Hey, show your hands. DRIVER, STEP OUT SLOWLY. >> HI EVERYONE, DONUT HERE. You want to see the Houston police fire like a million bullets at one dude? The Atlanta, Texas Police Department formed the world's most heavily armed conga line before approaching a stolen car. You wouldn't believe what happens next. Everyone, and I mean everyone, starts shooting. >> Oh my god, it's literally everyone. >> To be fair, the suspect does ignore nearly half an hour of commands, gets threatened with a bork bork nom nom, and then opens his car door right as officers are closing in. What follows is pure chaos with officers tripping over each other, equipment flying across the pavement, and one absolute unit with a rifle deciding that running away is optional. Atlanta, Texas, July 6th, 2026. At around 7:20 that evening, an officer working an approved extra employment job noticed a suspicious vehicle and ran the license plate. Pretty one unfamiliar with extra employment, this is basically an approved off-duty job where an officer provides security, traffic control, or like crowd management for a private business or event. Officers technically off the regular clock, but still working in a law enforcement capacity. So, just remember, if you ever want to hire security for an event, you can always go to your local police department and hook those cops up with some extra pay. That's what we do for like all of our Unsub Tours and some of Brandon's events and stuff. By the way, if you live in Texas District 23, vote for Brandon, not the big blue whale. So, the cop working extra duty runs the plate on this car and it comes back associated with a vehicle reported stolen out of Fort Bend County. So, the officer calls for some backup and at approximately 7:32 p.m., more Houston police officers arrive and attempt to conduct a felony traffic stop. If you do recall, regular traffic stops where the cop gets out of the car and goes to you. Felony traffic stops where you get out of the car and go to them. And this is where our body camera footage begins. Officers repeatedly command the suspect to step out of the vehicle, show his hands, and surrender. The suspect responds by doing absolutely nothing and remaining inside of the car. The officers continue to try to talk him out, but the suspect ignores literally every single command. At one point, they warn him that they're going to send in the K9 and that the dog will bite him as dogs normally do. Well, 99.9% of K9s like to bite people except for that one dog in that viral incident A WHILE BACK. >> [screaming] >> SHOW ME YOUR HANDS. SHOW ME YOUR HANDS. SHOW ME YOUR HANDS. SHOW ME YOUR HANDS OR YOU'RE GOING TO GET BIT. SHOW ME YOUR HANDS. You're going to get bit. Show me your hands. Give me your hands, Dirk. DIRK. >> KILL ME. >> DIRK. DIRK. >> KILL ME. >> DIRK. >> I'VE GOT MY hands up. >> Give me your Get on the ground. Get on the ground. >> [ __ ] you guys. >> Get on the Get on the ground. Get on the ground. >> No. >> [ __ ] Get on the ground. >> Oh, he found a friend. >> I can guarantee your safety if you step out of the vehicle with nothing in your hands. Again, it's easier Please stay in the car. If you get out, show your hands. Surrender and we can get to you safely. If you refuse, we'll send the dog. The dog will bite you. >> I feel like the second part should probably go without saying, but not all the time. More commands are then given over the loudspeaker, but the suspect still refuses to move, so officers finally decided they were going to approach the vehicle. Can't sit there all damn day. We got to get something moving. >> Hey, give commands. Give commands. >> Let us see your hands, driver. Let us SEE YOUR HANDS. >> OPEN THE DOOR AND SHOW US YOUR HANDS. >> DRIVER, HANDS UP. >> JAKE, GIVE COMMANDS. >> DRIVER, PUT YOUR HANDS UP. PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE WE CAN SEE THEM. PUT YOUR HANDS UP. >> The K9 officer walks slightly closer to the suspect's vehicle and stops and waits for the arrest team to assemble behind him. The arrest team stacks up. They're rolling heavy. >> PUT YOUR HANDS UP. >> LET US SEE YOUR HANDS, DRIVER. PUT YOUR HANDS UP. >> SHOW ME YOUR HANDS NOW. SHOW ME YOUR HANDS. >> HANDS UP. >> SHOW ME YOUR HANDS. >> Show your hands. >> Lead officer's carrying a ballistic shield while several more officers stack up behind him. Two additional officers then join the formation as they begin slowly moving towards the car. This is supposed to provide everyone with protection while allowing the team to approach together. The only problem is that when something goes wrong, everyone is packed into the same tiny area. Nut to butt as we call it. And something is about to go very wrong in this nut to butt situation. Gunfire erupts without warning and the entire formation immediately explodes in every direction. One officer trips and drops his taser. Another officer loses a magazine on the pavement. Thank God it wasn't a Staccato magazine. We even see one officer jump over another officer who's crawling away from the gunfire. There is no graceful tactical withdrawal happening here. This is pure survival mode chaos with everyone trying to scramble for cover. We got to stop for a second and talk about something that's plaguing