It's BB cast back in with another video and another reaction. And in today's video, it's from the South Carolina State Patrol Office where I posted this interaction a couple days ago, but this guy got pulled over by the South Carolina Trooper, Trooper Christopher Footers. This guy was looking on his GPS. He's not familiar with the area. So, he went the wrong way and then you having this Trooper pull him over and he started asking him some fishy questions. Obviously, he wasn't going to answer none. And then you having this State Trooper accuse him of being under the influence. So, he really wanted him to do some field sobriety tests. And all because he said no, he took him to jail. you, he told the State Trooper he would literally do a breathalyzer to prove it. And in this video right here, he does a breathalyzer and you going to see how this Trooper reacts when he sees that he blew zero. And I will play a little bit of the interaction that happened before this. So, for the people that didn't see the video, y'all will get caught up on this. I'm going to watch it and get my reaction. Let me know what y'all think about it in the comment section. Let's get it to the video. >> Trooper Footers with the Highway Patrol. The reason I stopped you is you driving wrong way. >> Yeah, the the GPS had me messed up. I didn't realize I had to cut right there. >> It's to do with the GPS. Come back here for me. >> You don't need to be rude, sir. >> Yeah, put your phone down. >> No, I I can record you. >> No, you can't. You can set it right there, though. You're not going to hold it. >> I can If you need to pat me down, you can pat me down. >> to pat you down. Set your phone right there. You can >> I I can I can record. I can record. >> is you're driving the wrong way down Olympia Street. >> I told you I was using my GPS. >> Okay. >> And it I didn't realize it breaks off. I'm not from the area. >> you. Have you had anything to drink tonight cuz that's what I'm asking? >> I don't need I don't need to answer that question. >> Okay. Are you going to Are you going to consent to do the performance field sobriety for me? >> No. >> No? >> I will I will do a blow test, but I'm but I'm not >> you're going to be placed under arrest for refusing, right? >> I will not do a field sobriety. I will do a breath test. >> Okay. >> That's it. >> I'm asking you questions cuz I don't want to have to take you to jail for no reason. >> I haven't refused to >> you are refusing to take field sobriety. That's what I'm asking >> I don't need to do a field sobriety. >> Yes, you do. >> I can do a breath test. >> Right. I'm asking you if you want to consent to take the field sobriety. If not, you're going to go to jail. >> If If that's If that Is your Is your Is your body camera on? >> [ __ ] yeah, everybody's recording out here. >> Is your body body camera on? And you said what your name and badge number is? >> I'm not repeating myself again. Put your phone down. >> Okay, you Can I request a supervisor cuz you're >> I am a supervisor. >> You're clearly ready to escalate this unnecessarily. >> arrest. Turn around, put your hands behind you. >> Okay. >> And what jail is this? Alvin S. Glenn. >> Huh? >> Alvin S. Glenn. >> Alvin S. Glenn. >> Alvin S. Glenn, you know how to spell >> It's spelled out on the wall. >> Yeah, Alvin S. Glenn, G L E N N. >> Okay. >> And it's just Columbia. >> Yeah, we're still in Columbia. All right, so just so you know, you'll still be recorded by audio and video, okay? And I'm still here to collect the breath sample for me. Open your mouth for me. Open your mouth. I got to see in your mouth and make sure you don't have anything in >> I don't have any I don't have any weapons. >> No, it's not for weapons. If you have anything metallic, it'll go up the sample. >> Can I get a copy of that reading? >> You get a copy of everything we're doing. Yep, please. Do you get No, no, do you get a copy of every everything we're doing? >> Well, every state agency is different. Sometimes you have to get an attorney to request a body cam. >> Well, yeah, for a body cam and all, yeah, you'll have to have a submitted FOIA request for that. >> No, I mean, some states you have to have, you know, attorney do it. They want to. >> Oh, okay, yeah. No, you can You can have an attorney or you yourself can submit a FOIA request if you want to to get You can't get body cam footage, but you can get the rest of the footage. >> I wonder why they don't give out body cam footage. >> Well, that's the reason why I would want to, because it's too much of a hassle. I don't know if you guys gave me this stuff or not. >> Are they hurting you that bad? >> A little bit, but I mean, I I guess that's part of the process. >> Yeah, that's the jail. I mean, now we're under kind of the jail's rules. They don't like us to let I'm not saying you're going to do anything, but, you know, they can't We can't just cut somebody loose. >> Can you say what the charges were that were on the wrong street? >> What do you mean? >> You said that the citation of what that would have been. >> You did driving on the wrong side of the >> Yeah, well, what would that have been? >> Driving on That's what it >> No, like the fine or whatever it is. >> I think I'd have to look at the fine to be exact, but I think it's like $200. >> Do