After a repo tow hooks up a vehicle, a woman hops inside the car and locks the doors. >> All right, everyone. I'm Frank Slope. I'm a 25-y year veteran of a sheriff's office here in Arizona. Today, we're going to be doing some body cam breakdown of a video from the goat of body cam video channels, Midwest Safety. So, Midwest Safety is my channel. I love them. The creator, the owner of Midwest Safety is awesome. We have a great relationship with them. And I don't only say that because we have a professional relationship, but because their stuff is awesome. So, we're going to be using Body Cam Card Three today. So, we sell them in a 1 to five pack. So, you can order them on our website. Check that out. But, we're going to see how Midwest Safety and Card number three do on this video. >> Open the door, ma'am. If you don't open the door, we're going to break the window and remove you from the vehicle. You are going to go to jail. We have a court order. Open the door. out of there. >> You're going to go to jail if >> you are going to go to jail if you don't exit the vehicle. >> Okay. >> Don't you touch me. If you touch me, I will get battery on a Leo. I'm promising you. >> I don't want I don't want Listen, I don't have don't touch me on here. >> Condition. If you put your hands on me. No. I think everyone on the internet said the same thing that I just did, which is if you have a heart condition, a serious heart condition, why are you jumping in a car being towed by a repo man instead of just allowing things to transpire how they will fight it in the court of law with a lawyer and not get yourself all amped up and excited if you have a bad ticker? um just like compounding unbelievably poor decisions here. I both health related and legally. Uh you just you can't do that. You can't when there's a court order, you can't stop it. It's a court order. It's an order from a judge. And uh I don't know. Maybe maybe she's ignorant or dumb. I don't know. I don't know which one it is, but it's one of those two. Get out of that truck and get the out of >> punches officer multiple times in the face. >> Turn over. >> Turn over. >> I GOT HER. Roll her over. >> Turn over. TURN HER BACK. I ain't done that. Look back, boy. >> Get back. >> Stay back. >> You hate my WIFE AGAIN. >> STAY BACK. >> SEE THAT badge at all? What's your mother name? >> Stay back. >> What's your name? What's your badge number? 1033. >> What's your badge number? >> I'll take name and badge number. That's That's a good one there. >> Honey, back up. >> Hide behind that mother. >> You beat my back up. >> You broke. >> I got a bro. >> Get back in the arm. >> No. >> Why would he put his hands on my freaking coward? coward. >> Do you see what your mom did? >> I want TO PICTURE HER FACE. >> BACK UP. >> YOU DON'T KNOW, MAN. YOU'RE A REAL >> SHE HAS A FREAKING HEART PROBLEM. >> YEAH. AND YOU'RE BACK UP. >> She shouldn't be fighting with the cops. >> Look at this. Sorry [ __ ] Look at this guy. Look at this guy. Zooming on. Zoom in on him. He punched my wife in the [ __ ] face. >> Yep. We do that. We punch women in the face that punch us. >> Call a [ __ ] ambulance, you [ __ ] Call >> We ought to stay back. Look what you did to my wife. >> I marked it. Hey, bro. >> I see you. >> Okay. >> That's all I'm saying. >> I'm going to arrest you for his threats against law enforcement if you don't stop. >> I didn't threaten you. I said I see you. I said I see you. Listen, I know my rights, buddy. Very well. >> Very well. >> What y'all just >> Oh, I don't have I know my rights on here. >> Call, bro. She's unresponsive. >> Back up. >> I've been dealing with craziness like what's in this video for 24 years now. But one type of craziness that caught me off guard, Medicare. You should see all the kinds of mailers and calls that my dad gets. It's a mess. Every company promises that they've got the best plan, but none of them show the full picture because most of those agents only sell plans from companies that pay them. And that's why I want to tell you about today's video sponsor, Chapter. Chapter is the only Medicare adviser that compares every plan nationwide. Their adviserss are independent and above all honest. They'll look at your doctors, your prescriptions, and your budget, and find a plan that's actually right for you. I've seen it in my audience. Folks have called Chapter, found a plan that actually fits, and saved about $1,100 when they did that. It's free, and