And it's from a statement I made during the no kings rallies about what would happen to people that threw a brick or firebomb or pointed a gun at one of our deputies. >> If you let it turn violent Woo! You do not want to do that in Brevard County. If you flee arrest you're going to go to jail tired because we're going to run you down and put you in jail. If you spit on us you're going to the hospital and then jail. If you hit one of us, you're going to the hospital and jail and most likely get bitten by one of our big beautiful dogs that we have here. If you throw a brick, a firebomb, or point a gun at one of our deputies we will be notifying your family where to collect your remains at because we will kill you graveyard dead. We're not going to play and I meant every word of it. So, clearly we didn't have any problems during that that protest. >> Yeah, I would uh >> I would take that as a warning. That's >> I would also say that's the only warning you're going to get. >> Oh, everybody loved it. They uh They they absolutely understood it. They knew that um you know, listen, peaceful protests are part of our democracy and if you're going to peacefully protest, we're going to make sure you have a safe environment to do it in. But if it turns violent game on. >> The people here in Brevard County who obviously stand behind you cuz they continuously reelect you did you get any any feedback from anywhere else like from other parts of the country? >> Um uh over a thousand calls into our comm center >> No. >> demanding my resignation. Clearly they don't know how constitutional sheriff position works. Uh demanding the county commission fire me. Uh >> I don't think they can fire you. >> Um uh death threats, we got death threats. Um uh that uh that came in. So >> Wow. >> it's one of those where uh everybody got the message. That was what I wanted. I wanted everybody to get the message that um if you if you try and hurt our citizens or you try and hurt our deputies, you're going to pay the price for it. And uh being stupid comes with a price tag. And so >> Yeah, so you know, but I can tell you that um everybody that was out protesting that day uh were out peacefully protesting, they stayed out of traffic flow, they didn't try and block cars or anything. Um and that's that's what we want.
