hi everyone donut here today we're going to talk about more controversy because we love that [ __ ] on this channel in the first six seconds AJ please go ahead and bleep that in particular this controversy that we're talking about today is going to be a man running from police with no legs [Music] I found this video believe it or not on the funnest social media platform in the world right now a place where I troll to left the right and everyone in between because it's hilarious yes I'm talking about Twitter quick question for you guys though do you want to place bets on the Super Bowl the incident and video of the incident that we're going to be talking about today I discovered on Twitter from that one guy that bangs everyone on this podcast no jumper posted hashtag California cops fatally shot a double amputee as he tried to evade a rest by getting out of his wheelchair and hopping away and that's all there is to it everyone it was a bad shoot I'll see you later just [ __ ] kidding you know whose Channel this is in the viral video we see a couple of seconds of a guy who's looks like he's trying to run from police but I think he's amputated like right at the knees kind of like Cotton Hill and it looks like the police are shooting them there's no sound in the viral video and if you look you can see that he has a pretty large knife in his hand the suspect in this video Anthony Lowe actually passed away after this because police did shoot and kill him here [Music] let's look at what happened leading up to this video and why a guy with no legs was shot by police the first article I started reading about this was titled California police killed double amputee who was fleeing scared for his life this article States the family of Anthony Lowe has been critical of the January 26th shooting saying that he was not a threat to officers because of his disabled condition they are expected to file a lawsuit against the department and are calling for the prosecution of the officers I'm heartbroken and filled with anger and rage to Tina Jackson his younger sister told the guardian on Tuesday I just can't understand why they would do that to someone in a wheelchair I want somebody to explain me what was the reason that you had to gun down a guy who has no legs let's dig a little bit deeper and as always I'm going to stay impartial and unbiased and we're just talking about something that happened you guys can make up your own opinion in the comments below police were originally called to the scene and had a confrontation with Mr Lowe because someone said hey this dude's been stabbed not Mr Lowe some other guy got stabbed by Mr Lowe the suspect had nubbed up to a random dude on the sidewalk and stabbed him in the chest with a 12-inch butcher knife officers responded and the suspect tried to run away the best he could the officers deployed two tasers and they did not make a good connection remember both of the spicy prongs have to make a good connection in flesh and then that that electrical Arc has to happen in between them for the taser to actually work this didn't happen twice when the suspect turned towards officers and held the knife like he was gonna throw it at them they opened fire on him killing him the family and the family's attorney said that there were more options that they didn't have to do that I could definitely see other options if you didn't move like he could and he didn't have a giant knife in his hands a knife is a deadly weapon and you know they match deadly force with deadly force I mean we've watched videos on this channel before where someone got poked a little bit with a knife they bled out under a minute I'm just trying to think of other ways they could have done this because it's not like they had a net gun and they couldn't just kick him over because I mean look he moves pretty well he would just jump back up with a knife he seems fast as [ __ ] for a paraplegic this isn't exactly the disabled guy that was rolling into a Lowe's with a knife in his hand who could barely move the one that I said just kicked that [ __ ] over and then that one video and then the cop shot him nine times speaking of that one that officer was originally charged with manslaughter but a grand jury just decided not to indict him I wasn't expecting that decision on that incident that would call me by surprise back to our breakdown the attorney for the family of Mr Lowe stated and I quote officers could have used their vehicles to pin him our huge rubber bullets yes so run the guy with no legs over with your patrol car that looks [ __ ] great nothing could have went wrong there great idea attorney lady the Huntington Park police who were involved in this shooting also don't have body cameras so I think it's safe to say every patrol officer who works with them don't have the ouchy rubber rounds that would go in a shotgun or a 40 mic if you can't afford body cameras you probably can't afford stuff like that so you know defund the police and all those things would you like to know what my idea is of a good time it's getting on Twitter and stoking the old fire ice says on Twitter if someone looked like they were going to throw an eight inch long chef's knife at you would you shoot them it turned out to be 12 12 I was wrong 65 percent said yes 34 said no with 60 000 votes the top comment is a tough question I'm stumped a throne knife versus a bulletproof vest boy I wonder which would win a knife isn't reloadable so I would only shoot once Miss if he missed me and tried to actually get him if he got me what the [ __ ] did you just say I don't think I would I feel like I can dodge however I'd understand if someone did yeah because I'm not trained in the ways of de-escalation and if I just had the FI on me yeah but if I had a taser I might have pulled that out who knows right they did that twice just catch it and throw it back it's crazy every time I say something like that on Twitter that's unbiased I get like five death threats against my life very cool I think that means I'm doing something right in the end I feel like this might be a lawful but awful situation that's not for me to decide though that's for a grand jury and of course you lovely people in the comments to decide let me know in the comments below what you think of this situation if you want to help support the Channel please go to donutoperator.com get some super merch or subscribe and follow me on every other platform hit that like And subscribe [ __ ] below and as always please have a
