So, as a former cop, I can tell you what's going through his mind when you're not pulling over immediately. First, he's thinking, "Why is this person not stopping?" He's going through all the parade of horrible. Maybe I've got somebody with warrants in the car. Maybe I've got somebody who's up to nefarious things and I need backup. But, if you do it the right way, putting your hazard lights on is the key. And I'm not saying that works every time. I think now, with YouTube and all the ways that cops can learn, just like citizens can learn, cops are now coming to the conclusion that more people do that. it's not always expected, but it's not a surprise to a police officer anymore when somebody does something like this.
