Step out of the vehicle now. >> You don't have to yell. >> I HAVE A LEGAL GOD RIGHT TO MY PHONE. Calling my god attorney. >> Good. >> Stop doing that. >> Then stop encroaching other officers. >> All right, everyone. I'm Frank Slope. I'm a 24-year veteran of a sheriff's office in Arizona. Today, we're going to be doing some body cam breakdown. Unpopular is the name of the channel where we found this. I think this is pretty popular. Video looks good. Sam found it. says it's going to be great while I play Body Cam Bingo. [cheering] So, we've got card number one is on the menu today. This card's performed for us in the past, so we're going to see how it does today. So, let's uh let's see how this unpopular video does and if it's popular. >> On February 4th, 2023, an officer conducted a traffic stop after witnessing a woman driving recklessly on the road. >> I like it. >> Hey, I'm officer JCore Police Department. >> Hi. >> Okay. Uh, any particular reason you decided to drive? Why I decided to pull you over? >> To to do what? >> I engaged my traffic signals, my red and blue lights. >> Yeah. >> At the intersection when you proceeded forward and you didn't pull over >> at a safe spot. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, that's quite a bit of distance. Okay. >> There I knew there was a spot here to pull it. >> Okay. So, it's still quite a bit of distance. All right. >> There's road. Okay. >> Okay. Look, if you're going to argue with me, go step out of the vehicle. Step out of the vehicle for me. Ma'am, step out of the vehicle for me. >> Ma'am, step out of the vehicle for me. >> I pulled over. >> Ma'am, step out of the vehicle now. >> You don't have to yell at me. >> Step out of your vehicle. >> You don't have to yell at me. >> Step out of your vehicle. >> You don't have to yell at me. >> Step out of your vehicle now. You're resisting law enforcement now, ma'am. Step out of your vehicle. Head back here. Okay. You cruised probably about a quarter of a mile. Okay. I >> step out of your vehicle. Now, >> we deal with this all the time where we address this issue. I'm going to I'm going to beat this dead horse one more time. When law enforcement stops you during a traffic stop, you are considered seized under the Fourth Amendment. It is a seizure. During that seizure, we can dictate where you go. Whether you're in your car or out of your car, that ends up being a decision that we can make. Um, when this law enforcement officer, he does a good job of explaining it. Hey, this is why I stopped you, you know, any reason for it? He immediately gets backlash where it's he's he's getting getting an aggressive um response. And he's like, "Okay, I want you out of your car since you're not being you're not being forthcoming now." Um, and then he gives her he starts out, "Hey, get out of your car." It becomes more forceful. He goes over to the driver's side. I love it. Um I like that he although he gave her multiple chances, but he didn't just stand there and say the same thing 25 times. He moved his position. He got access into the vehicle. Um he, you know, changed things and continuously um gave himself the advantage uh in this scenario. So I like it. But Pennsylvania vim says you got to get out. So when he says get out, her only response is open up the door and get out if it's safe to do so. And obviously it was in this case because she wanted to pick somewhere safe. Well, that means she can get out of the car. So she doesn't have a dog in this fight. >> Yep. Hold on one second. >> Step out of your vehicle. >> I won't. I'm going to Don't do that. >> Let's go. >> Don't do Don't >> get out of the vehicle now. >> Get out of the vehicle now. >> You're going to record this. Get out of the vehicle now. >> Get out of the vehicle. I have told you numerous times on body camera. I've given you lawful commands. Step out of the vehicle. >> Step out of your vehicle. >> I've been dealing with craziness like what's in this video for 24 years now. But one type of craziness that caught me off guard, Medicare. You should see all the kinds of mailers and calls that my dad gets. It's a mess. Every company promises that they've got the best plan, but none of them show the full picture because most of those agents only sell plans from companies that pay them. And that's why I want to tell you about today's video sponsor, Chapter. Chapter is the only Medicare adviser that compares every plan nationwide. Their adviserss