it takes under 20 minutes. Call Chapter today at 8056045905. I handle craziness for a living. Let Chapter handle this one. That's 8056045905. >> She has a [ __ ] heart condition. >> I understand that, BUT SHE'S GOING TO KILL HER. >> NO, we are not. >> SHE HAS SURGERY TOMORROW, BRO. LOOK WHAT YOU JUST DID. >> She shouldn't be fighting with the cops then. >> No, I ain't done. I'm on my property. >> Back up. Back up. Back up. >> Back up. I ain't done [ __ ] Look at this. LOOK AT WHAT Y'ALL DID. ARE YOU PROUD of that? >> Are you [ __ ] proud? You beat a woman, you puss. >> I don't think he understands how the law works. Hey, the father here seems all wrapped around the axles about the fact that his wife got punched in the face. It he never mentions in there that she punched a uniform deputy in the face multiple times. And there is nothing in any law that I know of that separates the assault charge by gender. So, it is just are you a human? Are you a person? Yes. Did you touch another person in a way you weren't supposed to? Yes. That's assault. That's it. It doesn't there's no man or woman or gay or transgender or, you know, if you're part of the alphabet soup people, it it's all it doesn't matter. It's just one person touching another. And just because she's a female with a heart condition causing herself more stress, but she punched a deputy in the face, she's going to get punched back. That's what we do. And there is no separation in the law that says that we can't. And she probably needed it the way she was acting. >> HEY, step back. >> Step back. >> Step back. You're good. You're good. >> Standing up and responsive. [laughter] Come back, sir. >> There's a lot of reasons that I really like Midwest Safety. This is just one of them. Did you notice the standing and responsive little arrow that Midwest Safety put out? So, this guy is making all these, "She's laying there. She's unresponsive. She's going to die." And then in the very next frame, you see her standing there next to the car. Like, I don't know what this guy's looking at. Maybe there was a time difference there where she was still on the ground, but she's obviously fine. and she's obviously not laying down and dying. Um, Midwest Safety just does great stuff like that. Um, Sam and I had dinner with the owners of Midwest Safety. Awesome. Just great husband, wife, great people, great channel, and it's because of little things like that that I just absolutely love. So, standing in unresponsive, not dying. Nice job. >> I'm back. I am back. >> What else do you want from me? >> Okay, just try. >> I've done nothing, man. Look what they did. She's got a harding condition, my man. Stay back. >> She punched a cop in the face. >> Please go over there. >> Will you grab that knife? I don't want to get in any trouble. >> I just got off work. >> Put a knife on the ground right over there. >> Listen, they can't. What the is that? Listen to what I did to my mom. >> Look what I did, bro. >> Please don't take mama. Y'all better know that's a simple seat. She's been charged with battery on Leo and criminal mis mentions lawyer or court. Take that one. >> Treat people, bro. We're all mad. Look what you do to my wife. >> I'm no Dave Ramsey, but I do know how to allocate some money. Imagine getting into a legal issue and then because of not being able to pay your bills for your car and then yelling, "I'm going to call my lawyer. You can't afford your car. You sure can't afford a lawyer." Like, I'm I'm pretty I'm pretty sure that that's not how things go here. So I think there funds need to be allocated in proper places and it's probably towards paying your bills instead of trying to get more bills by getting a lawyer who's just going to take your money because that lawyers always make their money. >> Your job is >> WHAT ARE Y'ALL DOING? >> HEY, HELP her trying TO GET MY PHONE. IT'S NOT EVEN MY PHONE. >> She's obviously fine. >> SUSAN AND HAVE MRS. GO BACK TO GET A LAWYER. >> LISTEN, I'll contact my lawyer in just a minute. >> Just stay back, brother. >> I am back. HOW MUCH BE Y'ALL THAT SCARED? LIKE, get real with three young people up. >> What are you slamming your own gate? >> Done, son. >> Done. >> Stop. What are you doing? >> I'm trying to spit. If I spit towards y'all, Y'ALL ARE GOING TO PUT ANOTHER CHARGE ON ME. >> You got all the charges already. >> Done. Sir, >> I can absolutely see that having your car repoed because you're not paying your bills is