ON SEPTEMBER the 6th, 2025, before 4:00 a.m., a Chicago Police Department officer who was watching live surveillance in the Austin area spotted four armed suspects lurking around an SUV on West Thomas Street and immediately called it in. As it all played out in real time, three of them rushed into a blue Nissan Maxima, which was waiting on standby in an alley. According to reports, the driver was carrying a standard-sized firearm. All the said details hinted at a well-planned scheme, but they had no idea that the night was about to turn into a nightmare that would haunt and follow them for the rest of their lives. Another was found along the pursuit route after a third suspect tossed it while fleeing the scene. EMS and officers worked to manage the scene and try and maintain control. You got to be kidding By the time the scene finally became settled, the damage told its own story. 21-year-old Aiden English, one of the suspects, was struck by fire inside the vehicle and later pronounced unresponsive at the hospital despite efforts to save him. While two Chicago police officers were injured after the suspects rammed their squad cars, leaving one briefly pinned. Though both survived with non-life-threatening injuries. One suspect was taken into custody at the scene and now faces serious charges tied to the events. Another remains on the run after ditching a firearm during the escape. And as the dust cleared, the Civilian Office of Police Accountability stepped in to review the use of force with all involved officers placed on standard administrative duty. Closing out a night that went from routine to irreversible nightmare in a matter of minutes. At the time that this video was compiled, further details about the missing man remain unknown, leaving the case open-ended with more questions than answers and very few solid leads to work with.