are independent and above all honest. They'll look at your doctors, your prescriptions, and your budget and find a plan that's actually right for you. I've seen it in my audience. Folks have called Chapter, found a plan that actually fits, and saved about $1,100 when they did that. It's free, and it takes under 20 minutes. Call Chapter today at 8056045905. I handle craziness for a living. Let Chapter handle this one. That's 8056045905. >> I will. >> I What do you mean I will get out? >> Just get out. Get out of your vehicle now. >> Oh my god. >> Get out of your vehicle now. >> What's your name? >> Get out of your vehicle now. >> What's your name? >> I'll take name and badge number. >> Step out of the car. Come on. >> Because legally, you have to tell me. >> Legally, you are not complying with lawful commands. >> I am. >> No, you're not. I've asked you numerous times. Get out of the vehicle. >> Officer, step out. >> Get out of your vehicle now. >> Step out. >> Easy way or hard way? right now. You could you could do the easy way and step out. Step out. >> Step out. >> Step out. >> Can I ask that he be involved in this? >> He's right there. Just step out. I will deal with you. >> Okay. Step out then. >> You don't get to decide who you deal with. >> All right. >> Where's my phone? >> Lay it down. >> No. No. >> I am allowed TO HAVE [laughter] THAT ON ME >> right now. He is in charge. >> I am allowed to have my phone. >> What's wrong? is happening. >> You're choosing the hard way. >> Cooperating. >> I am. >> No, you're not. >> Yes, I am. >> Take the back of my the front of my car. >> Come on. What's your name, miss? >> What's your name? >> I want my phone. >> You're going to get it. You're going TO GET IT. >> I HAVE a legal right. >> You better stop. >> No, you don't. >> You're going to catch a charge now. Stop. >> You are resisting. Look at you. >> I'm going to take that. I know my right says. I know it. him right to my phone. >> Okay, so we're going to start this over again. >> Stay there. >> Are you kidding me right now? >> Stay there. >> You get this right here. Now, chill out. >> Now, chill out and we're going to start again. >> Okay. >> You're getting worked up for nothing right now. >> Okay. Everything I have done, okay? So, you don't have to talk to me. I'm going to tell you what I'm doing. Okay. Four street road. My radar clocked you at 52 miles an hour in a 30 zone. >> Okay. I >> stop. I stop a lot of people for speeding violations. It's probably the number one thing that I stop people for and typically you don't get very much push back from someone going more than 20 mph over the speed limit. Like you're if you're cruising that fast, typically people are pretty nice with law enforcement because they're hoping to not get that criminal ticket or not get that, you know, that speeding ticket. So, the fact that she has committed this violation and then wants to overtly argue with an officer that doesn't seem like he's got a a lot of gray area and he was pretty serious when he when he went up to her was obviously articulate about what he observed and why he had stopped her. And then she gives him attitude like it's this is going down a road I don't think you want to go down. >> Proceeded to drive behind you at the red light. Okay. From there, as soon as the green light illuminated and you proceeded to go through, I engaged my traffic signal to conduct a traffic stop due to your speeding behavior. You proceeded for probably an estimated quarter or 1/3 of a mile to pull over here. Highly suspicious behavior. makes me think that you are either a intoxicated and under where you are getting pulled over, b you are concealing contraband or something illegal or looking to hide something further by waiting. I can understand you want a safe place to pull over. I can appreciate that. But however, you passed up several other places you could have turned in and made an easy right-hand turn or a lefthand turn right here. you turned in and then proceeded to drive forward. That could be considered resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, which is a felony in the state of Indiana. Second, Indiana. >> I engaged you up here. >> You were argumentative. >> Everyone knows that I love the Midwest. They drink beer. They hunt deer. They eat cheese. They're just good middle Americans. Indiana falls into the Midwest. I would expect that there would be that Midwestern hospitality. This woman looks