an issue. I get it. It causes stress on the family. But then you then you start adding charges. So you get a charge for interfering with the court order to have the car repoed. Then you break your own window. There's a charge. Then you get a charge for resisting. Then you punched a cop in the face. And then you resisted some more with violence. like all all these charges. She's got more charges with this deputy than she has on her credit card, which she probably also doesn't pay. She's not paying anything. So, I there is the there's the basis of all the problems here. Not paying your bills, not dealing with the law. And I got to give some credit to Sheriff Wayne Ivy on uh his little saying about catching more charges than the credit card because that's his saying. I just borrowed it. You look like a rookie. You look like a rookie, sir. Say something, please. My camera's ready. That's why the public hates you, [ __ ] >> LOOK, SHE'S OUT AGAIN. >> YEAH. CALL 911. >> I have paramedics coming. >> You're supposed to be police police officer, but you put your hands on my mom. >> Yes, she's going to jail for battery on Leo. >> She didn't. [laughter] >> Did you see that video? >> Stay back. >> I'M IN MY YARD, BRO. WHAT THE [ __ ] YOU KEEP APPROACHING ME. >> JUST STAY BACK. STAY BACK. >> I'M [ __ ] BACK. >> IF HE COMES ANY CLOSER, do what you have to do. >> Do what you have to close. >> I'm going stay right here. Look, that's y'all told me not to stay there. >> And look what you did. >> Listen. >> Did you get a pulse? >> Got a pulse. >> Jeremy, calm down, please. >> It's not going to help the situation if you get in trouble. >> Sorry. You done did it. >> What is What is going on? >> So, we got up a couple days ago. We received we received the summon said we had 20 days to come back to them. So we are in the process of hiring attorney. >> Come this way. Come on. >> I have no respect for you. >> My wife in the face. >> Look what they did to my mom. >> Look what they did. >> And she needed it. Why do you have to be like this? Okay. >> I did it. I got out with a bad temper because I paid $23,000 video. I'm calling attorney. Bro, you're done. You're done. Rookie boy. >> Listen, they have they have body cameras. That's good. >> You're done, rookie boy. >> What a jerk. [laughter] >> Look at your wife. Look at your mom. Okay, >> she's going to be fine. >> She's conscious. The medics are never that come over here. Set it down. Grab it. Grab it. Please. I don't have >> What the hell's going on? >> So So we're under a repleven, right? The officer was just here. So I'm under a repleven right now. The cop just showed up like two days ago, served me with a repleven. My gate is locked. Everything is sealed 110%. So my wife pulled up about 10 minutes later. She said, "I'm getting my out of there real quick." My wife was sitting in that vehicle when these two heads pulled up. Um the guy that's picking my wife up that beat her in the face and then this gentleman here puts on. >> Um >> so they they got in the vehicle. Okay. What happened? Why is it all? >> Because my wife did that, man. Well, she was she's not only mad, but they were trying to pull out the vehicle. She's steadily telling them, "I have a heart condition. A really bad heart condition." When she got out of the vehicle, >> she shouldn't be fighting with the cops. >> My wife had that trash bag in her hand full of stuff. She hit the window. It busted. >> Taking the vehicle. That's why we're here. >> Yes. Under my replements. They're not supposed to step foot on my property. We're under a lawsuit right now. I'm supposed to maintain the vehicle. They're not supposed to step foot on my property. But they did this without will. Come over the fence and got in my yard. So, my wife got out of the vehicle. She turned and she smashed the back window. When she did, the dude holding it ran up and hit her immediately. Bam. Hit her right. That's not accurate. >> I see you here. I see you. Come over here. I don't want the kids to go. Come over here. Come here, young man. Okay. >> All right. I am not a parent. What I am is a full-fledged uncle of bunches of nieces and nephews. So, I I still I still look after them as if they were my kids. And if I was a parent in this particular situation, the last thing I would be doing is taking this fire and pouring gasoline on it by yelling and cursing and screaming and jumping up and down and videoing the cops and saying he's going to