you get stopped license registration Insurance are three Universal things I mean I've heard Troopers asked for it in Alaska I've heard of deputies asked for it in California I've heard off officers asked for it in Florida like it's everywhere like it is universal license registration Insurance there are three things that you need you need them everywhere so for this motorcycle cop traffic cop to ask for her registration and her insurance and for this lady to act like this is such an obscure request like that she couldn't possibly know where any of that stuff is because no one's ever asked her for it ever in the history of forever ever seems a little bit it's a bit of a stretch what I'm trying to explain to you is I'm giving the opportunity to look for it oh my gosh you're the first one who jail for misuse of 911 missusa 911 is a great criminal violation um it it used to be criminal here uh they took it off the books it's a great violation for when someone is there dealing with you it is not an emergency situation they pick up their phone and they're like I'm dialing 911 911 those dispatchers have a hard enough job as it is like being a a law enforcement dispatcher is a it's a tough job but on top of that to have to deal with someone that's not having an emergency that's just having a you know a feeling of arrogance or that they're so aloof that they don't want to talk to the officer that's there that is unacceptable and I love states that have this as a criminal violation cuz as soon as someone hits 911 and that dispatcher picks up that should be the end of that person should be in right then and there hang hang hang up hang up or you're going to you're going to go to jail for misuse at 911 hang up the phone are you failing to provide your proof of insurance no I'm car and run over on duty um and I learned a very valuable lesson and it's to keep all of your appendages out of vehicle because they will drag you and then run you over um so earlier on in my career I was young younger much Dumber um ended up in the hospital for a week uh ended up having a surgery or two bunch of stitches concussion all that stuff so um kind of a terrible thing and uh it's one of the things that makes traffic stops really dangerous is you start dealing with someone in the in the doorway threshold of a vehicle you had the possibility of having that vehicle used as a weapon against you you will get a supervisor now walk back to that car you're going to jail I need to call no it sucks you're going this way I need to call my kid unfortunately let's he's home by his he let's go to my sounds like there's some sort of child neglect all you have to do is lower your voice I was trying but you were not trying I was being so professional no listen make your complaint okay his um his supervisor's name and I didn't didn't know that I wasn't allowed to call 911 even if the car was behind you take me for the jail he told you not to I hung up I did what I was told what was the reason you were calling 911 because he was being a jerk I just wanted another car so that was after you had requested me and I was on the way no that was before and then I just simply went in my ticket I asked him nicely for my ticket and he wouldn't give it to me give me my ticket so I can go please don't take me to jail I'll do whatever I have to do please well here's well here's the here listen man I'm I am completely understanding of people's situations all right we all go through things trust me I know but here's the thing is you decided to put the car and drive and try to take off because I asked with my with my officer's arm still inside no it wasn't it wasn't there stop you give me my ticket you was stepped up his arm wasn't his arm wasn't on my car sir where was it it he was standing by my car and that's why I want to taken off with this but if he told you not to go and you but then I stopped how exactly did it happen he told me he told me um I I was yelling cuz he won't he wouldn't give my I asked nicely several times for my ticket and he would't give it to me and then I got that's when I none of that was nice I got to get home to my kid you know I'm the only one that he has and um he went so I started yelling and and he saids and so I I went to drive off he goes don't drive off and so I stopped when he said that okay that's how I remember it I'm having a panic attack so I have two officers saying differently though I wasn't trying to hurt him I wasn't I understand but for that reason that is the that's the reason why you're in the back of the vehicle I'm sorry I will apologize I will never do it again I swear never do it again a good person I've never went to jail I've never done anything I'm going to put this back in the car I'm going to have a loing is enough in my yeah it's F just like resisting I don't know yeah like a next level down yeah cuz she didn't get out of the car either you could do either yeah either would work I think right yeah so this round table that's happening right now um it's a super normal thing that that law enforcement officers do because everyone's got a different interpretation of what's going on and um some people that are older with more gray hair talk to people sometimes that are younger with less gray hair um and we we Round Table what the applicable charges are um if there's aggravating circumstances if there's maybe a charge that you haven't thought of um so pretty common um to to see what the most applicable charges are um so you're not dealing with any sort of Double Jeopardy you're not double charging someone um but that you get the the correct violations for the crimes that were that were observed or that were committed ma'am unfortunately you're going you're going to be going to jail today okay no after what I after after what I just heard you could have seriously injured you could have seriously I wasn't trying to please I know that you weren't trying to i' I've had a really hard time please I was I I was seeing a psychiatrist and Stu please begging you I'm sorry man the sergeant goes around he gets there he talks to everyone she thinks that he's going to change this officer's decision and take the Cuffs off and shake her hand and send her on her way um I've never seen it happen I'm sure it's happened in law enforcement I'm sure somewhere it's happened um but I've never seen someone where something happens like this which you know is is obviously felony and and multiple criminal violations and have an off have a officer call a sergeant Sergeant gets there and goes uncuff that person no charges are applicable here sir have a good day that doesn't happen so when like this woman is calling a supervisor thinking that the super is going to get there and supersede his Deputy which he can but it just it doesn't happen especially when you've got easily articulable violations like she has a Sergeant's not going to say hey I understand that you broke the law and my officer or my Deputy arrested you for that we're just going to ignore the fact that you broke the law that's never going to happen so I don't know what she was thinking the outcome was going to be of talking to a sergeant but obviously didn't work and obviously she went to jail and that's exactly where she needed to be for behaving like this this is not going to be this this is not going to be something that's going to take 74 years okay I I I I I don't have money for Belle how am I supposed to get out don't act crazy don't take me to jail I swear I will do anything I promise all right I misuse of 911 she pled no contest to any charges and records indicate the fleeing eluding charge was interestingly changed to a tampering with physical evidence charge she was sentenced with 18 months probation 50 hours of community service an apology letter to the officer a driver improvement course and mental health evaluation and treatment