like she looks like she could bake a pie. She looks like she'd bake you some cookies, like a good homecooked pot roast on Sunday. Just all of the home things, but and then she comes out with this nasty attitude like that's an attitude from the city, not a that's not a Midwestern attitude. I was very disappointed in judging this book by its cover. I would have I would have failed miserably at that. >> I tried to explain and tried to question, "Ma'am, why did you not stop? Why did you not stop?" And you proceeded to be argumentative. So, I asked you, "Okay, so let's step out of the vehicle cuz I do not know what is in your vehicle. You've also possibly committed a felony in my presence. So, I removed you. I asked you over a dozen times. Numerous times. >> Yeah. >> Hey Siri, >> I asked you numerous times to step from the vehicle. >> You did not. >> Dozen. Over a dozen. >> Okay. We have her on body camera. >> Hey Siri, call Blake. >> Okay. >> Oh, we are. >> No. >> Hey Siri, call Blake. >> I'll put in your car. >> Siri, call. >> Stay right there. >> This is the >> What is wrong with her? >> Redirect you away from one of my officers. >> Calling my goddamn attorney. Good. >> Call him. >> Hands off. >> You're going to jail. >> All right. What's your name? >> Get off me. Get your hands off me. >> You want to talk to me? >> We got a bingo on the diagonal already. So, I got a bingo already. >> You over and you were non-compliant. >> I was compliant. >> No, ma'am. I have every right. >> So, are you going to argue with me or am I going to let me complant everything? Ma'am, I have another officer here who asked you to remove yourself from the car >> and I got out. Am I not OUT OF MY GODDAMN CAR? >> YEAH. After you asked, >> we had to try to pull you out >> 15 times. >> Times. >> I got out on my own. >> We're not going to argue this. >> Do you have a driver's license? >> Sure did. >> Where is it at? >> Is it in your car? >> Go get it. >> Is it on you? >> Instant to arrest. >> You wanted to talk to me. All right. So, this is it. Where's your driver's license? >> I want my phone. >> All right. Where's your driver's license? >> I want my phone. >> You're not going to call anybody. >> Why? >> Cuz I said you >> You're detained right now, ma'am. You resisting law enforcement. >> Allowed to call people. >> No, you're not. >> Investigation, ma'am. >> No, you're not. >> No, you're not. >> Yes, I am. >> Why you said we're not? So, >> okay. >> Identify yourself. Where's your license? >> Are we Are you going 51? Actually, we're not going to search it. Actually, we're going to inventory cuz you're getting towed right now. >> Then you can step back again. >> Stop doing that. >> Then stop stepping up. >> Jesus Christ. >> Stay >> right there. >> Insane. You know it is. >> Where's your license at? >> In my wallet. >> Where's your wallet? >> Where everybody else's is. This is goddamn insane. I know it is. >> You caused all it. >> Center wallet. >> Where's your wallet? >> You caused all of it. >> I don't know. What's your name? >> It's on my license. >> Okay. What's your name? >> If I give you my license, going to go the [ __ ] home. >> No. No. Oh, no. >> What? Ma'am. >> No. >> What? >> Ma'am, >> you wanted to arrest me the second you pull me the over. >> That's probably natural. I would imagine this woman is so aloof and so arrogant that she would probably sit here right next to me, watch this video and not think she did a single thing wrong. Think that her entire her attitude, her conduct was absolutely acceptable. And that there in lies the problem is I I would absolutely bet that she she probably still to this day thinks that she just met the meanest cops in the planet and that she did nothing wrong. She's just just Suzie Homemaker on her way home from Bible study and these cops just accosted her. And that's that that's the issue. That is the the baseline of the issue is that I bet she believes that there's nothing wrong with this. >> I questioned you why you failed to stop in time. >> I told you I wanted to pull over in a >> Okay. >> Okay. And you also started to get argumentative. >> NO, I DIDN'T GET ARGUMENTATIVE. [laughter] >> Just like you're not argumentative right now. >> You're argumentative right now. >> I told you why I engaged you at a traffic stop. >> I told you I wanted to pull over in a safe spot. I know this goddamn area. I knew that this was here and I knew you could pull behind me. I knew I wasn't in the