end your career and while your kids are there. So all this guy is doing is aggravating his kids. His kids kids are getting worked up. They're crying. So instead of taking them and trying to get them out of the way, sending them to the house with the oldest, um, being levelheaded and quiet, he does the absolute opposite thing that I think any good parent would do. So I'm I'm sorry now, he's not getting a dad of the year award from me. >> I hope he's real proud. I bet he beats his wife. I bet you beat your wife. Hey, listen. I got all that on camera force on a woman. I'm a woman. Punch my wife in the face. Tell that badge off. Give me 5 minutes with our >> 105's right here. At this point, I came up. She wouldn't get out of the vehicle. I explained to her she was going to get the rest of her instruction. Definitely broken. >> She finally got out. Said that she was going to catch Leo, bring the city out. She walked around here, pulled back in the bag. She had in her hand. I smashed the back window. I grabbed her by the arms. went to take her down to the ground. She felt on her back and started punching me in the side of the face. >> You okay? Yeah, I'm good. I guess I'll deal with it. Start punch. Oh, he's got some marks there. So, I've been keeping up towards the face. I'm sure we rolled her over and trying to get under control. This dude came in. He didn't jump into the fight, but he just got back. >> Now, we're here. >> I'm just letting peace be. >> You're good. Do your thing, sir. >> I just spoke to him. He said, "Calm down." >> Yeah. >> She has to calm down, too. I spoke to her. She's fine. Little medics are on their way. The sergeant over there is going to handle everything of your concern. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> So, what happened? >> Um, I came and got it. You know, we got a break order to go into the property. Got >> So, it's signed by a judge and >> I already tal confirmed it with my father before he even took it. He pulled up. He has the paperwork. I gave it to him. >> So, he's the owner of the vehicle that's getting me paid, >> right? Throw it on the ground. She pulled up right here. Said, "I'm not You're not leaving with my truck unless I'm going to jail." So, I called that. They get here. Nothing really happened until we uh back in the truck. She was in the truck. She wouldn't get out. She wasn't arguing with me or anything. She just wouldn't get out the truck. It was him that was going back and forth between me and driving. She swung me and broke the window. And then from there, >> if y'all stay here, can I get the stuff out of the car to make y'all happy? >> I don't think I'll check. Y'all stay right here. >> Okay. Deputy did a good job of getting them >> in there in their yard. >> I'm assuming this is your stuff, miss. >> On the ground. >> You broke a window in your own car. >> Stay right there. Okay. I'm gonna pick this up and give it to your man over there. Okay. You want to do Where's it at? It's over here. Okay. >> The judge who signed it and >> what >> I paid a lot of money for this car. >> I've had it since 2018. They we got in a car accident and it wouldn't work with us. We tried to pull we call them 14,000 to pay it off. They wanted us to pay 22. >> I care less by the car. How long is your wellbeing? They're going to check out with this young man. Okay. >> So, be nice. Be nice to them. Be nice to them. Okay. >> Just calm down. All right. There's medic. >> Are you okay? >> She's >> I got you, bro. I got you. Don't worry. He He's both of them two chunks right there all the way around. >> No, he's not. That guy still has a job. >> Know what they did wrong, bro. >> They need to know. They need to know, bro. >> I got you. >> You two willing be screwed for the rest of your lives. You'll be balls deep in [ __ ] [ __ ] >> Hey, I hope something bad happens because y'all are to blame, buddy. And what they did by crossing this gate, they're wrong, too. I hope you like your new job at Walmart as greeted. >> Love number, man. >> I forgot his name cuz his new Can you please give me his number? >> It's all going to be public 100% all body cameras. >> I want him before you leave. He's the rest of his life. He's I'm going to banter him on every social media platform. I'm sending this video to social media, dog. It's going out to the news and everything, bro. I'm just being honest. I'm being very honest. >> #me too. >> So, old husband here is threatening these