[music] On September 14th, 2026, at 11:20 p.m., I trooper Dustin Medford observed a vehicle stop behind me while I was parked in the Gore on West 11th Street near the intersection with I630 West and Center Street. I was in my assigned marked stateisssued patrol vehicle with my headlights on. The vehicle had their hazard flashers activated. No one exited the vehicle. And after a few seconds, the vehicle drove around me and stopped again in front of me. Hazard flashers still on. Based on the behavior, I believe the driver too either be under the influence or having a problem of some kind. The vehicle was a black Ford Excursion bearing ARLPN AL24F. The vehicle stayed in front of me for only a few seconds again, then drove off. I followed the vehicle to the next exit where the driver, later identified as Ahmad Wahed, began to pull over himself into the gore at the 2B off-ramp. I activated my emergency lights and contacted the driver. Upon contact, I suspected Wahed of being under the influence of narcotics while operating a motor vehicle. He had a wideeyed almost blank gaze. When questioned about drug or alcohol use, he stated he fried his mind using PCP in the past. How's it going? You trying to get to the house?
