Your ex shows up at your house screaming, and they won't leave, and you go out and push them off the porch. Are you all right or arrested? You're not all right if you go out there and shove them off the porch. You don't have the authority to do that. They're far enough outside of your property that you're going to want to let the police deal with them. Now, if they're inside your house, you might have a little bit different of a situation. You're entitled to use reasonable force to get somebody to leave the inside of your house, but it's really a gray area, and you got to be careful. Cuz if you exceed those boundaries, you're going to get arrested for just simply making somebody leave your home. Call the police and let them put hands on people.