cops that he's going to send this to social media. That's why there's a overwhelming majority of cops do not have a social media presence. Um, I have one kind of because of this. Um, before all of this happened, I didn't have one either. I absolutely I had nothing. Um, and it's because of I don't want to deal with people like this. I get harassed all the time online. I People say terrible things. People make up stuff. It doesn't bother me. I don't care. And the only reason I know that is because I've heard it from other people because I don't pay attention to social media. Um, but I think that if you looked at the totality of this case, woman interfering with a court order, punches deputy in the face and subsequently gets punched back. and then the husband yelling and screaming and acting like an absolute fool. If someone in this scenario did something wrong that needed to be pointed out on social media to be publicly shamed, I absolutely guarantee it is not the deputy that punched that chick in the face. She needed it. It was absolutely a way to help subdue her and end her physical resistance into being placed into custody after she committed multiple criminal offenses. So, she needed that. That was a way absolutely to help subdue her. So, that falls within our use of force guidelines. But that dad's actions, those don't fall under any guidelines. So, someone's if the the finger [snorts] of blame is pointed at someone, it's straight at that guy. I know I got to give >> you a prize. >> You give it to somebody else. >> I'm going to give it to you. Get the [ __ ] off of my property. >> I'm going to give it to Deputy Hannah. >> You get off of my property here. Get the out. >> Hey, you going to be worldwide news today, buddy? >> Listen to me. I got a case number right here. Okay. >> I want no. >> No. I got It's right here. Deputy ML 5442. And you got C. Thompson 69. What about her? And hers is actually 583. That's your badge number. All right, brother. I'm going to put my badge number on there, too. Okay. This is mine right here. >> Hey, listen. I'm going to give you a great review, bro. You done nothing. I'm >> going to give you a great review. [music] >> You mind? Could I give your knife back and you be okay? I'll throw it in the yard. >> Yeah, you can throw it, bro. It's cool, man. Just don't turn and throw in the dirty. >> I'm not going to do it. Just listen to me. Don't do nothing stupid. Okay. >> I like I got a great head, bro. I got >> You got a great head. [laughter] >> Thank you. Okay. >> If it was my choice, I would let you go see your mom. Okay. >> No worries, man. Listen, you've been great, bro. >> All right. >> Good deputy right there. The female suspect, Melissa, was charged with felony battery on a law enforcement officer, felony resisting an officer with violence, felony assault on a law enforcement officer, and criminal mischief less than $200 in damage. The charge of battery on a law enforcement officer was dropped while the resisting an officer with violence charge resulted in adjudication withheld, meaning the judge accepts her plea, but will not formally convict her on the charge. She was adjudicated guilty for the remaining charges of assault on a law enforcement officer and criminal mischief. She was sentenced to 3 years of probation. There are no public records indicating her husband filed any lawsuits towards the officers involved. >> All right, card three. Almost had it. I could have had it in any direction. I just needed one more. But if you were playing with another card, these might have lined up better. So, if you're watching, you played with another card, throw a comment in there. Let me know what card worked. I just I didn't go through them. Um, what is the very best is right now on June 7th, it's going to be a Sunday, 3 p.m. Arizona time, we're going to be doing a chat for live members. So, our chats are for live members only. It's one of the ways that we give back. Um, so you can have join the membership right here. So, click on that, you become a member of the channel, you get a Fridays with Frank badge. Um, I just got back from a trip back east and I made videos while I was back east and only members get to see those videos. So, you kind of you get to keep up with me when I'm not on patrol and um that's it. You you get you get that and you get to see all the membership stuff like live chats which are awesome. And if not, become a member and I'll see you there.
