Quit harassing me. >> You can't obstruct the sidewalk. So, if somebody comes walking >> I will move for them. Yes, ma'am. There is no law that says I cannot sit on a public sidewalk. >> You can't obstruct the sidewalk. >> I'm not obstructing it. If somebody comes There's no People can >> What if somebody else comes through here with a wheelchair? Where are they going to go? >> I will get out of their way, ma'am. This is not a traffic stop. >> It is, actually. It's a traffic stop. >> I would like to come over. >> No, let's not violate my rights. >> What's good, YouTube? It's BB cast, back again with another video and another reaction. And in today's video it's from Harrisonburg, Virginia, where you have these Harrisonburg police officers harass this guy that was on his wheelchair. All he was doing was just resting on the sidewalk, minding his own business. And you having these officers start coming and say, "Hey, what are you doing?" Just start asking him questions. And when he told them that he wasn't answering no questions, you would think that they would leave him alone. No, they just kept on asking him more questions, just trying to provoke him. I'm going to watch it and give my reaction. Let me know what y'all think about it in the comment section. Let's get into the video. >> Officer. Yes, I am. >> I got you. What's going on this evening? >> I'm just sitting here taking a break, resting a little bit. Is that okay? >> trying to get to tonight? >> Why does that matter? >> I just want to see if we can help you out getting home. >> No, you can't. What are you going to do? Put me in there? No. >> No, I mean >> So. >> That was an option, right? >> No. >> offer it to you. >> No, we Yeah. Give me a charge for something stupid like y'all always do. >> Man, I'm not trying to >> Harrisonburg city so petty. I'm on public property. Quit harassing me, please, officer. I'm on the sidewalk. I am okay. Thank you. Thank you for your concern. Have a nice day. Like I said, thanks for your concern. Have a nice day, ma'am. There I don't have to tell you where I'm going. That's none of your business. Exactly. I can sit here all night if I want to. Right, exactly. So, please have a good evening and and leave me alone. Quit harassing me. I will move for them. Yes, ma'am. Yes, ma'am. No problem. Sure. I'll make sure I don't get on their property. There you go. There's plenty of room, ma'am. There is no law that says I cannot sit on a public sidewalk. I'm not obstructing it. If somebody come Look, is is okay. Let me take Give me get this on. There's no People can I will get out of their way, ma'am. I will roll all the way up here where I'm completely off the sidewalk. None of your concern. None of your concern. No. I know. You Did you see I made sure my casters didn't even get on their property? I've already told you I will move. How many times do I tell you? I will move. I will move. I will move. Is that okay? Huh? Because I'm tired of Harrisonburg City harassing me. From public transit, from public works, and from Harrisonburg City public police department. Like I said, look at here. You got a guy in a wheelchair. Two police officers and I'm sure another one's on the way. >> No, just us. >> Two police It's usually three for a guy in a wheelchair. Ain't y'all got anything better to do? Why don't y'all sit up at the CSB where there's no sidewalk coming into town and write speeding tickets? Speaking of this, 35 people come down through there 55 60. >> That's my plan. I'd be doing that right now, but I had to talk to you first. >> No, I've never seen any of y'all give out speeding tickets up there. >> I only work this area, so I don't know. >> Because I sit up at the CSB, them chicken trucks come down through there 55 60 mph, you know that. >> Oh, yeah. >> How many tickets y'all sit up here and hand out? Could be making revenue. You could be making revenue for the city right now instead of harassing me for being on public property. As long as I'm on the sidewalk, there's nothing you can do about it, ma'am. >> You're still blocking the sidewalk. >> I will If I will I've done I've explained it to you. I will move. I will move. So, I'm not obstructing it. I'm just sitting here. >> How long have you been sitting here for? >> That's none of your concern. >> I mean, it does seem like kind of my concern. We can work right here at the CSB. >> No, there is plenty room for somebody to get by me. Sidewalk is 5 ft long, okay? My wheelchair is 24 in. That's half of the sidewalk. Actually, I don't think it's 24. If anybody in a bigger wheelchair comes, I will move. >> So, what was the deal earlier with the trespassing here? Did they serve you with paperwork? >> Yep. >> Okay. >> This ain't your property. >> Okay, but why do you want to be here, man? >> None of your concern. >> All right. I mean, I think that's my opinion. I think it's probably in your best interest. >> You're You're going to be like somebody like that other cop that gave me a charge for riding in the road. Failure to use sidewalk, okay? Check this and you'll love this. Failure to use sidewalk. >> I can't >> You look You look that code up. I'm just saying you look that code up. It says where the sidewalk is reasonable to be passed. Now, when there's two three-foot gaps missing out the sidewalk, it's not reasonable to pass. I got a charge for failure to use the sidewalk. Guess what? We went to court, he saw I had an attorney, cop ran in the attorney's room as