story though. That's a proper story. >> I asked when I asked you if you yelled at her in response. You initially said absolutely not. The only time you yelled at her was let me the f out. But then you just But then then you admitted that you may have yelled back at her. >> Yes, cuz I said, "Let me the out of the car." That's what I said. >> No, you said you may have been cursing at her and calling her names, too. You said that. That was your words. >> No, I said get me the out of the vehicle. >> And then I asked you if after that point when she was striking you in the vehicle repeatedly in the face. >> She did strike me in the fell completely in the face. Right. >> When I asked you about that, you initially stated that you simply did not reply with any type of force and you just got out of the car. And then now when I asked you if I pull her hair, you said maybe I might have pulled her hair too. >> I probably did pull her hair when I I'm not saying I didn't pull her hair. I probably did. I'm not saying I punched her in the face. >> Even Even as simple as a detail as why was she why was she arguing with you? You initially said you didn't remember. >> But then when I told you that's very unlikely you were able to tell me exactly why she was yelling, what she was saying to you. >> I told you why she was yelling. >> I know. But I'm saying at first when I asked you, you said you have no idea. You don't you don't know. >> I I got it. I I I got it. I'm not an assh totally understand. I got it. You know, >> have things been physical with you guys in the past? >> No. >> Okay. How you guys live in Palm Coast for? >> Probably like 10 12 years. >> Oh, yes. A long time. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> We're from New York originally. >> Yeah. >> I I don't I don't want to get her in trouble. I don't want to get myself in trouble. I'm just >> A kid should not hit their mother in the face. >> It's just >> And that's what you should be telling her. She shouldn't hit her mother in the face. It's very disrespectful. >> We got two different stories here. >> You got two different stories, but story is not correct. >> Just when they thought it was over, another bombshell dropped and it was time to teach her a lesson in responsibility. One she wouldn't forget anytime soon. >> It's not real. >> Is there anything else that you want to add about what occurred today and and all that that you haven't said already? >> Oh my god, you're taking her to jail. >> Yep. Why? Based on the information we've got, we've determined her to be the primary aggressor. We have conflicting statements, but again, in our training experience, we're going to go off of the information we've got. So, >> that's where we're at. Okay. >> This is all on it's not on her right now. Okay. >> At the end of the day, we have to make a determination as law enforcement, but if you're primary primary aggressor, not on her phone, especially >> this isn't her. Nobody's pressing char. This is us pressing charges. Oh, >> she's got be two sets of twins at home. Like babies waiting for her. She's got babies at home waiting for her. Oh my god. >> She's got a son that >> is physically. >> Oh my god. >> You want me to call it out for you? I'm going to get fired from my job. >> Not necessarily. >> Yeah. >> It's just a misdemeanor charge. >> It doesn't matter. I'm on probation. >> Oh, you are? >> Yeah. >> For what? >> For um I got into like a bar fight. >> You're misme probation? >> Yeah. >> For what? For battery? >> Yeah. >> Is there a special condition of no alcohol? >> Yeah. >> Wonderful. In the end, she was hit with multiple charges, including violation, battery with a prior conviction, and about great bodily harm.