street, babe. >> I knew WHAT I THE [ __ ] I was doing. >> Okay, so I know what the f I'm doing. Okay, and I explain to you why I engage you in a traffic stop. And when >> you why I did what I did, >> and that wasn't good enough. And you grabbed me in my goddamn car for good reason. That's >> right. Well, that's not true. >> Door for no reason. >> I off I told you numerous times to step from your vehicle. I asked you what the what's going on. >> Ma'am, I gave you a lawful command. That's the issue here. You're disregarding that. >> Can you get the hair out of my mouth since I can't do it? >> So, were you drinking at all tonight, ma'am? >> Ah, there. Lean back. Lean against the car. >> Want to call me >> as soon as you lean against the car. >> As soon as the car, >> you're not getting your phone. Stay against the car. >> Hey Siri, call Blake. Well, I'll keep hanging up. >> You said as soon as I lean against the car. >> I said as soon as you lean against the car, you can stay there. What have you been doing tonight? >> Seriously, what have you been doing tonight? >> Nothing. You heading home? >> Okay. So, what were you doing before then? >> That's where my goddamn house. I don't problem. >> Okay. So, so what's going on tonight? >> Nothing. >> Nothing. >> I'm going to my goddamn house. Okay. >> He lit me up at this goddamn street light and I pulled over where it was safe. >> Where were you leaving from? >> It doesn't matter where I was leaving from. No, it doesn't. >> It's a Hey Siri, call. >> You can get your car to jail if that's where you end up. >> You guys are taking me to jail. >> If that's where you end up tonight >> because he has a goddamn dick complex. My balls are bigger than yours and they're on my chest. >> Cool. >> Good to hear. >> I don't have a problem with >> That's interesting. >> Okay, >> look. That's why I'm here. >> And you know better >> cuz you won't look me in face. >> I I can look you in the face just fine. I'm just a little chilly. Not going to lie. >> Yeah, I mean >> I've been outside for the past 4 hours. >> Chill. Yeah, that is [ __ ] [sighs] >> So, I'm going be honest with you. You're going to go back to the police station right now. I'm going to give you the option to do field sobriety test with one of my officers, one of my supervisors. Okay? That is on you. If you do not, I will apply for a warrant with the judge. Okay? >> Can you start over again? Say what you said. >> Okay. So, here's where we're at right now. You will be transported back to Seymour Police Department by one of my fellow officers. Okay. You would not answer my question about have you been drinking this evening? Okay. So, due to what we see in the alcohol in there and what has transpired this evening? >> Okay. I'm a little bit suspicious. So, you can either perform standard field sobriety test at SPD with one of my supervisors. Okay. If you do not, due to what's been transpired tonight and you being resistant so far, I will apply for one with the judge for a blood draw. Choice is yours. >> So if I go to police station, I don't have to deal with you. >> Nope. You can deal with somebody else. >> I don't want to deal with you. >> Okay. >> J4 J4. >> Don't attempt. Okay, >> that's fine. >> Got your phone, wallet, keys, and your Apple Watch. All right. >> I like it. >> My car is right behind his. Give me one minute while I clean out the seat. What's that? >> Front or back seat? I put them all in the front. >> I clean out the back for you. >> No cage >> along with your watch >> right here. >> What do you need? >> Out of my face. >> All right. Better. >> Yeah. >> Go ahead and sit in there for me real quick. Turn your head to the left. >> Left, not right. That way. >> No, I heard you. >> You could turn your left. >> I don't just don't know why. >> To prevent people from biting me. Not saying you'd bite me. >> I don't want somebody biting me. You know what I'm saying? I hear you. But it happens all the time. I don't want to happen to me. All right, let's swing of legs out here. >> Charged with resisting law enforcement, resisting law enforcement using a vehicle, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. >> Bingo it is. Boom. Got it on the diagonal. So, I think she said, "Get your hands off me." But I'm going to call that close enough to get off me. And um mentions lawyer. Obviously, she wanted her phone cuz she wanted to call her lawyer. So, a good a good bingo. Card number one kills it again.
