about 5 million americans currently
suffer from dementia or alzheimer's
it's known as the long goodbye
as a patient's brain slowly dies
they change physically and eventually
forget who their loved ones are
and become less of themselves
patients can eventually become bedridden
unable to move
and unable to eat or drink
or talk to their loved ones
for today's video
a man called 9-1-1
because his wife suffers from dementia
and he was unable to care for her
she became angry and violent
and walked out of the house wearing her
nightgown
and one slipper
the man was unable
to get his wife to return home
he was forced to call 9-1-1
when the officers arrived on
scene they took over for a very
frustrated and exhausted man
they helped this woman
and kept her safe
until medical personnel arrived
at which time she was transported to a
local hospital
these officers
in this video are doing a task that
they're being told
they are not qualified to do
this is a task that's performed by
police officers across our country
hundreds if not thousands of times
every day
the reward these officers receive
for performing these tasks
they're called tyrants
oathbreakers
and bootlickers
that does not stop them from showing up
and doing the best they can

waiting on medicare to improve going to
the living facility
in the hospital
