Hey, dude. They don't want you to film them. So, please don't film them. >> No. >> They don't want you to film them. >> No. >> Okay. So, you're not going to stop filming them? >> No. >> Uh they don't want you to film them now. So, can you respect their their wishes? >> No, thank you. I'd prefer my right to film to be respected. This cop said we have to stop filming on public. >> All right. Well, we're just going to wait here for a little bit. All right. >> Okay. >> I don't take those tests. >> You don't? >> No. >> I invoke my fifth amendment right. Sir, >> Put your car in park. >> I got to go. >> You're not going. >> Yes, sir. WHAT THE >> WHERE ARE YOU COMING FROM? >> I'm driving a Lyft. This is not a traffic stop. >> It is, actually. >> Answer this door or we're going to kick the door open. >> Y'all getting in trouble for kicking my door in. >> Thanks for paying your taxes. >> I need your ID. >> Do I need to? >> You can look from the road. Let's unviolate my rights. >> What's good, YouTube? It's BB cast back in with another video and another reaction. And in today's video, it's from the San Rafael Police Department over there in California, where you had this same Rafael rookie police officer think it was illegal to record in public. You will see where this guy was recording these people cuz they were in his camera, and this guy called the police over. And this cop was trying to say, "Hey, can you just stop recording?" Trying to make it feel like it was illegal to record, knowing damn well he couldn't do anything about it. And you could just see in his face how upset he was that he couldn't do anything about this guy recording. when the supervisor got there, he let them know like, "Yeah, they can record." And it just goes to show they really do be responding to feelings. I'mma watch it and get my reaction. Let me know what y'all think about in the comment section. Let's get into the video. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Hey, dude. They don't want you to film them. So, please don't film them. >> No. >> Okay. Well, they don't want you to film them. >> No. >> Okay. So, you're not going to stop filming them? >> No. >> Even this child that doesn't want to be filmed? >> The child hasn't been on a frame of camera. >> Okay. Yeah, that's a lie. >> You want to bet? >> Yeah. >> $1,000 if you can find it. >> I mean, you guys had a whole bunch of people here. >> Yep. And we all know how to zoom in away from [ __ ] children. >> I don't know that you do, man. You got >> Doesn't matter if you know or not. You brought a kid in public, so if I wanted to, I could film. >> Okay. They don't want you to film them now, so can you respect their their voices and >> No, thank you. I'd prefer my rights to film to be respected. Not be interrupted. >> Why are you filming them? >> I don't share that, sorry. >> Okay. >> I mean, we can move on, right? I mean, like I don't need trolls in my life, but >> Okay. Yeah, can we work this out amicably? So, nobody, you know, gets upset, all right? >> I'm not upset. >> Okay. >> He told me the cop said I have to stop filming. >> So, >> What a What a uneducated officer here. >> What's our solution here? >> Um you guys could leave. >> We can leave? >> Yes. I would appreciate it if you left. >> Okay, so you can keep filming this guy? >> Oh, absolutely, if I wanted to. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> What's your name? >> What? >> Your name. >> It's on my my >> Yeah, you can't see that at night. What is it? >> You can't zoom in? >> I can't see it. >> Okay. >> What is it? >> It's Officer Canute. >> Canute? >> Yeah. All right, well >> Wow. This cop said we have to stop filming in public. >> All right, well, we're just going to wait here for a little bit. All right? >> Okay. >> We detaining? >> Cool. >> No, you're not detained. >> Okay. >> This guy puts his feet on the Porsche like a Mustang. >> Apparently. >> You got to stop filming in public. >> You are >> ignoring us. >> Well within the rights to call, but not well within the rights to use a camera in public. That's wild. >> And what are you waiting for his boss? >> Apparently, hopefully a more educated officer. >> Yeah, my sergeant's going to come here and he's going to talk to you, okay? >> I don't talk to any cops. >> Okay. >> You're talking to him. >> Well, I'm talking at him, but >> a note from your mom to hold that gun or that taser? Do you have a note from your mom to have a gun in the mall? Yeah. Yeah? Okay, good. Just making sure. >> Officer in distress, hurry up. >> They're talking about child being there, but what does the sign on the right say? >> You really think public recording is illegal? >> That's not what I said. >> That's what you insinuated. >> I got I didn't hear I wasn't here. What did you say? >> I said that they didn't want to be filmed in here. >> No, that's not what you said at all. I got a camera for a reason. >> want to be filmed in public? >> No, he said he said you need to stop filming him. >> [laughter] >> Even though when he arrived, I was over there filming something else. >> Have a good night, guys. >> You have a good night, too, officer. Thank you for your professionalism. Unlike this person that said I'm not allowed to film in public. Are you going to arrest me for filming in public, officer? >> Uh no, filming in public is not a crime. >> No, no, but he suggested it was right now on camera. So, that's all. >> Okay. >> So, he I just want to make sure that I am free to go. >> You're free to go. >> And that I'm not getting arrested for filming in public. >> um are you in charge or is There's no one in charge because I am by myself. >> So I'm the supervisor tonight. You guys are totally free to film and that's >> That's what I thought, but he suggested that I can't do camera-ing on a sidewalk. >> Okay. Well, yeah, you you guys are free to film and on the sidewalk on a public sidewalk. My my only question is do you have like any anticipation of how long you're going to be doing this tonight? >> Uh usually go to about 1:00 a.m. >> You're going to be out here till 1:00 a.m. >> Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. >> All right. >> All right, appreciate it. >> Yep. All right, guys. Have a good >> You have a good night. Hey, be safe, officer. Thank you for your professionalism. Your mom wants to teach you something. >> Okay. Yeah, I mean all all I >> I'm sure somebody will email you a copy of what just happened, but he insinuated I'm not allowed to film in public and we're waiting for you to place me under arrest. So, all right. Thank you. >> If he needs more training if he thinks recording in public is illegal because he really thought he could say a lawful command to tell him to stop filming. >> Hey, dude. They don't want you to film them. So, please don't film them. >> No. >> Okay, well, they don't want you to film them. This child that doesn't want to be filmed. >> The child hasn't been on a frame of camera. >> He worried about them filming, but he didn't say anything about that sign that says no one under 21 allowed. And then he tries to switch it up when he knows it isn't illegal. >> You really think public recording is illegal? >> That's not what I said. >> That's what you insinuated. >> He didn't know what to say to that. Just for the supervisor to tell them to have a nice day. >> Have a good night, guys. >> You have a good night, too, officer. Thank you for your professionalism. >> He definitely has to learn you can't respond to feelings. But that's what I think going to throw. Let me know what y'all think about in the comment section. How do you feel about this San Rafael police officer for really thinking it was illegal to record? You have him telling this guy to stop recording. He tells him no. He didn't know what to say after that. You could just see in his face he was just frustrated. And then what's to say? Well, you know, they don't want going recorded. Okay, well, tell them to leave. And then they want to mention about the kid, but that sign literally says no one under 21 allowed. So, he really should be getting on them about it. Just for him to talk to the supervisor and the supervisor say, "Oh, y'all have a nice day." Definitely needs more training on that. That's my take on it though.