police and has been plaguing police forever. And that would be missing magazines. >> [music] >> I want to be clear about a little backseat policing, actually. I'm not trying to be too hard on these officers. I wasn't there. You can train for these situations as much as possible, but nobody practices the part where six people simultaneously try to occupy the same three feet of pavement while bullets are flying. That would suck. And to give you a better perspective on how violent and confusing this conga line of violence was, we can switch to the body camera of one of the officers who had been inside that formation. >> They give commands. >> Driver, PUT YOUR HANDS UP. PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE WE CAN SEE THEM. PUT YOUR HANDS UP. >> IF I DON'T WANT TO MOVE UP SLOWLY >> OPEN THE DOOR. SHOW YOUR HANDS. >> HOLD. HOLD. IS HE STILL MOVING? HOLD. [screaming] HOLD. Let it breathe. Everyone good? Breathe. Everybody good? >> From this angle, we can see the officer retreating as rounds are being fired around him. He moves away from the vehicle and gets behind cover while other officers begin returning fire. Back on our original body camera, the officer and another officer directly in front of him fire towards the suspect's car. Several additional shots can be heard coming from elsewhere around the scene. >> Driver, STEP OUT SLOWLY. >> AFTER FIRING, THE OFFICERS MOVE back behind their patrol vehicle and remain in cover. This is where the first section of body camera footage ends. At this point, you're probably wondering what exactly caused the shooting because the officers, the shield, and the other bodies in front of the camera blocked most of our view. Fortunately, Houston police also released security footage and several additional body camera angles that help fill in what we could not see. Now, we're going to go to the security footage and see what that shows. The security camera gives us an overhead view of the scene. There's no audio, but we can see the officers positioned around the vehicle while commands are being given. The officers form behind the shield and slowly begin approaching. The K9 officer remains slightly to the right as the group moves closer to the driver's side of the stolen vehicle. Now, watch the driver's door. The door suddenly pops open just before the officers begin firing and scattering for cover. While most of the officers run for cover, there is one officer who reacts a little differently. Look at the dude holding the long gun. He drops to one knee, shoulders his rifle, and begins firing directly into the suspect's vehicle. Bro doesn't hesitate to mag dump right into the vehicle. Now, let's switch THE BODY CAMERA. >> SHOW ME YOUR HANDS. >> SHOW ME YOUR HANDS. >> Hands up. >> Show me your hands. >> Show your hands. >> Show your hands. >> Just open door, SHOW YOUR HANDS. >> [screaming] >> FROM HIS PERSPECTIVE, THE OFFICERS ARE ONLY A short distance from the car when the driver's door opens and the suspect allegedly reaches for something inside the car. The officer takes a knee and fires multiple rounds through the open door inside of the vehicle. Whatever you think about the overall shooting, whatever your opinion is, that officer's reaction is unbelievably fast and smooth. He goes from slowly walking behind the shield to planted, aimed, and firing in almost no time. Now, after all the shooting and chaos, officers cease fire and we get to see the damage HPD did here. Holy [ __ ] they turned that driver's side of this car into Swiss cheese. The driver's door and the rear door are covered in bullet holes with additional damage around the windows and interior. Based on the sound from the footage, several officers are firing during those few seconds. Although investigators said that they were still determining exactly how many officers discharged the weapons and how many shots were fired. Officers opened the door, pulled the suspect from the vehicle, and placed him in handcuffs. They then checked him for wounds and began coordinating medical retreat. The suspect, who was approximately 30 years old, was transported to a Houston area hospital in stable condition and was expected to survive. No officers were reported injured. Hell yeah. So, what caused all this? Police said an officer saw the suspect make a movement that appeared as though he was reaching for a weapon once the door popped open. At the time of the initial press conference, authorities had not determined whether the suspect actually had a weapon. However, HPD's current officer-involved shooting database lists the suspect's weapon as none. So, I don't know if the investigators ultimately recovered a weapon from him. So, it looks like there might not have even been a weapon on this one. This shooting is being investigated by the Houston Police Department's Homicide and Internal Affairs Division along with the Harris County District Attorney's Office. HPD's public database currently lists nine officers in connection with the incident. Let me know what you think about this shooting in the comments below. I'm interested on some updates about this case to see whether the guy even had a weapon or not and what the hell was going on here. That's all I have for you fine people today.
