is going to show another
mental health transport this is a
situation where
officers were dispatched to a call about
a person who
was in mental health crisis they arrived
on scene it was
quite clear that this person needed to
get some treatment and they made sure
that they got the treatment that they
needed
i like to highlight these types of
videos in particular
because of the narrative that's going on
in the public right now
there's a lot of misinformation about
police officers training and their
ability to handle these situations
so i like to show the public what really
goes on
99.9 percent of the time when they
find someone in mental health crisis a
couple key things i'd like to point out
is the people who or the person who
actually called the police
um just noticed that there was no
hesitation
with them wanting the police there they
knew that the situation would be dealt
with appropriately
as well as the way the person who was
having a mental breakdown interacted
with the police
and their level of trust
uh even with their state of mind you
could tell that they weren't in fear of
being around the police so with that
said

that's all they do is deal with people
that have mental crisis

it's an officer who's not in like actual

and then a neck care employee
and this is all they do so hopefully
they can
get her on a cycle of medication maybe
