reason I stopped you is the crazy tint on your windows when you made that that turn there yeah I couldn't couldn't see that's thanks appreciate that see how your registration paperwork curent proof insurance so Insurance let's see what that insurance looks like here looks like it's this truck that looks good hang tight for me so much paper nothing crazy in the car no alcohol no weed didn't see man I want the darkest Tint that's legal the penel county sheriff's office has a good relationship with with the media um and there's a lot of media Outlets that will come to the Sheriff's Office and request to ride along with the anti-smuggling unit or K9 unit or with me um so Kent is the creator or the host or the owner of the alpha responder Network um so people up above me in the chain of command said hey Alpha responder Network you could ride with Deputy slope um so Kent and I have have known each other since uh the day that we recorded this video super good good guy uh we get along great and he's got permission to film me in my car and to use it on his on his own network as long as he gives the Sheriff's Office credit which obviously he does so that's kind of how this started that's how how alpha responder Network got in my passenger seat they'll take this stuff off which isn't legal and they'll put you on something that's that's legal and you'll be good to go okay all stops for tint go just like that I have a tint meter in the back if they say hey what is it or hey you know I thought this was legal I'll pull out the tent meter I'll put it on their window give them a reading the vast majority of the time the stops go just like this give them some education um license registration insurance we all in place um no other issues and we uh we kick them down the road um let them go and get fixed I'm going to document it within our system that he was given a warning today for that so that if he stopped in two months for the same violation he'll probably get a ticket then um because he's already been warned and given an adequate amount of time uh to make that correction remember about 10 minutes ago 5 minutes ago when I said we're going to get someone at a criminal amount of speed this guy's 73 and a 50 so he's in the threshold for criminal speed because he's more than mph over the speed limit oh and this guy's already moving over he already knows how you doing see drive's license please well as you know I'm Deputy slope work for the panal can Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit reason I stopped you was for a criminal amount of speed so I got you hit 73 posted speed limit is 50 on that portion of ganel before you entered the school zone there all right I'm going to let you shuffle through that mountain of paperwork if you happen to find a current insurance card hold it out your window so that I know you have it if you don't do it I'm going to expect that you don't all right all right appreciate it man thanks try to get a picture of the radar screen attach it to every site good to go so you see on the Cutaway here there's a video of my printer that's in my car so that printer is on the floorboard of the passenger side seat right like at the bottom of where you would sit directly under that like under your legs is where my printer is so it was always Sam's job when he was riding with me that he would rip those tickets cuz when there's no one else there I have to reach over my computer and rip that ticket off the floorboard of my passenger side seat ambulance says today at 109 you're 73 and the posted 50 so you're 23 mph over the speed limit now it doesn't look like you've been stopped by the now count sheriff's office before for anything traffic related so even though technically you meet the threshold for criminal speed we didn't go with a Criminal ticket we kept it in the Civil range app right um so you're getting two civil citations your first for your 23 mph over the speed limit second one just for not having current proof insurance so it's not that you don't have it it's just that you don't have current proof and all you have to do is show that to the court once you get that current proof they're going to throw it out all right appreciate you being cool I know you're wearing your seat belt make sure you put that back on find it yeah that's it's not a big deal but you know I'm out here man you got to keep it got that last car at 73 but 69 is still 19 mph with the speed limit and that guy's way ahead of these cars like oh why do you need a sports car well I'm chasing a sports car so that's uh that's why we drive these [Music] same exact spot as last time these stops both happen on ganzel road Sam dubbed this road Interstate ganel because of the speeds that people drive um first stops an EXs a 70 second stops just under 70 so people are traveling at highway speeds on this road that goes north and south through Santan Valley um obviously Alpha responder Network also appreciated the speeds to which people drove on that road and uh we got these videos because of them what n stay in there all right see driver's license please all right well I'm Deputy slope I work for the panel Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit yes sir any idea any idea why am I stopped you speeding yep so I locked in at 69 yep yeah it's not a big deal man you look better with less hair so I locked you at 69 to 50 I think2 well the other they're just different styles um I really like that that kid jumped out uh Kent took a picture of them and then Kent did that little you know took that picture put it in a a little Polaroid um the kid was obviously super excited to be on camera and like I I have so many of those contacts and again with people on the internet that you know that are naysayers to the style that I have um the people that I contact the people whose opinion really matter um not random people on the internet but people who I actually have personto person contact with really like the style and they like the fact that I'm not a robot and I don't speak to them like a robot and that I have personality and inflection in my voice and facial expressions and manner isms and all the things that that make me me um lead me to have these great contacts with people and uh can't just happen to organically catch one of those contacts just from having to be in my passenger seat dude thank you so much for being cool dude thanks man dude have a great day man the people that I contact here in panal County are awesome there is a a great amount of um of support for the Sheriff's Office a lot of that comes from Sheriff lamb um and just from from what a what a rock star he is it's one of the things that makes working here awesome one of the most important things I think that we don't do that other agencies do is micromanage guys um their agencies here in the valley that um that are trying to account for every officer like what they're doing in like 15minute increments you know how many stats they write and how many this they do and that they do um and the sheriff's office here doesn't do that we Patrol doesn't keep stats uh no one cares if people write um 100 tickets or give a 100 warnings um as long as you're doing something I really think that allows guys to um not have to have to write a ticket to check a box on a form that no one cares about it just it feels like it's wrong to do something 100% purely for the reason to check a box uh and I think that really again falls into the culture of panal County and really separates us from other agencies
