namkai meche died from his injury
shortly after arriving at the
hospital 53-year-old Richard John Ricky
best a 23-year army veteran died at the
scene miraculously Micah Fletcher
survived a stab wound to the neck when
he was asked why he confronted Jeremy on
the train he later answered I simply did
what I thought I should do on February
20th 2020 a 12-person jury found
38-year-old Jeremy Joseph Christian
guilty of two counts of Murder in the
First Degree one count of attempted
murder in the first degree first degree
assault unlawful use of a weapon and
multiple counts of intimidation and
menacing the decision was
unanimous on June 24th 2020 he was
sentenced to two consecutive terms of
life imprisonment without the
possibility of parole he remains
incarcerated to this day at the Two
Rivers correctional institution in
Oregon
