But there's a wives' tale that police officers used to ask a subject to recite the alphabet backwards. I am stone-cold sober as I sit here in front of you, and I couldn't fluidly say the alphabet backwards right now. So, that's a wives' tale. It doesn't happen anywhere. Um it did happen on Reno 911.