fast as he could. Oh, I'm dropping the I I don't want to pursue this. Oh, no. Oh, no. Because he'd been looking like a fool in front of the judge. >> I didn't issue the charge, my name wasn't on it, I can't attest to that, right? I'm not sure if it wasn't there that day. Don't know what happened. >> I've Like I said, I've been battling with these guys since June of last year on how to properly restrain a wheelchair. When you flip the seat up, it has instructions right there. Guess what? It's even got pictures. A monkey could do it right. And they won't. Explain that to me. Every time they prop- Every time they improperly restrain me, they put my life at risk. >> Okay. Like I said, I don't work for transportation. >> I told you a video. I got plenty videos, plenty pictures for over a year, ma'am. Over a year. And they won't even address the situation. I always end up the bad guy. You know why? Because I end up cussing. I'm going to city council. You can ask. I went to the last one. Guess what? Fire chief and the and the chief of police had to sit right beside me for some reason. Public Works and Public Transit is getting ready to get a rude awakening. Harrisonburg is not the friendly city if you are in a wheelchair. You can ask anybody in a wheelchair that uses public transit. They all the drivers all harass all of us. There's no sense in it. >> Like I said, that's unfortunate. I'm sorry you got experience in that, but neither of us work for the police department. >> After a year >> She's saying she's sorry, but yeah, she's harassing for being on a public sidewalk. >> And nothing happens. They even refuse to address the situation. >> Well, again >> Wouldn't that make you angry? >> That's when you take the issue up to city council, okay? >> Hey, look. I had tried to call what is his name? Adam whatever, the city uh manager. He will not call me back. I've been trying for months. Uh I have had an attorney draw up a letter and send it to the city attorney. He refuses to answer me. So. >> City council. Talk to them. >> I would just keep working through your attorney trying to get them to contact them. That's probably your best interest. Probably the best way for you to go about it. But You can't >> This is so petty. Obstructing a sidewalk when I can move. I am not obstructing the side I'm just sitting here, right? That's not obstructing the sidewalk. >> I sat right there. >> Has anybody made a call about me obstructing the sidewalk? No. Y'all are doing this purely to harass me because they gave me trespassing papers. Yeah, from them. Not from a citizen using a sidewalk. If the call come from somebody using the sidewalk or public transit. >> And now there's a family of three people coming up here. How are they going to get past you? >> Plenty room. Hey girl, does this make you happier? >> Yes, yes, that's perfect. >> There you go. I'm not obstructing the sidewalk. >> You can sit there and take a rest of the time. That's perfect. You sit there, Mr. Sheets. I'm going to get somewhere. >> In essence of that video, my take on that pure definition of officer having nothing better to do. Because you going to hear this guy even telling like stop harassing me, just leave me alone. I'm fine. And you going to hear her say, "Well, we're not harassing. I just want to make sure you're okay." while harassing him like right here. >> I'm on public property. Quit harassing me, please officer. I'm on the sidewalk. >> Mr. Sheets, I just want to make sure that you're okay. >> I am okay. Thank you. >> And then when he told her that he was completely fine, he doesn't need no help or try to say, "All right, leave me alone." That's when this lady officer wants to say, "Well, where you going?" And you already know they already get to fishing like right here. >> Have a nice day. >> Okay, where are you headed to this evening? >> Like I said, thanks for your concern. Have a nice day, ma'am. >> Mr. Sheets, like we talked to >> There I don't have to tell you where I'm going. >> that's when she got to nitpicking talking about "Oh, you know, you're obstructing the sidewalk." And it just goes to show just how bored these officers really are. >> No laws that says I cannot sit on a public sidewalk. >> You can't obstruct the sidewalk. >> I'm not obstructing it. >> What if somebody else comes through here with a wheelchair? >> And it's just crazy how she went from, "You know, I just here to check on you." But when he answered no questions, she wants to switch it to, "Oh, well, you know, you're obstructing the sidewalk." But that's my take on it though. Let me know what y'all think about it comment section. How you feel about this Harrisburg police officer for harassing this guy for being on the sidewalk. First saying that she wanted to know if he was okay. Then after he told her that he was completely fine, that's when she switched it to, "Oh, well, you know, you're obstructing the sidewalk." And that's where that nitpicking stuff comes from. Whenever you don't answer officer's question, that's when they say, "Oh, you know, well, you're doing this and you're doing that." When this dude wasn't doing nothing but on his wheelchair minding his business. And it just goes to show you can literally just be minding your business still get harassed by police officers. That's my take on it though. Let me know what y'all think about it comment section. Make sure to like and subscribe, and y'all have a wonderful day. >> [music] [music] [music]