you know Do you know the code that that falls under, the traffic code or whatever? >> Yeah, yeah, it falls under the magic code or traffic code, yeah, I think. >> No, what There must be a code that that's driving on the wrong side of the road is traffic >> Oh, code? Is that what you mean? I don't know the exact code or whatever. >> or whatever. >> Yeah, yeah, the statute will be on it. You can take it out and look at it. But, I'm not I'm I'm not going to take a guess. I'll tell you the wrong thing, okay? So, can you sit back at all? >> I need to. >> Well, I'll Do you have to read this? So, you're okay with it right here? I'm going to read this out loud to you. You just need to follow along for me, okay? All right, so you're under arrest for driving under the influence, section 56-5-2930 of South Carolina Code of Laws 1976 as amended. The arresting officer is directed to samples be taken for alcohol and/or drug testing. Samples will be taken and tested according to section 56-5-2950 and state policies. You do not have to take the test or give the samples. If you refuse to submit to the test, your privilege to drive in South Carolina must be suspended for at least 6 months with the option of any year suspension if you enroll in an ignition interlock device program. Any refusal may be used against you in court. If you take the test and give the samples or or give the samples and have an alcohol concentration of 8/100 of 1% 0.08 or more, you may instead be charged with driving with an unlawful alcohol concentration, section 56-5-2933. If you have an alcohol concentration of 15/100 of 1% or more 0.15, you your privilege to drive in South Carolina must be suspended for at least 1 month with the option of any year suspension if you enroll in an ignition interlock device program. You have the right to have a qualified person of your choosing. For this machine, we have a 20-minute observation period, which we have 17 minutes left on, at which point I'll give you a chance to give a sample, okay? >> So, I need to sign this acknowledging >> That's up to you if you want to sign it. You don't have to sign it. But, I'll give you a chance to read it. When they tell me to take the cuffs off of you, I'll give you a chance to sign it if you want to. >> So, do I do do I sign and then do the test or do I do the test then I sign? >> No, no, this is The only thing you're signing for is that what I just told you that I'm advising you of your rights. Um so, that has nothing to to do with this. But, you don't have to sign the form if you don't want to. It's just you're going to get a copy and I'm getting a copy. And I'm going to put all your information on here. You know, what it says internal test. Okay. At which point I'm going to ask you to stand up. I'm going to put this mouthpiece on you and here. When I tell you to, take Take deep breath in. And then you're going to put your lips around the center here, like that. >> Yeah. >> This one here. >> Okay. >> And you're going to give a nice steady breath out. All right, the the machine will give me an audible tone that you're giving a sample. Once it gets enough of the sample, it will click and I'll tell you to to stop, okay? Any questions? This one here. Take a nice deep breath. All right, pencil. Take a walk around. What are the people working? >> What's that? >> There are some people working in the science too. >> Yeah. What's up, baby? >> What's up, baby? You can sign it if you want to. >> That trooper was hoping for a DUI charge. Just for it to read zero. That's why he had to crumple up that paper. Because from the start of interaction, he told this state trooper that he would do a breath test. And if state troopers don't have breathalyzers available in their cars, what's the tax money really being spent on? >> If it's felt if I'm intoxicated, I will do a breath test. I will not do any field sobriety test. >> Yeah, you are refusing to take field sobriety. That's what I'm asking you. >> I don't need to do a field sobriety. >> Yes, you do. >> Want him to do the field sobriety so he could be like, well, I observed that he was under the influence. And then when he finally got the breath test, you have an ass state trooper crum up that old DUI charge. You know he hated to see them zeros. This state trooper couldn't charge him with anything so he had to say, oh, you know he went the wrong side of road so So going to get him for that. And they do have to spend a night in jail, all because he didn't want to answer the state troopers questions. And just for this whole case to get dismissed. And also he has been in contact with a civil rights lawyer over all of this. I will definitely keep y'all posted and let y'all know how that unfolds. And it just goes to show like I said, when these officers out on a fishing trip and you're not helping with their fishing, one way or another they're going to find a way to take you to jail. And you having a state trooper literally say, "Oh man, I believe you're on an influence. Just do some field sobriety tests." Bro, get a breathalyzer. No, that just makes too much sense. I'm going to take you to jail. That's my take on the throw. Let me know what y'all think about it in the comment section. Make sure to like, subscribe, and y'all have a wonderful day. >> [music] [music]
